1881  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Gas sales to China dries up as Ukraine war halts Energy trade on: June 25, 2022, 10:45:43 PM
Russia is a major player in the world economic system. It would be very difficult to displace them in the global oil and gas market. They produce oil and gas at a very cheap rate and can sell them at a discounted price. China is also a big global economic player that cannot be sanctioned for their transactions with Russia. China and India would keep doing business with Russia and there is nothing US and its allies would do about it. Even smaller countries are still buying cheap oil and gas from Russia secretly. For now it seems the sanctions on Russia is having more negative impact on Europe and US than the sanctioned nation.

With this situation, I can't blame those countries who are still buying gas from Russia.
Because for some of these countries, they are only thinking about the welfare of their people.
So if they can buy oil and gas at a discounted rate, why not? And if it is relatively near their jurisdiction, they would definitely buy from Russia.
Just think that a lot of countries globally have increased their fuel prices, and most of their people can't cope up with this price increase.
Most haven't recovered yet from this pandemic crisis and now, people are experiencing this bloated gas prices.
So for me, you can't blame these countries secretly buying from Russia's oil and gas.
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 25, 2022, 10:03:19 PM
Yes, the value of cryptocurrency won't affect you if you're an old-time gambler because you already know how to deal with it. Old gamblers focus on playing and not on the volatility of cryptocurrencies unlike traders and investors because we focus on winning here regardless of the current market situation.
True, this will not affect if it is just a gambler but if you look at what is happening here most of those who gamble apart from being gamblers they are also traders or crypto investors which when something like this is happening now indirectly this will become Thought for them not all are like that but for the most part it will probably do.

Generally speaking, gamblers will always gamble no matter what the market situation is.
They may reduce their spending habits but they will continue to play.
For those who are also traders, they will know what alts to use in order to lessen their losses.
But for the most part of it, gamblers won't stop just because the value of bitcoin declines in the market.
1883  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CatChange.me Exchange Crypto to Fiat and vice versa on: June 24, 2022, 11:56:11 PM
I checked the website it doesn't even have a privacy policy for their customers and the chat box asking for email and phone number you must change it to name only. What I see here is that you are collecting data, phone numbers, and emails and later get spammed with your website?

First of all, disable that floating square effect, that thing is good for a kids toystore website, not for an exchange, 10 seconds and it's already annoying.

It's fun when clicking anywhere on the website I spend 15 minutes playing the square effect. Cheesy

They need to change their requirements here, otherwise, I don't think they can get more traders on their platform.
As they are competing with large exchanges like binance, which their p2p services also in terms of fiat,
would be hard to earn their reputation in the early days of their business operations.
And can the OP link the positive reviews that they are saying on their website?
1884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 24, 2022, 11:31:22 PM
How do you feel when the bear market is happening and do you hate it?. Every time a bearmarket happens, I always have valuable lessons that the bull market doesn't have. So always be grateful when the market goes down, it gives us many lessons, lessons about emotions, lessons about capital management, trust and patience.

The bear market is not the end but the beginning of a new and better start, the bear market is a measure of our confidence in the market. Worthy rewards will only come to those who truly believe in the market.
Many of us expect the bear market to continue, to the point of running out of $5000, a real opportunity in sight, for that there is no hate to see a bear market, trading always has ups and downs, Bitcoin everyone's hope, I see a lot of news lately about Bitcoin, all the ways and efforts people take to buy Bitcoin.

I don't think we will go down to that level, but anyway, everything is possible.
If btc will go down to $5k, do you think many will buy or some are still hesitant because they are thinking that the market is very fragile and not worth taking the risk?
In this market, we have our own decisions to take, and for a lot of long-time holders, if that level happens, for sure they will buy more.
But for newbies, I believe, they will be scared of touching the market as it is like unfamiliar territory for them.
1885  Economy / Gambling / Re: 8bethub - Innovative, enhanced and fair Dice gambling experience (bonus soon) on: June 24, 2022, 10:35:42 PM
Promos and instant withdrawal. Do you require also KYC?
I have never seen a casino that has restricted countries and doesn't ask about KYC at certain instances. They don't have a clear KYC/AML policy. Maybe OP should clear the air about this because they mention nothing about KYC in their terms of service.

As they have no gambling license yet, I don't think it is fair for them to ask KYC from their players.
They also don't mention about it in their FAQ, so for now, I believe they are not requiring KYC.
Unless, maybe, if you win big, that's when they usually starts asking other details.
The site is just starting, so we will see other progress in the coming days.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 24, 2022, 09:39:32 PM
Maybe it does have an influence, but of course you can never really prove this. It depends a bit on the behavior of a gambler. And whether you actively use the coins in your gambling account or do little with them. Someone who has a lot of coins in his gambling account will be disappointed that the value has gone down, but he will also understand and realize that it is only a matter of time before the crypto starts to rise in value again. If you keep playing with patience you don't have to make ill-considered decisions I think.

If you have access to the internal statistics of the casino, then it is easy to prove the presence (or absence) of a connection. The behavior of one player does not mean anything, but if we have statistics about thousands, then this is the exact pattern of behavior. It is enough to look at their behavior on the market dump, on the pump and on the flat - then it will be clear how the market situation affects their behavior.

That kind of stats, the gambling site itself will know about the pattern.
But us, being the players, I don't think we can have clear understanding what's going on.
We can just speculate during this period, but we know that if you are a gambler, you will play no matter what the situation is.
But you may increase or decrease your spending depending on the availability of your funds.
Or if you have other things that you need to take care of. But mostly, gamblers will play in any kind of market.
1887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 23, 2022, 11:43:32 PM
Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

1. Yes, of course. It depends on what type of gambler that person is. There's a responsible and irresponsible gambler. Regardless of how addictive they are, if they are doing their best in their work, everything will be fine on the business side.

2. Why should we limit them especially if that's their expertise? As long as they will remain responsible all the way, there should be no problem.

Choosing the person, of course, should be personally known to you as you know them more than everyone.

There are gamblers that know their limits and know to keep their responsibilities separate from their habits.
However, they are also subject to temptation, depending on their desire to gamble.
We can always give them a chance but in case they bend their protocols once, then, think of the worst possible situation.
Better be cautious with things rather than regretting late. Definitely, they can be trusted but depends on their personality himself.
1888  Economy / Gambling / Re: GXGBet.com | GXGCoin.io - Leading DeFi Gaming Site Needs You 😎 on: June 23, 2022, 10:53:56 PM
Since this casino has to lunch its signature campaign, it shows to a large extent how willing they are to maintain an active presence in this forum. I have gone through the site and I must say am one fan of web3 casinos since their the casino that brings in the real defi experience.
Keep it up team and have a great time around.

We will see in the next coming days how they will treat their players on site.
Since they are running their own sig campaign, they may be serious in reaching out potential users from the forum.
Everyone has their chance to show their worth, so let us see if they can keep their players happy in the long run.
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 23, 2022, 10:09:53 PM
-snip-
So what do you think about the news? Do you think it will lower the price of bitcoin again in the near future?

China is too bad at the moment about how they should make FUD in the crypto market. They don't like decentralization so they have to fight it, but what are the benefits? Nothing, they will just do it and keep doing it and so on until the crypto community truly believes that China is the biggest liar in the crypto world.

Somehow I feel China is just going against the grain regarding the growth of crypto in the world. This was absolutely ridiculous, but it would make weak hands tremble.

We have seen in the past years that China not being friendly towards crypto market.
Remember, when they banned their miners? But despite of that situation, btc continues to survive.
It may have a slight impact on that period but afterwards, it is like the same.
So in that scenario, we have seen that China not participating in this market is no big deal anymore.
I believe that even if they warn btc heading to zero, just ignore it because it won't happen.
1890  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 is quite possible this week on: June 22, 2022, 11:13:17 PM
I guess the dump is finally over, bitcoin is already over $20k now, and it is consistently recovering.

Bitcoin reached $21k already today, and this is a good sign that bitcoin will not dump below $20k anymore.
The opportunity was there, if we fail to accumulate, we might miss the opportunity to make a short-term profit.

In order for bitcoin to convince people that it's back bullish, it should break $30k soon because that's a big milestone for a new success after a hard dump.
I wouldn't say it is "over" but at the end of the day we would never know. Has it recovered? Yes it has recovered a bit and the price is higher right now, and that is a great thing but it has "recovered", doesn't mean that it can't get lower again as well which is the biggest problem.

This means that we are going to be living in a situation where it is unknown until it happens, so the price could stay above 20k and go to 30k slowly and then even higher, or it could suddenly crash again and drop to a new low level, which is a big problem. I am really not sure what is going to happen but just like the typical of me, I will just hold and do nothing else.

Actually, we are always living in unknown market here ever since.
Because even before, no one really has the power to predict the exact future of this market.
So as the market seems to be very inconsistent, you can just observe and act on what you think is favorable on your part.
$13k is very possible, so at that point, you should know what to do, either buy more or hold off.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 10:15:26 PM
Although it's not moral, due to the inequity, it would be profitable to bet on transgender athtletes when competing against women. But to bet in transgender category matches is tricky like any other category, because they are playing from equal to equal. I don't know how is the demand of the public for transgender matches right now, but I have the impression it's not so popular at a point sportsbook would introduce those matches in quantity.

In fact, I only got aware about transgender athletes because they punched women so hard, that they became popular over the whole internet quite fast through the public's indignation.

I doubt that such a possibility ever existed, since it is unlikely that bookmakers are so stupid as not to understand that a man who calls himself a woman is much stronger than real women.
In fact, you can bet on anything (even transgender competitions among themselves), the only question is whether it is profitable or not. I do not see any arguments in favor of the fact that it will be more profitable than betting on regular competitions.

This will be profitable in my opinion, if in case, you are very familiar with those athletes.
If you know their strengths and their performance level, I do think that's your advantage if you do bet on them.
I don't see anything wrong betting on their events. I treat it as just another regular sporting events.
It is up to you how you will see them as athletes. But should not look them differently, in my opinion.
1892  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 22, 2022, 09:24:23 PM
Many crypto casinos don't require KYC, but they aren't among the most popular sites, consequently I can't say with assurance how safe and legit it is to play on them, except freebitco.in that is constantly active on this forum, runs a signature campaign, is working since 2013 without issues and has millions of users on the website.
It makes me believe it might be a good option for you, although there isn't variety of games and the house edge is superior to another gambling sites. You may take advantage of the promotions that are launched every few days, though. Check their twitter for recent updates.

That was indeed the case in the past, when you could gamble at almost every crypto casino without complying with the KYC rules. Unfortunately, the rules are now stricter. I think you can only get out of KYC if you join a betting site based in Costa Rica. If you play at Curacao, Malta or UK commission you can set your own schedule to be subject to the KYC sooner or later. But, there are exceptions of course for gambling sites that do not ask this.
Basing on the current situation here on crypto gambling space then majority of sites or platforms doesn't really ask out for some verification aside from Roobet or others which do ask out some light kyc but still not really that appealing for most people who do really value anonymity but basing on the number of sites available today then we could still have lots of options to take but expect those things in upcoming years where everything will be more strict since these platforms are centralized.

Yes, I do notice that even if some of these casinos have Curacao gaming license or other gambling license, they are not very strict of requiring KYC.
However, as a gambler, particularly those high rollers, you should expect that the casino may ask KYC any time.
So before you enter your details, make sure those information are the same with your valid ID, if in case the site will ask in the future.
Because if not, that may cause trouble on your part. And you may not get your funds, if there's any, if your info submitted doesn't match with your valid ID submitted.
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: June 21, 2022, 10:12:02 PM
How is the "investment" underwater if they haven't yet sold any Bitcoins they bought?

In fact, at some point during the bear market, I predict El-Salvador may stack more Bitcoin at a discount. It takes time, but the good benefits will finally get to them.

This is what I am thinking also. They are not losing if they are not selling in this market.
Who knows, the last laugh will be El Salvador? So don't judge this early, because we have a lot of years coming by.
For one, this is not the end of crypto by any means. This is just another challenge in this market.
In no time, I believe, we will see this market in a very good position again. But we need to be patient on this market.
And sooner or later, yes, we may read it again in the news, that during this bear market, El Salvador got a hold of more bitcoins.
1894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why your alt didn't dump as much on: June 20, 2022, 09:59:09 PM
I don't know if I'm the only one who is lost here, following OP as they didn't list the alt they're hodling which didn't dump. From what I've seen on crypto sites and my portfolio, alts dumped seriously. Except OP is referring to stablecoins, otherwise alts dumped. They're likely to dump even more in days to come as I believe Bitcoin isn't yet done with its correction. We know whenever Bitcoin goes down, it drags alts with it.

Of course, if you are talking about stablecoin, it won't really go down.
This is why it is stablecoin, if it will go down hard, then, something is wrong with your stablecoin.
And that was like what happened in LUNA.

The OP haven't mentioned the specific alt so we have no idea why that alt has not lost much.
But in this market, the decline is really very subjective as there are so many factors involve.
Not only the current situation but the activities of the team themselves.
Are you going to expect the coin will progress if the team is slow in their deliverables? Nope.

ZHB888 you should consider purchasing copper membership in forum to be able to post and update image links in your ANN topic.
I visited your website that is loading slower for me and everything is written in Chinese language.
Is it possible to make website automatic set language to English or other depending on user IP address?

And you can't find a tab to convert the site into english, as it is in Chinese, if you are using laptop.
You are right, it should change automatic to english if it detects IP outside their country.
Also, I thought crypto is prohibited in China, and this site is using USDT.
Is this legit?  Just wondering if their business is legally registered in China.
1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: More than 5 WBTC (BTC) was stolen from my Metamask wallet!!! on: June 20, 2022, 09:14:27 PM
That's a lot and sorry for your loss.

It's not really a good storage to keep your money on a metamask. A small amount would do but having that sums of money, it should have been into a hardware wallet. You should have swapped it into actual btc and not wrapped so that you'll be forced to keep it onto a hardware wallet.

The cause might be that software you've downloaded prior to the hack and whether you use mac os or windows, there has been a lot of hijackers in different app marketplaces.

I think, it is not the metamask itself that failed the security here.
The OP mentioned about installing a software application and at the same time expiring his norton security subscription.
So that case, he was very vulnerable to outside attacks. And how did hackers know about his large crypto funds?
It may be someone that knew him from social media channels, and that they knew he is into crypto with good amount of coins.
Because we don't know the whole story, the hackers may know the OP for all we know.
So aside from securing your funds in your own hardware wallet, make sure you don't disclose your crypto activities in social media.
1897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How crypto giant Binance became a hub for hackers fraudsters & drug traffickers on: June 20, 2022, 08:47:59 PM
It seems like someone has a big hate on binance on why they are trying to discredit it lately. This negative news towards binance isn't alone but there's also one that I read last time though it's more on bnb but still we all know that binance owns that coin. While this news here looks normal because binance is the biggest and the most known exchange.

It is easy to trade big amounts here, no wonder why it is being preferred by the criminals that stoles bigger amounts but being the biggest should also mean that they are much stricter and their security is more stronger than most of the crypto exchangers so how come those criminals can get in and out of this exchange easily? Hhmm that's the big question there.

As they have compulsory KYC in binance at all levels of traders,
maybe these individuals who are into illegal activities are using some kind of emissaries.
You know, people with good records and all. They can use a lot of people that are willing to submit KYC in the platform.
So for me, they can go around this KYC requirement because some may not really be using their own info.
But rather, asking different people to do their trading. And they can distribute it so it won't give an alarm.
This is why, it is good that binance is already asking KYC for all users, maybe, to protect also the platform and to comply the government regulations.
1898  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: June 20, 2022, 08:13:56 PM
@Mahdirakib
I have started checking and updating the new withdrawal fees and amounts because of the latest price crash. I came to Flush and remembered that we came to the conclusion that the minimum withdrawable sum was the equivalent of $20 in Bitcoin + an additional 0.00008 BTC, which is the fee. But that might have changed because they currently allow players to withdraw a minimum of 0.00082004 BTC. That's around $16-17 with the current BTC value. Maybe the withdrawal amounts don't update that regularly and it will take a few days until the next one hence the current difference.

@Pmalek, I noticed that the price are already updated with the current market price.
However, I believe you forgot to change your update date.
It says - *Last updated on 03 March 2022
Maybe, you can edit it to when you update this month. Thanks.
I just hope casinos won't increase their fees because of this crash.

Your aerospace and robotics goals are great but do you have private backing for this project?
Because if you are depending in public sale is quite difficult these days.
You need to find serious investors if you do really want to move forward.
People will be interested with giveaways and other promos, but then what?
And one more thing, will the team members disclose their identity?
After all, they will be exploring the world of aerospace and robotics.
1900  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 20, 2022, 07:09:27 PM
The other day I heard sad news from my friend that he is borrowing from various sources from relatives and now cannot pay. Even though he has also been in this market for many years, I feel the temptation of money and wealth is scary. For many people, there is no end to the satisfaction with what they earn and then fall into financial debt. For me, the balance in life as well as investments requires thinking more carefully when you act. It will affect your life as well as your family's. Through that friend's story, I also hope many of us also need to re-evaluate what we are doing with this market.
It's a pity, that people borrow money to invest in the crypto market so that they can maximize their profit. Although no one knows what will be the next move of the market. But still, they invest money on the basis that "they think the market is going is ready to go upward" doing so is very wrong.

Put only that much funds which you afford to lose/whiling to risk on. So that if the market goes in the opposite direction even then your life should not have negative effects.

People will learn their lessons fast if they go the route of borrowing money for this market.
Because in lending, there are terms to follow, and if you can't meet, there will be other penalties.
As this market is very volatile and unpredictable, it is hard to know if you will be in profit by the time you need to pay your dues.
So if you do really want to invest here, better use your own money. You will be in deep trouble if you will loan money from others.
