1501  Other / Meta / Re: Since 2018, what did you contribute to prevent signature ads removed globally? on: August 22, 2019, 03:16:45 PM
I think it can be improved like this:

Brand new: Same
Newbie:   Same
Jr Member: Same
Member: 10 but must get at least 1 merit for each 100 activity points to maintain the rank, if not, user will drop to Jr. Member
Full Member: 75 but must get 5 merits for each 200 activity points to maintain the rank, if not, user will drop to Member
Sr. Member: 150 but must but must get 10 for each 400 activity points to maintain the rank, if not, user will drop to Full Member
Hero Member: 450 but must get 50 for each 800 activity points to maintain the rank, if not, user will drop to Senior Member
Legendary: 750 but must get 100 for each 1000-1200 activity points to maintain the rank, if not, user will drop to Hero Member

The question is does the 21,045 sMerits being generated by merit sources enough to satisfy all the members from dropping their ranks? Now I don't the exact number of active members here in the forum but 21k won't cut it even if it send half of the sMerits sent to them it still not enough to guarantee all the members can receive sMerits. The merit system is designed to make post better not create a turmoil in the community in which makes members desperate on ranking up with the "Rolling Merit" idea you have you will only create merit selling more profitable for people who are actually doing it, as what have been discussed before they are doing their business elsewhere and they'll have a huge demand for their merits once this will be introduce.
1502  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May tax ba ang Cryptocurrency? on: August 21, 2019, 09:39:20 PM

If freelancer ka tas yung pinambabayad sayo is Bitcoin then labeled sya as income kaya lalapag sya sa ating Income Tax na nag-iistart nga sa 250,000 which is 20% of the excess of 250k, para malinaw Income ito hah ibig sabihin kahit naka tanggap ka ng 125,000 in Pesos tas 125,000 pesos in BTC suma tutal 250,000 an income mo for that year.

1503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin this time ? on: August 21, 2019, 08:26:20 PM
I am not into day trading but what I can say for Bitcoin right now is it's not looking good for the bulls as Bitcoin did end on a lower high for the day @10100$ which is around 900$ loss of its value. If Bitcoin doesn't recover from this price then we can expect Bitcoin to move down to its known support level which is around 9,450$-9,500$ range. MACD isn't showing signs of any bullish crossover on its daily chart but it's RSI is near the oversold level so we can expect for Bitcoin just to settle down for a bit maybe a day or two (or shorter).
1504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets Risks / Benefits in 2019! on: August 21, 2019, 07:39:42 PM
~snip~
Most likely the reason that they want you to download software is to utilize your GPU/CPU to mine, and perhaps to log your HWID against people who make duplicate accounts?

I know most faucets already have some sort of webminer embedded on their site, so if you want to f* your computer over real good to 100% CPU usage, a single visit to your average faucet is enough to do so.

If they are only using it to mine then I know just like what you said a website enabling it to do so is already enough but for me to download a software just to get a few pennies out of you every 30 minutes or so now that's something fishy and chances are if it's not about utilizing your cpu/gpu it's about introducing malware into your system. One thing to note that is not only faucet sites are trying to hijack your cpu/gpu anymore, I know normal websites are doing it as well. One of the biggest names that has been found doing so is UFC as they have used their website's visitors to mine monero before. That's why using system monitors like NZXT's CAM is useful in these situations even if you are just browsing the web.

I don't know if Ribery will have an important role on-field but I know he will have a very important role on mentoring the wonderkids Fiorentina have and that is why I think the team has signed him into their roster. I'm talking about Ribery mentoring Federico Chiesa on his winger role which Ribery was successful with Bayern Munich which I think Ribery would successfully do because he has the experience and knowledge to share to him. At 36 years old I don't expect him to play as much as he used to do so but I know I'll see him act as a coach and as a mentor for the team.
1506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets Risks / Benefits in 2019! on: August 21, 2019, 05:41:47 PM
I was lucky when I was still a newbie in the world of Bitcoin way back in 2016 all the faucets I have participated isn't one of those fraudulent ones. I don't know if its luck or criminals are not yet into the faucet scams during that time. But now I've been seeing a lot of faucets where I need to download their software so that I can start earning which for me is really questionable to begin with, faucet websites doesn't even need to be that complicated in the first place in order to run and earn. Also for newbies reading this their are phishing sites acting out as faucets but what they really want is to obtain your private keys from you having the mistake to enter them in the first place, if they asked for more then your address or email address (to sign up) then you should stay away from it.

Searching also the faucet in Google to know its legitimacy also works by putting some keywords like this.

1507  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Tax notices from IRS this year for previous years on: August 21, 2019, 03:50:45 PM
I used poloniex.

Anyone know if poloniex submitted any information?

since Poloniex is based on US already, then it is best if you assume that they have reported your history to the different government agencies. even if they haven't it should always be a possibility that they will do in an instant upon request.

You should take note that not all of their clients' trading history are being submitted to the IRS for review, the order for them was to submit "random" trade reports or unusual amounts of trades coming from their clients. And yes being a U.S. compliant exchanges I expect them to be one of the companies being required to submit trade reports. @OP are you sure that your calculations are done properly? Because the IRS won't even be on your radar if the gap from your real earnings is that big from what you have reported. And you also don't have to worry if you didn't fabricate your tax report as you'll just get a re-audit from them at best.
1508  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong Activist Leader Calls For A Run On Chinese Banks Tomorrow (Friday) on: August 20, 2019, 03:45:13 PM
Well that would be a dumb move if you are considering ways to protest. Basically Hong Kong is at war right now and if the locals decided to unite and withdraw their money they will be moving targets by the Chinese, civil wars like these especially when the police are not on their side will make crimes easier to happen if the other side knows that they have withdrew all their money they could take advantage and steal it from them. There are a lot of ways to do protest against them and I don't think this is one of it as it involves the locals risking their own money.
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Find Only 2% Of Bitcoin Transactions Are Unlwaful on: August 19, 2019, 08:27:11 PM
Didn't we already saw it coming ever since the authorities officially stated that Bitcoin is now being used less by criminals ever since they have shift to a more anonymous cryptocurrency such as Monero or Zcash. Anonymity based cryptocurrencies has been a thing to talk about in the crypto regulation space where even countries like Japan and Korea are planning to delist (if they haven't already delisted them yet) them on exchanges. The fact that Bitcoin's transaction now only consist of 2% of them being illegal on shows that crimes didn't stop in the industry they just shifted to another kind of cryptocurrency where the authorities would have a harder time on tracking them. Rather than be happy about the decrease we should be alarmed by it because we don't know how it will affect the future regulations we will have if this thing worsened.
1510  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AllStocks Crypto Exchange Now Offers NO TRADING FEES for 3 Months on: August 19, 2019, 07:58:21 PM
Even though there will supposedly be no trading fees involved I wouldn't trust my capital on a cointelegraph looking website that has no legal information behind it. To be frank your website is more of a news sharing site than an exchange itself. I thought when I click through your direct link it will redirect me to the page for your crypto exchange but I still ended up on a page where there are news being posted. Just look at their page you will literally see no information about their legality on running an exchange. Even an office address is not present at their website, they just have a plain looking contact page which I doubt even works as well.
1511  Economy / Reputation / Re: JSRAW and Me on: August 19, 2019, 07:23:36 PM
Just to add before legendster actually locks the thread. If you aren't actually selling your 3d services here anymore then why would you care if the trolls are using it against you? It doesn't really affect your other trades as well because you don't even offer it anymore. You shouldn't focused on the noise they are making because like what you said they are just "trolls" trying to ruin your time. If you do change your mind and offer your 3d services again the best way to comeback from this neutral rating is to have successful trades with your own portfolio and I know it will just be a matter of time before some positive feedbacks can offset the views of your non-bearing neutral feedback received from both Lutpin and suchmoon. Just don't let the trolls get in your head.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 19, 2019, 06:46:17 PM
~snip~
According to the article:

Quote
The British star told ESPN: "If we both get through our next fights then we’re going to fight February 22nd in the rematch.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/9745739/tyson-fury-confirms-deontay-wilder-rematch-february-22/

So Wilder vs Ortiz first and then Fury vs Wallin. If they both win the match, then a rematch will take place. Are the two really confident that they are going to win against those opponents thats why they are talking about the rematch this early?

Don't want to jinx them, but what if either of those opponents derail their plans though? This is crazy.

Well they should be. Tyson Fury is fighting another Tom Schwarz in the ring who even though is undefeated and has a high KO percentage they still haven't fought a world class boxer bottomline is Tyson Fury is the one who will baptized them in the ring. Wilder on the other hand got lucky that Dillian Whyte got suspended for using performance enhancement drugs into his previous fight so he removed his mandatory fight against him, now Wilder will be facing another boxer who isn't in the top five to prove his skill. Still doesn't prove how this kind of contract agreement work on both parties since I know bouts are always scheduled one at a time only not unless they are just talking about a non-binding verbal agreement.
1513  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What constitutes spam and how best to avoid it on: August 19, 2019, 06:20:06 PM
Sometimes newbies also wonder why their lengthy posts that is on-topic is also deleted by the mods, well they don't put it into consideration that even posting repeated answers makes their post irrelevant to the topic and cannot be considered as helpful for the thread which makes them a target for members reporting it to the mods. Not only reading the OP isn't enough anymore you must also consider what others have been contributing to the thread and must know what you will add new to it next.
In some boards, people simply visit, and write anything they think of, in their perspective, and don't care about what already discussed in above/ previous posts. Somehow their posts are off-topic, and off-context.
Admin mentioned about role of length of post in good posts. It is just one of minor factors and itself is not enough to build up a good post.
oreover, the length of your post and the quality of your English are only minor factors. In trying to write a quality post worthy of merit, you should offer new ideas, personal experiences, or perspectives that other forum users will actually find new and interesting.

That's why simply reading the title or even just the OP won't cut it anymore. You cannot really be relevant if you haven't seen the previous posts before yours, especially if you are just only entering the topic when the thread is already on its 6th or 7th page expect that what you will post without reading any previous has already been answered. I don't even know why newbies try so hard creating their own post that way, because I really find it much easier to compose my reply after I have read what other have been saying. It makes me feel part of the conversation more compared to randomly posting an answer which you don't know if someone has answered it already.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 18, 2019, 08:47:52 PM
Now I don't know how reliable of a source Tyson Fury is but he just confirmed that a rematch against Wilder is set at February 22 at Las Vegas. I don't even know how this is possible since both of them have scheduled fights against other boxers beforehand, I don't know how contracts works so I'm still leaning to this rematch being fake and this is just Fury making some statements ahead of both of their fights. They shouldn't leave out Andy Ruiz in their radar as well as he is also up there with both of them.
1515  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CipherTrace Crypto AML Report Details $4.3 Billion in Schemes on: August 18, 2019, 08:08:39 PM
AML and KYC procedures are not that even as hard and time-consuming compared to when opening an account to a brokerage firm to trade stocks. I remembered that when I opened my account in a brokerage firm a physical appearance is a requirement for you to submit your KYC documentation and that happens yearly as compared to most crypto-exchanges where you submit it online. So really now if things got more stricter in the industry regulation-wise I think that this will just separate the market more down to local exchanges having similar requirements on what the SEC will ask them to do so. The sad part about that is the price on each market will have a disparity as what we are seeing now in Korean and Japanese exchanges.
1516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What constitutes spam and how best to avoid it on: August 18, 2019, 07:28:09 PM
If you make posts/replies with the sole aim of increasing your post count. That would count as spam.

You should expound this more to:

Code:
 - Repeating answers (including paraphrasing it) that already have been said in past posts without adding more value can also be labeled as spam

1517  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 18, 2019, 06:56:50 PM
Look even central banks who has the possibility to print infinite amounts of their fiat currency isn't enough, why do you think "expanding" the units of BTC would solve your nonexistent problem? Why do banks don't print more money as they can to solve their financial problems? Because doing so will just cause inflation and further devalue their own currency, it basically won't solve anything but just dig yourself further to the ground. Just imagine Bitcoin doubling the supply we have now or even just adding half of it. It will just expand its current demand more therefore decreasing the price of Bitcoin. Let's not think about of the number of people Bitcoin can handle if it's supply expanded let the people (demand) adjust for its price increases.
1518  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-17] Nobl Research: 25 Million Americans Are Considering Buying Crypto on: August 17, 2019, 08:59:32 PM
This is what I hate about crypto-news websites the article is more like an advertorial rather than focusing on the statistics itself. It's to obvious when you read the article until the end showing that Nobl Insurance has mentioned "Nobl Crypto" Insurance for trading cryptocurrencies. They didn't even tried to connect the 25 million Americans and how it can translate to real holders they just transitioned to another number which is 10% of the crypto users are using as cold storage to protect their cryptocurrencies and even that has no connection on the insurance product they are trying to promote. What I only get in the "news" so far is companies like Nobl Insurance are trying to prepare for the demand of such protection needed when some of those 25 million Americans will actually start trading cryptos themselves.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight on: August 15, 2019, 10:29:44 PM
If Lomachenko displayed a unbelievable performance during his last two recent fights I believe he will do the same against Luke Campbell. Before this fight and the last one I thought that Jose Pedraza really have a chance against him and he could fight toe to toe with him but as soon as the fight goes after four rounds Lomachenko was like a machine that needs to warm up in order to get better and he totally outclassed Pedraza that night, he may not knocked him out but that's 12 rounds of hell for Pedraza. I believe he will do the same thing against Campbell especially if he lets Lomachenko to do so, he will create a lot of opportunities and Campbell really needs to avoid them all.
1520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Bounces Back to $10K on Fresh Bullish Sentiment on: August 15, 2019, 09:52:35 PM
I'm not closing my doors on believing these so-called "analysts" on what they are saying but sometimes even they are the ones who are discrediting themselves with their wrong predictions, some of them even change their prediction/analysts midway when things are starting to shift out away from their original predictions. Another thing is that some of them don't even have the proper words to back up the target price they are saying it makes them look like they are just hyping Bitcoin up rather than analyzing it which ruins their analysis if there is any. Especially when some "analyst" talks about long term price predictions and we are talking about 2 to 3 years away from the current market situation. You barely see an analyst on where you can based your decisions more and it's hard to always believe in what they are saying especially if you don't know yourself what you will do in the market.
