1521  Other / Meta / Re: Should Evil fees have a maximum? on: August 15, 2019, 07:54:34 PM
How about dividing all the units of evil by the total number of banned accounts in that IP address which we can determine the units of evil per user has to pay? In this case it would be a better alternative compared to setting a standard of 1000 evil units per user has to pay since it won't be a fixed amount that account farmers, spammers, and scammers that can abuse. It would definitely be more affordable for the real user who wants to register in BCT and it will be harder for abusers to register more accounts because they have to pay varying amounts every time they want to register. Its simply would be like an expressway with a toll that only real users could benefit from that IP address.
1522  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy takot paren sa crypto-investing? on: August 15, 2019, 06:49:34 PM
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing everyday items in SATs on: August 15, 2019, 04:29:45 PM
And how do you think posting prices in satoshi can encourage mass adoption? Because if I'm just a regular person and see prices of another currency it would easily discourage me on buying onto that store. We in the crypto industry needs to get used to it on not seeing the BTC amount of what we are buying for and the only way to get a fair estimate of what we are expected to pay in BTC. We can even use our own wallets to determine the amount in BTC so really posting the prices in satoshies would only produce a lot of confusion rather than convenience for all the parties.
1524  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-15] New IRS Warning Target Crypto Investors Who Misreported Trades on: August 15, 2019, 03:26:50 PM
However, what would the IRS say if I have bitcoin to trade to an altcoin and earn profit in bitcoin? Is that taxable?

As far as I know as long as you don't convert it to the U.S. dollar and withdraw it out from your account it wouldn't be counted as capital gains given that the money you are storing is still being actively traded. But the other methods I see from people are they always account for the fair value of the coins they are trading coin for coin to give a fair estimate of the U.S. Dollar value they will have in each trade, which I think would be more accurate when you will be reporting your capital gains for the year.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 14, 2019, 08:28:49 PM

Last year Juventus was very lucky and apparently they won the title.
They won most of the matches with 1 goal scored and most of the times this goal was lucky.

I don't think that's good luck for Juventus.
If you look at the final standings that Juventus have 90 points and 11 points from the second place. Things like that are not luck, but juventus does win more matches in Serie A.

Sometimes things are not are they like.
I don't doubt the title that Juventus won last season. I am just pointing out the fact that they won a lot of games with 1 goal.
Personally, I didn't like the way they played football last season. But this is just my personal opinion of course. It depends on the kind of football everyone likes to see.
So what? That one goal differential can make a lot of difference in football in terms of you winning the game or not and in terms of points you will accumulate after the match. The superiority of one team cannot be determined only on how many goals they have made, you should take a look at the different aspects in football to see how Juventus has dominated in Italian football. Their offense is good but so as their well balance midfield and defense. I know goals are something what fans want but true football lovers also appreciate the other things revolving around football that you just can't unsee.
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: How would loans work in a Bitcoin economy on: August 14, 2019, 07:42:59 PM
From what I know some banks are already doing this. Some banks are already lending Bitcoin to bypass the Swift transfer system which is a big wall in transferring fiat currency into another foreign money. I recall that the German bank, German Radoslav Albrecht, has created Bitbond a official online bank to transfer out loans with Bitcoin and the user has the option to payback those loans with either fiat currency or through Bitcoin again. In the future I could see the same thing being done by other banks if they tried to compete to the banks who are already doing it. The best thing about this kind of Crypto bank is they are like traditional banks in terms of their clients can also invest their own Bitcoin for interest, they in turn will be the ones who will loan out your BTC to loanees.
1527  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxes for Antminer S9 on: August 14, 2019, 04:29:12 PM
Only way to handle it now is by only paying the taxes of course. It's either settle with them with a price or outright pay the originally stated tax obligation either way you need to pay in both scenarios. You are also lucky that it's only 6% and not only that it's not like your income tax where you pay annually on a regular basis it's just one time after you have bought it. I know that these kinds of tax obligations gives you a certain time to reply and if I were you I wont let the time to run out.
1528  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your email security best practice? on: August 14, 2019, 03:39:57 PM
To add I myself also wouldn't personally log-in my email credential on just any computer I see, there is really no assurance that the computer I am using has a keylogger or any kind of tracking virus you cannot simply just trust computers that you don't own. You must avoid computers that you do not own much more if you don't have any kind of second layer protection for your emails. Because hackers would instantly have full access into your email accounts without the use of it.
1529  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TACHAIN - Fake CEO and Possibly a Fake Project on: August 14, 2019, 02:04:22 PM

Of all the people in the world they picked someone who most likely be noticed by someone.

Real Identity: Dmitry De Mitro, a Russian actor/singer working for a video production company.

When you are in upwork.com you can find some employers there who are looking for team members in the crypto projects and the position offered are CEO, COO and Marketing Head. Its certainly meant to scam. Rest assured all the members are fake.
To be honest if I didn't do a little bit digging of my own I wouldn't detect TACHAIN to be a scam project luckily we have tools such as Google and  reverse image search engines that could detect fraud in a mile away. If it weren't for Dmitry's Youtube video I would have gave up and stop search red flags from TACHAIN. Hopefully my post was not too late to warn some members here thinking TACHAIN as one of the ICO projects they will be buying.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs. Donaire WBSS Bantamweight Final on: August 13, 2019, 08:52:56 PM
You might not know boxing if you think that only Pacquiao and Donaire is the only Filipino boxers who has a championship belt under there waist.
When did I say that only Manny and Nonito have championship belts?

That's what being in the center stage mean, Because most often than not champions are the only ones being in the main card, you rarely even see a non-title fight as a main card.

There are lesser-known Filipino boxers out there and is only overshadowed by others because of the lack of support by their country but once they get the right break I know they'll be in the level of Pacquiao and Donaire.
This is what I'm talking about. We don't see other Pinoy fighters take center stage just like what Manny and Nonito does. We don't often see them being talked about.

As far as I can tell even Nonito Donaire isn't even being talk about in the boxing community, it's that hard to be really known in this sport because they often see the highly promoted ones coming from America or the ones who always take the news like Lomachenko, Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua. The main difference is even if we have skilled fighters on out country they lack the support from promotions and sponsors needed to get their names to be talked about and be in the center stage frequently. They need to fight hard to get it just like what Pacquiao did when he won upsets against several fighters in the ring. For these boxers to have the break they only need what Manny did and that is to win an upset against this fighters and be consistent on winning bouts and I can say they are one or three winning fights away to attract a high profile boxer in their division.
1531  Economy / Reputation / Re: Account recovered: Awesome31312. In defense of reputation on: August 13, 2019, 07:55:13 PM
I second what LoyceV have to said a signed message from your stake address is more reliable compared to a message coming from your email since your email was also probably affected by the hack itself. So as far as they eyes of any DT member goes you might just be another person who have bought this account who have recently changed the password and email address and is trying to remove the negative feedbacks. Give them the signed message as what Lauda said and your negative trust will be removed from him and maybe DarkStar_ will also follow.
1532  Other / Meta / Re: Why Am I only seeing "0" From this guy's post on: August 13, 2019, 06:53:58 PM
I wish b1tunl0ck3r didn't delete his recent posts.  He isn't crazy, most of what he says I believe is true.  The people pulling the strings are above the law and they do participate in all that type of shit.

I remember before he was asking how to delete his account, I think someone was after him.

So you think there is a connection on why he tried to change/edit all of his posts to "0", you got an awesome theory but I doubt deleting his account would solve anything if someone was already after him because he didn't even clean his account entirely all the zeroes end after the 62nd post. I got a feeling that he just changed his post to 0 because he is trying to clean his account from all the posts where he gained enemies with along the way. He might just be trying to reclaim some respect by doing this but what he is doing now will be viewed negatively and will just damage his reputation more.
1533  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Discussion] SEC (Draft) Rules on Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: August 13, 2019, 06:05:46 PM
Pinaka keyword dito is "self-regulatory organization (SRO)" which I think is a big win for the crypto industry here in the Philippines. Dito palang may pinapahiwatig na ang sec na gusto nila maging independent yung mga crypto-exchange na ito na kahit saklaw sya ng SEC mag-aact sila ng parang SEC on their own ways, now depending on what they mean by SRO dito natin makikita yung limits and powers ng kanya kanyang mga exchange. Ginagaya lang ng Pilipinas kung ano ginagawa ng Japan which also gave their exchanges the power of SRO. Syempre ang downside nyan is obvious naman and that is the vulerability to hacks na until now hindi pa din na-sosolve ng Japan kung paano matanggal or malessen with this kind of system.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs. Donaire WBSS Bantamweight Final on: August 12, 2019, 08:46:01 PM
Finally, another Philippine fighter taking center stage. It's been a while seeing a Filipino fight aside from Manny.

You might not know boxing if you think that only Pacquiao and Donaire is the only Filipino boxers who has a championship belt under there waist. Aside from them Donnie Nietes is also good and well-known boxer in the super fly-weight division and he is in fact the longest reigning champion of the Philippines going undefeated for 15 years in a row now. Rising stars such as Jerwin Ancajas, Jhack Tepora, and John Riel Casimero all have bouts this year all of which ended up with a win. There are lesser-known Filipino boxers out there and is only overshadowed by others because of the lack of support by their country but once they get the right break I know they'll be in the level of Pacquiao and Donaire. Speaking of Donaire here he is really looking good winning with a KO and a TKO in his last two fights I figured that he got his groove back on when he lost to Carl Frampton.
1535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every thing I touch go down (gravity rulez) on: August 12, 2019, 08:03:52 PM
We might not be talking about "gravity rulez" here or even bad luck it will most probably go down to your own trading style. If you are that kind of trader in the market where you try to catch up on the hype train or even try to buy while the price action is already on its climax then more likely than not you have bought a losing position. Entry especially in the bull market is the most important thing for you to determine if you will profit from it or not it will make or break your trade just by knowing what price you will buy your position. My advice is if you haven't bought something that is already going up and you don't have a position for it beforehand I would just avoid it entirely rather than risking my limited capital if not you can still try to enter but do have an exit strategy and prepare to cut losses when that happened.
1536  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: August 12, 2019, 07:37:46 PM
When it comes to Bitcoin's price or to any cryptocurrencies for that matter I don't think that the price would be affected that much especially when criminal activity involving the industry could also be translated to demand for it. You should remember that when Bitcoin has started being used in the Dark Web (Silk Road in particular) it's price has tripled it's value during that point and it's easy to say that somehow even criminal activity doesn't affect the industry in a bad why. Not unless the authorities will issue a complete ban for cryptocurrencies (which I highly doubt would happen) then we don't expect that it would be affected negatively. Both international and national governments mostly accepted the route of adoption and views criminal activities as a problem and not the cryptocurrencies itself so we can't expect them to have some regulation about completely banning cryptocurrencies because of it.
1537  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 8% NY state tax on resold miners on: August 12, 2019, 06:12:58 PM
Quote
Huh? What are you talking about? What did you just sell in ebay to remove your already existing tax obligation? Didn't you just sold all the miners in 2017 that's why you have a tax obligation now? You wouldn't even have local sales and compensating tax if you didn't sell anything coming from abroad. Or you are talking about some of the miners you are still selling now? If that's what you are talking about you just made your tax obligation bigger because you have sold another miner online, it doesn't really mitigate anything at all.

Hey, I guess there's a miscommunication here, so let me be explicit.

In 2017, I purchased a large number of cryptocurrency mining machines directly from Bitmain, shipped to NYC. Many of these were purchased months or weeks before I would actually receive them. They were all then received in NYC to my relative's personal home, and then shipped out to customers all around the world.

And yeah, 99% of these were sold on eBay, so I have good records of everything going on.

Does that help?

If it means anything, I do everything personally and have not incorporated, or have any official business.

Yeah, you did clarify a lot of things on your current situation and the way I understand it is you still need to pay the taxes you owe because they are valid. The way I see it is you or your family acted out as a reseller of the mining equipment after you have received it from shipping, you never used the mining rigs personally so you are in fact just reselling items that came from abroad that is why you have a local sales and compensating tax from the State of New York. Selling it all now doesn't extinguish your tax obligations because the tax itself is about you reselling the mining equipment you have. What you did now just make your tax obligation bigger because you continued on selling them after the letter.
1538  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-12] New Zealand Gives Greenlight for Cryptocurrency Income and Salary on: August 12, 2019, 05:28:49 PM
But what do they expect to benefit from accepting stablecoins if this ruling is official? Are they just only aiming to diversify their citizens' salary payment option or are they also encouraging people to trade in cryptocurrencies because of it? Since we all know that Tether is the most popular stablecoin out there we can expect that New Zealanders will be technically receiving USD rather then a kind of cryptocurrency that isn't backed by any fiat currency, this is inevitable to happen especially when salary is on the line which will always be subject to volatility both the employer and employee will be risking value when they moved out of stablecoins as a alternative salary payment.

Oh my! Chelsea just got demolished... Reality Check, Yeah right!

I'm waiting for Cryptopreneuerbrainboss's post, I want to say welcome to reality the Pre-Season is over...

It's pretty much expected to happen especially when they have a new and untested manager coaching the team, Frank Lampard might not have a great start for the season and it will be talked about and be judged for weeks especially if the upcoming games the team will show no improvement in the table. If it was still Maurizio Sarri managing this season the outcome might have been different against Man United, remember that during last season they also have a 4-0 winning game against Man United and most of their matches after that was mostly Chelsea defeating the team.
