got update from bitmain, they ship the miner to me today. however, the miner can only hash at 4.66T in average so they refund me 65$ for each unit = 22.4 days host fee so all customer who order this batch of s7 will get 23 days free host fee,
It has been a while since I mined with you please let me know how to put in a pool for mining. Instructions at the top of this page. It's on option on the website.

Mr. Lee - I think I will be on board with this. Just need a few more days to mine the cost of one.

I am not a developer, but I am told by reliable sources that Core uses, or it's proposed to have very similar spam and prioritization coding. I think some kind of protection will be a necessary evil. Of course you can run your own without it if you choose.

I see people asking about coupons. Don't hold your breath. It's a new product and the first batch went quick. Bitmain does not need to offer coupons until/if sales slow.

Do they ever mention what the hashrate will be? Or, just the power consumption per Th/s as 230 watts?
I may be stretching, but a 2.4+ Th/s machine for <$700 SHIPPED would be amazing.
very first page says how much per TH .. of his thread. That release date reminds me of a MS release or game release . lol At the wall power consumption AntMiner S7 230W/TH were all guessing on the a mount of speed it ships with . why not 340 to 400, S3 and S5 were amazing to and priced right . If anyone noticed they left out the S2 and S4 and S5 + on the front page which make is even more positive for everyone . but I'm hopping I know it shows how much per Th/s, but not how many Th/s . My hope is that it is over a 2 Th/s machine with those efficiencies. They leave out the S2 bc it uses the same chip as the S1 (BM1380), S4 uses the same as the S3+ (BM1382), and S5+ uses the same as the S5 (BM1384). Can we assume this miner will generate half the amount of heat as an S5 if were to have the same number of EDIT chips Th/s?

New manufacturers tend to cater to the community and talk a good game until they have a fully operational magic money machine in their hand. Then their priorities suddenly change. Bitmain is the only company that has stuck around for the little guy. Even that relationship is tenuous though.

meono is a cunt.
do not listen to a single word of his poisonous speech. just look at his signature.
i even wonder if he is a NSA/CIA/whatever troll paid to spill his venom amongst the real and free bitcoin community.
You obviously did not read his speech because you just confirmed it with your helpful wisdom.

You're thinking of a mob, I said crowd. Augur is going to make millions off the crowd.
I'm going to assume that you've never had any sociology classes? The wisdom of a crowd is biased and it is much easier to manipulate. They are a lot of ways for one to manipulate a crowd to agree with a controversial idea, thus we should not rely on the crowd's 'wisdom' to pick the right way forward (Core or XT as an example, in this scenario). Crowd manipulation is often used in politics and business. Here's a example of a technique: To get a crowd to agree to a controversial idea (e.g. blacklisting), you first start talking about things that the crowd agrees with or believes in. This way you are starting to build up trust, and then you can proceed to start talking about the more disagreeable stuff. There was actually a good study about this not long ago.
So back to the topic now. Obviously many have appealed to authority in this debate, which is wrong. Just because someone has a strong position or reputation, that doesn't necessarily mean that what they are preaching is probably correct. The argument from authority is not a logical argument. The problem is that people are not seeing the obvious and are being manipulated. XT has implemented a few other things that they present as "features" and people are buying it. I'm pretty sure that Hearn would be able to sell you blacklisting in the future if XT was to take off (which is problematic). This is why it is necessary to try and have a healthy discussion and keep the ad hominem and similar nonsense aside, else we will not be moving forward. Maybe crowd is the wrong word. Voters, Node-owners, active bitcoiners, whatever term you want to use, are going to make an informed or uninformed decision whether to switch or not. I have faith that the majority will decide in the best interest of bitcoin. Are you saying that the decision will be based on flawed logic regardless, because crowds are manipulated? If so, then bitcoin is doomed anyway. Because that is the protocol's tie-breaker.

No kiddin. Wisdom of the crowd?! Gimme just one example of how wise people are when gathered as a crowd. Hooligans? Retards. Voting in our modern alleged democracy? Lol. So much Wisdom. There is no crowd. Only sheeples. You're thinking of a mob, I said crowd. Augur is going to make millions off the crowd.

So much emotion over ones and zeros. Satoshi was/is brilliant in his design. EVERY change is up for a vote. Vote by running a node and choosing your client. I firmly believe in the wisdom of the crowd.
In 9 months- If XT is meant to be, it will be. If Core is the way, it will stay. And the FUD on both sides will be as irrelevant as usb miners.

Can I get my question answered from the previous thread:
What is the daily maintenance and/or electricity fee? I don't see any mention of it, unless I missed it.
Sure thing - there are no maintenance fees, power fees, or any other fees of this type. One unit, priced at $0.55 will pay out the equivalent of 1GH of hashing power for one full year; no other fees or charges. OK - so just to clarify, no pool fees or any other deductions from the mining revenue. You buy 1000 Gh at $550 and you get 1000 Gh worth of mined btc once per week for 52 weeks (+/-5%).

Don't message me about price, delay or anything, but here is something that may be available sometime in august: Can I pm you for specs? would love to know what the gear can do. It's not fully working yet. Because it's BGA (you can't unsolder them and use them again), new chips are needed for more testing on another board. They should be delivered on monday. It'll be on the high side of the specs for LTC (max hashrate) and low side for BTC (best efficiency). thanks for the update Yes, appreciated and interested.

I feel a bit betrayed... they took the money in preorders and grew on the backs of the small miners now that they are at other level, they say: adios! ....
betrayed? Did they deliver the product you paid for and correct for any gap in performance with refunds? Sounds like they did exactly what they said they would do.. As with any business they will do what they believe is necessary to maximize return for their investors. You can't expect a business to make emotional decisions. If btc was worth more another group would come in and take their place in the retail market. But right now I don't think it's worth it for a new mining company to focus on retail.
