I still think its better to buy 1080 ti instead , you might be giving up some /little efficency for the density but in the end you are going for long yerm benefit , because these will still stand there fround against next gen gpus and hence price fall wont be that much for resale and 1080 ti just sounds much cooler than a 1070ti :p , But yeah this. Efficency is a good step  1070 ti is gddr5 1080/1080 ti is gddr5x ---> this generation or memory may bring future advantages regarding density 1070 ti is not very far from 1080 ti, 1060 is ... anyway density is efficiency too..lets say a 5x 1080 ti rig is ~3500 sols that is a 7x 1070 ti rig, the point is if your motherboards is 5x pcie, you need another board/system to put the 2x 1070 ti, additional system power consumption reduces overall efficiency. assuming space is not a problem, but for home based miners with a room/basement allocated to mining (limited space) density is a must. |

4 GTX 1070 ti run at the OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY ballpark of 106 watts (give or take about 4 in my recent testing) should be comfortable on a good-quality 750 watt PS like a Seasonic X-750 Gold or EVGA G2 750 with enough left over to run the rest of the system.
If you run them at full 180 watt TDP though, that's 720 watts average draw which is NOT going to run reliably on a single 750.
5 of them at 110 watt TDP are quite comfortable running on a single 850 - which pulls very close to 6 amps at the wall with a Seasonic X-850 or EVGA G2 850 and a FX-8350E based AM3+ system (CPU makes up for it's higher power draw vs an Intel G4600/4560 type system by mining Monero at about 320 hash/s).
5 of them on a low-power system would probably be close to 5.5 amps (might want to push TDP down to 106 or so to get to 5.3-5.4 range) - which is a comfortable fit on a 20 amp circuit for 3 such rigs.
And yes, if you have not maxed out your available power and that power is cheap enough, it makes sense to run them at higher TDP levels for the extra hashrate - part of the reason I showed so many TDP power points in my testing.
If you ARE pushing the limits of your available power, though, it CAN make sense to aim for better efficiency so you can run more cards and get more overall hashrate even if your power is FREE.
Also, the more efficient points tend to let the card run cooler and with less fan speed, for better longevity.
a 1200-1300w platinum or titanium rated PSU will push the efficiency a bit more, because typically PSUs efficiency curve peaks at round 50% of max load capacity |

crypto don't need saving, it is decentralized. profit and greed attracts people into crypto from below average joe to billionaires..that's how crypto will unfold if it is to be adopted worldwide..if governments fights crypto..of course it won't be a walk in the park but we'll see, either way crypto is here to stay. at worst governments will issue their own cryptos like what's russia is planning with crypto ruble, reaping the benefits of crypto tech and banning the conversion of bitcoin and other cryptos to fiat in their respective countries plus closing exchanges..or governments might compromise in the form of "tax".. happy mining everyone  |

The price rised and become flat at 1129. It has been like that for hours. Kinda strange. No cheap FLiK anymore.
coinexchange is still halted, last time i saw it was ~800 and when i'm going to send some BTC, that exchange halted lol..in etherdelta, too few flik for sale..the 549k sell wall is waaay up the sell orders -not cheap..must be waiting for the platform. the only thing that's working there is the freakin' trollbox....should call their exchange trollexchange! |

anyway the real value will show up when the platform is released..not just being added on other exchanges. just look at the roadmap and analyze..  they will accept BTC, LTC, ETH, and credit cards...these will be pegged to USD price. example if rentals are 1$: if you are about to pay 1$ you have to send an x amount of BTC or x amount of LTC or x amount of ETH or thru credit card. but FLIK tokens are already valued at 1 FLIK for rentals, if FLIK is cheaper like 5c, people will just buy FLIK on exchanges and pay for rentals with FLIK --->that's how price will increase for sure. now the founders hired a company (digital glue) to be their developer..this is way better than getting some dev from the internet and that dev potentially running away (with the money/tokens) from the founders and investors like a lot of shit coin devs do around here. |

BTW i believe if you have an old wallet with coins with it, you will have both coins. I have 2.0 I believe and need to switch to 2.1 wallet... so my coins are after the fork. i don't know much about video content creation and how people make business out of it but i know a person who is not from US that write books that is being sold at amazon...the process of sending checks by amazon to banks outside US takes a long time and amazon will take a cut of about (forgot the exact figures but is more like this) 40-60% of the profit from the book creator.. the more profit for the content creators, the cheaper and better the products will be, more creators will be participating/competing and in time things will get better and better. that's just the way things are. crypto payments is the future, it is instant, borderless, and secure. These guys might just pull it off...watching them and watching my investment |

Read the roadmap you're posting. It's 1 flik for 1 movie rental. So that means you can watch a 100 movies, you won't have a lifetime subscription. Besides, I don't see how they're going to deal with all the movierights in different countries - the biggest challenges that Netflix is facing. No, I don't buy it.
I agree. This is what i was going to write and saw your post. Netflix has lots of issues about that and there is no common movie market for them yet. Different countries and different market size. Besides, i dont believe this “killer” idea. You can’t just kill a billion dollar company with an app. what flik is trying to do is not just an app but also a website like youtube that accepts credit cards, bitcoin, eth and flik. the idea is for the benefit of producers.....for consumer angle one thing is certain they are open for crypto users. |

hey guys. i'm invested in flik but i'm concerned about it. the idea behind flik is really great and i believe it could add value to the film industry, if adopted by people and artists.
but i'm afraid of their communication with the public and token holders. Do you think it's transparent? Do you know whats going on with them? I don't wanna call it a scam but they publish no news, nobody knows whats really going on behind the scenes. Their work is really intransparent in my opinion in comparison with other crypto related projects. Look at the whitepaper itself it looks really cheap all this stuff doesn't seem very professionell to me. So i will wait and maybe sell my coins because of these thoughts.
Do you only believe in this coin/platform or whats up with 'em? I can only guess, there are no real facts.
More speculation rather an investment ... Lets wait for the token burn. What's your opinion?
