2941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Your Bitcoin Wallet Be Hacked? How Can You Secure It? on: April 05, 2021, 10:43:49 PM
Remember to use the password of the BTC wallet only there. Don’t utilize the same key in social networks, in e-mail and also don’t write it in notes on your phone. Two-Factor authentication can help you.

True that. Since mobile phones can get lost or stolen, it's not ideal to store those seeds and private keys on them. Not to mention that these notes apps can easily be compromised. Back in 2017, I know a guy that lost over a million dollars simply because he stored some of his wallet access details in his Evernote account which was later compromised and funds drained afterwards.  Best to keep details like that in a safe location that's offline too preferably a hardware wallet with top security.
In that case, we have to anticipate that, and having a backup file could help. That should we gonna do and we can just be confident enough were exposing our Bitcoin to others will lead to some interest in it.

We can't really escape from this but it is for us then on how to manage our accounts. If we are too careless, the more it helps hackers to successfully steal our cryptos. We have to remember that they are smarter than us and any leaks to our keys will get easy for them to get in and control.
2942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: April 05, 2021, 01:26:22 PM
Same here, I love him as a figher but not as a politician with big ambition to become a president, and I think we are just speculating beacuse I never head that he announce he will run for presidency. No one could beat President Duterte as now he is the most popular person in the Philippines.

Why? Is his political track record that bad? If he wants to run for the president, then let him do it. Philippines is a democratic country and any adult citizen can run for the presidency. Here in India, we have a former tea seller as the prime minister (the presidential post is largely ceremonial). The fact that Manny is not a career politician should not be held against him. IMO, ordinary politicians are much better than career politicians.

People in the Philippines knows which candidate is the best, if you follow the journey of Pacquioa, you would not think that he is fit to a higher position than the senate. Kindly read this one...

https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/why-dutertes-approval-rating-stands-at-91
Quote
Why Duterte's approval rating stands at 91%
after they have a good president, the standard of the Filipinos has been uplifted and they now have a high expectation, higher than the capability of the current president and I guess whoever the current president will endorse will win.
2943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paris Hilton has joined Bitcoin’s “laser eyes to $100,000” on: April 04, 2021, 11:03:59 PM
Paris Hilton mentionning Bitcoin on twitter could be considered as a sell signal  Shocked

No, better to hold it until such a time that she will sell it.

People are now thinking of $100k, may you can extend your patience to that moment. This not impossible, many known personalities, celebrities (local and international) are investing in Bitcoin which is our chance is higher and you might be in regrets it if you sell it now.

Anyway, it's up to you then.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 02, 2021, 09:23:46 PM
I only take the top 10 in the ranking. Liking the Jazz and Nets as they stay consistent, whiel 76ers also have some great performance despite missing Embiid.
Yeah, I watched the 76ers a lot of times trying to analyze how they can still win the game without Embiid.
There is actually a simple answer. The floor had been spread more unlike last year.

With Danny Green and Seth Curry being a threat in the 3 point field, Harris and Simmons can move freely and attack the paint.
Howard stats is the best product at 18 points and 15 rebounds against the Cavs. This team is for sure a championship contender, better than how they are against the Raptors losing at the lucky shot of Kawhi.

Well, the Sixers could've a shot at the NBA finals this year If the Nets didn't modified their roster into a more stronger line up.
They (Sixers) have a good player rotation even If Embid misses a few games and I was ready betting at them all the way to the ECF. Everything's changed when the Nets are obviously trying to have an easy way to get a ring.
Anyway, the Bucks, Heat, and the Sixers have still their shot at defeating the very stacked Nets team.
This season isn't a good season by the way, because of the injuries.

They can still be beaten though, good defense still win games in the NBA, so if the Bucks, Sixers or Miami Heat can pla solid defense for the whole 48 hours, they still have a shot at the stacked Nets team.

But if there is a team that can beat the Nets, I think it will be Sixers, that is, if they can get Joel play again 100%. It's 1-1, Nets win the first game against the Sixers, but then Sixers come back strong in their second match.

The problem is Sixers tank during playoffs, I hope they'll improve now, and they can't just rely on Embiid while the Nets had everyone on the floor who can score and contribute for the team to win. What if they can limit Embiid, where would the Sixers get their offense?
2945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your Top Crypto Picks for April? on: April 02, 2021, 01:27:14 PM
What are your Top Crypto Picks for April that you think have massive potentials? Or maybe your top 5 coins that you heavily invested in.

My picks were Monero, ALGO, THETA, PUNDIX, and DIVI coin... This is my potential coins. Might add some NFT tokens sooon!

Well, I'm not confident with the NFT tokens but something is was hot now. But of course, it is a need for you to observe the market first how NFT tokens hit a huge demand.

We need to be smart now, choosing those coins that already have a huge market volume is a good investment but, we can't just close the door to the low-volume altcoins that might have the potential to grow as well. That only we need to spend time observing their market behavior and never do the rush.
2946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Buy btc Today and cash out one year on: April 02, 2021, 01:05:10 PM
So keep that hope OP and rather ask that the current momentum will continue until next year because I was thinking for the bear season to come next.

For I don't have to make any conclusions and time frame when I'm going to sell my Bitcoin as I know that we can't predict the price. Because if going to say  I buy now, hold, and I sell but most likely it happens when the market is good and I can see that I was in profit. Maybe this could be the right statement, "I buy today and cash out in the next Bullrun". That could be next year, the next 3 years, or 10 years.
2947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could we crowdfund a movie about Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 02, 2021, 10:01:52 AM
I think that is interesting, we did not know who really satoshi is but a documentary like movies is possible and that is by analyzing all information he had before he completely disappeared in the space.

I think we they should start by analyzing his post here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Carl Frampton WBO Super-featherweight Title on: April 02, 2021, 09:40:11 AM
Middle East has now become a venue for boxing, I guess soon there will be more popular fights that will be held. I read some news regarding the possible Pacquioa vs Crawford fight, it says that the possible venue is in Abu Dhabi, so it's really great to know promoters finding a great venue to help the sports survive and continue to collect revenue.

About this fight, I guess I'll go for Jamel Herring.
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: April 02, 2021, 09:10:45 AM
There are no Boxing Bets for Stake.com or maybe this is on the special events I don't know,
We will know as the fight is getting closer.

well it is obvious that Ben Askren can dominate Jake Paul in the ring event though this is not the usual octagon Askren perform from, I think that Askren had that experience base on his previous fights in the Octagon and I think he had some training as well with boxing, But there is this vibe that I am feeling that Jake Paul might surprise us but it will sure dependent on his training.

What is obvious is that  Jake Paul will dominate based on the betting odds, this is boxing and its not UFC, so it's a differnet fight and Jake Paul has an advantage as he has won his previous fights. This is like a Mayweather vs Mcgreggor, but maybe the outcome is not the same.
2950  Economy / Speculation / Re: The power of Bitcoin HODLing on: April 01, 2021, 10:08:29 PM
This thread is motivation to all people around the world who still don't trust the power of holding. Many people still choose to become traders rather than holders, even with so many facts that holders always wins, but they still cant become a holder. I think many people less patience, this is the main culprit
That is really a mirroring of what we do in the past years but that is how we choose to sell it because, in the first place, we haven't to know yet that this will happen. Can't see it in the crystal ball and that is why people will sell their Bitcoin when they feel it was the best price to make a good profit. There is no problem with that and even we take this as a lesson for us but can't tell that everyone will not do the hold because I know that not all have that kind of market perceptions and selling still visible.
2951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I tried to tell him just HODL bitcoin, don't make this hard. on: April 01, 2021, 09:46:30 PM
He is not actually your friend because he never listens to you, he has been brag about his emotions and the worries that it dump.
Well, that is his decision and we don't need to make it a big deal, He can do anything with them because that is his money.

We will know that not all the crypto investors are willing to hold and the person you know online is one of them. It is a life, weak hands can't stop thinking negatively and that is why they often sell immediately once they saw the market price is peaking up even though it is not already reaching the high level.
2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: April 01, 2021, 11:06:15 AM
Definitely rooting for Ben Askren in this fight, kinda feeling sick of the Paul brothers & the constant whoring they do all over social media. It’s annoying & I’d love to see one of them KO’d ASAP.

haha.. I feel the same, lol..

Any update about the betting odds of this fight, is it available already in our favorite sportsbook in the forum?

2953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITGESELL - Store of value (Burn rate is 90% of tx fees) #realstoreofvalue on: April 01, 2021, 10:31:52 AM
I know but there should be a more specific reason, and not just the reason that in the long run it will rise.

I already get it, I read some information about the project and I'm glad I was able to promote the campaign even in just 1 week.
Sold mine, and I guess I'll wait until it will fall down again, if possible.

I will continue to participate in the subscription campaign until it ends, I hope this will not happen soon, although if the price continues to grow, then who knows. I have not sold the coins yet, I think that the price is still too low for so many coins in circulation and given the stated halving every year, it is very undervalued. Smiley

That's a real holder, not selling even if the price is already high.

It's already x10 of the low price I witnessed and it could still rise more as the supply is really cheap.
1$ is just a minimum which I think with continues development, price will increase more, more so if big exchange will list BGL.
2954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 01, 2021, 10:12:34 AM
Per report, he only played 14 minutes, I hope the injury is not serious though, it's not good to see Lakers their big man is down and the big 3 will be out in the game. I hope he will come back soon as this is just a toe issue.

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/lakers-andre-drummond-exits-with-toe-issue/
This kind of issues should be addressed quickly because this is detrimental for players I mean there should have been a revolutionary technology to prevent this kind of sports injury in basketball. Drummond is a really good player and the fact that his toe is the reason that he will be playing for less makes me think of the Achilles heel.

They have the most advance technology but no one could predict an injury since this is a contact sport, it's just unfortunate that he was injurd in his debut with the Lakers but I believe that his injury is not a season ending injury.
2955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tried futures trading for the first time on: March 31, 2021, 10:54:24 PM
Okay so I have decided to make some small risks by putting an amount that I can afford to lose in futures trading. Right now, I am choosing the ETH/USDT pairing and I declared it short 5x with 30% stop loss. Still learning the ropes of futures trading since I am not totally contented with just copy trading only. I did gained with copy trading, but I would like to learn how to self-gain it myself with my own decisions in futures trading.

I am not gonna close my trade yet until I’m finally into profit or it reaches the SL amount, coz’ right now it’s still at a loss. I would definitely try futures trading everyday than just spot trading, at least this could add up to my learning especially some TAs, etc.
I give you the support here. Trying new isn't a bad idea but this an opportunity to learn something and to say if this future trading is ideal for all traders or for the experts only. And since you are prepared for the possible losses, that won't worry you so much.

I would suggest you use other altcoins instead of ETH as the price is already high. May a choice of growing project will be good, there's a lot of them.

But anyway, this is just like a game, we sometimes win and sometimes lose. Whatever it happens later is also a big help for us to know our limitation.
Well, good luck and hope you will enjoy it.
2956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin adoption isn't stopping on: March 31, 2021, 10:23:54 PM
The future of bitcoin is still uncertain, but the latest developments from various well-known companies have started claiming to use bitcoin as a transaction tool such as Tesla and PayPal, and the US central bank which is also called The Federal Reserve recently issued a statement they will issue digital currency.
I think bitcoin adoption will continue to grow and what we are seeing, bitcoin users continue to increase from all walks of life.
Absolutely...
Bitcoin adoption had no reason to stop and that it keeps spreading. This huge market adoption from the known companies and influential people will brag more for the others to do as well. Like this banks have the option to take the risk (and I believe it is a must for now) or otherwise, they will be left behind. And this kind of change is a part of the economic and market innovation that could give benefits to everyone.

2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 31, 2021, 12:13:07 PM
What do you think about Gobert, Mitchell and Clarkson? as I'm telling, they cannot just underestimate this team. They might look not so strong but they're proving themselves.

But yeah, being #1 at the standings doesn't mean that they'll be the champion but, the reason why they're on the top because they're playing well.
No doubt. Chemistry wise, you cannot fool around when it is the Jazz you are up against.
These teams are the contenders against a strong Nets if ever they will meet in the Finals.

They already show how good their chemistry each and they know whats their role to the team so I conclude that Jazz will still win eventhough Nets have superteam, Chemistry is so important to win the champ and we don't see yet on how the 5 stars click one team so maybe lets see on how the ball rotate when 5 of them plays on the hardcourt.

I'll look forward to that, Nets is a superteam, so they'll probably play better in the playoffs. Jazz are good in the regular season but they will be tested in the playoffs, like what happen to them in the last playoffs where they allow the Nuggets to come back from 1-3 deficit, hopefully it will not happen anymore so their good start will also have a good finish.
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 31, 2021, 11:46:42 AM
Still, in progress and not finalized but sources stating recently the target date and location, the fight might actually happen.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/31167314/manny-pacquiao-terence-crawford-talks-june-fight

I will give it a 50% chance that it will happen. Once we see Manny Pacquiao on the news that he goes back in hard practice, we already know it's now final.
Yes, probably 50% chance and perhaps Pacquiao is also looking for other fighters if the fight with Crawford didn't go. Manny is a senator and for sure he is one of the most hardworking Philippine senator, but once he committed himself to fight again, for sure he will give his 110% best as we all know that he wants to fight his young guys around and bet their ass.

We don't know his performance as a senator but boxing has always been his passion so we like to see him fighting again. Manny vs Crawford is going to be a big fight, Manny will be the underdog and this is what makes the fight more interesting.

Not final yet, we are just speculating but updating it is necessary, so thanks for those who continue updating this thread.
2959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which plan seems better? on: March 30, 2021, 09:37:05 PM
100% BTC and HODL. in the past I hold large amounts of altcoins (incl. eth, ripple etc.). at the end today i have at least 5 times less the amount of BTC I would have if I just stick to BTC from the beginning. now I am 100% in BTC. just relax and HODL until price reach what is enough for you.
Use either Ledger or Tresor. I use Ledger Nano S personally since prices start to become too high more than 3 years before.
If you hear this saying "never put all your eggs in one basket", probably you will think that spreading your funds to 2-3 coins is safer than having Bitcoin alone. Well, of course, it is your decision and that I believe also that you are already prepared for the incoming. Because if the price of Bitcoin will dump, you will definitely at lose, unlike if you are investing 2-3 different coins, the others will save you from that particular situation.
2960  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: March 30, 2021, 09:05:57 PM
Anyone can be an investor, rich or not doesn't mean much, agreed the rich have better opportunity to invest in any company they chose to invest on because of their huge capital, but there are opportunities for none rich people too, all you need is know the right place to invest on.

Rich or not means a lot Wink It even rhymes!

The rich can invest more without fear which means they don't suffer such a big loss, they aren't scared and can sleep well, they buy a larger piece so they make more money when it goes up.
It's much harder to become poor when you're rich than rich when you're poor.

You're right that we all can invest but don't say that it doesn't matter how much money we have because it does.
But this only applies to rich people that are business-minded. I'm really not sure for these coming generations, these young minds will think that way as their rich parents think differently from them.

Rich people can really afford to lose their money with no worries, that is their advantage, and they never afraid to try again if they failed to succeed on their first try. May some will think that poor people can also do business if they want to, yeah, they can but the challenge is that it really needs patient for their business to grow because of their capital which is a big factor that could affect the result of their business. But, rich people can start with a huge amount and they can make a huge profit then, and it is too far for poor people to do that which is really true that good business is only for rich people.
