2721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CEX] Catena X (Catenax.org) | Bridging Blockchains! on: November 11, 2021, 11:05:35 PM
ANNOUNCEMENT: After consultation with leading Catena X ($CEX) community members and internal discussions, the Catena X team has made a decision to deploy Catena X on the Solana (SOL) blockchain . The deployment will be made on November 30th. Information and instruction on how to receive your 1:1 tokens will be shared on November 28th. Distribution will begin mid-December through the second week of January.
-
The Ethereum deployment will be postponed until the end of Q1 2022. This is due to the congestion and very high fees the Ethereum blockchain is seeing.
I believe that is a smart decision for now. And we will see how will SOL will contribute to your success here.
SOL is starting to attracting attention from developers but I don't really know projects that are very popular from this network.
ETH network right now, is still expensive for small traders. But maybe, once they address this gas fee problem, the project can start deploying on eth.

2722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 11, 2021, 10:01:37 PM

It's more on business than pride. I'm sure that Lopez would just fight whenever there's huge money involved. Most boxers focus on earnings than creating a name because some of them consider this field as a business and not a profession to pursue. However, I'm still hoping that they could make this match more exciting.

Yeah! more likely it's all about the money in the end just like when Casimero asked if he was willing to fight Inoue without any payment, he answered: "that cannot happen, money should be there of course". Most of the boxers just make it more exciting when they trash talk each other before the fight to sell as much pay per view. This is how the true nature of boxing where real cares are on the payment they could get on the fight, that's why we always see a long negotiation when huge money is on the table.

Of course it's business now, and this is 'professional prize fighting', it's their job to make money out of it. And if they can extend it to get more through trash talking for more attraction in PPV then they will do it. Only in the Olympic boxing wherein you will see the pride of a certain boxer. But in pro-fights, it's all for the money baby as Floyd said.

Not only boxers are after for the money that they can get from the fight but their respective promoters as well.
Actually, the promoters are the reason why a certain fight can push thru.
It depends on how they see the fight, if it can sell or not, that's why they turned down some possible  good matches.
At the end of the day, it depends on the promoter if they will accept the fight or not.
And once the promoter accepted their fight, it is now their boxer's turn to promote the match, whether resorting to trash talk or not.
2723  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 10, 2021, 11:59:24 PM
Just found out from reading up old posts that FUN's pretty big. Marketcap wise for sure and with all the things coming in store, also some big things to look forward to. Everything on that is the ATH for crypto market cap, so I'm feeling pretty good with my FUN locked in for a year (hope I don't miss out when it ATHs after that hehe).

Worse case scenario, I already wagered for almost half of the value I spent, and will continue to do so. So I break even, and still get all those pretty WOF spins!

You can also add more fun tokens by redeeming your RP in free tokens/roll bonus.
Because that's a very nice addition to your fun token as you have locked tokens already.
The addition of Fun token bonus and WOF bonus are very nice addition from freebitco.
I guess, a lot are availing this now. Let your Fun token sit while you wait the increase of its price.
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Shiba INU tokens continue to rise? on: November 10, 2021, 11:38:35 PM
No.

And what is ridiculous is that this has been getting more media coverage than bitcoin recently.

SHIB has no long term future, nor does Dogecoin, no matter how you look at it. They don't have utility and the value right now is purely derived from the hype element which will likely fade away as the bull market comes to an end.
Some people is aware of the hype circling around it but its not really bad to take advantage on such condition because you could really actually make profits if you do know on how to ride with the waves and not totally opposing it but you should really be careful.

When it comes to real use case or utility then its true that i dont really see something revolutionary which you could really say
that this is driven only with hype.

So better to be wary on each actions you do make.

If you are lucky how to get in and out, you can really make good profits out of it.
But if you say, you will hold it for long term, I don't think that's a very good idea.
With no solid use case, I don't think this can survive long term.
If you will get involved with this token, better sell out while you are in positive profit.
2725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can BNB rise to950? on: November 10, 2021, 10:52:46 PM
Can BNB rise to950?
REF is 690

Of course, it will. There is no doubt. The current price of BNB is $661 and the all-time high price was 690. If Binance coin can able to cross this ATH price, $1k per BNB is very welcome. It's my bad luck that I don't have any BNB. But I am doing regular trade with this coin.

Binance is the world's largest crypto currencies exchange based on daily trading volume. BNB is the utility coin of this exchange. There is a huge demand for this coin. Especially when you are paying fees with BNB, You get a huge discount. If you want to join IEO that is held by Binance Exchange you need to hold BNB. Changpeng Zhao is the founder and CEO of Binance, he is regularly burning BNB coin and its making more demand for this coin. Technically and fundamentally this coin is very bullish right now. Will buy some if I get a clear breakout of the previous ATH.

This is the advantage of BNB over other alts.
Though it is centralized coin as some others don't like it, and yet, they are still growing every day.
The credibility of the binance exchange makes it to be the top crypto-exchange, maybe, this is the reason why people trust this coin.
So rising to $950 or $1k, in my opinion, is very possible. It may only take few months before we see that price level.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Blockchain, Platform, Ecosystem will be the Most Competitive for Eth 2.0? on: November 09, 2021, 11:12:54 PM
We should be comparing all these different chains once they are all live and preferably with hundred thousand on chain transactions. Eth 2.0 is privately tested by the Devs and maybe a small group but it's all theory as far as regular users like me is concerned.

Okay is there a site comparing Solana to other blockchains? Like a comparison table.
You probably cannot find a comprehensive table but I've seen some websites who claims they are the better chain with basic comparisons.

Hard to compare if some of them are just starting to attract projects.
Because you can only test the credibility of the chain once they are really doing tons of work.
So right now, even if there are comparison tables that you will encounter, for me, it is not valid.
You can only prove that they can deliver once their network is also congested and if they will not fail.
2727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Talan is a public, decentralized and permissionless Blockchain network! on: November 09, 2021, 10:42:03 PM
There are only 2 members in the team as posted on their site - the founder and co-founder.
@OP, can you also publish their profile references since you already published their corresponding photos.
Also, what is the main mission of this project? Who do you think is your nearest competitor here?
2728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money while gaming on: November 09, 2021, 09:13:22 PM
~
This has been going for quite some time now, especially now that we are talking about NFTs. Axie already took the trend of these NFT games, and I am not sure when will such hype calm down. I already read that news, but I am not expecting too much from Ubisoft considering that they do not even listen to their community when it comes to their eSport games that are still quite popular like Siege and Extraction.
Whatever they put in the table, they should fix their previous damn games.
This means that there are still many things they have to develop for now, so that the game can really be played, especially for those who play games to make money, I agree with the game you mentioned is still in such a big hype, there is no guarantee whatsoever for games like that, the trend that NFT is taking at the moment is too much hype starting to grow, and we also don't know where they will be in the future.

The gaming industry is so big that gamers like OP will continue to patronize this kind of P2E gaming platforms.
It is a trend these days, NFT-based games but I believe, this is not only hype as there are really gamers who are willing to spend money just to play.
Remember, even before these P2E games, a lot of gamers around the world are already spending a lot of money just to play.
And now, that they have the chance to earn while playing, I guess, this will be a good reason for them to sustain the P2E gaming industry.
2729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: BITKEEP WALLET PRO | ANN THREAD | on: November 08, 2021, 09:59:36 PM
Does bitkeep have any relationship with bitget, I read that bitget is the parents company of Bitkeep, but I can't find this information on bitget website

Bitget is the parental company of Bitkeep
Quote from: Pictureme
link=topic=5368786.msg58379827#msg58379827 date=1636391504
I like your wallet, the UI is top notch, but my concern is how secure Bitkeep wallet is compare to other current existing wallet's

Bitkeep is.a secured 🔐 decentralized wallet, you're in total control of your assets

Why is it that I am only hearing this decentralized wallet? Even from previous suggestions before, bitkeep never came out into discussion.
But anyway, are you their official rep in this forum? That if in case a user installed the app and use, you can assist them in case they need something?
They are active in addressing the reviews on their google play, so I am seeing that as positive factor from this app.
But one review that I've read was unreasonable fees, but maybe for selected pairs as it depends on the token they are talking here.
2730  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do spectators now know better? on: November 08, 2021, 09:25:56 PM
-Is there a possibility that spectators of a sport like you and i with no professional training can develop a better understanding of a sport than some professional coaches of some teams?

It is my experience that most athletic, fitness and sports coaches are not good at what they do.

They're usually people who might know some of the basics and have some background in the sport they coach. For them coaching is a 9 to 5 job where they do nothing to expand, update or improve their knowledge base. They continue to use the same basic knowledge they were taught which will often be outdated or obsolete.

As a result, there are fans who are more credible and informed than coaches. Simply due to fans being bigger students of the game and being more up to date. This is a very common theme. Even at the highest levels of coaching in sports, there is a significant proportion of the population that does not belong there and does not legitimately deserve their position.

Coaches are there for reasons audience can't take part of.
However, in some cases, there are really knowledgeable spectators and they can see what the coaches can't see.
It is like outside perspective and I guess, it is not new. This is why some sportsbettors who are really very familiar with the sports can make a lot of money.
Remember, there are some sportsbettors who can really make this as a living. Because if you are really good at it, your winning chances are high.
So if you feel you are better than coaches, why not use it to your advantage? Sportsbetting may give you a lucrative hobby.
2731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What project can replicate Solana's success? on: November 08, 2021, 08:05:11 PM
If study Solana, then I can highlight the following factors that influenced its success:
1. Fundamental project
2. Strongest venture funds
3. Strong community
Based on this, several projects can be distinguished that have the same factors: NEAR Protocol, Avalanche, Cosmos, Elrond, (also can add Polkadot and Cardano, but these projects are already in the top10)
The 3 points you listed are essential, but there are also others. Sometimes all it takes is pure luck or good publicity and marketing. SOL rose very fast very high. This also means that a completely new project could do something similar in a very short period of time under the right circumstances. It is impossible to predict. Invest in different small projects that you find convincing and hope for the best, but apart from that you can't do more

And the OP is saying that SOL should be in the top 3, meaning it will surpass BNB.
Which I think, is still far from happening because the scope of BNB is quite wide as of now.
And consider that it is backed by the top 1 cryptocurrency exchange as of this moment.
So surpassing BNB would be a challenge and would take so much progress from SOL's end.
But it is possible, one major factor can influence is the number of projects created under SOL network.
If we will see devs and users going to SOL and not BSC or ETH, then, there's high chance it can surpass BNB.
2732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOYO - Automated Reward and Liquidity - BSC on: November 08, 2021, 07:16:45 PM
What is the meaning of your logo? Because it's really unpleasant to see it for me. It doesn't look atractively.

Also I was trying to visit your site, but I couldn't. Maybe something wrong with your website. Check it.

The logo we wanted something that looks good in a 32x32 format because that is what most wallets/sites show etc. The design we chose is meant to be fun so it incorporates a smiley face with it's tongue out - the main logo is also used as the O's in YOYO. I appreciate the feedback  and honesty - you are the first one to say it was unpleasant. Most community members have said they like it but if I get more negative opinions on it we are always open to changes in the future!

I just checked the website and had a few others check it also -all is good on our end.

Thanks for the feedback xD

Their logo is quite weird but that's how they can create their own identity here.
Based from your roadmap, you will be launching your P2E game by 1st-2nd quarter next year, are you already starting to develop this game?
Or are you still waiting for the results of your pre-sale or sale of your token?
There are now several P2E gaming platforms, so what do you think will be the new feature that you will introduce in your game?
2733  Other / Off-topic / Re: Rumours of Sporting Industry on: November 08, 2021, 06:27:20 PM
People still used to believe these 18 year old prank by Indian media  Grin The true fact was that Ponting was so good and was able to judge the Indian bowlers and obviously was able to unleash the maximum out of the innings. But apart from that Kookaburra bat which was used by Ponting regularly had a strip of carbon graphite which provided extra power while hitting the ball.

I've been a regular user of normal Kookaburra in the mid 2005s and obviously these bats were powerful and it was able to change the way we hit the ball. ICC banned the carbon backed bat in 2006 matches and the company behind the bat recreated bats without them later and supplied to the international players.

Indians were unwilling to accept the reality of Ponting gameplay in 2003 WC and started a blunt talk stating that his bat handle had spring lol.

Is this considered cheating though? using spring bat to take advantage, thus scoring more than he should?
I think you just need to reframe your post though. Spring bat was a nonsensical rumor spread by Indian media but the real fact was the usage of carbon graphite bat which provided extra power for the batsman while in contact with the ball. The same kind of graphite bat was used by former Sri lankan opener Jayasuriya as well! Moreover while I was representing my state from 2010s, I used a more expensive bat which costed $100-$150 which was even more powerful than the normal bats used at that time and hence I was able to score better.  Smiley

I think, I will believe more on this story of yours, a bat with a strip of carbon graphite, with properties that can offer additional strength to the bat.
People sometime like to spread rumour without actually checking the veracity of the gossip.
Up until it will become like a tale in the sports industry. And not fully learning the facts and further spreading the false information.
But in the case of boxing, there were few instances that were really found out as cheaters like Margarito using plaster of paris powder on the wraps.

2734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has Shiba Inu a bright future? on: November 08, 2021, 05:34:55 PM
Even though it has a very high risk, SHIB is a memecoin that has the opportunity to survive in the crypto market, because currently the price of SHIB is much higher than expected, because its growth is increasing day by day, so there are a lot of users Crypto that invests with this memecoin, I thinks SHIB will follow in the footsteps of its patriot, Dogecoin, which until now has been able to survive and be idolized by investors, from the research I have done like SHIB has a very bright future.

Don't get too confident with SHIB because we don't know the motives of their devs here.
Once they decided to sell their shares and dump it in the market, their journey is over.
So with the question of the OP, if he will convert his ETH to SHIB, I would rather not.
ETH has very solid foundation and up until this point, we know, it will not disappear into thin air.
The dev team headed by Vitalik is visible in this community and we know they can produce results.
However, with SHIB, what is the credibility of their dev team? I have the feeling that they can always abandon this meme token once they got their pockets full.
So in my opinion, better hold your ETH rather than convert it to SHIB. But if you really want to get ahold of SHIB, just convert some.
At least, whatever happens to this meme token, once the hype is over, you still have some of your ETH.
2735  Other / Archival / Re: - on: November 08, 2021, 04:20:24 PM
Design looks clean and smooth but what does the 4444 in your name stand for?

Yes, that's interesting number to name for a sportsbook
Is there a significance to the owner why they chose those numbers?

By the way, welcome to the forum.
I see that you already have your license from Costa Rica.
And also, this is one of the sportsbooks that I've seen here allowing the use of VPN, which is good for those users who want to use VPN.
And are you going to add more cryptocurrencies in the future aside from bitcoin?
2736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The reason why Crash Games usually crash at lower values on: November 07, 2021, 11:59:19 PM

You should be able to control it if you have lost a lot of money in the game crash because it is up to us to take advantage of it, but after all we always want high numbers and that can be a trap where lose a lot of money, but after a long pass on the rocket Of course profits can be multiplied by 100%.
The game crash is easy but the control is the most important for me because this is what we will determine even though we take a low score but it is a good trick.

The computation or formula has something to offer to those who love to play and make a profit from crash games, compared to other games here, your quick action and thinking will play a big role in your winnings, I always have that feeling that I should have not stopped that early when the rocket is heading to ten times profit or I should have stopped early, your greed is your enemy here if you want more you really have to try your luck.

Usually we want more when we are seeing the rocket is still going up. Grin
We could have earn like 10x or 15x, but as we see the numbers going up, we don't want to cash out yet.
This is true as based from my experience, I also have that kind of mentality from time to time.
But if you are happy like getting 5x or 8x, you actually already got a very good profit from your bet.
Anyway, greed is always here and players always battle that kind of mind set.
2737  Economy / Economics / Re: Firefighters pension fund invests 25$ million in crypto on: November 07, 2021, 11:42:42 PM
That is big amount of money. And we can see how serious he is, taking the high risks. But he is in his own considaration and also choices to take the risks.
That is because he really trust in Bitcoin and Ethereum. The goos thing is that he invested in two top crypto. So the risks may be less than investing in hype coins which must not be done.
every good news may give influence. But let's see how big the influence is to make for crypto industry.

I think, this is much better to hear rather than them buying these meme tokens.
BTC and ETH are rock solid and most of us believe that choosing the top 2 alts is a good decision.
Before they invested those million-dollar funds, I am certain that they have done their own homework here.
So I am assuming they know what they are doing and they know how to safeguard those funds.
We will be reading more related news in the coming days as some entities are really interested in crypto these days.
2738  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|⚽️ BFG for SPORTS🏆|🎂BETFURY 2nd ANNIVERSARY|🐯CoinTiger listing on: November 07, 2021, 11:18:22 PM
If you had 100,000 BFG tokens - what would you do with them?

1) Stake them in the farming section to generate more BFG tokens
2) Leave them in the account balance to stake & receive different other Cryptos every day
3) Withdraw and convert to other Crypto/Stablecoin

I don't have that number of BFG tokens but do you?
I am a believer of BFG and its potential so I'll go for 1 and 2 but never on 3 I'll divide it 50/50 and Stake them in the farming section to generate more BFG tokens and Leave them in the account balance to stake & receive different other Cryptos every day, both options will make you a winner and gain you profit just don't use your BFG to bet I have a worse experience doing that.
Setting up your future goals using this coin, a good way for taking passive profits. I see your point and that's really something that can be followed by those investors who like treating BFG as valuable asset. You can earn while doing nothing and just wait till the value goes high, a kind of open chances to earn from your invested money.

Going into gambling? Something that will ruin your investment. Though there are traders/investors who also love trying their luck using portions of their investment into gambling and hoping that side from enjoying the game, they'll be able to generate a good amount of profit.

This is one attractive feature in this casino, because even if you spend your btc or other alts in gambling, you will not totally go home as a loser.
Because as you spend your money, you are also earning their tokens, and you can just let it sit to stake or send it for farming.
If you believe that this casino will go far, then, holding your accumulated BFG would be nice as you look forward to its potential good market value in the future.
But keep in mind that you always need to follow their updates, so you know where they are heading to.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 07, 2021, 10:43:27 PM
So the fact that this event is purely for money is clear to all of us..  Grin

And this is an easiest way to make some money with the sports he love. And who knows after this one we might see him fighting again.

I was just thinking about that too .. I think Mike tested his health against RJJ and realized that even if he can't win, he can make money. Certainly a lot depends on what happens during this fight, but if there aren't any unpleasant surprises, I'm sure we'll see Mike again.

Obviously, yes!
That's always gonna be the price for an entertainment.
Everyone is well aware of the fact that exhibition matches are primarily to raise money either for the charity or for the organisation and for the participant's gain.
Nobody is disagreeing with that, I mean who doesn't want to pay to see Mike Tyson fight again in the ring at this age.
Fans would always love to see him fight.
Now, Logan and Jake Paul just established their role as a regular boxing exhibitionist. That's how they earn huge money.

They will do that up until their respective fans are still willing to pay for the tickets.
We all know that they may have even a prior arrangement before the fight.
So for bettors, I don't think it is worth to bet especially if it is your last money.
If you want to bet, just use your extra extra funds so no hard feelings if the judges will resort to draw decision.
2740  Economy / Gambling / Re: If your games aren't provably fair, stop claiming they are. on: November 07, 2021, 12:46:47 PM
I'm not an expert on the technical side of this problem, but I agree with your statement.
Casino owners must not lie to their customers.Being honest to your clients is a very important part of doing business. This applies to every business, not just the gambling business.
[snip]
Well, as a gambler you can check the provably fair system that they said of what algorithm they had been used.
Indeed, don't claim a provably fair casino if you don't show anything that your gambling casino uses this and as a gambler, we must have to verify first if the code is given was the right generated as and provably fair.
However, here is a great thread on how to verify provably fair or a Provably Fair Guide which is on this thread I fully understand how it will work and how it will be used. [ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5227525.0 ]

The problem is most of the gambler don't know or lazy to verify if the casino is really probably fair. The thread you share is very helpful and this is the first time to know that. Typically gamblers just trust the casino based on its reputation and not because of it's probably fair system.Using the word "Probably Fair" in the website details is a must for all casino since that's the only players need to know so that they can trust it. So we can't imply it to shady casino or casino that not using it since that is a norm on online casino business.

Marking all casino that lying and making it is the best thing that I saw on this thread and its really helpful. Maybe include the link of tutorial thread above for verifying if casino is really probably fair.

The thread mentioned by Ryker is a really nice thread to bookmark, for those who want to verify their bets.
Also, it is in best interest of the casino owner not to lie about provable fairness of their system, because there are users who are really knowledgeable on how to detect if they are faking it or not.
So if they are found lying, that's not a very good image from their end. And their credibility will be ruined.
Though most of the time, we don't verify our bets especially if we are using reputable casinos here, but maybe, from time to time, just make random verification.
