In your mature scenario, Darkcoin would already be broken if that's the case (with every single masternode owner sharing data for $). Yes that is my point. The design is broken. It can't work longer term. That is my opinion. This does not mean that "DRK [the coin] is dead" after all the technology is still evolving and who knows how it might be improved. It might even evolve into something useful and valuable that has nothing to do with privacy. I have no idea. The current design is a fail IMO. And that's where we'll continue to disagree. You assign very high probabilities to your scenario playing out with the majority (if not all) masternode owners sharing data whereas I assign low probabilities of this being as large of an issue as you make it sound like it will be--strictly from an incentive trade off between data revenue streams vs risk of value loss to underlying holdings. The problem is that it is set up as a many-way prisoner's dilemma. The data trackers won't go to a masternode convention and try to get a collective body of masternode operators to make a collective decision to share data. They will go to individual masterede operators and pay for data. The only rational decision for an individual operator is to accept the money. His individual decision to do so won't harm the privacy of the coin much at all. In fact according to your arguments about probabilities across multiple rounds and blinding making each operator individually insignficant, it won't hurt at all. I suppose there is another possibility, which is that masternodes all end u being operated by the same party, in which case they can, possibly, make a rational decision to refuse. That's not very decentralized though is it? Majority of nodes are run on amazon AWS VPS systems or the like. You wouldn't even have to go to each player directly, but go straight to the hosting service. A major company would never risk losing revenue with a scandal as big as colluding with governments and revealing personal data! The people would never stand for it and there's no way a company could handle the economic backlash as citizens unite and boycott their services all the way to bankruptcy court....  LOL are you even serious? It is happening all they time! Well, i remember seeing it around 10, maybe even less than 10, like 9.8 and today i saw it at 16.1 or something. Thats why i threw those numbers. In fact there is a cycle every day so i cant know if i saw a bottom and a peak.
That being said according to minergate chart at least the previous two weeks he had a bottom of almost 9.5 and a peak of almost 19.5.
Is there a better normalized hashrate chart anywhere?

Great coin. Nothing more than manipulating the price. So, what if you stop your pump machine for a month or two, and take back all your buy orders? What the price would be? 0.0005 or 0.0001? Is it really interesting to invest in coin , where everything is decided by one man? For starters, it is better to have someone buy a coin with very big emission in order to try and manipulate it than having someone owning the coin by premining it  And then you assume that noone else is trading/holding which is largely wrong. |

Assuming someone really wanted to buy like 200BTC worth of XMR when the price was low, he couldnt do that without obviously pumping the price. Even more so when half the sell orders were his own.If you dont say anything people will think that, well, the time they were waiting for may be coming indeed and wont sell. They may even buy more. So what is best to do? Tell the people that you are manipulating the price. People dislike that. They play along but stay alarmed and sell when they feel a bit scared. After all its just manipulation. So i would argue that you actually manage to buy the coins you wanted at better price by stating that you are manipulating the price. And this way also has a plus. Your words gain more trust if you say something and that happens. You can use that in the future. Maybe really near future too. Only thing i really dont think you are going to do is to wait 24h to buy. You actually buy the moment you said that you are going to buy. Oh and remember, it is also buying when people (from a wannabe syndicates or not) dump on you |

Κάθε φορά μετά από μια φούσκα έρχονται οι ειδήσεις που λένε ότι το bitcoin πεθαίνει και είναι επικινδυνο. Κάθε φορά πριν την φούσκα έρχονατι οι ειδήσεις που λένε ότι μπορεί τελικά και να είναι χρήσιμο.
Ξέρεις τι άλλο πεθαίνει εδώ και 15 χρόνια? Κάτι που πολλές φορές είναι παράνομο σε πολλές χώρες του κόσμου. Τα torrents. Ψάξε λίγο στο google παλιές ειδήσεις και μέτρα πόσες φορές πέθαναν τα torrents.

There are dozens of ways a mutation can happen. Its chemistry. A gamma ray from a distant star may excite a molecule therefore destroying it. Maybe UV light from our sun. Or that lead atom in the atmosphere. Maybe it is just the probability of a reaction to happen that simply doesnt create the same products 100% of the times. Or maybe that burned food full of carcinogen you ate. α particles from Radon? Or β+- particles from the potassium in the banana you just ate.
