1781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: European Union looks to Nigeria for Gas to replace Russian supplies on: July 25, 2022, 08:05:42 PM
The only problem though is the proceeds on these purchase. Nigeria is known to be plagued with corrupt government officials, but I guess that is a problem that the country has to solve on its own and the Europeans couldn't care less.

This is exactly how it is; they merely use Nigeria as a bait to get what they want, careless of the consequences of how they utilize the money. I only hope that the decision-makers managing this will consider and weigh dealings that will benefit the nation as a whole if not, then this is a no-go area for them.

If this story has somehow truth in it, then, the Nigerian government should see it as good opportunity.
Yes, they are known to have a corrupt government. But they can very well generate good income from this situation.
It may help their people alleviate the poverty level in so many ways. I hope their government see this as opportunity and not just another way to gain personal wealth.
Countries around the globe are looking for potential oil sources, not only EU, so hopefully, this crisis will give a very good chance for Nigeria to utilize their own resources and gain from this situation.
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnuuTech Layer 1 Project - Data Integrity Solutions on: July 25, 2022, 05:20:41 PM
For an ordinary crypto user, can you give what are the benefits of this project?
Because you need to attract large number of users to sustain your project in this market.
How can you endorse it to small players in this industry? Do they have usage for this platform?
As there are so many crypto projects existing today, most of them ended up only in the trading section,
but usually, their actual use case is forgotten once they started trading in the market.

AnuuTech is a blockchain company specializing in Data Integrity protection. We are working towards creating a platform that can help enterprises and ordinary users precisely; make sure their transacted data is delivered or received intact and safe from unauthorized, unconfirmed changes.

Legal documentation (including those coming from lawyers or notaries); databases of any type (patient db or supply chain db); contracts of any type (private property or employment ones); NFTs; video, image or audio metadata; all fall under the broad term "data" .

Everyone utilizing our technology can benefit from it, provided their transacted data is first fed to the AnuuTech blockchain. But we do not stop there. Provided that corporations adopt our technology, it could help individuals stay protected from phishing links since they would immediately know if they have received an email with altered data from an impostor. AnuuTech protection extends to identity theft or fake accounts from deceivers posing as someone else (a company's CEO, a lawyer, a news company or a contractor, to name a few). AnuuTech is also able to enhance online shopping, online betting and online gaming experience. And can also work as the ultimate layer of protection on top of one's antivirus program.

In our network, the ordinary cryptocurrency user can verify the transactions instead of having the nodes do this for him. It is up to the user to choose how far back into the chain they want to check the integrity of the transacted coins. Because the coins are only transferred when the end-user accepts them, a transaction can be cancelled, which is unique in the crypto world. It makes the technology much more user-friendly.
There is no more fear of losing coins when you mistype a character or hit that enter key a little too early.

AnuuTech's Use Case Proof of Hash is already a beta Proof of Concept running on our network.

"As there are so many crypto projects existing today, most of them ended up only in the trading section, but usually, their actual use case is forgotten once they started trading in the market."

That Use Case is not forgotten.

Your target missions are quite great but only when the platform is up and working, we will see its true performance.
So let us see once you are already out of beta because right now, it is too early to speculate on how you will cater those services.
By the way, thank you for the response. Appreciate the explanation. Hope to see huge number of crypto users using your network.
Most of the time, the concept is great, but when it comes to implementation, that's when the project will start seeing the bottlenecks upon its actual application.
1783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: July 25, 2022, 03:13:55 PM
Both will be the best choice. I will also prefer buying gold while investing with Bitcoin because both of them are good for long-term investment. I just find lesser risk with gold since it isn't volatile and we could have it physically. However, Bitcoin could provide a higher profit when the market strikes high but if you're a wise investor, you will grab both because of the opportunity that these two could offer.

If you do have the funds, it is better to invest in both. Diversification is good when it comes to investments.
With gold, you have no worries that the price will go down overnight as its market has been established for so long already.
Whereas, if you are a risk taker, you can also invest some in bitcoin. But you should know the risks involved because of its very volatile market.
At the end of the day, it is on you how you will invest your funds. As long as you know what you're getting into, you can do both.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: July 25, 2022, 01:40:36 PM
I didn't say that getting into these leaderboards was a goal for me (although in fact it would be nice since the tops get huge bonuses for the money they wage). Haven't you ever met such a psychological effect that you saw things that were approximately the same in meaning but of a very different scale, and the smaller thing against the background of the big one became, as it were, insignificant?
Of course, it would be nice if we could get to the leaderboards and it seems like there are still many people who make it their goal to gamble. I think I've seen the situation you mentioned but I don't know and am not sure, because I've never really thought about it much. If I encounter something that has to do with psychology, I tend to let it go and not think about it because that will make me think more about it and even forget what I should be doing.
Many people are gambling for profit so yes all of them have once dreamed of to be part of the leader board because there are extra prizes that you can win but many of them have also forget it and don't push that dream because they know that it will take them lots of money before they can increase their ranks in the leaderboard. About that psychology thing you are saying, yes you better forget about that because that can make you crazy in the long run if you will keep on thinking about it.

There are lots of new stuffs being introduced in the casino this year but I don't think those stuffs have became a trend since many of the casinos are not following it.

Definitely, casinos will try and try new stuffs to cater the gambling community.
This will give them advantage over the others, however, they need to find a good feature that can sustain the interest of players.
This is why from time to time, they need to change the contests or programs, as players are not contented with only one and they got bored easily.
Also, they need to innovate and adopt what's the current interest of the players, like venturing the NFT business and integrate it with the casino.
1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to have a high influence over other cryptocurrencies? on: July 25, 2022, 11:15:02 AM
Just think of a leader. He can be the leader of a community or country or to a group of people. Whatever it might be, we can experience the influence of the leader over those people. Why he is a leader, because he have got special qualities and characteristics that the followers doesn't have. This is where a leader differ from the follower. The same is with bitcoin, it have got its uniqueness and the influence is found over the altcoins.
Well leader is leading because of its value and that is what bitcoin has and some altcoin dont have, though even the following altcoins are just a tip of an ice berg comparing to bitcoin and this is far different from the size of the support for this number one ranking cryptocurrency.
Simply because it has some successful history and some kind of anonymity that other coins don't have and also the feature that every coin doesn't have which is its creator is no longer controlling or developing bitcoins features rather the creator of bitcoins lets everyone do their own contribution on how they will use bitcoins like for example using it as a personal asset that no one can touch except its rightful owner and makes it as a mean of payment and others.
and because this is the pioneer in which indicates how strong the support is and how many people trusting this with their money.

We can't deny the fact that despite of thousands of alts created, still bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency in the market.
Many have attempted to create better performing alts, and yet, people still go back to the original one.
Besides, the creator is still a mystery up until now, and we know, he's not after for the glory or fame or money.
This invention is indeed a game-changer in this generation. And in this market, everyone can participate. No boundaries.
1786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 24, 2022, 11:49:50 PM
It's also starting to get a bit boring for Carlsen, to be honest. He no longer has the motivation to recharge and go full for the world title. He has been world champion many times and if you take the rating list, he is also ahead of a cartload of points. His only motivation seems to be to break through the magical 2900 barrier once, apart from that he has already won everything there is to win. Firouzja is seen as the new world champion, but as long as Carlsen plays chess it will be difficult. That boy is already 2nd or 3rd in the world rankings. And he's 20 I think.

I understand how boring it is for Carlsen, he really doesn't have enough opponents to remain committed to keeping the title of world champion.
It would be a shame to see him give up and give the title to any other player at a lower level.

Unlike other sports, chess does not have a lot of diversity in the way it is played other than changes in the use of the watch, which could create new challenges for Carlsen to challenge himself.

He is only seeing Firouzja to be the only opponent who would make him join again the Championship match.
But according to below article, he won't be defending his title in 2023.

https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/national/world-champion-chess-player-says-he-wont-defend-title

But he will still play in tournaments but won't play in championships.
Maybe, he deserves a break and wants to just enjoy the game without much pressure.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 24, 2022, 11:16:35 PM
The ancient Stoic philosophers wrote a lot about this in their time.  The most famous Stoic philosopher was the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Stoicism is an ancient philosophical doctrine that promotes moderation in everything to achieve psychological and physiological balance.  In modern science, this balance is called homeostasis.  The Stoics taught that too strong emotions should be avoided, because they put a person out of psychological balance.

Stoicism applies to gambling as well.  Don't try to win too much.  You also need to try not to lose too much.  The player needs constant control over their own emotions.
Seneca could be one of the most famous Stoics of his time as well (what's up with romans and stoic ideas? lol) and he had similar sayings about this as well. If you do not achieve that balance then you are going to be chasing one too much and end up with going too imbalanced and would result with something wrong.

The best thing in life is the moderation, if you do not live your life on that balance then you are going to lose your balance and fall. Gambling is the same, if you do not gamble at all then it's fine, if you gamble with just free faucet stuff then you will not find it enough, and if you gamble millions then you will be upset when you lose, so find that right balance.

Moderation is the key to appreciate the goodness of everything.
Because if you abuse one thing, that's when you will start having problems.
As mentioned by the OP, I can agree with those positive impact of gambling to people.
That is, if you know how to control yourself in front of the gambling table and know your limits.
1788  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 24, 2022, 10:48:02 PM
Again. Why are you talking about a pandemic this season? Last season everything was fine, and there were no problems with the pandemic. But we have problems this season - we have the World Cup in November-December. This will change everything in local championships. I cannot predict any results. Weak teams will get an advantage because their players will rest.
You know, when players rest so much, they get to loose there rhythm, there winning mentality but the stressed players who continues to be involved in the game, always on the pitch, though they might be stressed, they sure do get better at the games and it's a mentality they would carry to the leagues. Not to mention, all on an international team don't play on the same club side so, this kind of equates the platform and it becomes subject to individual performance a that point. More over, weaker teams don't get to future more on an international scale given the player quality.

This bottleneck I believe, will be overcome by these athletes.
As we are heading back to normal situation, these players are also starting to go back to their normal routine.
We can understand that some of them really do need to recover from pandemic way of life.
But in time, they will return to where they were, it is not easy being a bum for about couple of years, right?  Tongue
So the betting, it may be slightly different, but give it a time, and they will be back on their feet.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 24, 2022, 10:17:15 PM
I don't like buying casino tokens because it is subject to manipulation.  I'd rather get into the chipsgg token scheme where  Casino 's approach is rewarding token for every x amount of bet.  In chips.gg, they don't sell token but reward them to their player.  They do have a staking program of the earned token giving the stakes a dividend from the daily earnings of the Casino according to the percentage of their holdings from the total staked token.  It wasn't selling at any exchanges but due to its staking program it does gives earnings to holders.

What are you talking about?! You get BFG by playing at Betfury, you get OWL by playing at OWL casino... Yes, Chips tokens can only be staked, but with Betfury and OWL other than staking you can decide to sell them and you can do it! While with Chips tokens you are limited...

It's nice to see people commenting without checking the thread and previous comments! Smiley

I think, it all boils down to the preference of the player, and where he wants to really play with.
Some would want to get BFG because they can sell it outside the casino, whereas,
some would prefer to get the Chips token because they are loyal player of the casino.
I do agree that you can get BFG or OWL, not only buying it, but earning it via playing with the casino.
At the end of the day, it depends on the player where he really want to play with, sometimes it is not about the casino token anymore.

This new concept of trading seems interesting.
But at the moment, I believe, not many can afford to participate in this kind of trading.
But maybe later on, as VR gadgets are getting more affordable, people may try this platform.
The team should find ways on how to reach out potential users as much as they can.
Because this endeavor is not a regular one that every crypto user can utilize with their trading or gaming activities.
1791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 23, 2022, 11:31:58 PM
All for helping, but cannot say for sure what this aid wi be for precisely. Not going to read too deep either but when I see it's "for the war", then that uncertainty is even more.

Even if it were a good cause, not for arms or violence etc., how this is good for Bitcoin, hard for me to see really ha.

Maybe, people will appreciate that seized bitcoins are going to help somebody's country which is still at war.
At least, the bitcoins coming from illegal means can be used to assist Ukraine at this time of crisis.
Not in the pockets of politicians for the country that badly needs financial assistance.
Wherever they will use it, so long it can help alleviate the suffering of its people, that's more enough to know.
1792  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎥 YouTube Overview event for $10 000|🚀 BFG Listing Anniversary on: July 23, 2022, 11:06:07 PM
If Binance lists BFG, it will be a huge event for Betfury. Undoubtedly it will pump the price of the token. But lately, Binance rarely lists new coins. And the selection of candidates is tougher. I think BFG has little chance of getting listed on this exchange.

Yeah, if the listing on Binance happened, the BFG token would most likely immediately be pumped by 5-10 times or even more, given that BFG has a huge potential for growth as its market cap is only $34 million at the moment. At the same time, we shouldn't focus only on Binance. It would also be good if the Betfury team could get listed on exchanges like Kucoin or OKX. I'm more than sure that the requirements for listing on these two exchanges are much more loyal compared to Binance.

If things were easier then it should have been listed long ago , on the contrary the Betfury team chose the exchange with lower volume
Or even an exchange we don't know and controversy like coinsbit , I don't know what the Betfury team's motivation to listed BFG there
Even though there's nothing they can hope for there except update news.

Listing in smaller exchanges is also good as they can see the sentiments of the traders towards their token.
However, it is no doubt that if it is listed in binance, the interest may change and may affect its price.
But, as it sits right now, binance listing is no easy feat, unless, the exchange is seeing a massive demand for their token.
For the moment, better devote their activities to further sustain the interest of their players.
Because the important thing is they are surviving and generating income to compete with other casinos & bookies.
1793  Economy / Gambling / Re: I feel I being cheated by Primedice Affiliate and Support is like bots no help. on: July 22, 2022, 11:54:21 PM
Best way to test this is with a personal friend using your referral and notifying you every time with clear evidence of every action, deposit, gamble and so on.     I didnt see it mentioned but people can be erratic and gambling sites do get used like a bank or place to leave a balance for safety or just convenience.    To be sure it would need to confirm if this person has only deposited and not touched any of it because I find that quite possible from all the users and different sites Ive known over the years.   I realize the various rules, etc. but its possible this person is occupied with other matters in life not actively gambling right now so I think it best to test out exactly what occurs and keep your evidence etc.

That's more than fair, so you know if the site is indeed having some problems on this aspect.
The OP can't tell if the depositor indeed played after depositing.
Much better if he has more tangible proofs rather than speculating that his referral did use his deposits.
The OP can also reach out to the Primedice staff, and see how he will address this situation.
1794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 22, 2022, 10:35:56 PM
If you have funds, you can always contact gambling game providers and bookmakers to integrate them into your planned casino.  You also need a person that is well experienced in financial management since money will be the oil to your engines of plans.  So basically you need a team of experts in every department such as marketing, R&D, finance, legal, etc, to at least increase your chance of success in the gambling industry.
^ Expecting that this needs a huge fund to sustain the project and you are definitely right, OP cannot do this alone, he needs a team for this but the problem is how he starts to have a team. It is better probably if he has a team that he knows personally, nowadays it is hard to trust someone on the internet, we always doubt strangers because this always happens and most of them are scammers. That is now the possible problem of the OP, how he will start to have a partners.

In my opinion, the OP should forget about this possible business venture.
From my impression, he is not ready to tackle this gambling business.
And he may just end up with launching a substandard online casino, which will only last short-time.
He will just waste his resources if he can't find a good financial backer that will go all in.
His background is only on coding, that's a small part only in this business.
Don't think of creating a crap casino that will deceive users. Better look for other business that you think you can do better.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 21, 2022, 11:58:42 PM
I don't mind this stuff honestly. I just gambling on my own.

If you are responsible enough to play wisely, there should be no problem.

Just play relaxed and be comfortable so that we are not stressed. Gambling in moderation is good but it doesn't mean we should always keep it that way. Look at those professional gamblers, gambling almost every day but they are still disciplined and responsible gamblers in the end.

In short, it is on the gambler how he will handle himself in gambling.
As long as you know the limits, you can appreciate this activity.
However, if you are playing beyond your financial capability, that's when you will start getting problems.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla: "We have converted approximately 75% of our BTC into fiat currency" on: July 21, 2022, 11:15:32 PM
The exposure Tesla got with the purchase was nearly priceless. Basically free global marketing.

The profit/loss was never really an issue…
Yeah, they're on the news, as in everywhere and the same time, their company name was on it. They get free advertising from almost every news agency, paper and in the mass media.
What a strategy for them, they just hope on to invest in a known cryptocurrency, they sell at profit and they get all the exposure that they want and needed for them to have more sale for their cars. A great strategy indeed.

Any form of advertising is indeed good for a company.
They may be selling at a loss but hey, they got a very good advertisement with their Tesla company.
Anyway, it is up to the people how they view this. But at the end of the day, you are the one taking care of your funds.
So a good advertisement or not, it is on your hands how you you react on this situation.

1798  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 19, 2022, 10:51:06 PM

Your friend only have themselves to blame in this scenario. Unfortunately lots of people, usually when people are quite young, don't seem to understand that it is not "free money" but has to be paid back and sometimes it takes a long time at great additional expense. I suspect at the very beginning, when the loan was first taken out, the repayment dates were laid out pretty clearly in the contract and these contracts sometimes aren't understood by the recipients as they should be. You don't need to avoid loan apps, you just need to be very clear on when the repayments will take place and ideally want to make sure you only take loans at below 5% or you'll be paying an obscene amount back. Paying them back as quick as possible is also a good idea, they can even be good for your credit score if you pay on time every time.

If you are taking a loan to any platform or any app, the responsibility of taking care of it is on you.
I don't think they will deduct without prior notice or arrangement with the debtor.
I do agree that the repayment dates are already laid out after acquiring the loan.
This is on your responsibility now how to make sure you will pay on time and not forget the dates.
Because there is advantage of taking the loan, specially if you are tight with the budget.
But once you get it, you should remind yourself about your due dates.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 18, 2022, 09:44:40 PM
Banks will not allow those gamblers to open their account easily, because its prone to frauds.
Luckily, we have the option now for online wallet and this is a big game changer since we can now easily transact online and withdraw money without thinking about the banks and the regulation. This is also my priority right now where I can experience both security and privacy. The casinos can attract gamblers by giving out more promotions and it seems more effective here.
there are many hard rules for the transitions and despite and  gambler have to pay a hefty money for all this.
In our country there are many issues regarding trasection and deposit. When I read where people mention that everything is very easy in their county I feel left behind.

Maybe, for now, you can't do anything much about it but follow your government protocols.
In the next years to come, your government may change their stance towards the crypto market.
As they are seeing advanced countries accepting it wholeheartedly, they may think about their own stand.
So for now, you can accumulate some of the valuable coins, but need to secure where you are storing your funds.
Also, there are several casinos which are not restricting their players by their location, just take a look at their ToS first.

But maybe even in exhibition fight, Mayweather will still refuse to have a rematch with Manny. But we will see, we thought that Floyd will not fight Conor but he did for the love of money.

So when the money is right for sure he will accept it, but there could be more conditions and still wanted to remain undefeated even in exhibition and fix fight.  Smiley

How so? I think a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight will generate huge cash flows for both sides and I'm kind of sure that Mayweather would happily accept it if the price is right and surely that comes a condition of course, I bet one of those conditions is that he will receive the bigger slice. Typical Mayweather but yes, let's see if this rumor will do come true soon.

We're over with their exhibitions. Too bad Floyd didn't fight Pac while he is in his prime. Out come would have been different. He has to put up all the excuses in the world from drug to std test.

Most probably Pac is honing himself again with a Korean youtuber this time. It could just be a preparation for another exhibition fight, this is what  popular legends in boxing do these days. Although its not a real boxing, they still profit from fake boxing like WWE.

Or we may hear a lot of demands from Mayweather's camp before he will sign the deal for exhibition fight with Pacquiao.
Because knowing Pacquiao's personality, he doesn't give much of a trouble, he will fight if his fans are asking for it.
So if this rumor is true, more than likely, it would be years in the making again just like what happened on their 2015 fight.
Maybe, they will come into terms to fight at age 50 and beyond.  Grin So we should not hope to see them inside the ring very soon.
