The posts after the last one credited until you signup don't count.

1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 28, 2015, 09:06:54 PM
How much Monero was presumed lost on Mintpal?

124 896 XMR, all recovered:)

This is from the main thread.  I was lucky enough to have moved my coins off Mintpal.

Thank you fluffypony and all that were involved and good luck to those who had Moneroj stuck on Mintpal.

The poll is pretty bullish, 56.5% of people believe we are at the beginning of a bull run.

Didn't even see the new poll.

With an option of idk, how could you chose anything else?

Wait, the long lasting bull run started in Feb so the answer is no. Tongue

As it is confusing me I didn't vote.  We need a new poll!

The software is very nice Smiley  One thing very different is how the button moves when a player misses a blind in both cash games and tournaments.  For example after paying the big blind and small blind I payed the small blind a second time.  I saw someone get the BB twice.  I didn't like the forward moving button on the old software but this is much worse.  I hope this is something that can be changed.

In Cashier under Transactions it shows everytime you joined a table, added chips to that table or left a table.

Because there is no way of sorting transactions this clutters up the history so that it is difficult to see the important stuff like deposits, withdrawals, rakeback and table starter rakeback.

I understand this is minor compared to what you must be dealing with but if you could put in on the list it would be appreciated.

1546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase is now the biggest western exchange after asia... on: February 28, 2015, 04:43:22 PM
Coinbase is getting that volume while only servicing 50% of the states in the US although a larger % of the population.  This is due to the current 0% fees and perceived safety.  That perceived safety is ofc due to regulation.  Those regulations are the reason some people have been kicked off of CB.  I have been lucky that my "bad" transactions happened significantly before they instituted their restrictions and I am able to use CB although I have not signed up with their exchange.

What do people think of using CB considering the regulations they abide by?

1547  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Gavin, Andreas Antonopolous, Charlie Lee, etc at MIT Bitcoin Expo 03/07-08/15 on: February 28, 2015, 03:55:35 PM
I will pass this info on to somebody I know who is going to MIT.  They know of btc but are not involved in any way.

Looks interesting but I have to work.

Why do you only take credit cards and not btc Huh
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 28, 2015, 12:00:44 PM
There was just an approximately 35 btc market buy on Polo up to 172 Shocked
1549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BIT-X Signature Campaign Final Opening for Feedback on: February 27, 2015, 08:28:31 PM
It was not mentioned in the OP but in the main thread it was mentioned that posts in the alt section would not be counted.

I am active in one alt coin so it would affect me.  If those posts are not to be counted please consider changing that rule.

Remember the only way to currently buy altcoins is to first purchase btc. and the main way to purchase btc is on an exchange Smiley

pretty sloppy to not have HTTPS enabled here.  hashes of builds, etc.

sloppy on security is the last thing i want to see in an unregulated bitcoin poker site.

someone was repsonsible for security, and they quit.  maybe i'm in the minority, but i'm skeptical of micon et al to be able to live upto the same standards.

Regulation?  LOL

I lost $ on a regulated site and was very luck to get to get my $ from another.

There are many regulated sites where people lost $ when the site closed with no warning and in every case the regulator said there was nothing they could do.

TY MICON

Wait, didn't Full Tilt start refunding the money last year ? or that never happened ?

Yes Poker Stars refunded my money that Full Tilt stole.  That was the one I was lucky to get.  Poker Stars did that because it enabled them to get out of the trouble they were in with the US.  That was the only way I was getting it back.

Full tilt wasn't the only one just the biggest.  I lost money on another regulated site.  Again there have been many regulated sites over the years that closed without paying the players and the only thing the regulators did was shrug their shoulders.

My, nerves are badly exposed here.

I though that it was people buying that made price to go up.  Sorry for the stupidity.  What is the real cause? the Mystic Vital Force of the Triangular Fibonacci Retracements, or whatever?

The giveout was only 10'000 BTC total and spread out in time.  This jump was too sharp to be that.

Could it be Gavin's tweet?  It seems that many people read it as some breaktrough that would boost the block rate 60x and/or solve the problems of 20 MB blocks.

I was yanking your chain Jorge...

However I do believe all of the people on my list , are well how can I put this....... people?

I never said people do not buy now did I Jorge?

It could have been Kimmy, or, it could have been one of the other 7 billion people on the planet.... just maybe but do not quote me on that.

(edit- Jorge, it could have been someone that really wanted 50K of bitcoins, and has been waiting for a moment to buy, and has decided for various reasons, this was the moment he/she/they were waiting for, and so they bought, it may even happen again)

I guess they don't care that 50K is up for auction soon.

And here I thought I didn't need to be checking prices this week.  I don't have alarms set Grin

I want to move from the original site to this one, but got ominous warning when trying to download desktop client. Sure it is nothing, but I am no IT expert. Can someone tell me why IE gives a warning when downloading desktop client?

This is the thread for the original site.  The thread for the new site is.............

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962440.0

As far as that warning, I just ignored it.  I don't know why it comes up but it could get flagged for minor stuff such as out of date certs.  I trust it isn't anything of significance, Micon wouldn't do that.  I played last night and I think you will enjoy the new client.
1554  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 Coming Soon on: February 27, 2015, 12:17:03 AM
Downloaded and reset account/password.  email with code came instantly and I have my krill.  Just initiated a deposit but it is coming from Poloniex exchange so I don't know when it will be there but it shouldn't be long Smiley

Will it be launching this week , or will it only be a demo for now ?

Micon just posted that they are launching tomorrow afternoon Antigua time.  Looks like real money and freerolls.
On my first day off from work Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin Cool

Except he posted that yesterday so they should be launching today.

Time for a sick day imo    Grin

Except he posted that although he could open up today he thought it would be better to do so tomorrow as the team will be rested and could better handle anything that might arise. Wink

I hate using sick days when I'm sick.  Lucky for me I don't get sick days  Tongue

lol you are reading the date and time wrong, he posted that yesterday, they should be opening up today.

He posted on 2/25
Ok boys.  Helluva a few weeks there.

We are ready tomorrow.  Bitcoin Poker 2.0 will likely start 2/26/2015 in the late afternoon local Antigua time.

I was tempted to release a client tonight and start resetting accounts and running freerolls but we're going to wait until the team is fresh tomorrow and then blast your faces.

and said it would start today 2/26 in the afternoon antigua time.

I also misread my hands Grin Grin

And they almost sent me home early today, damn Sad

There is now a 30k bid at a very reasonable price of 0.0014.

If it does not get hit, it is hard to deny that the uptrend has started, don't you think so?

Great coin. Nothing more than manipulating the price. So, what if you stop your pump machine for a month or two, and take back all your buy orders? What the price would be? 0.0005 or 0.0001?
Is it really interesting to invest in coin , where everything is decided by one man?

I am one man!
