2481  Economy / Economics / Re: LETS KICK OUT POVERTY USING BITCOIN on: November 11, 2018, 03:35:11 PM
There are still drawbacks from investing or trying to earn from Bitcoin. Yes it has a chance to improve some individual's life but that is when they are earning from it. You see the drawback here is there is no guarantee that they will be earning from Bitcoin, even if it is new money pouring in their country it will only happen if they sold BTC at a higher price when they bought it. You still need to consider that this people below the poverty line lack education and crawling into a risky market like the crypto market is risky if they entered without knowledge of what they are trying to do.
2482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: November 11, 2018, 01:15:33 PM
Many traders have come to the point that all the predictions are worthless. Crypto depends on the interest, trust and people's desire to put up money, resources, time in it, desire to use it. So we need a new hype to see the bullrun again. And, I guess, there's hardly going to be a hype unless the regulators come to some positives decisions concerning crypto.
You are correct if you are referring to prediction without basis but only what their gut feels, but predictions based on technical data is something you ca rely on. What you have said about interest, trust, and people's desire can be translated to technical data most of it can be seen as their demand or the volume of the trade. Hype can be clearly seen in the price charts as well. Basically technical analysis can be related to the study of human behavior as it is really what it is, you just have to understand the data that has been given to you.
2483  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-11] Crypto Exchange in South Korea Pulls Exit Scam, Stealing $30 Millio on: November 11, 2018, 11:52:08 AM
This would really harm the reputation of South Korea being a crypto-friendly country. This might send waves in the industry as well considering that another exchange pulled an exit scam this month. Just like what the news said I just wish that they also had implemented the same kind of regulation and monitoring to the crypto exchange business in their country just like what they are doing with the ICO industry. Just like what Japan is doing where they are closely monitoring all aspects in the industry, this could easily be avoided or be remedied at first glance.
2484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to stay safe when dealing with exchanges and their support managers. on: November 10, 2018, 08:53:29 PM
I have been doing the things you have mentioned constantly but before doing those I am focused on doing a background check on the exchange itself first. Doing a quick search in Google you will see if the exchange you are planning to trade with is either reliable or not. You will see a lot of past complaints, scandals, and even confirmed scams which will alert you with red flags on stepping away from that site. Even the big names in the industry there is nothing wrong on doing background checks as you might find something new that you won't like if your trade with their platform.

THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES DID IT!!!! THEY TRADED JIMMY BUTLER AWAY!!!!

Main pieces involve includes Philadelphia 76ers sending Robert Covington and Dario Saric to the Wolves. I think that Minnesota won this trade as they actually got rid a toxic player which has also an expiring contract for two players that can help the young core until 2020. Covington an all defensive first team player can help the Wolves in defense while Saric can be a good backup for Gibson. Yes a lot of fans think that the Timberwolves got robbed but I think it is the other way around since this trade actually send some players that can help the team in the future.
2486  Other / Meta / Re: IS THE MERIT SYSTEM being used correctly by a small clique of individuals here on: November 10, 2018, 09:53:19 AM
2. That high merit receivers/givers are circle jerking and backslapping each other and not seeking out lower rank members who are worthy of merit to enable them to legitimately move up ranks.
I believe that is what they called "Reciprocal Merit", it is when they send back sMerit/s to the one who have given them sMerits. This happens commonly and there is nothing wrong about is as long as the post is "meritable". Sometimes when a good conversation is happening and they have known each other in the forum they send back and forth the merits as a way of appreciating what they have said previously even on the past threads they have conversed with. These merits are not wasted as it is given to someone who is worthy of it. The wrong way to use reciprocal merits is when they use it as means of ranking up their own accounts and use it to produce more merits in order to sell, you can even see that the posts receiving the merits are really shitty to even be given one.
2487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 08, 2018, 09:11:54 PM
A sorry missed coming from DRose, but he's really looking good now, seeing him like that is just seeing the old chicago, if KAT will play like buzzer which
is a role player and not acting like a superstar this team can be a competitive as it is, the combo of Wiggins, KAT, Gibson, Butler and DRose if they can play as one, the franchise have a good chance for this season, hope no injury that will happen to any of them.
You should know that Jimmy Butler will be out of the picture sooner rather than later. From what I know so far Jimmy is toxic in the locker room making both Wiggins and KAT play below their potential whenever Jimmy is with them on the court. Another thing what I don't like about Jimmy at the start of the season is he choose when to play or not, he has miss several games already even though he is in perfect condition to play. He is basically telling the team to trade him already which if I am the coach I have done it already even before the season starts. Thibs shouldn't be the one handling the trade talks as he obviously is stalling any offers to him.
2488  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Question about customs and taxes for BTC. on: November 08, 2018, 08:38:51 PM
As far as I know New Zealand is the only country that demands on inspecting your mobile devices (laptops included) if it contains illegal documents and/or cryptocurrencies that you haven't declared when you are entering the country. However I don't see any news/reports that the U.S. customs are doing it in their country as it could be counted as invasion of privacy which a lot of people are saying that is currently happening in New Zealand. About declaring what you are bringing in the U.S. you should declare monetary instruments you have brought by entering in the country, so I am not so sure if you will declare your BTC or not.
2489  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 big news - Bullish sing or manipulation? on: November 08, 2018, 07:14:28 PM
With the risk standard of what FINMA has set (800% from the current value of BTC), I think that it might be not appealing to the financial service providers as the risk involve is too damn high. Finacial institutions don't like risky assets and setting up a target value of 50,000$ is not really realistic. If you think that this is a good news for us think again, we might see some financial institutions backing out if FINMA confirms this price points. To make it clear, they are not predicting BTC to go up to 50,000$, they are just saying that 50k must be assumed by banks to cover up the market and credit risk involve with the asset.
2490  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Volatility: Creeping Evil or Essence of Crypto on: November 08, 2018, 06:25:01 PM
In fact, in the past years when the price of bitcoin was very small, governments and banks did not comment on bitcoin, because they did not look at price and volatility as very dangerous, but when the price began to rise from $ 6,000 to $ 20,000 has aroused the attention of many governments and banks and the argument of banks and governments is that this high volatility is very dangerous. So in my opinion the volatility is Creeping Evil
Well it depends on your point of view, I also know for a fact that the march from 6,000$ to 20,000$ attracted a lot of new investors who most of them don't even know how to trade, these people of course are now either holding crypto assets at a loss or has cut their losses by by now. Of course the government will be concerned about this as also some of their citizens are affected with the sudden correction and it might affect their economy badly. Aside from that their is also an issue about people in the industry who are not paying their taxes right, for people who have gained a lot in the last bull run it will be unfair for the others to see them run away without paying their taxes right, so a government interference is really needed to make some right regulations to work in the crypto market.
2491  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: November 08, 2018, 05:25:29 PM
What are the BCH deposit times looking like? My transaction has been pending for a while now and it kinda sucks. lol
It's usually instant, deposits in your account usually appear after just 1 confirmation of the transaction. If it takes time and still your BCH is not appearing in your account what you can do next is to chat with their live support and submit a ticket for the complaint, they can entertain your concern much faster if you issue this with them directly.
2492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the most reliable? on: November 08, 2018, 02:29:01 PM
All of those exchanges are reliable and their rates and fees are competitive as well. What of course will differentiate them is their support locally. Some exchanges you mention don't have the best withdrawal methods on the countries which they don't support locally so cashing out via bank deposit won't be an option. You must do your own research and find out if your country is supported by them with good cash in and cash out methods as this will give them the edge in terms of convenience.
2493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good Telegram groups for beginners to ask questions, chat? on: November 08, 2018, 12:28:36 PM
Hi there!

I know there are lots of crypto and blockchain groups on Telegram, most likely thousands. Every ICO has their own. But, for a newbie, who wants to learn, have educational conversations, chat about crypto - what are good groups for that?

Thanks!
I have tried to be active on telegram groups before and all of them turned out to be money making machines for them. These groups that I am talking about are offering a community where they help newbies with their guides, price predictions, analysis, and Q&As, at first all of them will give you tips and guides for free but later on after the creation of the group you will see them frequently offering "Premium Services" which cause a certain amount of BTC to join this premium group will give you "100% Guaranteed" ways of earning with their "guaranteed guide and price predictions". After that these kinds of groups will become toxic and inactive as the creators are not active managing and moderating it anymore, they may have move on to another group to offer their services again.

My advice is to stay away from this kinds of telegram groups as they really don't want to help you in the first place, they just want your money. You are better of learning something in the forum as most probably what you are asking is already in here.
2494  Other / Meta / Re: Question about numbers on: November 07, 2018, 07:49:42 PM
If you are a source of merit what makes you unable to feed your alt-accounts?
My conscience Tongue

Merit transactions are public, abuse is heavily frowned upon.
Plus merits sources would have to be dumb to do it, it is hard to be one of the merit sources and it is handpicked by theymos himself so I doubt an abuser will slip through the cracks out of the 119 of them. The list of merits being given away is always recorded and will stay in your account for 120 days, and even if that 120 days is gone the data can still be pull out and your entire merit history is still retrievable and LoyceV made it easier for us to do so. If you are planning to abuse it now, chances are you will receive a red tag soon for merit abuse.
2495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 07, 2018, 06:29:39 PM
After sawing Red Star Belgrade beating Liverpool yesterday, I guess Viktoria Plzen might have a slim chance to beat Real Madrid today in the Uefa Champions League with home ground advantage, this would surely be an amazing achievement for Viktoria Plzen if they are able to create this miracle today.
Lets be realistic here for the moment, Viktoria Plzen here might got away withe 2-1 loss against Real Madrid but the whole match Madrid dominated the game with almost 70% of the ball is with their possession and both of the first two goals of the game was with them. Not to mention they had a favorable victory against Roma with 3 goals to nil, for me it will look like a one sided game for Madrid as they will be planning to take the lead in Group C as they are now tied with Roma with 6 points each.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Social Media Outlets for Crypto on: November 07, 2018, 05:14:38 PM
I'll second the one who has mentioned Reddit. If you are looking for like-minded persons, you will find the exact group on a particular subreddit page you will be posting. The interaction is healthy between each members as they are pretty open and helpful to the community. Some popular (and lesser known) cryptocurrencies do even have their own subreddit pages where people openly discussed their thoughts, analysis, news, and predictions to one another. Yes there are biases but almost all the conversation I have seen are healthy and helpful.
2497  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet issue-not showing amount on: November 07, 2018, 03:59:17 PM
If it is showing a red circle in your connection status maybe try adjusting some settings with your firewall and if that didn't work try looking at the anti-virus you have installed as sometimes they block the connection of Electrum prohibiting you to connect with its servers. Also try and restore your seed in other devices first, this way you will know if your pc really has the problem with the servers or not.
2498  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 15% capital gain tax in US? on: November 07, 2018, 02:20:43 PM
From what I know the 15% capital gains tax is not fixed (it may belong to just a certain tax bracket) in the United States as it will be different across the board depending on how much income you are earning each fiscal year. I won't go into detail as articles found in Google would definitely help you more but just like the Income Tax the rate in capital gains tax will be different from each bracket. Another thing to put in mind is it a little bit more complicated as there is also a classification of short (1 year or less) and long term (greater than 1 year) assets both of which will have different tax rates as well on their respective boards.
2499  Economy / Economics / Re: The world that all money have become crypto currencies issued by government on: November 07, 2018, 11:08:14 AM
To embrace the blockchain, coins must be set up.
This isn't entirely true. If you want the government to have a good relationship with blockchain or the cryptocurrency industry they must find a way to (legally) bond with them in terms of legislation and regulation. Creating their own state-issued cryptocurrency is really not part of any way of blending in with blockchain as this state issued coins are only based on their personal interest with the market. Just take a look at how the RBI (India's Central Bank) is handling things by removing the competition (exchanges & cryptocurrencies) and limiting the cryptocurrencies allowed in their country just to make way with their own state-issued cryptocurrency, this example of India just shows that they really don't care about the adaption of the market as they are keen on having the whole demand focused on what they are only offering.
2500  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-06] First cryptocurrency exchange to officially open in Dubai on: November 07, 2018, 10:29:27 AM
Opening up a business in these middle-eastern countries are really easy. With the non-strict laws they have about business opportunities you can open up your own business with just 1 day in total processing. If this cryptocurrency exchange will open up a successful market in Dubai there is no doubt that it will be poised to open up other business opportunities related to that industry. The good thing about this one is if this market becomes successful we will definitely see an increase in demand for the whole cryptocurrency market.
