Smiley

dreamspark, I have always found your posts to have no BS and great insight.  Because of that, your postings in the btc speculation thread convinced me that Monero was legitimate.  The devs and the community keep proving it to be so.

Thank you dreamspark Smiley

A lot of people had hoped this rally would coincide with a missive that contained software updates making monero more usable, but it did not.

I was surprised a missive was coming out as I knew from following the discussion as well as the github that software updates were not imminent.  What we got was an updated website which is something we have been looking for.

The price had already started to rise from 0.001 to ~ 0.00118 before both the Missive and Risto's announcements.

I made a small purchase only because I like round numbers (excuses excuses) and traded a small amount for a small positive outcome.
1563  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 25, 2015, 09:49:17 AM

1564  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 Coming Soon on: February 25, 2015, 12:13:35 AM
The following is from the SwCpoker.eu webpage.....

It’s Coming Soon
It’s not ready quite yet but fuck it’s getting close
You will need a “reset code” which you will find in the PC Client
Said “reset code” will email you a number, ship it along to the PC Client
Which will be available for download soon
But not quite yet!
I know, I know, we all want it back ASAP
But that may even be a deeper, psychological issue.  Maybe we all just need to slow down, take it a bit slower, like island time.  Fuck it, count out the change for a few minutes.  Write a check for some simple shit like groceries. Just burn a few extra minutes here and there, basically always slowroll.
Ok so this page will totally change once we drop it.

I see that SwC is using a seal in their logo.  Makes me feel good Smiley

I have fresh btc now and hope they will be up and running when I'm off from work on Fri.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 24, 2015, 12:59:57 PM
So what's the goal for the latest price rise?

Don't know and don't care as my speculation is almost entirely long term.  When I trade it's on the variations of the down swings so if I can't sell what I bought I end up with more Monero😀😀😀 Smiley

Thanks presstab. from Your opinion 6000 or 8000 block size is better than 4000?

I would say go with 4k, but it could take 15 days or so. Depends on what you want to get out of it. 4k blocks give a 0.25% return (assuming 1k reward). And 8k block would be 0.125%. Depends on what your preference is.

I'm not at My HYP comp but as I remember it, at the present avg diff 4k blocks show about 20-25 days to stake.  Although my blocks seem to stake faster than what is estimated in coin control.  My blocks are currently 6-8k

Is there a GUI for multisend or have to set this in RPC?  Was looking for s4c, I expect that doesnt work anymore?

all you had to do was look back 1 or 2 page

It's an RPC for now in the console and GUI in the future.

Link to wiki for multisend.............

The following is from my brief online search.

Antigua and Barbuda population is 81,000 and was part of the British empire.  Almost the entire population is on Antigua itself with 31,000 in the capital city of Saint John's.

1 Bitcoin equals 664.25 East Caribbean Dollars

Antigua and Barbuda has a total of 13 poker tables spread across 3 poker rooms.

King's Casino poker room at Saint John’s has a total of 7 poker tables

Grand Princess Casino poker room at Jolly Harbor has a total of 4 poker tables

Casino Riviera at Runaway Bay must have  the other 2 tables but the casino is "temporarily" closed.

Hi

I have a problem with my Moneroclient.net newest version.

It will not shutting down, since an half hour its in the Taskmanager and use 2gb memory (bitmonero.exe its called)

Sry for ma bad english

If it is on the notebook you described with 4GB memory it will take over an hour to shut down.  I know as I have 4GB.  With 8GB shutting down is not an issue.  As I understand it this will not be an issue once the new DB is released.
1573  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: February 21, 2015, 06:12:25 PM
Signature fixed, it's only a couple spaces less...

Mine looks like that only because I am using 150% zoom because I sit far away from my monitor.  Chrome 1280x1024 res.  At 125% zoom it displays properly.  No issues with SM & FM sigs.

What do I do with my Seals With Clubs hat?

I always thought that SealsWithClubs was the greatest name ever.

What does the SwC in SwCpoker stand for?

Because if he is going to be subject to price swings he wants bigger exposure Huh

@pippo

DRK is a testcoin for XMR ;-) lol

Is there a List in which Shop´s i can buy with Monero?
At the Moment XMR is the best investment!

There isn't much right now where XMR is taken directly.  The devs are working to make it easier for merchants to use.

Just this week XMR.TO was introduced that lets you use XMR anywhere they accept btc so that your payments are anonymous, just as if you used Monero directly.

And they only serve 25 of the 50 US states although I imagine it is significantly greater than 50% of the population.

And yet, (see ChartBuddy above) Their book remains relatively flat.  Still, not bad for what, a month?

Do they still have 0 fees

Till the end of Feb.

I thought it was very fair and it held the attention of some not technical people who watched it with me.

He hit the advantages and the issue that not many people take it.  However, the business owner that said he had 10 to 15% credit card chargebacks was amazing.  I would never have expected it to be that high and that is a real advantage of bitcoin.

That 10-15% has to be BS.  The CC companies would suspend services to a business with that record.

In the beginning they repeat the myth that btc is anonymous. Later they say like cash it is untraceable and did that right before they covered the SR bust Huh.  Analysis of the blockchain is becoming ever more effective and any improvements in that area can be used retroactively.
