Now there is a 0.501 bot buying about every 20 seconds on Bitstamp. I'm assuming the purchaser swapped exchanges due to the price difference.

Edit: Nevermind, it was just turned off Tongue

0.501 buying bot is re-activated on bitstamp. I think I remember a bot that did something very similiar a few months ago too, but not sure if it was during the last mini-bubble post-november 2013.

The 0.0501 bot is both buying and selling the same amount for almost no price difference with the buys higher than the sells for the little bit I looked at Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

And monerochain is displaying what exactly? Old BTC blocks and recent transactions?  Huh

Hmm... that's kind of messed up. The original site was monerochain.info, but it's been down for quite a while now.

BEWARE!!  I'm using chrome and I get a warning from that link and it doesn't want to connect me to that site.

Marketing actions will start, after Monero has its fundamentals fully developed & tested (Database, GUI Wallet, stable RPC API, ...) and the coin/software is really ready to use.
Which will be in around 6 months, if no bigger development problems or delays come up.

Don't worry about marketing or things like corporate communication, public relations work, CRM-efforts and related tasks/functions.
They will be managed and operated as perfect as possible.
Moneros marketing will be managed with long-time proven & successfull marketing key concepts & techniques. There will be an (reviewed) marketing strategy [1] based on research and analysen, to serve as the fundamental underpinning of the to be created marketing plan and the instruments used in the marketing mix [3].

[1] = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_strategy
[2] = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_plan
[3] = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_mix

And as nobody is perfect, the marketing team will be open for feedback and suggestions from the community, the targeted audiences or extern experts.
If everybody works hard, we all collaborate and share as many ressources and informations possible: Monero will get best possible marketing and as experience has shown significant outperform all competing projects.

Since you are aiming for perfection the correct word is perfectly Smiley

As you gave a quite detailed and authoritative response, are you on the Monero team, marketing or otherwise?

Actually the reason I didn't remember is that I'm going senile.  Come play with me on Seals Cheesy

@saddambitcoin:

If you still need the info and in case you're a Windows user:

You might find a Hyperstake.conf file in C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\HyperStake.
If the file does not exist, you can create one (just use notepad or whatever, it's just a text file, but with .conf extension).

Then add/create this one entry on Hyperstake.conf:
Code:
maxconnections=20
(obviously, change 20 to whatever maximum of connections you want the wallet to have)

I would advise you not to have any less than 20 connections. A very small number of connections, is almost certain to earn you a high rate of stake orphanage, as you would be broadcasting your stakes to a 'smaller audience', so to speak.

If you're on Linux or what-else-not-Windows, good luck  Grin
Happy Staking!

Thanks. Question: do I have to have my node connected while I wait the 8.8 days for my HYP to mature?

No. Smiley

When it does mature or is about to, make sure you unlock your wallet.  Tools>Unlock Wallet for PoS...

If you hover over the thing just to the left of the one that tells you how many connections you have it will say "Minting" and give you your weight, network weight and estimated next stake.  The estimated stake time doesn't hold much weight Grin Grin

Which way do we expect the price to swing over the next week or two?

We've gone sideways for a few weeks (give & take 10-20 dollars or so).

I'll take a few weeks to mean November.  On Stamp the low was 316 and the high 453.  I guess in bitcoinland that is sideways.  Well we are smack dab in the middle of that range.

As for the next week or two my answer is always the same.  IHNFC

it just means you have a gambling problem.

Would you mind telling us how many times you have been short(long) squeezed in the last months? I remember at least 6-7 times Cheesy. Havenīt you gone full short yesterday @~37x$ before we went upt to 390$ on Finex. And havenīt you said BTC is done(fucking dead, dead as a doornail..) for the 50th time this year but changed your mind today(again) before we broke down through 380$ that BTC might reach new highs in the next months? I remember when you also went full short when LTC hit itīs lowest point this year just before it almost doubled up to 5-6$. I donīt know anyone in here who has been deadly wrong so many times like you did. You should probably think twice before you accuse an "average down + holder"(even if itīs JayJuanGee  Wink ) of gambling.  Cheesy

No personal offense, but to hear this from your mouth is beyond ridiculous.

PS: Donīt forget to go full short again if we should go near 365-370$  .
You should use OKcoin.com, they offer 20x leverage !  Cheesy

How do you define a squeeze? Margin called? Never. Lost a bit... small amounts here and there, one play that actually did cost me a fair amount, but I'm overall up on the past few months by about 10%. Yes, I am a gambler! At least I don't try to call it an "investment strategy." It's f---ing gambling.

I don' t consider my strategy to be gambling, but surely some people may define it as such.  Yet, we need NOT get into semantics to realize that attempted traders (such as you Newbie) are engaging a much more closer proximation of gambling than buyers and holders and dollar cost averagers, such as myself.

Sure there is a gambling component to long term investing, but it would be a bit further of a distraction if we attempt to argue further down those lines of thinking.

What you are doing is referred to as the Martingale betting system/gambling system. Wikipedia even calls what you are doing gambling. Further, your gambling is riskier than my gambling. If I lose, I walk away and smack myself in the back of the head for being a goof. You... you lose big (doubling down on doubling down on doubling down... etc.).

However, I agree perfectly that what I am doing is gambling. I do not try to dress that up. You, on the other hand, are in denial. You call it an "investment strategy."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale_(betting_system)

P.S. -- Please tell me when you make your next big investment so that I'll know the market has reached a proximate top and I can enter a short.

Again,you seem to be oversimplifying and diverting.  I know about Martingale, and I am NOT engaged in such tactics.  sorry to burst your stupid ass theory.. but clearly, you do NOT know what the fuck you are talking about half the time.. and you already admitted several times that your recent goal in this thread is to troll.. so fuck off. .

You stated that you have repeatedly doubled down from $1200 and then, starting again, in late May-early July when you had a cash influx (right at the proximate high). So, not only are you engaged in the Martingale... you're doing it really badly.

I said that I invested from November to May, and then in May and June I doubled down what I had invested up to that point.  I did NOT say that I repeatedly doubled down, but I did double down during that May to June 2014 period.  I know you do NOT really want to read what I wrote, b/c then you would have to think and maybe even the facts may interfere with your theories (if you can call them that).   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Tongue Tongue

In other words, I am NOT following Martingale, even though some things that I did may appear to you gambler diluted mind as if it were Martingale.

(1) If that was truly the case then your number would be different;
(2) We read your posts months ago when you were harassing and mocking people for not buying on the dip to $600, $500, $400... and you said that you were doubling up in a few of those conversations, too.

I guess!!!

At least it sounds like I am consistent...

I may have mocked a few, but probably mostly mmitech.   And, I mostly mocked him for his inadequate expression of what he was doing rather than what he did.

Everyone makes their own conclusions about how to invest, and you have been easy to mock as well newbie, because you tend to post very stupid shit and to come up with very inadequate and insubstantial theories based on pie in the sky views of reality.

You get carried away (coming from a guy who, himself, gets carried away... obviously). You're pushy, rude, and you stifle actual legitimate queries fairly often through accusations. Obviously, there are a lot of trolls. But, even when somebody isn't a troll and they have a counter position, you mock them and/or bully them. Just figured I'd serve it back for a change.

Does it mean that we are making up and calling a truce for now, or you wanna continue with this crazy back and forth illogic?

What I meant was that nobody is better than Seals for rake.  Rake was the topic of discussion so there was assumption.  And yes for btc poker there is no comparison.

Some of us can't play on Stars Sad
1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: November 29, 2014, 04:13:48 PM
what is the rake of sealswithclubs?

I think its 4%, might be wrong. The site seems to be down for server maintenance right now. Too bad, I wanted to play poker right now. How long do these server dows last for?

NO.  For cash games the rake is 2.5%.  Also the rake cap, at least for NL and PL as I don't play FL, is 3x the BB 0.5 chips min.  So for the smaller games the cap is smaller than other sites.  For tournaments it is 5% vs most sites 10%.  There is nobody better than Seals.

NO need to guess.  The rake info is on their site!!!!!

Hmmm Jayjuanmagee sure does post a lot, he must have a lot of great comments to contribute to this thread. I wouldn't actually know because I muted him long ago due to his constant spam, so I haven't got a clue who he is talking to. Maybe to himself? That would make sense, considering he has four constitutive posts on just this page alone. Who are you replying to jayjuanmagee?

Oh wait, I do NOT care, I can NOT hear you. Because you're muted.

Lalalala

But seriously, maybe you should calm down and consolidate your thoughts into a single post instead of this constant barrage every day all day. I suspect the quality of your posts would increase, more people would take you seriously, and fewer people would keep you muted.

He was talking to me.  He said I was a fucking clueless idiot and he is right.

I'll now go back to waiting for squirrels.

setstakesplitthreshold 3200

That is the correct way.  No = or <> needed

However if you want the block to split when it reaches 3200 you need to set the value at 1600.  The number you use is the minimum value you want a block to be after it splits.  What you have chosen, 3200, will result in the block not splitting until it reaches 6400.

If pumping means "artificially inflating the price," does "artificially pumped" mean doing it naturally?

True that! I'll spread some Moneroj gifts this Christmas using the web wallet. Great timing.

I will be doing this for one person as it will be a perfect way of introducing them to Monero.  They will not go, WTF is this?  Instead they will understand and appreciate it.

F. hmmm
2.1 That's exactly what I meant. two points (pm me your address so I can send you some love for that. I literally laughed out loud.)
3. ok. and a huge shoutout to zeewolf for the theme code! w00t w00t
4. ok
5. thanks
6. Freenode has a browser based client here. You could just use it this one time and we wont tell anyone. I swear. It's also a million times better to try and troubleshoot what's going on if someone can talk to you in real time as opposed to 'snail mail' ing it through this forum. Just sayin.
7. Don't thank me yet, I have no clue why you are getting so many orphans. I was banking on you rar'ing the internet with the client staking or something of that nature.
8. Shot in the dark, what is your CPU usage when and when you do not have mature coins?
9. What is the speed of your internet?
10. How many connections do you have?
11. Can you upload your debug.log? In win7 it should be in C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\HyperStake

54. To anyone who can answer, would getstaketx show anything on an orphan? I dont have any in my history to check right now.
55. What the shit would cause that many orphans?

If you send in your debug log, do it to one of us over PM, unless you want all of bct knowing your ip address.  My guess is that you have a slow internet connection.

As far as 8. I have not gotten one orphan and my comp is on 24/7 with the CPU always at 98% as I'm using all 2 cores Embarrassed to mine Monero/XMR.

Itīs the complete 1d XMR/BTC chart from poloniex, it starts somewhere in early July, there ainīt anymore available data on bitcoinwisdom.com. Dat "upswing" that happened is already included in the graph.  Smiley

Other than no dates you are correct, my apologies.

My original comment still stands.
