281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC to Bitcoin ETFs - The ownership are shifting to centralized ownership on: February 14, 2024, 09:22:01 PM
ETF for those who aren't technically familiar with Bitcoin and don't want to purchase Bitcoin from the market they trade on ETF. They don't have control over Bitcoin. It's something like centralised exchanges where we don't have control over the funds. So even if we want, we can't ignore the centralization of bitcoin trading. Unless we are holding bitcoin in our non-custodial wallet, we aren't the owners of that bitcoin. So using centralised exchanges or an ETF broker is almost the same. The only good thing about ETFs is that we are getting new investors.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Bitcoin bull market? on: February 14, 2024, 09:14:05 PM
Anyone related to crypto, Almost everyone is familiar with the bull market. A bull market occurs when there are significant uptrends in price movements and continuous uptrends in price. There would be a dump as well, but compared with the pump, the dump would be too small. However, you need to spend more time on the forum to understand everything related to the bull market and other things related to crypto. Suddenly, you can't understand everything from here. I just try to explain in a simple way.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Bitcoin catch up with Gold in capitalization? on: February 14, 2024, 09:05:12 PM
Why do you want to compare Bitcoin capitalization with gold capitalization exactly? Before you ask this question, you should keep in mind that bitcoin and gold aren't the same thing. Gold has been mined continuously, and there are no limits. But Bitcoin has a limit; some days it will be ended. Gold is from nature, and it won't end. So gold capitalization will increase day by day. Though Bitcoin capitalization has also been increasing, it depends on price movements only. So we can't forecast when Bitcoin could surpass gold capitalization.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 14, 2024, 08:54:51 PM
I usually don't ask people how much their salary is or how much they earn. I don't feel comfortable asking anyone because, for myself, I don't want to share my financial portfolio. So for crypto, I don't ask how much you hold or how much you have been earning. Just ask if they are introduced to crypto and how they may grow their portfolio. Two days ago, I met with new crypto users. I just advised them how they might increase their portfolio. I also prefer something to hold, which includes Bitcoin. I never shared my holdings, nor did I ask them about their portfolio.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wight is not Satoshi Nakamoto, said the real Satoshi Nakamoto in a tweet on: February 13, 2024, 07:15:59 PM
Do we need more jokes? One faketoshi is calling another faketoshi. We don't need more drama. A brand new account won't claim to be Satoshi without any legal proof. This is just an unrealistic joke. The community won't accept such jokes anymore. However, we don't need to search Satoshi because Bitcoin is an open-source decentralised cryptocurrency and anyone can contribute to it. So for what do we need to search for Satoshi? If he reveals himself someday, he can just influence Bitcoin and nothing else.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: February 12, 2024, 08:54:13 PM
They are centralised p2p exchanges. I haven't used them, but I am familiar with most of them. I found some new names, like Phemex, and I have no idea about them. Rests aren't direct scams unless third parties scam you with fake payment screenshots. They all need KYC, of course, to use their P2P service. I use Binance for p2p exchanges for my local currency. I never faced any issues there, and I don't feel Binance is a scam. But you must verify your KYC. If you care about your privacy, then you have to avoid centralised exchanges.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TOUCHED $50K TODAY. BULL RUN IS HERE? on: February 12, 2024, 08:47:06 PM
Which price range suits the bull run, according to you? For me, when we surpass the $40K zone, I believe we are in the bull zone. Today, Bitcoin crossed $50K and is still growing. So overall, Bitcoin is on a bull trend. Don't expect to break previous ATHs over the night. It takes time to build Bitcoin. I am not sure yet if this is real bull or fake. But most likely, we will see a dump before the halving. Whales would create a panic to accumulate more bitcoin since halving is very near.
288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn from other person's mistakes on: February 12, 2024, 08:39:26 PM
Only one rule can save a lot of users: don't be greedy. Due to greed, a lot of users lost their funds. Hackers usually can't hack unless you help them directly or indirectly. I know we have been making these types of mistakes unconsciously. But greed is responsible for these types of stories. You are authorising random sites to access your wallet just for a few pennies. Almost 99% of airdrops are just scams. Nothing is except a waste of your valuable time, and sometimes you are losing funds this way. So you must control your greed first. And your task wallet should always be separate from your main portfolio wallet. If your wallet is empty, you can connect anywhere. Just make sure you create a new wallet for each task; it doesn't cost you anything.

290  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is rabbit.io is the best way to swap crypto on: February 12, 2024, 08:07:47 PM
This is the first time I've heard of rabbit wallets. Even though everything is good, I don't advise storing funds in a web wallet. Even I discourage you from using a blockchain wallet to store your funds. You may use it for swaps or whatever you want. For storage, I always advise using a hardware wallet. It's very important to secure your hard-earned money. Nowadays, hardware wallets aren't too costly. But always make sure your seed packets are stored in secure places. Otherwise, you might lose everything.
291  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cannot convert my ltc to usdt on: February 11, 2024, 07:55:56 PM
First of all, you need to move this thread from the Bitcoin discussion board to the Altcoin discussion board.
It supposed to move it to exchanges board. Why? You can understand that from this quote:

So all the exchanges have that 5 minimum dollar rule?
Oh, yes. Probably you are right. Thread would be better suited for the Exchange section. However, I reported the thread a while ago. I hope moderators will handle it and move this thread into the right section.

Still, I will advise holding the funds until they meet the requirements, because withdrawal fees would be an issue if OP wanted to transfer to another exchange.
292  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Virtual cards - Transform Your Cryptocurrency with PayWithUs! on: February 11, 2024, 07:47:24 PM
Hi guys! thank you for interest to our service.

Definitely "withdrawing cash from ATMs worldwide " - this is mistake, and we already deleted this from our website.  We are ready to upload 30 usd to couple of you to make tests and tell other people about your experience.

Doesn't it prove you just copied content from somewhere else? This isn't a good sign for your business, even though it's legit. Because posting the wrong information, which is impossible, raises questions about your legitimacy. However, this isn't the right place to post your announcement. This section sells or buys services through Bitcoin. You should make a professional, official announcement on the Service Announcement board. Make a proper decision or hire someone to do this on your behalf.
293  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cannot convert my ltc to usdt on: February 11, 2024, 07:34:29 PM
First of all, you need to move this thread from the Bitcoin discussion board to the Altcoin discussion board. Because your thread is related to altcoin, not bitcoin. Yes, every exchange has a limit for exchange, so you can't exchange your LTC unless you meet the requirements. Even I don't believe you can exchange it through P2P. I don't know how you got this amount in exchange. You can buy some more and convert it to USDT. Then you may sell your funds above $2. But I think it will consume more fees to do this. Better wait for an increase in the LTC price and sell when it meets the requirements.
294  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RedotPay Crypto Virtual Card & Pysical card. on: February 11, 2024, 07:18:58 PM
Nice!

Please update us.
Finally, I used my RedotPay physical card for ATM withdrawals yesterday. I was so excited to withdraw crypto from the ATM directly, and everything went smoothly as expected. Though exchange rates are a bit lower than bank rates, they don't show the transaction fees separately. So I think that's why the exchange rate has become a bit lower. But it doesn't matter for me; the difference is too small in my native country. The matter is that I can withdraw crypto directly through RedotPay. I don't need to use exchange or P2P now and can liquidate my crypto anytime worldwide. The thing is, you just need to verify KYC, but the process is very simple. I am excited and satisfied.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cashless Socity and Contribution of Bitcoin! on: February 10, 2024, 09:11:31 PM
To be realistic Bitcoin isn't helpful for cashless payment systems right now, and it won't be. Due to high transaction fees and long waiting times, merchants won't accept Bitcoin payments. But the traditional cashless system worked instantly and with no fee. In my country, the Mobile Finance System (MFS) has become most popular. You don't need to carry cash, and every shop now offers an MFS payment system. The fees are too low compared to bitcoin. Bitcoin would help the P2P global payment system. I don't imagine Bitcoin would be used like cashless payments everywhere unless it solved transaction problems.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it have positive/negative on bitcoin development? on: February 10, 2024, 09:03:54 PM
How can Bitcoin collapse if satoshi is arrested?
Bitcoin is doing well without his presence and satoshi can't fully influence it, If there is no acceptance to the changes in this source code it would end up like a fork.
It's pretty simple: the community would be broken when Satoshi arrest for some reasons. As a result, Bitcoin would collapse. I am not saying it will vanish, but that will impact Bitcoin massively. Let's say Satoshi just revealed himself and will not be arrested. Then he can influence Bitcoin directly. Imagine that Elon isn't Doge's creator, but he can influence Doge. So Satoshi is more powerful than Elon. It will definitely impact Bitcoin based on the Satoshi Movement.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: February 10, 2024, 08:55:50 PM
You are a beginner, so just start accumulating bitcoin. Since you can't buy Bitcoin at once, the best strategy is DCA. It means just accumulating bitcoin every month from your savings and holding it. For holding, you should use a non-custodial wallet like Electrum instead of storing your funds on centralised exchanges. I prefer Electrum because you just started your journey. But when you can afford it, just buy a hardware wallet to store your cryptocurrency. Whatever wallet you use, you must secure your seed phrase. Otherwise, you would lose everything.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it have positive/negative on bitcoin development? on: February 10, 2024, 08:47:35 PM
Anyone who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto without proof is just a joke. A few people claimed yet to be Satoshi Nakamoto, and eventually they failed to prove it. Most likely, there will be a negative impact if Satoshi Nakamoto discloses himself. He might be arrested, and Bitcoin would collapse. Though Bitcoin code is open source and decentralised, the real creator could influence it if he wanted, which would have an effect like centralization.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: AI-generated fake IDs claimed to pass crypto exchange KYC are selling for $15 on: February 09, 2024, 09:09:06 PM
It's a matter of concern now how accurate the verification process is. How is the provider verifying identification without proper investigation? Fake means their data isn't stored with official authorities. When it is submitted for verification, it should be detected by KYC verification providers. Usually, exchanges use a third-party KYC verification system. If the KYC verification system becomes broken, then scams will rise again. Most scammers will use it and find smart ways to scam. So exchange should enhance the verification system.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Limitations or scalability issues with the Bitcoin network on: February 09, 2024, 08:57:51 PM
I admit the transaction issues arise due to limitations, and transaction fees become high when the network is congested. But the environmental issue was just raised by haters. There are a lot of power consumption sectors where no one is talking, even though they pollute the environment. But they talk about Bitcoin, which uses less power and causes less environmental pollution. However, it would be solved by using renewable power sources, which is happening. But developers should find a solution for the transaction issue outside of the lightning network. Due to the complex system, not many consumers want to use the Bitcoin lightning network.
