281  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] Scam Accusation Cases Against Casino Platform on The Forum on: January 16, 2024, 05:27:16 PM
Thank you, this is a very helpful list.

2 weeks ago, Peeps Place made this Complete list of Crypto Casino and Sportsbook Scam Accusations which is helpful too but honestly, your list is more helpful with more information and better format.

Both threads are helpful and hope you two will continue to update your lists.

Welcome to Casino Review, Odds comparison, Provably Fair Verifiers, Bots

I locked my thread. holydarkness is doing a much better job and I did ask him to take over.

The new thread, List Scam Accusation Cases Against Casino Platform on The Forum, is on. I publish it on reputation board because I think it fits there better, being a topic for casinos' "reputation" rather than an accusation against them.

I previously left out betby as they'ra a provider and, being an only case, they fit nowhere on the table. But with above post about Spribe, I'll now make a section about provider, moving this case of Orbital into it and change the status accordingly.

You can lock this thread if you want to.

Will do. Thanks for taking over since you're doing a much better job than I did.

Hi Guys,

Great article here from Bitcoin.com

I mean if you dispute Bitcoin.com, you shouldn't really be on this forum.

1 main point, the customer asked to NOT have the amount paid in one go..

reason: people will try to track down the transaction and eventually try to get to his wallet/chase him up. (exactly what PP went and did, so customer was right)

So out of respect to the customers wishes, we paid him out in many differing amounts so people could NOT follow the transactions.

Steve.
Sportsbet.io

Previously I thought Sportsbet was sufficient to prove the truth of the news about its user's winnings worth $42 million USD by showing proof of prize payment transactions.
(TX Hash), However, after you explain the reason, which is apart from the winner's request, it is also for security reasons, this makes us understand why you cannot show proof of the prize payment transaction worth $42 million USD.

Hi,

Yes. this is correct.

We hear stories a million times over about people winning lottery and then 4 years later are almost bankrupt. This is due to some generous people being taken advantage of when they come across some money.

So our customer has made a good decision here to keep private details to himself.

The customer has also declined a meet up at one of our sponsored events (Southampton, Newcastle) etc etc as he would like to spend time working on his newly formed future!

All the best to him, and we thank him for his custom at sportsbet.io

(It's impossible to have a microgaming account as a customer, its impossible to have a Global Games account, it is only possible to deposit and play at a given sportsbook.. That sportsbook was us, and we took the deposit, we took the action, and we paid out the winnings.)

Well Played SIR!

regards,

Steve.

Adequately put into perspective, Steve.

Of course it's impossible to have a Global Games account. Many casinos chip into the pot and give the money to Global Games. Global Games takes that money plus their own €2 million and pays the player in one lump sum without exception.

@Steve you can't pay the money since you don't hold the money.

The progressive jackpot doesn't come from just money lost at Sportsbet. Player's didn't lose €38,461,200.95 at Sportsbet. Global Games starts the pot off with €2 million. Then with play at Sportsbet and many other casinos, money is added to the pot. When a player wins the jackpot at Sportsbet or any other casino in the WowPot network, Global Games pays out the €2 million plus the money collected from all the casinos involved. Sportsbet has nothing to do with paying the player. Sportsbet doesn't hold the €38,461,200.95. Since Sportsbet isn't holding the money they aren't paying out USDT in installments as is being claimed. Global Games has all the money collected and they paid it out.

Sportsbet isn't paying the jackpot. Games Global paid it €38,461,200.95. https://www.btcgosu.com/blog/news/record-breaking-wowpot-jackpot-e38-46-million-payout/

@SirArsene . Send me a PM with your account # and permission to look into your account. I'll contact them on your behalf.

Sportsbet downgraded to "D+"

Sportsbet is stating that they are paying out a WowPot of $42,000,000 USDT in installment payments. Games Global is claiming to have paid €38,461,200.95 on that same jackpot. https://www.btcgosu.com/blog/news/record-breaking-wowpot-jackpot-e38-46-million-payout/

Sportsbet is stating that the player is being paid in USDT installments at the player's request. "1 main point, the customer asked to NOT have the amount paid in one go.." Microgaming states, "Updated: January 4, 2024
Are Microgaming Jackpots Paid in Full? Without exception, jackpots won at Microgaming slots are paid out in full" and "Winners of a progressive jackpot receive a lump sum." Since Sportbet isn't holding the money, it's impossible for them to be paying the player.

The press releases being sent out by Sportsbet.io are making it look as though Sportsbet.io is paying the player in USDT. The player did win the jackpot by playing a slot at Sportsbet that is part of a progressive jackpot with machines located in many casinos. These are Microgaming slots.

After the Sportbets claims of paying $42m USDT, I decided to revisit the complaints against Sportsbet. The latest Trust Pilot report on Sportsbet on January 13, 2024 states that the player's deposits have been confiscated https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sportsbet.io. Sportsbet ToS says that they may confiscate money due to inactivity. Most ToS do state that they can confiscate or charge interest. The thing is that Sportsbet invokes these rules and most other casinos don't invoke these rules.

There are many complaints against Sportsbet where Sportsbet is confiscating money for claims of double spending and having multiple accounts. Sportsbet refuses to supply proof of these claims. In the past I've tried to just ignore complaints when I was unsure of the party in the right. When Sportsbet doesn't supply proof of why they made a confiscation, I'll no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. Some of the confiscations are for small amounts such as the $250 confiscation for a claimed attempt at a double spend. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5435667.0 To reinforce, having a rule in the ToS is different from invoking a rule in the ToS. If these claims were taken to a court of law, some of those provisions in the ToS would be thrown out. No court is going to allow a company to steal deposits.

Without exception, jackpots won at Microgaming slots are paid out in full. Even though there are some operators that stipulate the winnings above a specific amount to be paid in installments, this doesn’t apply for wins at progressive slots part of the Microgaming network. 291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Stake playing fair? What about others? Where is the line of trust here? on: January 12, 2024, 11:37:57 PM
Then hats off to SportsBet for that, at least one thing is genuine & it's good to know that.  Grin
Hats off.
Now we can come back on topic, that is Stake casino right?

One of the worst things with crypto casinos are fake experts with their rating lists of recommended casinos.
I heard from several trusted sources that you can get very high on those lists if you pay money to grease everything with coins.
That is why I always ignore those lists and people who made them.

That's the go to argument made by people that don't like the ratings. Very weak in my opinion since they have no reason or thought behind it. Same accusations are made in this sub-forum. That guys are on the take. The people using that argument don't realize that there are some honest people in the world that just like to do the right thing.

292  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 12, 2024, 10:57:39 PM
I'm not wrong.
I was wrong. The jackpot is genuine. I was searching Sportsbet and the blockchain. Nothing came up so I originally thought it was fake. I kept looking and searched WowPot and then found out it was real. Games Global paid in euros.

No comment  Grin

Go read scam accusations. I searched Sportsbet and nothing came up. Steve implied there was an USDT transaction. There's no transaction. I then said the jackpot must be fake. I kept looking and found a WowPot paid out in euros. Sportsbet wasn't mentioned. Then I corrected my statement and said the jackpot is real and it was paid by Games Global. Go to another thread if you want to continue. Scams or my thread since you guys keep bringing quotes from those threads.

This was my original review of Sportsbet a couple a years ago.

Sportsbet.io rating and review.

Opened: 2016
License: Curacao 1668/JAZ sub-license.
Currencies: Crypto and Fiat.
Banned countries: USA, UK, Australia, Estonia, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Afghanistan, Korea, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, Trinidad and Tobago, Yemen.

Sportsbet is a big book with sponsorships of major soccer clubs. There are many betting options both pregame and live. Sportsbet is very popular here at bitcointalk.

The betting margins at Sportsbet are high. You won't find the best line on either side. There have been many complaints against Sportsbet but that comes with the territory of any good sized sportsbook. Most of the time that comes from disgruntled players but there may have been times where Sportsbet was incorrect. Many complaints have been posted where it was a he said, she said situation. A sportsbook needs to have solid proof of any infractions claimed. There are times when Sportsbet has provided no proof which makes it difficult to determine right or wrong. Sportsbet has confiscated both deposits and winnings. At other times they have just confiscated deposits. KYC has been asked for before these confiscations. Playing from a banned country will lead to a confiscation.

There are some other worrisome things concerning Sportsbet. It's a normal practice to require a one time rollover on deposits but Sportsbet has a rule of a 5x rollover if they suspect money laundering. If an account is inactive for 3 months, Sportsbet will send out a letter informing the player. One month after the letter, Sportsbet can charge a fee of 15% per month fee for administrative costs. In one section it states that Sportsbet may confiscate the balance after 180 days of inactivity. In another section it states one year. I don't know if the rules above have been invoked.

For the purposes of ratings, "A" and "B" books are recommended. There normally isn't any problems playing at a "C" book. "D" and "F" books should be avoided at all costs.

Sportsbet opens with a rating of "C".
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 12, 2024, 10:04:43 PM
Their director also invited him to their HQ to treat him exclusively which is a good gesture from their side.
Before this they invited other forum members as a VIP guests so many times in Beers with Steve, there are many evidence for that.

Agree with you. The player won through Sportsbet and it’s a great gesture on Sportsbet’s part to celebrate with the player.
Finally you admitted that you are wrong and that you did a lousy research.
Now you also need to correct C- low rating for Sportsbet in your list, and sorry for having to say that I don't agree with most of your ratings.  Tongue

I'm not wrong. I don't know why you want to argue but since you do, truth be told, Steve lied. Sportsbet scams posters by stealing winnings and deposits and it's a common occurrence. Close to once every two weeks at Trust Pilot and many times here. They have the lowest Trust Pilot score that I've ever seen at 1.7 with 75% giving a rating of 1. 1xbet is 2.1. Sportsbet refuses to show proof why they confiscate winnings. If you are going to ban a player, return his winnings and deposits. I have no problem with that. Sportsbet is one of the few that doesn't return money. Just let it go or bring it to scam accusations or my thread and we can talk facts without slinging mud. I tried to squash it here by praising Sportsbet for the party.

294  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 12, 2024, 09:16:17 PM
Just a warning in case it prevents someone from falling into this shitty scheme.

I was checking a crypto-casino with very easy entry just asking email and country, and allowed deposits in the main cryptos. I didn't need to deposit anything to realize that to withdraw funds they did require a complete KYC with ID, etc. I also tested registering from a banned country and even indicating it on the form, and it does not prevent you from making a deposit.

I guess I stated the obvious, but I don't see the point for gamblers in using this.
Care to share the casino? Usually, KYC requirements are indicated on their ToS, not on their registration page. It usually scares away users after all and isn't really that advertising-friendly if they added it there.

Registering from a banned country is allowed, and usually passes through for the first few days but once they check the accounts, they still usually get banned. They also need to cross-check for VPN usage as well. It's why you see so many people complaining about getting banned after a few days of playing. Plus, if they let you play on your own and then suddenly ban you, it's free money for them.
Some casinos like Stake do this, and while I personally have no qualms about this type of KYC mechanic I can see why people are disappointed with this kind of setup. You go there, log in and play a couple games thinking that the casino will let you off the hook since it didn't ask for your identifiable details when you register, and the moment you withdraw your money you're slapped with a popup asking you to KYC first, which is already an aggravating process for some who aren't too eager to let their stuff out on the internet.

Perhaps a more upfront approach is more desirable. Let people know that you're doing KYC from the get-go by making them do it after you register, that way the people aren't burdened with having to send an ID when all they expected to do is just send an address and wait for their money to arrive.

If the casinos would return your money then it's fine. But some of the casinos let you play as long as you lose. Then when you win, they take your winnings and may even take your deposits. There are some that return everything.

This warning is given out every year prior to the Super Bowl and it's even more important during the World Cup. If a book is going to pull a Betnomi, the most popular time to do it is after the Super Bowl or World Cup. Keep your money in "A" and "B" rated books until after the Super Bowl.

Sportsbet didn’t pay anyone. It’s not on the blockchain.
You are kinda right though the player did win the huge amount through Sportsbet.io and didn't have any issues with receiving his winnings which is why they definitely deserve partial credit in this case.

Their director also invited him to their HQ to treat him exclusively which is a good gesture from their side.

Peeps Place,

Why take something exciting for the entire Bitcoin community and try to spoil the fun by making it about yourself?

Steve never said "Sportsbet.io sent 42,000,000 USDT" from their own pockets.

He has no reason to lie about something so easily verifiable on the Blockchain (even YOU were able to verify it).

The huge prize was one of Games Global’s WowPot!™ progressive jackpots, which begin at 2 million euros but regularly grow to be much larger.  Cool Cool

Grin Grin The winning customer has since withdrawn his winnings and no doubt had a New Year's Eve party like never before!

We couldn’t be prouder to see a Sportsbet.io player win one of the biggest prizes in online casino history.  Grin Grin

It's not the community's fault that you don't understand how online casinos work (much differently than sportsbooks, fyi).

Not only is there not a lot of media on the Sportsbet case but this player hit the jackpot on Dec. 20 and Steve says he's already been paid his winnings of $42m before New Year's. It's also convenient that it was taped on video.
I agree with you that it's amazing that some believed Steve's story as given. It was like a herd of sheep. I searched for USDT transactions on the blockchain.
I was wrong. The jackpot is genuine. I was searching Sportsbet and the blockchain. Nothing came up so I originally thought it was fake.

That's a whole lot of FUD/fear mongering/garbage you've spewed in the past 48 hours.

The point is that a lucky customer logged into Sportsbet.io, won a record life-changing Jackpot and had no issues withdrawing their money.
You are grabbing information from what I said in someone’s scam accusation thread, picking and choosing different quotes to twist and confuse people. Go over there if you want to argue. Sportsbet’s involved in a lot of scams but this thread isn’t the place to discuss it. Everyone was confused in this thread so I tried to clarify. You are still confused because Steve did say Sportsbet paid.

Sportsbet didn’t pay anyone. It’s not on the blockchain.

This is a WowPot. It includes many casinos that contribute to the jackpot. Sportsbet did not pay out the prize amount. It was paid by Games Global
Sportsbet didn’t pay a thing. It’s not on the blockchain. Steve said Sportsbook paid and there’s a picture of a check where it infers Sportsbet paid but that’s untrue. Coins Global paid in Euros.
Get your story straight and stop changing it all the time please.
First you say it was paid by Games Global, than you say it was Coins Global, and all news articles you posted have no source at all, and no information who wrote them.

You didnt discover anything new we dont know already about games being made and owned by someone else.
Wheel of Fortune is game from Microgaming Alchemy:

Steve said Sportsbet paid. The check inferred Sportsbet paid in USDT. It’s not true. Just search WowPot and tons of articles come up. Ignore the press releases by Sportsbet because they are misleading. Games Global paid in euros.

I used the analogy already. You walk in a store and buy a lotto ticket and win a huge jackpot. The store doesn’t pay you.

That’s Sportsbet press release that just went out. Search WowPot jackpot. None of the articles even mention Sportsbet. The only one that does comes out of Sportsbet. Although the jackpot was hit at Sportsbet. There’s no other way to say it other than Steve is dishonest. I’ve tried to work with him on complaints in the past and he’s the only book I’ve found to be dishonest.

So that means there is no proof that's a genuine win then?

I was wrong. The jackpot is genuine. I was searching Sportsbet and the blockchain. Nothing came up so I originally thought it was fake. I kept looking and searched WowPot and then found out it was real. Games Global paid in euros.
