1941  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: June 08, 2022, 09:48:41 PM
I would gladly tell the casino so that they can protect themselves for a reward.
In my experience, everyone would actually say this but only a few would actually report the issue especially when they have everything to gain from it.

I am very pessimistic on this issue.   Sad
Unfortunately, I think that most of the users who use vulnerabilities for their own enrichment do this without giving a damn about conscience and morality. After all, they internally justify themselves, as it were, with the thesis that they deceive me wherever possible. So why should I be honest. Especially if I think that no one will catch me and punish me. There is and even thrives a huge number of hackers who even guess that they can be put in jail. But they still do their dirty work and run around the world and hide from justice.

Alas, there are few honest and absolutely moral people.
They are clearly lacking on this planet Earth.

It does really depend on the morals of the person how he will approach on this scenario.
And sometimes, even if you say it to yourself, you won't do it, but when the opportunity presents, you may change your mind.
So we can't really tell what's going on with the minds of people, when you are already in the situation.
But of course, as much as possible, much better if you will do the right thing, so your conscience is clear and you have no worries in your mind.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: June 08, 2022, 09:05:37 PM
Without a doubt once a service reaches a certain point then it is inevitable that complains are going to surge against it, however as you say that is not really a problem, what we need to watch is how the service deals with those complains? And if they do so in a way that leaves both parties satisfied then without a doubt we are in a presence of a good casino, however if they fail to give good customer support and we see that the one which is complaining is right then without a doubt this can affect the reputation of the casino in question.
Casinos that provide the best service to their members are good. no matter how difficulties or mistakes occur. when the service provided is good and gives satisfaction to members, of course, it will be a positive assessment for the casino.

Overcoming the problem of gamblers is not easy. especially if the problem is related to losing their money. they have to come with emotion. will be difficult to deal with and require a trained service to deal with some members who may be emotional.

Getting new members to trust a new casino is difficult. and it takes time. Casinos have to provide a convincing and enjoyable first experience to attract interest first.
Without a doubt dealing with an unhappy customer can be really difficult, people that have worked at some form of customer support can tell you that an unhappy customer can take a great deal of your time, this is why people that have gambled for a long time can tell how difficult it is to find a casino with good customer support and when they find a casino with such characteristic it immediately moves at the top of the list of the casinos in which they want to keep gambling.

As long as the support knows their site's ToS, he can easily deal a difficult customer.
Because if he is very knowledgeable with all their protocols, he can point it out to the player, without making him upset or angry.
As we have seen in the forum, some newbies will suddenly post a scam allegation to a certain casino saying they have been screwed.
But if they can't produce valid proofs, they won't be entertained by the community.
But a responsive and effective site support is always needed to gain trust from its players.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: June 07, 2022, 11:10:21 PM
Have not done that before reasons being that it is difficult to see any local shop in my country that accepts bitcoin payment. Honestly I think it will be wonderful if shops in my country will adopt bitcoin payment because it will save us the stress of converting bitcoin to our local currency before making payments...
I myself have never either. the problem is almost the same as yours. But I'm a little interested in the way the OP dares to ask directly the shop owner who doesn't have any writing on accepting bitcoin payments. I also tried it yesterday at a convenience store, asking if I can pay with bitcoin or other crypto? and apparently he didn't accept it, but what surprised me was that the shop owner also knew about crypto and instead took a long time to talk with him.  Grin

And he found out that there was a friend's shop not far from there that accepted crypto payments. but his friend runs an electronics shop and repair service he said his friend prefers to be paid with stablecoins, but sometimes his friends also accept bitcoin and Tron. But I haven't tried to go to the shop because I'm just trying to ask the shop that I usually pass by after work. maybe next time if I have a need for electronic repair services I will try it.

High volatility is the usual reason of these merchants not to accept crypto.
But I believe this perspective will change over time as the adoption increases.
Once these shops understand the potential of crypto payments, they would be willing to add crypto payment.
But for now, let us be grateful that we can easily convert our crypto to fiat, and then, use it to whatever we need.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: June 07, 2022, 10:04:19 PM
Just because of one fight, someone who has been fighting amazingly for their entire career, doesn't go down as a bad fighter just because they lost a few fights. Mike Tyson is remembered as one of the best fighters of all time, and he had 58 fights, 6 of them were losses, 2 no contest. So all in all, he had 6 losses, last 2 being serious losses as well. So all in all, just because Donaire lost, doesn't mean that he would be remembered as a bad fighter. He was a good fighter, and not justl ike he fought very well, in the meaning that he was fighter in his soul as well, dude took on so much and still kept on going, bot on the ring and off the ring as well.

I can agree with you here. A boxer is not remembered just because of his one last fight.
It is his legacy that will be remembered and a good example that you gave is Mike Tyson.
Hang the gloves or not, Donaire already created his legacy to this sports.
Time for the young blood to be on stage. Everyone will come to this phase in life.
And it is how you graciously accept this fact, to move on with your life and be contented about it.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Kill Cryptocurrencies ? on: June 07, 2022, 09:17:19 PM
We have been talking about this for a very long time now, actually i think one of the reason behind some countries launching CBDC's is their misconception of trying to compete with Bitcoin, or trying to convince their citizens to use the state issued digital currencies rather than Bitcoin, another reason would of course be competition amongst nations in terms of following the latest trend, but that is by the way.

Having said that, these countries are actually getting it wrong issuing/creating/launching CBDC's with Bitcoin at the back of their minds, they forget that theirs is centralized and issued by them, theirs will function like their fiat currencies and would be manipulated by the government. Bitcoin is none of that, it is decentralized, deflationary and not issued by any central authority. The thing is this, while quite a lot of us are knowledgeable about all of these, there are masses out there that are not, and the government are good in spreading their propaganda about Bitcoin and promoting their CBDC on the other hand, this can definitely deceive people who do not have so much knowledge.

I think, one major reason that they are now creating their own CBDCs is because of digitalization driven by this pandemic.
I don't think they are competing with BTC here because btc is not a competitor of CBDC.
As people are going digital, CBDC is a good form for their people to use as payment method and other financial transactions, avoiding the physical cash.
As crypto is getting popular, going into CBDC won't be hard for them to implement this digitalization. We all know that CBDC is a centralized one.
Sooner or later, their people will understand the difference of CBDC and BTC or other alts. But using their CBDC is a good start to learn crypto, that is for those noncrypto users.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good list for longterm investment? on: June 06, 2022, 09:58:31 PM
1/6 Bitcoin (BTC)
1/6 Ethereum (ETH)
1/6 Polygon (MATIC)
In my opinion, these three coins are good investments, but we still cannot guarantee every coin can rise up multiple times in the next bullish. However, at least, we have chosen the top coins.
Actually, the best coin for the long term is only Bitcoin that is commonly offering its best return after its halving.
For altcoins, it seems that still cannot predict whether it will be or not. But commonly as long as they s=can survive during this bearish market, they have bigger chance to rise up.

For me, BTC will always be a top choice if you want for long-term investment.
ETH is also a very good addition also as the foundation is really solid.
And with Vitalik leading this platform, I don't think he will disappear because of money.
Matic is also a promising network, though its progress in the market still depends on the team behind it.
With Apecoin, I can say, I am not confident with this project. It can easily go down once this meme-related projects are not popular anymore.
Though they are promoting web 3.0 concept here, but don't know exactly the long-term goals of the team here.
They have monkey-animated faces in their profiles so we don't know their actual faces here.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: June 06, 2022, 09:49:19 PM
Have you ever tried to use the autobet on some gambling websites or have you successfully used third-party bot scripts for betting on sites where it is allowed? Did the bots win?
Maybe almost everyone has used autobet or bots if active in dice gambling, to be honest I've also used a autobet but unfortunately it doesn't work as well as other gamblers, (sometimes) between winning in the short term works more for me than in the long term. You must be to big a money to start, may can be get passive profit but remember still beating the house is not easy.

It doesn't work for me either even if you calculate 15 successive losses, the house edge will always play, I only do auto bet when I can monitor it and keep my eyes on my bet so I can make the necessary adjustment in case the roll is not favoring me, I have never won in an auto bet when I let it by itself, I'm better off playing manually than using a bot, there's no exact calculation that can beat the house when using a bot.

I have the same experience here, though I am using autobet if I have small bets.
Just to increase the wagered amount if I am aiming for certain level.
But if the amount is significant enough for me, I play manual.
I have the experience using auto bet but not this bot.
Is there really advantage of using bots in casinos? Can it really give you edge in your games?
1948  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 06, 2022, 09:34:49 PM
Looks like Stake decreased rakeback 5% for all casino games. It hurts to get $2 for 4k wager. Can't find any announcement about this change on social media accounts of Stake...

Have you tried asking this from their onsite chat support?
For sure, they have answer on this. And can easily get response from them.
But yes, $2 for 4k wager. That's very stingy in my opinion.  Tongue
Maybe, they are getting good number of high rollers here, thus, decreasing the %  rakeback.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HASH] Hashbon Pass - an innovative solution to the KYC problem by Hashbon on: June 06, 2022, 09:00:34 PM
As you said, it is anonymous KYC. I am curious, what details are you gonna ask from users?
How it is anonymous KYC? Can you elaborate more on this?
If there will be no transfer of personal information, how are you going to get the details of the users?
And from the list of your partners, what kind of collaboration do you have on them?

We don't ask for any details from the user, they just fill up a nickname when creating the passport. Once they've created one, they will they'll have to submit their documents for verification. Once the user is verified, the passport then is marked "verified". Since the submitted document has been verified by licensed verifiers, the "verified" status on their end is sufficient for partner service providers. This means that you can start using their service without having to provide them with your documents, even if they require you to pass KYC.

This, as a result, dramatically reduces the distribution of your data, meaning that if a certain database of a service you've used becomes compromised, your data will not be at risk.

---

All of our decisions regarding partnerships take into consideration our community of HASHtronauts.

Thank you very much for the elaborate answer.
As a follow-up question, it means, the kyc document of your users are taken care of these licensed verifiers?
Are you going to disclose those licensed verifiers to the public or is it within the company's knowledge only?
If the partner service provider already know that you are verified, why would they ask you for another KYC?
And if you are showing promising feature here, I am curious why are there no users who are interested on this thread?
Do you think you can find your niche in the DeFi market? What are you looking at here in the next 6 months to come?
1950  Economy / Economics / Re: Trouble in paradise for India? on: June 06, 2022, 08:22:42 PM

Hmm, India is buying oil at a discount rate but they are selling those oil by refining to European countries when oil price in their own country is skyrocketing. When people are suffering because of these price hikes then govt is making a hell lot of money.

They can not reduce oil prices in their country when they are already buying it at a discount rate then how OPEC countries increased oil supply will decrease the oil price?

I recently read a thread also pertaining to this situation, India buying at a discount rate from Russia.
And selling it at a very good price in EU after refining it. A very smart move from this country.
With this advantage, they can lower their oil price because they are getting it cheaper because of this war situation.
At least help their countrymen on this aspect. It is understandable if other countries are increasing their fuel prices.
But if India is buying it at a discounted price, why not share this benefit to its people?
1951  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 06, 2022, 07:21:51 PM
1. Reviews
2. License
3. Known on forum
4. Checking their forum account if they have any negative feedback
5. Comments about them in the spam section if any
6. Campaigns

Well the idea is to make sure that you do not engage in a sports book that you have not read a review of, the license is something that you can buy online but if a sports book is able to renew it every month that means it's earning. One can also type the name on Google and see the accusations that we might have missed, you will definately see a variety of them on various platforms.

If you are here in the forum, the gambling boards are very good sources of information about casinos and sportsbooks.
From the first item you mentioned, reviews - better check if the review site is a comprehensive and not bias one.
Most review sites are after for the possible referral commission, hence, they don't care if they will list a popular yet scam site.
For me, if you are a user of this forum, it is better to check the respective thread of the casino and check the trust summary of their rep.
You can also have a good understanding on what's going on if you will read the content of their thread.
It may also give you handful of information that you can use before sending any penny to the site.

10% to devs ? The the devs being you and your brother ?

Also, you have a WIX website, no pools, no explorer, and 5 minute block times.

If this coin does get off the ground, I see you and your brother rug pulling as soon as you see any actual value.

Anyone would be foolish to use their resources on this project.

It's cool that you are young, and are exploring blockchain tech. But pumping out shitcoins is a shameful path to start on.

They are being upfront about this project as created just for the fun of it.
He is young and he is exploring this world of crypto.
You can't expect much from this project, so as a user, it is your own choice if you will participate here or not.
If someone will be a victim later on with their stunt, then, who is to blame?
If you feel you know better than them, then you should know what route you will walk on. Be smart.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 05, 2022, 09:43:37 PM
A good strategy is the start. But even with a good strategy you are still dependent on a huge amount of luck. And you can't influence that unfortunately. There are people with success stories who have won a lot of money at a casino, but believe me there are more stories of people who have lost a lot of money. A Martingale would be a good strategy to start with. And a good bankroll.

If we are talking about luck-based games, I don't think any strategy can work to optimize profits.
What you can do is get out while you are winning and don't wait too long because it can easily go back to the casino.
But if you are into sportsbetting, the likelihood that you can earn is better if you are betting on a particular sports that you are very familiar of.
At least, aside from luck, you are using your knowledge about the sports to win your bets.
But if you are talking about the regular casino games, it is hard to maximize your profits because it is based mostly in luck.
1954  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🌴Summer Hangout event for $500 000🌴|🎨 Branded TofuNFT Giveaway on: June 05, 2022, 09:08:22 PM
I don't know how Betfury feels about using a VPN, but I would be careful with that. Have you read the terms and conditions carefully what it says there regarding the use of a VPN? Using a VPN usually means that your internet connection is being refused by the server. With a VPN you avoid that problem, but you can also run into other problems. And the last thing you want is for your account to be blocked.

If you happen to use VPN in any gambling site not only betfury, make sure how the site is implementing this part.
Know the clear regulations and you can always ask on their chat support, at least it is coming from them.
You don't want your funds to be frozen because of your neglect to confirm about the use of VPN.
Because some sites will accept you even if you are in the prohibited countries but come time the withdrawal, that's when they will be strict about.
1955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: June 04, 2022, 11:59:22 PM
I guess by now we know that the price might be trending in the $20k-$30k and that is bear market for us. And what others have pointed out, we might want to see this kind of movement, but we are in the bear market and learn how to accept it and play. I know it's hard specially if you wanted to day trade because of the huge risk. So what others do, specially those who don't have to trade, it just fill your bags with BTC and look for long term investment.
Hmmm? Really?

Let's see .. we are still on an attempt to break the $32k to $33k , im pretty sure once we get through that range, we are no longer in bearish trend.
Nearly $31k now and yet swinging ...
Good time to scalping and get some quick cash in short term though.

The bearish period anyway is a subjective one because it depends on your point of reference.
Some may look this time as bearish but if you compare it to the period where btc was like in the 17-25k, how can you identify this 30k level?
On the other hand, everyone is free to take this opportunity to possibly accumulate their btc stash.
The 30k range won't be forever, sooner or later, we may be hitting the 40k level again.
1956  Economy / Gambling / Re: 7Slotz.io - Fair Crypto Casino on: June 04, 2022, 11:36:36 PM
Well the Crypto Raffle has 10000 tickets, once every ticket is sold we randomly select a winner, there is no big magic happening here, just a random ticket will be selected.
I asked you a clear question so, please, give me a clear answer. It is as simple as that.

I clearly asked you about the provably fair system/algorithm you use to determin the winner in your lottery game (you claim all your games are provably fair, right!) but your answer is a general explanation about how lottery games work as if we don't already know that!
Also, why is it possible to buy tickets with free credits which practically have no value? wouldn't this affect the chances of winning for players who buy tickets with real money?

Provable fairness is the usual problem of this kind of script, so maybe, this is the reason why he couldn't answer clearly.
In my opinion, casino running in a ready-to-go script doesn't survive long in this industry.
So high likely, the goal of this casino is not for long-term but I can be totally wrong about it.
Let us see if they can attract high rollers and maintain their site for at least couple of years.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Billion USTC Burned ! possible X100 Increase on: June 04, 2022, 11:10:35 PM
Even if they burn all of it, a lot of people have already lost their confidence and trust to anything that's related to Luna Foundation Guard. Don't be too overhyped with such moves because it's already too late for them. What's done is already done and it cannot be retrieved anymore and even if they do it correctly this time, there are issues and cases that the owners and members of it has to face in South Korea. That's already a red flag and if they ever overcome it and win against those allegations or able to answer most of those cases. Still, go back to the first cause of it because it's hard to return the trust of the community.

Please be cautious on this project if you decide to invest again on this team.
They can always pull off another scheme because right now, it seems they can get away with it.
A lot of people were screwed and ruined by this project, so better think many times before you jump again on this one.
No one can assure you that you can gain profits from this. But for me, one thing for sure is that the team already gained much from their project.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 04, 2022, 10:15:41 PM
Mostly you can notice the match is fixed if the player is intentionally not doing its role like in basketball they miss the shot, in boxing they miss the punch or too slow, in a horse race, the rider makes the horse not conditionally well prepared, and more, of course, you are a fan of the game you want to bet and there are a lot of people who wants their player wins and there's a possible under the table transactions that might affect also the other bettors, but of course if you don't have a power too you cant do anything about match fixings.

I agree if you are keen on details and you know players and participants and their statistics and have seen them play many times you expect the same performance in every game, but if you see something like intentionally missing the shot and intentionally making mistakes then there's something wrong if a player is having a bad night the coaching staff will replace him but if they insist that he stay on the court, then there's a possibility that even the staff is participating in fixing the game.

I have read several stories in basketball. You can easily spot the game fixing if you are very familiar with the members of the team.
Because you will know if they are not in their normal performance and just throwing the game.
Usually, it is because of the big bets involved. When it comes to boxing, you can also see it how the boxer is doing his punches inside the ring.
If you are an enthusiast of a particular sports, spotting the unusual movements of their players would be easy.
1959  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 04, 2022, 09:23:27 PM
There have been some months that it was "quite easy" to predict the bitcoin price as the price seemed relative stable and even when you would bet on multiple ranges, you could still have some profit. These last weeks, the price is too volatile to me so I am avoiding betting on the BTC price.
I understand that there could be some times and there are some situations where it was easy to predict the price of bitcoin but at the same time I feel like there are most months that would be quite difficult to actually calculate what would be the bitcoin price and I understand that some people could find it easier but at the same time it wasn't that simple for many other people as well.

For me, every month is hard to hit the right price for example, the only times I won would be the months when I wagered on a multiple bet and still won like you said, but at the same time the times when I had to pick just one, because it wouldn't be profitable to pick multiple, I always end up losing.

I can understand your sentiments about btc price prediction because it is also quite hard for me to win if I will only bet in one range.
Even if we are here long enough in this market, predicting what's gonna be the price at the end of the month is still difficult for me.
In that waiting period, there are circumstances that will influence the bitcoin price and change the path of the market.
Multiple bets will really give you better chance of winning, but if you are very confident with your choice, you can always take advantage this in your betting activity.
1960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: June 03, 2022, 11:56:28 PM
Either newbie or not can invest in any project they want as long as you made a good research which can help you a bit to tell if the project is legit or not. These days, there are many scam projects that you may think that it is a legit project. I even found many scam projects but I still able to find legit project where I did earn by joining the project how much more if you are one of their investors. The important point I was explaining is be careful of the scam projects.
^ I got what you mean and that is right, be careful or never invest in a new project if you are a newbie, why?
Because newbies don't have knowledge on investing in new projects, they don't have the skills to spot a possible scam project, they are very easy to fool by those who look promising but in the end, it will become a scam project. Probably for a newbie, just stay away from it, there are too many factors that will probably newbie fall into the trap, they are very easy to get FUD too. I rather stick to the safest one, investing in BTC and the top altcoins on CMC is the right choice for a newbie.

As a newbie in this market, it is indeed not advisable to jump into new projects promising high returns.
This is where scammers are banking, gullible users that will blindly send their hard-earned money for the hope of high profits.
So if you are new here and don't know where to invest, better start with btc, at least this top coin won't scam you.
It may go up and down, but that's it. It is up to you how you will strategize to optimize your profits.
But once you got good grasp of this market, you can very well explore your opportunities in other projects.
