Many people are having a problem receiving their bismuth when sending bismuth from cryptopia into their online webwallet.
there was a colon that was included in my address at the very end in excel from my withdraw history.
address: c1954d6d18b098b904de8c188232ea04a44b59dd36a81b318a91f3a4:

transactionid1: A3/upwTAW5ljp2Q2GomXzT0s3k1/dFw6ZSQ9LwqV8Ro74P1Oywz8hOChcfCKF27T
transactionid2: HWXw4KhNFp0UATBIqW73+/hjFjxu9ReV5GNr8u1f7/IK3aM8dfiTgKsmyAgYsGFe

I'm positive it's a bug that is happening on cryptopia. It happened twice with my transactions on two separate days.

Can someone make sure that i'm not the only one with a random colon in my receiving address. thank you

not just to online wallet...my ticket is withdrawal to my local wallet..

anybody having problems withdrawing coins from cryptopia?

Yes, I withdrew coins from Cryptopia on January 3rd and still have not received them. They have also not yet responded to my support ticket submitted later the same day.

Can you please advise where to submit said support ticket?

Thanks

in the upper right corner of the site, your username is a drop down tab, you will see "support" there..

my ticket hasn't been resolved yet BTW..

the BIS withdrawal I made in December 30 is fine...the BIS I withdrew in January 6 is still not in my wallet, there is still no reply on my ticket too.

I suspect HBM2 production still isn't ramping up enough to support as much Vega production as AMD would prefer.

I have ZERO doubt that the AMD current shortage/price jumps are mining-related - and same on the Nvidia 1070 (which is seeing AMD cards pushing into it's price area some) and 1070 ti.

Oddly enough there doesn't seem to be any shortage on 1060 cards - though pricing seems to have going up some.

Still, I think even aside from this AMD missed the boat big time. and, the HBM2 issue doesn't explain the Nvidia shortages on their higher end cards.  THis is a lot like the market shortage back in Q2. First, all the AMD 4xx & 5xx disappeared then Nvidia was next to go short. I think there are still a lot of people that think AMD first when it comes to mining, given they were clearly the better choice before so many Equihash coins become very profitable to mine with GTX.

The really ODD part is that it's NVIDIA cards that are in really short supply now, AMD cards have had the pricing jump the last week but they're still AVAILABLE, Nvidia cards 1070 and up are not only price rise some but availability VERY short.

It's not just Newegg - EVGA themselves had very few "available" cards in the 1070 and up range when I checked this afternoon, NONE of the 1070 ti models except the Hybrid, 2 or 3 each on the 1070 1080 and 1080 ti.

yup sold out here, happened to grab the last 3x zotac 1080ti amp extreme from a store after i made inquiries on multiple stores..it maybe here in my door step by tomorrow.

one of the store said to me that there will be price increase after the stocks sold out.

will and when will masternodes be implemented for BIS?

how many coins will we need??

Thanks

10k for a masternode, not sure when they will be available but thinking is soon, early 2018.

if that's true, it is a lot of coins and a fewer masternodes compared to DASH...(100,000,000 / 10,000) < (18,000,000 / 1000) ....almost half..

One question for the experts here - once you hit ROI on your gear (kind of the goal you are going for from the start and now it needs something new) are you paying out some of your coins as fiat on your bank account or do you just keep reinvesting?
I was thinking to start withdrawing coins to cover the monthly electricity costs and maybe new cards but if 2018 will be like 2017 it would be rather stupid to cash out any decent project/coin right now?

Really interested on how you guys handle this.

I pull enough coin to pay the bills as fiat, the rest gets reinvested into more hardware to grow the farm.

This might change at some point in 2018 as I'm starting to see the limits of my infrastructure - worst case I shut down the A2 farm to free up some additional power for the GPU side, though I've also been thinking about replacing the A2s with 841s or something.

Anyone else notice that NVidia "good mining" cards seem to be in much worse shortage right now than AMD "good mining" cards?

Even the 1080 ti is getting noticeably short - which did NOT happen during the big Spring mining surge.

I have to wonder if NVidia is ramping down Pascal production in favor of ramping up Volta production so they have a "good supply of cards" on hand when Volta gets announced and goes on sale (possibly Feb, probably March timeframe, per a comment an EVGA employee dropped somewhere in their forums).

yeah I'm really getting impatient for volta, I want buy 12x 1080 ti's now and to replace my 8x 280x here and 4x 290x....but i'll wait

something is wrong with eggpool miner..

on eggpool, my miner address page, the hashrate is correct, last seen is correct....the shares are 0 in all rigs, mining rigs are all hashing normally..

I close the program and reopen and then the shares started appearing on my miner address page...so if you have 0 shares and your miner is hashing, you have to restart the program. this sucks for a 10% fee miner/pool

no wonder my address was missing in the top miner page list.

How many minutes you have waited, because pool updates very slow, like every 5 minutes, end shares in BIS is very difficult so in an hour you get like 5-6 shares with a 6 GPU rig. Per share reward in BIS is big. So you wont see shares coming too often in pool, its little different.

all my rigs were 0 shares, they used to be in the top miner list, it was gone and when i close and open the egg miner...it returned to the miners list with low hashrate(and going up) and shares started appearing in my address page in eggpool...

it is not about minutes that I waited when I started mining, my rigs were already mining, getting shares, earned coins and after a day this happened.

I am skeptical on the sturdiness of onda boards...we'll see, I still prefer good quality gaming boards because manufacturers did make sure they are built durable..I recently bought second hand ~ 160$ z170 sabertooth (enthusiast are upgrading to z370), still have 4 years warranty from asus..........after I bought it i come to realize WTF!! thinking I got a ~8 year old s775 motherboards mining for 4years already which only cost me 30$ each

i love my onda b250 d8p v1. as for longevity, we will see but its rock stable for me so far.

"gaming" boards are more about cpu/memory power phases and stability (for those monster OCs), better sound, "optimized" networking etc. stuff that mining boards do not need. miners are a different beast. all they they need is full size slots, decent spacing between slots and a BIOS that caters to multi gpu configs. basic power delivery to the cpu and memory is fine as no one is going to oc the cpu and memory (well maybe cpu miners but then get a gamer mobo for that).

back in 386/486/pentium/p2/p3/p4 days boards were very basic, and i had rigs that ran for pretty much for years 24/7 and they were still running when i retired them. and basic is all a mining board needs.

the gaming boards i bought wasn't so extreme....I was just going for solid/good capacitors, I've seen problematic boards back then with bloated/leaking caps.

gaming boards are sturdy, not too thin...maybe they can also handle mining room heat better with their heat sinks, even though they are not overclocked, GPUs are heating them.

only gaming boards have 4-5 pcie sockets around 2007-2009..........so obliviously they are my pick

Hey @phillipma1957 what are my chances of getting two Onda v2 8 slot boards by the end of the year?  I don't need to take delivery but want them paid for in calendar year 2017.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to deal with risers anymore.  Just built my second four card 1080 Ti rig and the risers were a bitch.  One of them ended up being bad or incompatible and it costs me a ton of time.  Plus, risers are such a kludge when I see that I can build a multi GPU system with one of these new motherboards.

risers is a must when temperature is an issue, you need proper spacing, onda boards are great for water cooled gpus like what phillipma1957 posted up thread because the heat is passed from gpus to the radiators and you can point them where ever you like.

got 4 years old risers still mining here, their molex connectors are turning black-not from burning but from old age (elements).

before using risers make sure you scrub those white stuff (soldering flux residue) under the pcb board before using, always have a proper usb wire, don't rely on the usb cables included in the riser pack....although they can be good at times (because when troubleshooting you have to deduce/process of elimination like when you use the good quality cable and it didn't work you can say that it is not the wire, you proceed looking for the problem)

I was thinking of creating onda style rig---risers are screwed on a plywood (replaceable bad pcie slot)

take a look at zotac, they have 5 year warranty

plus they don't put stickers in screws- useful when you need to re apply thermal paste

spots wood build video 4 1070tis 3 1080tis

Your video will be live at: https://youtu.be/YjIG9oebnW0

that's a wonderful rig, i think maybe the radiators should be at the other side, cards are designed to exhaust some heat at their rear not in their front...if temps are okay no worries then.

EDIT: i forgot they are water cooled haha was thinking about hybrids.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Current best powered risers available? on: December 22, 2017, 01:17:23 PM
Bad connections can happen with ANY connector type, especially if you plug and unplug the connector a lot.
Molex one downside is that it can be a bit of a pain sometimes to get the pins aligned properly when you push the connector into the socket - if you do that with care you should never have an issue.

One thing I HAVE noticed is that a lot of riser makers seem to "cheap out" on the soldering job, I've seen a few MOLEX risers where the MOLEX connector wasn't soldered AT ALL, just a press fit - which is a DEFINITE recipie for failure on a frequent basis.

Version 6 should be the MINIMUM riser generation to consider - not that they're more efficient, but they're more RELIABLE than anything older.

this is correct..I have molex risers version 3 from 2013, mining for 4 years already.

If you run into problems with any of your risers, I've found that in probably 99% of the cases I've had problems it was their cheap USB cable, not the riser or the PCI connector.  Although I've phased out my riser use, towards the end I just bought 1.5ft USB cables for all my risers and swapped them regardless if I had problems or not.  Saved me a bunch of hassle in the long run...

not just the usb connectors sometimes there are white stuff under the riser board...that white stuff is something that is left after soldering, this can conduct electricity and cause problems, people should check and scrub them off before using just to make sure.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3x 1080ti or 5x 1070ti? on: December 22, 2017, 08:34:09 AM
i still have my 280x..it's mining for 4years already.....if there is a card that I will use for a long time it is 1080ti

back then 280x vs 290/290x performance and efficiency ratio is not that great, that's why 280x is the king at that time..

if 1070ti today is the 280x of 2013-2014..then it is the winner if not...1080ti it is...

i have a bunch of 280x and they are waiting for 2080ti to retire since a 1080ti equihash is just a little bit over x2 of that 280x...not that tempting, if volta delivers x3 of 280x hash, that's too tempting to replace those old gpus.

I hope my transfers go through, I'm delaying the mining equipment purchases and going to dump it all on BtC if it hits 11k

havn't you guys been selling coins regularly like I have been telling everyone for the last month!

I have all my money in money and in gear.

I have under 5k in coins

and over 50k in gear.

all paid for.

I prefer a december crash  over a january one.

and I have efficient gear.

been here mining since 2013...I could care less about that crash or whatever that is

2x zotac 1080 ti amp extreme coming today or tomorrow  Cheesy

my MSI 390 and MSI 290X is about 2 months since i first lube it, my HIS 480 is about 3 months already..sapphire 280x is at least 6 months....

Sapphire is ALL ball bearing fans - have been as far back as I've been using them.

I'm pretty sure MSI is all ball bearing fans as well.

HIS - varies with the model. Ice-Q and "reference blower" models seem to all be ball bearing, "lesser" models usually are not.

my HIS 480 is IceQ Roaring OC and IceQ OC...I haven't disassembled them to the point of getting the bushing off, I'll take a second look at them if they have any ball bearing in there            when the next lubing is scheduled...but sapphire 280x dual x is clearly not ball bearing...since I'm not willing to disassemble it just to prove something, here is a link that will clear things and might help (you can see sapphire 280x dual x sleeve bearing being converted to ball bearing)  http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/sleeve-to-dual-ball-bearing-fans/

I can say thru experience that ball bearing will still get some rejuvenation with lubing because I've lube a ball bearing 92mm and a 120mm...they died after a month, the culprit is the black asphalt like material I used to cover the hole....when I did some investigating the oil dissolved some of the asphalt like material and it leeched inside the bearing, the fan being high speed means more damage.....but I also conclude that oil leeches inside ball bearings therefore it helps ball bearing too because I just put a little drop of oil and just return the sticker(no more using the asphalt like material to cover ball bearing 92mm and 120mm fans)r-these fans are already at least 6 months running with no problem.

used that asphalt like material to cover my oiled lower speed 92mm fans in 2016, they are still fine, I can say some asphalt like material dissolved in there too but I think it just made the lube a little bit thicker which is not that damaging to sleeve bearing--acting more like a grease..a very light grease.

in my opinion 6 months re lubing is okay...but if it takes a year to re lube, its great...it is like re lubing together with each general clean up of a card.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 21, 2017, 05:54:23 AM
Actually, I was planning on *2* of my 92 mm - not 3.
I think I DID say "one per heatsink".
120mm wouldn't FIT right, way too high.

I've done the "relube" thing too many times to count - and it never works for long as the seals are ALREADY shot by the time you do that.
Short-term "buy time for a better option" at BEST, usually lucky to get a month of working fan out of relubing and if the bearing/shaft is too WORN you won't get a week if it works at all.

that is a 2x 120mm on a 390 sapphire tri x, you just have to raise it a little bit higher...

i don't know about seals being "ALREADY shot" fans just snap out and snap back in, fixed the wiggling from an HIS rx 480 recently, a msi r9 390 - a fan sometimes not turning, when you spin it with your finger it doesn't spin smoothly..you can feel the lack of lubrication..a msi r9 290x twin frozr and a sapphire 280x dual x too..for me so far so good..

here is a 3x 92mm on a fury strix at 48c..I think you will need three BTW....for me I prefer 2x 120mm

note: the riser on this fury strix and on that 390 is 4 years old  Cool

..maybe one per heat sink...depends on the size of the cards

The whole reason that sleeve bearing fans fail is that the seals that seal the lube INTO the fan bearing fail and let the lube leak out.
"snap out and snap back in" does not fix that issue, and tends to cause MORE damage to the seals.
Any lube you add to a fan that has already had the seals start leaking isn't going to be around for long - at which point the fan fails AGAIN, usually in less than a month and rarely in 1-2 months.

The pic you showed of the 120mm was making my point - a 120 sticks up too far, and on my current setup won't FIT. 92mm on the other hand is about the same height as the HS and will fit - and I already HAVE the 92 mm fans.

I doubt I'd need 3 fans for anything - the 92mm NMB fans I have flow a LOT more air than the gimp fans card makers put on GPUs.
They're not high-end Delta 38mm thick screamers, but they ARE good for a lot more airflow than the original Gigabyte fans are rated at - and the extra thickness isn't enough to be an issue.
Even with only 2 of the 3 original fans working at ALL on the Gigabyte Windforce 3-fan cards, they stay fairly cool.

different solutions for different situations...i guess..

looking at my fury strix temps i can say two 92mm can cool it.

my MSI 390 and MSI 290X is about 2 months since i first lube it, my HIS 480 is about 3 months already..sapphire 280x is at least 6 months....I can say that they are obviously better compared to the times when they are not yet lubed..

I'm thinking if leaking is a problem, I will look and try a good grease....grease are not good at leaking.(thinking about silicone grease at this time)
