Sometimes it does that when your connection is too slow.

We will look to see if we can nullify this error message.

It has nothing to do with a slow connection.  When getting the error I need to close the touny lobby, open it again and select take seat.
I talked to our developers and they told me that this has been fixed in the latest version.  Can you download it here and let us know what happens.

https://satoshipoker.org/SatoshiPokerSetup.exe

It is still happening.

I downloaded the newest version in a way that it no longer remembered my password and I can't find it.  I tried to reset it, put in my email but have not received anything.
Check your spam mail.

Our reset emails tend to land in that folder.

Nothing received.  I had also requested it a second time.

please, investigate player:

KURAWA

when it goes all-in or calls all-in, the cards always turn in favour, never to opponent

if it's some kind of cheater, superuser or bot - please stop it!

these coincidences are so abnormal, that it really brings this to attention!

can you do that?
Confirmed by 2nd party [me!] that Kuwara luckboxes way outta std. range...
not quite in the Potripper/UB realm,
but fucking way out there.
confirmed with me too. KURAWA never loses a hand with which she goes or calls all in, no matter what the hand is: Q7s, 42s, K9o, 83o, Q9o, J10s. This is abnormal...

So I guess if kurawa never loses a hand then kurawa wins all the tournies.  This is clearly not the case.  I beat kurawa more than kurawa beats me precisely because kurawa gets it in with the worst hand more often.  Do you guys really think the best starting hand always wins?  There is method to kurawa's madness.

Why not use a piss bottle?  Even with break times it is useful as you don't even have to wait for the break.

My krill was updated yesterday but not today.  I notice after downloading 2.14 yesterday that the krill total now has decimal capabilities.  When is this being implemented?

i believe 10% on tournies is fairly standard. also the smaller 5 buy in tournies rarely ever attached for than 6 runners so not surprising they stopped those.

in my experience satoshi poker is doing the right things to become sustainable for the long run

Nobody charges more than 10%.  As you know there are those that charge 5% for tournies.  May I suggest the title of this thread be changed and "lowest rake" be removed.

Since there is 'always' an overlay that's not really true :p but for the future it might be too high yes.

I guess the future has arrived.  So instead of them touting they have the lowest rake @ 2%, their 10% rake on tournaments is the highest in the industry.

They also took away the lower buyin tournies so if someone places in a freeroll they no longer have enough to buyin to a tourny.

Iam using w8 and have no such a problem

donk4, this isn't a general problem and we're very busy. We will get to examining it eventually, but if you are sure you extracted it and are running the extracted program in the same folder as the sound (where it would naturally be) then there is no simple fix and it may not even be our client causing the problem.

The flash client you've been using and the My Account functions are all available now.

I can appreciate you guys are bussy I have been trying to get a fix from other members but am not able to do it. I am not sure if you are saying I downloaded it wrong or you need to tweek at later time? I guess I give up then I have been trying to get it to work 4 days and am doing nothing other then frustrating myself.

donk4u, I had issues with the sound in the past after updating the client.  It depends how you extract the files but I do not remember clearly.  I believe there were 3 or 4 files but I had to extract just the largest one as it seemed the others were included in it.  I don't have windows 8.  I presently have a SWC icon/shortcut to launch the program as well as a SWC folder on my desktop.  That folder includes the SWC shortcut as well as a sound folder.  I believe if I would delete the SWC folder the client would work but there would be no sound.  I haven't updated from 2.12 to 2.13 and this happened awhile ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy.  Good luck.

I see the tournaments just went from a 2% fee to a 10% fee for most of them.

I made a deposit early Wed, and the chips have not hit my account. I'm assuming that is because of the recent issues. Any info on a time frame for chips to hit my account would be appreciated.

I made a deposit Wed about 3AM ET and it took about 5 minutes.
2557  Economy / Gambling / Re: new bitcoin poker site, earn bitcoin with playing, 100 chip FREE, FREEROLLS on: June 04, 2013, 08:01:22 AM
At 1,000,000 chips per btc the 100 free chips equals 0.12 cents

So the 1000 chip freeroll is a 1.2 cent prizepool and the 500 chip freeroll is a 0.6 cent prizepool.

For the first time I played 3 tables at the same time and the action and responsiveness on all tables slowed down considerably.  When one table closed the action on the 2 remaining tables went back to normal.
2559  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiPoker ♣ Freerolls ♣ Hourly GTDs ♣ Lowest Rake ♣ 10 BTC Bad Beat on: June 02, 2013, 04:28:47 AM
Speaking of sitting out......I am in a freeroll now with only 18 players.  I guess that is because it is a 500 chip instead of the usual 1000 chip.  What will it be going forward?  One table has 7 players with 6 sitting out while my table has 5 live players and 3 sitting out.  That one live player is accruing quite a chip stack.

The table sounds need to be changed.  What is usually a sound to alert you that it is your turn is used whenever somebody calls, checks or the pot is pushed.  There is a similar sound at a higher pitch which is the alert sound.  I kept thinking it was always my turn at first. The sound usually used for checking is used for someone folding.  The chip sound is used for bets, raises and posting blinds.  It takes a bit getting used to but when I played 2 tables it was very difficult to keep track of what was happening.  All you need to do is see how other sites do it.

I also think there should be really micro, microstakes for newbies.  Considering that even 50 chips is now basically $7.50, there is nothing like penny stakes on Seals any more.  I know a lot of people on Stars, including names you'd know, graduated out of the penny stakes there.  Bitcoin poker should have something similar.

Yes 50 chips is now $6.50 and you can buyin t0 the 0.25/0.50 for as little as 10 chips or $1.30.  The blinds are 3 cents / 6 cents.  Are those stakes really too high?
