281  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 25, 2024, 08:33:32 PM
Sorry but I am having the opposite opinion regarding your point wherein the present generation has learned or even smarter than the past when it comes to money management because I can see them doing the other way. Lavishness is what will describe this young individuals that are posting indiscriminately and mostly on social media about their lifestyles. If I am not mistaken their lifestyle today doubled or even tripled that of the previous generation when it comes to excessive spending one reason is also inflation but yeah they don't care about assets though not all of them but majority of them do.
And there's nothing wrong with that, their life their choice.

The current generation like to become popular, get validation and exploring anything. Unlike the old generation where they spent most of their times to work and save their money in order to enjoy their retirement.

Since the current generation don't care with retirement funds, it means they will work until they die.
The lifestyle of the people has changed in every generation and this is also because of the developing technology that we have as people are just exploring what they see around them and they want to be happy which is why they work hard and enjoy life. But I don't care what they are doing as it was their choice.

Well, the question is if they have a savings plan to stay in a luxurious life for a long time especially when they can't work anymore. We notice that if not most but many didn't do this thing as they were disturbed by their bad spending habits and ended up broke and empty when getting old. Most of them just rely on their pensions, not on their savings.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman WBO super welterweight Title March 31 on: January 25, 2024, 01:12:36 PM
Another interesting fight to watch this year. Although Tim Tszyu is very active while Keith Thurman seemed not anymore on his prime due to his long inactivity in boxing, I still think that he is a very dangerous fighter. He doesn't have another loss aside from Pacman which was on a split decision, so he hasn't really dominated in boxing yet.

They have more than 2 months to train, not sure what's the standard but they have an ample time to train so no boxer will make an excuse after the fight.

I was checking for the betting odds, and it seems like Thurman here is a heavy dog.

Thurman is 5/1.. Shocked
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Rebound This Week on: January 24, 2024, 09:51:54 PM
According to data from the Coinglass platform, the current open positions in Bitcoin futures contracts have reached $17.582 billion.  CME holds the largest share at $4.769 billion, followed by Binance at $4.151 billion, and Bybit at $3.199 billion.  The substantial open interest across these platforms suggests significant market activity. So will Bitcoin rebound this week?

Don't look at the share OP as it doesn't influence the price movement of Bitcoin but rather understand what the volatility means.
You may be asking rebound this week. The answer is uncertain but surely we have that rebound only the fact that we don't know when it comes. The halving event is on its way, we can be optimistic about its results because that is what we experienced last halving. That is why we don't have anything to worry about the current dump, it won't dump badly like another bearish season. Hold and wait for the market recovery (or just grab some), we never incur losses as long as we never sell any.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 24, 2024, 01:02:22 PM

So Nery needs to be very careful here, he might think that his power could be enough, but Inoue shows that he has a iron chin too. And Inoue also developed his counter punching already, similar to a pull back then straight right of Mayweather. But Inoue has more power.

Nery does have a good KO rate but Inoue is just exceptional. He better think that he is up against an extraordinary powerful fighter so he would be reckless when in the ring. It's a big success for him if he could finally deal Inoue his first lose, but it's easier than said, you know.

I believe that Fulton and Tapales were the toughest opponent that he fought in the last three years and Nery is not that invincible he was first exposed by figueroa the guy cannot take a punch and figueroa is not even a hard puncher, all Inoue has to do is to aim the body because Nery has weakness in his body as shown in his match against Figueroa.

I don't see it that way. The toughest? These two boxers you've mentioned didn't even hurt Inoue, they were champions but they are just playing solid defense without an offense, but still it resulted to a KO win by Inoue. The toughest was against Donaire, during the first meeting, Inoue got hurt but he was smart to make an adjustment and manage to win the fight.

Perhaps prior to the fight, everyone thought that they will have a good chance against Inoue. So in paper, Fulton as a 2 belt champion is touted to be a boxer that might beat Inoue's style. And then Tapales too, he said before the fight that he is really on what Inoue will give to him. But the fight was not even close. Maybe it's just way to sell the fight but for bettors, Inoue is really very hard to beat.
They tried to play the trash talk before the right but during the actual, they looked like a punching bag to Inoue. As for this division, there's no one that could really match his talent, but there's one boxer I want Inoue to beat and that is Casimero. I know some of you may say that he doesn't deserve the chance, but what I like is that once and for all Casimero will stop the trashtalk once he was dealth with a defeat.

But i'm sure it's not a boring fight, it will be a toe to toe fight, guaranteed.

And even if Nery has a good knockout percentage, Inoue is very hard to hit to even score a knockout against him as Inoue has a good defense too and his chin has never been really crack by anyone.

As I stated, no boxer could match Inoue in this divsion yet, and I don't see Nery as an excemption since he's not a special fighter. Although we can also respect the power of Nery, but in terms of quickness, that he can't beat Inoue on that.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 24, 2024, 12:00:54 PM
This trade that happened I think is beneficial to the Miami Heat.

Heat acquire Terry Rozier in trade with Hornets

Quote
Heat receive:

Terry Rozier
Hornets receive:

Kyle Lowry
2027 first-round pick

They need a guy who can also create his own shots. Terry is a kind of player that could do that, and with the system of the Heat, I believe he will get better and the team will get better as well. Kyle Lowry obviously past his prime now, but Terry is still on his prime.

It's definitely a good deal for the Heat. Let's be honest Lowry's performance has gotten worse each season, and trading him to the Heat in the 21/22 season didn't benefit either him or the team.
Well, now the Heat's starting lineup might look like this: Rozier, Herro, Butler, Martin, and Adebayo. I think that looks good and quite competitive on paper.

JJJ should be part of the starting line up, he has more positive contribition on the floor han Martin. I hope he will be back soon.

And there's the latest update about him.  https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/4432848/jaime-jaquez-jr
Quote
15 hours agoJaquez (groin) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Once he is 100% okay, will play his usual, this Miami team could be a championship contender team.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin completely erase the Traditional Banking System? on: January 23, 2024, 10:26:58 PM
For one, I would say that moreover that Bitcoin has gained popularity and also disrupted the financial industry , it is only safe to say that it is unlikely to replace the traditional banking system in the nearest future. I mean , mortgages , loans and financial services are functions that are carried out by these traditional banking systems. But then, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have the potential to provide alternative options and challenge certain aspects of the traditional banking system .. What do you think?
That is too far from happening. It won't replace the traditional Banking System or people using this over fiat money but instead, it remains an alternative. In fact, that is the main goal of its creation, not replacement. Even these days, only a few adopted Bitcoin as a currency but the majority see this as a potentially profitable investment. If people are buying Bitcoin today and in the future, that could be for investment purposes.

Until the fees never settled down, it was difficult to influence people to use this as a currency instead of an investment. And for some reasons like risk and transaction delays, people never change their minds.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 23, 2024, 12:29:22 PM
I don't have a son yet but I have a daugther who already gamble, but it's just for fun. If time will come that she will steal money from me to gamble, I would feel disappointed but I would not be to harsh to here since I also gamble and I know what gambling can do if a person gets addicted to it. I have my time focus on here and help here to recover, gambling is suppose to be for fun and we can only achieve that we are have limitations.

Maybe it's also important that we should educate our children about gambling even if they aren't gambling, so if the time comes that they will try, they won't be ignorant and will make stupid mistakes.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 23, 2024, 11:57:41 AM
What I like more is the Boston Celtics defeating the Dallas Mavericks at their home nd the Minnesota Timberwolves also being defeated by the Charlotte Hornets at their home. An upset that will be remembered with LaMelo Ball recording 13 assists.
Dallas are sometimes inconsistent but we can't discount their opponent as they are against the best team in the NBA now (I guess). I was thinking that Dallas having a good rest will be able to defeat the Celtics, but I didn't see what i expected as right from the start celtics are already dictating the game.

About the Wolves, that's unreal. They are -15 on bookies, means they could win easily but indeed it was an upset. LaMelo is really special though, with him this shitty team gets better.

Then, the Grizzlies defeating  the Raptors which means Canada is giving up their playoffs and Finals opportunities.

They are tired of losing I guess, and with this win by the Grizzlies, we've seen how big the impact of losing Siakam. Of course, they can't expect a playoff spot after giving one of their best player if not the best.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it even possible to offer 10% daily reward? on: January 22, 2024, 09:57:53 PM
Is it even possible to offer 10% daily reward? Anyone could suggest me if it is solid or scam project?

I don't know how people staked over 40 Million PIE tokens on this very new platform.

Please share your honest suggestion, i already have faced alot in new projects on BSC chain.

https://applepies.co
NO - a usual trick from scammers and they will offer huge rewards to innocent individuals and become a victims.
Maybe if that is 0.1% daily, that seems real but with that amount, you can already think it is a big scam. Buy now and lose after.

Many cases have happened already and it was very clear to us. And my honest suggestion is to stay away from this project and those who offer huge rewards as they are just a scams.
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 22, 2024, 09:37:21 PM
Well, despite knowing everything about trading, we can't make it perfectly, and losses still going to happen. With the unpredictable situation of the market, many traders find it difficult to put their buy/sell orders which affects their mindset and courage to continue.

With all the tips and reasons that have been mentioned OP, it is quite to say that most traders have found it hard to control their emotions. A common reason for their failure and I can't deny that was also my problem even until now. If we are into trading, this is what we have to master to control in order to succeed.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 21, 2024, 04:48:54 PM
I hope first 5 players are ready to play, this is a do or die game so they can't make an excuses, playing with inury is necessary as long as they can help their team to win.

I saw hodge and Perkins on the floor, so yes it's a complete line up and for sure they'll be battling down to the wire. Enjoy the evening as it's just one game, after this we will proceed to the semi finals.

Another bad start for Meralco, just like the first game, they were down a double digit. Can they continue the trend and win the 2nd half. I am still hopeful with my bet, I'm hoping Meralco would be able to come back in the 3rd quarter and will make it a single digit deficit, or much better if they'll take the lead after the 3rd quarter so we will have a very good last quarter to watch.

Meralco's outside shooting is not sinking, it looks like they are hesitant unlike the Phoenix who are confident to shoot and attack. I hope the right adjustments will be made for this interesting 3rd quarter to come.

Unfortunately, Bolts were unable to manage to complete the rally in the last quarter. They managed to close the gap, but the fuelmaster managed to escape and move forward to the semis. It will be a game between them and Magnolia, which for sure will earn the heavy favorite here,
They can't win if they will only come back in the 4th quarter. I think it's the Meralco's import who is not as good as their last imports. Meralco was more on defense but they forgot their offense, if not because of Maliksi's 3 point shooting, they won't be able to come back. One thing I also notice is their rebounding, they lack of energy compared to the Phoenix who really work hard on the paint, and grab some rebounds.

another sure place for SMC group, while there's no MVP who, most of the time, has been set up for the finals' appearance. Both SMB and Gin Kings got their own super squads. It's a game now of good executions and good selection of blended players inside the court.

Phoenix may advance in the semi finals but I doubt they'll pass through the Magnolia Hotshots. Magnolia is more phyisical than the Meralco, they have a better import and they are moving the ball well, so their offense is not dry.

I think it will be Magnolia vs SMB/Ginebra in the Finals.
292  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 19, 2024, 02:13:05 PM
I urge you to stop engaging in this fraudulent sportsbook's thread. It does not deserve your attention or time. Unless you have a legitimate grievance, you are only promoting it on the forum by keeping the thread active.
You can urge people to stop engaging in this Casino but to stop posting here? that is a different agenda because you are wrong about we are promoting this site by bumping this thread instead this will help bitcointalk users to have idea and knowledge to what is this casino all about and never to play because every posts in this thread are a warning and indication how scamming this site to play with.
This is sort like a promotion for newbies who can't read. But if a newbies can read, they will know that most if not all of the comments are negative, it's against the gambling site reputation and although they have their own ANN thread but they could not defend themselves because they don't have the proof to change how the community see on their gambling site. If they can address the scam accusations against them, then maybe they'll be given a chance, but until that will happen, they'll stay on what they are tagged for.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of excitement on: January 19, 2024, 11:38:07 AM
Excitement always comes around OP. I don't know what makes you worry about the fluctuation because if you have been in the crypto market for many 10 years or even just one year you could understand that this is really how the market looks. This is the reason why people are always excited about what will happen to the market and the fluctuations you've said are a factor that gives a chance for the investors to earn more.

Let your experience give you the idea of whether you will continue or stop. We can never change the price movement of the market but we can help to adopt and understand the situation.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 19, 2024, 11:11:25 AM
I don't trust new projects with inexperienced teams. I've been burned by several solid projects with new teams that couldn't deliver on their promises. Recently, I came across an airdrop for an upcoming meme project called DingDang. The interesting part is that the team successfully launched Kikswap in 2022, which performed well. The presale participants gained a 10x return at launch, and they raised 506 BNB in the initial seed sale. With many trending meme coins in the market, I'm considering investing in DingDang during its early stages. What are your thoughts on whether it's worth it or not?

Website and Whitepaper link are below:
Web: https://dingdang.io/
Whitepaper: https://dingdang.io/whitepaper.pdf

Do what you think is right OP but never blame us if something wrong happens in your investment (scam) instead, blame yourselves for not listing the warnings you've gotten. Just take a picture of those thousands of meme coins out there, and how many of them become popular, it is just a few. That certainly tells us what kind of projects they are and they are not worthy of investment.

If can dare to risks, better choose those projects where at least we have some chance to earn a profit. Even though they have a good road map or whitepaper, it was different in actual.

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Fall of ICOs: Lessons Learned on: January 18, 2024, 09:46:00 PM
Well, my experience it quite great, I earn much during that time. I'm not sure but maybe I was lucky to choose the projects that it booms during the bull season and make a sell perfectly. Of course, I was aware that many of the ICO projects turn into scams as well but because I never held any of them which is why I end making money, unlike the others.

The lesson: don't hold altcoins for a long time but rather make a play on its movement. Don't be too greedy but rather enjoy some percentage of earnings or else, we gonna miss it.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 18, 2024, 03:46:18 PM
We all know Inoue is one of the best fighter in boxing nowadays cause still he can prove tonus that he is the monster in every fight of him. And yes Inoue nowadays still don't have losses so he is undefeated  but as I observe in his achievements he fought in his homeland which is pretty good enough cause he is the advantages  cause his homeland is his comfort place to fight. But we must see the more exciting to watch once he go outside and fight in different countries.

IMO, he does not have much of an advantage fighting in Japan since most of his fights end up via KO wins. Maybe  a little bit of inspiration fighting in front of his supporters, but he also fought in the US and we still saw the same outcome. Inoue is so hype right now but honestly,  I don't see him as good as those boxers that are also a top pound for pound boxers.

As per ranking here : https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/

1- Terrence
2- Naoya
3- Usyk
4- Canelo.

I believe the best in this ranking is Terrence, because I see that he has more quality opponents, probably 2nd is Canelo and I'll put Inoue on the 3rd.

This is just my personal opinion though, you might not agree with it, but it's okay.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 18, 2024, 02:25:59 PM
3- OKC -3

I'm going against the hot Jazz, they were my pick against the Warriors but I feel that the OKC is still the better team. Coming from 2 disappointing loss in LA, I think they'll make sure to break that losing streak here.

Tough call on this. Jazz has been dominating their opponents on their last few games, as we can see in .
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jazz-stats-last-10-games

I like to ride with your pick on other games but I will pass on this one, maybe I'll just sit this one out as I'm not sure if OKC will stop the bleading and will take this one, or Jazz will continue their sweet ride.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would it be like owning a Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 17, 2024, 09:35:34 PM

Although I have not yet owned Bitcoin, I understand that investing in Bitcoin is a great idea but as like others, it is not a 100% guarantee. And if owned should be stored in a non custodian wallet for safety, I would love to begin my Bitcoin journey and appreciate lots of ideas and advice from this family.

So what is your take about this, would you advise on owning Bitcoin in 2024 or do you see it as a total risk?

You already have understood that Bitcoin is a great idea yet you are still asking. You are still in doubt as per see.
If you still have it in your mind, you will end up missing the chance. If I were you, grab your bag and fill it before the halving, or else, you will be in regret it. Don't be like those people who just buy Bitcoin when the pumps have started but rather accumulate them before the surge. Just look at the price history of Bitcoin, I believe that would help you to encourage and eliminate your doubts. But if you still carry such feelings, I suggest forgetting about crypto as it certainly never works.
299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 17, 2024, 08:03:37 PM
After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including -

  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis

Yeah, it is indeed a lot of things you need to learn before becoming a professional trader and that is the reason why only a few traders achieve it. But I will tell you that it is not just enough to learn those things you have mentioned, we will also need to be more patient and know how to respond in critical situations. Many traders fail because they are emotional, a kind of behavior that will make us down.

It was not too hard to learn trading but what made it so difficult was the actual trade which already involved decision-making. It is a big challenge for us if we are too emotional, a cause of usual mistakes ( wrong place of order, ruins the plan, etc).
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 17, 2024, 07:45:11 AM
That was on their 2nd fight, but it's the same on their first, Donaire was still aggressive.

You can argue with Kevin Iole if you want, not me.  Grin

You better go back to my earliest post. You were the one who reacted with exaggeration as if Donaire had the upper hand in their first match against Inoue. Donaire only won 3 or 4 rounds in the majority of the scorecards. But here you are referencing their second fight. Here's your joke:

Me: Hey, Fighter A failed to do this against Fighter B in their first fight.
Natalim: Man, what happened to you? You are wrong. Fighter A did that. Take a look at their second fight. Read this article about their second fight.
Me: Lol!  Grin

But anyway let's probably continue discussing sometime in the future after you've actually watched full fights and not just read articles written by content creators from far-away countries for somebody else.

Sorry OP for off-topic responses. I was just responding to a blind fanboy who was triggered by comments on what really happened.

Stay on the argument please. I just reacted with your post claiming that " you cannot remember Donaire fighting Inoue toe to toe". . I don't questioned who makes more punches or who had the upper hand in that fight FYI.

Don't call me blind please because you are also calling those posters who agree with me that Donaire fought Inoue toe to toe.

So these active posters are blind too?
that i could very well agree. in my opinion, donaire really did come close on this fight. he actually was the one who gave a very good fight to inoue.
Maybe he missed that fight and if he could just watch back the old clips of that match for sure he will be amazed of performance done by Donaire.
Yes, he broke Inoue's orbital bone that fight, in their first meeting. We can also say that in the second, Donaire tries to go toe to toe as well ....

or do you understand the meaning of toe to toe fight?
