2001  Economy / Economics / Re: India's 30% tax on income from digital asset on: February 04, 2022, 02:15:15 PM
They had a lot of people protesting against bans and they know a ban looks bad and puts them on a map along with some authoritarian regimes like China, so the best course of action was to avoid it. At the same time they want to discourage people from using cryptocurrencies so 30% tax is going to work good. From my libertarian point of view, this tax is abusive, but fortunately I don't live in India. We all have a choice. If the government is abusive, move somewhere else.
those who understand the benefits that we get from Bitcoin will certainly ask to unbanned and as support for this. But those who are ignorant and pretending a victim of a huge crypto scam will surely be happy and even encourage the government leaders to stop and put an end.
I'd never find another reason why India's leaders are proposing 30% tax to all crypto holders as it possibly they wanted to discourage people to use and invest this. That actually isn't fair but has nothing to do when officially sealed as legal.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: February 04, 2022, 01:50:41 PM
Like traders in general, buying altcoins is intended to take some small to large profits. However , some coins I would potentially choose to hold for maximum profit . Like ETH, BNB, SOL.
Indeed, we buy and hold altcoins for one reason and that is to make a profit from them. And choosing the right coins is a huge factor in regards to what we want to happen and this is somewhat a very challenging part in crypto investment as not all were here are knowledgeable enough but mostly just follow the hypes and invest in what the other says.
However, it was too unfortunate that not all were able to reach their goal, many had fail and suffered the consequences and lose their hard earned money.
2003  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hackers target large fund? on: February 04, 2022, 12:16:26 PM
If you got lucky that these hackers will see your wallet address and pick you up, they will trace all of your transactions and might found some leaks where thay can have the opportunity to crak your keys. But never it think this will be an easy work for them, it actually hard but because they are determined to do this, they have to find a way.
Well, of course, they are not dumb to spend a lot of time if they never get any and that is why they are targeting more on exchanges and whales wallets. They are unlikely not to touch casual investors, they let it live freely and never care them.
2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Considering the security factor of Altcoins? on: February 03, 2022, 02:17:31 PM
Hello guys,

Was thinking to myself how do you consider the security factor before the investment? Huh

I just started trading crypto and was debating between some coins, mostly considering the security factor of the project.

How are you checking if the code of the project is secure? don't you afraid of rug pulls? scams stolen crypto.

if you think and look for security factors, then I suggest choosing the top coins in the market. Though it can't give you the fullest security as it depends on how you manage your fund, as for that, you can still assure that you can get something from your trades. We don't need to be foolish and think for instant returns as most likely you just end up getting scammed.

Do you use any tool that aids in this kind of investigation?
Research (DYOR) is a perfect tool to do between us, nothing else. If you can do that, then you are eventually adding security to your funds.
2005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: February 03, 2022, 01:28:29 PM
One thing that I always use if the market moves confuse like now is not trying to do analysis and leave the market or just watch how the market moves. Besides that, I can calm down and release tension after trading. It works for me so I think you can try it so you can refresh your minds and when you come back to the market, you can analyze better without any tension. That is why I do not force myself to keep trading if the market is hard to analyze and that will use to save your funds from the loss.
It perhaps, what it makes confusing is that we wanted the market to follow our predictions and yet, it was not. If we just allow the market go as it was, we don't feel a headache. That's it, why not make another stuff while the market is in a situation like this, it can be soon to recover and make some profit as we did the buy earlier. That can be more confusing if we did nothing while the market is in corrections.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 03, 2022, 08:20:28 AM

Regarding a 3rd fight with Canelo, let's not close the door, Canelo's coach said in an interview that the fight can be make in the future.

I don't hear that story, if you have a source of it please do share it, I would be so interested reading this kind of interesting stuff because from what I read, it seems like no more speculation that the 3rd fight is going to happen.
2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 03, 2022, 07:37:58 AM
I agree, it's a good call if he will remain with MP promotions, no offense to Probellum, it is a good boxing promotion with Richard Schaefer at the helm.

But I think Casimero will be at home if he is with MP with the rest of the Filipino boxers. Sort of a family. There are reports that Donaire has something to do with him moving to Probellum, but Donaire has been close to Richard before so it make sense for him to move without hesitation. In any case, Liverpool it is, no doubt that Casimero will perform good at hostile crowds.

I agree on the bolded texts. MP Promotions should be the home of the Filipino champions as it is owned by the Filipino legend. Ancajas, Marcial, Magsayo are on that promotional company for some time now and got no problem with Sean Gibbons so it might be that someone from the camp of Casimero have ill-advised him that triggered the conflict.

So someone is not looking for Casimero's interest if he advises him to jump ship with Probellum. Probellum as well is loaded with a lot of fighters now so the issue might also arises there specially if they will treat Casimero different because of his background.

What about Casimero's background, I think he has no problem in his career in boxing, I mean he is good because he is winning fights and he is the current champion. If you are talking about his trash talking, then I think it's not bad after all since it's just his style in boxing and that seems effective for him.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: February 02, 2022, 01:06:42 PM
We can see for ourselves the development of NFT at the end of last year which rose so fast and attracted the attention of many crypto members, NFT is still new in crypto but has proven to be very outstanding performance so that there are some people who have benefited greatly from the results of NFT so the future NFT is no doubt in the future or this year is the year that NFT has been waiting for, the best trend has also been obtained so it is very easy for further development.
Well, it appears that they have a good start and promising look but this is not enough to give assurance to the investors that they are still profitable in the future. We couldn't assume that eveyrthing will be fine a year from now, even by just tomorrow nor to say that people will still invest NFT once they say another potential investment as for sure that they will look after them and then sell their NFT's. This is certainly be going to happen as it was already happen to the past years.

Yes, Bitcoin will
Maybe now there are some people who say that bitcoin will replace fiat currency in the future, but I never thought it would actually happen because I know that the nature of bitcoin is very different from the nature of fiat currencies in general so it is very unlikely bitcoin can replace fiat money, I think in the future bitcoin and fiat currency will continue to go hand in hand because both of them have received high trust from the public.
And yet, it can be possible but not that close to reality. People will just love to use fiat money, not cryptocurrency. Although many were in the interest of having Bitcoin in their life but just only for investment, not a currency to use. That means that they will still stick to fiat rather than spending their Bitcoin to buy stuff.
Even me, I'd never use it as it wasn't yet accepted to our place. This is a common reason why that was too hard to think that Bitcoin will replace fiat.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 01, 2022, 03:56:56 PM
Ok Warriors vs San Antonio games later. With Warriors fresh from winning against a touch Rockets and Curry scoring 40 points, I think they can win this game against the Spurs although this is back to back for them.

So I'm seeing -2.5 for the Warriors, Curry might not score 40 points, but this could turn out to be a good game with players like Thompson and Wiggins stepping up and helping Curry.

They are fresh from winning but the Spurs are the real fresh here because the Warriors could be tired due to a back to back game. I can't gamble on the Warriors with this kind of odds, I feel there's something that will happen here which the public does not expect and that is the Warriors losing to the Spurs.

The odds are deceiving but it's still hard to bet against the Warriors, if you are not so sure and you are just speculating that maybe it's just a trap or something, then I suggest that you stay away from this game.  Smiley
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 01, 2022, 02:57:57 PM
Some good news to Filipino boxing fans out there. Seems like Casimero will be heading to MP Promotions again if things will be okay with him and Sean Gibbons. We can't deny the fact that Quadro Alas is one of the most popular boxer in the Philippines right now because of his antics and boxing style, also the personality and we can say that he is one of a kind so MPP should have him back as Casimero might be their cash cow in the next few years.

Quote
MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons is reportedly trying to patch things up with WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero before the Filipino’s next fight against Paul Butler on April 23 at a yet to be determined venue in Liverpool, England.

Good for him. MP Promotions will take care of everything. It's just that Casimero is surrounded by so-called professionals who don't how managing a boxer should be done properly. I hope Casimero will consider that. No more room for any doubts.

So the venue is in Liverpool, England. I thought it will be in the US to somehow get a good live crowd at the venue.

I agree, it's a good call if he will remain with MP promotions, no offense to Probellum, it is a good boxing promotion with Richard Schaefer at the helm.

But I think Casimero will be at home if he is with MP with the rest of the Filipino boxers. Sort of a family. In any case, Liverpool it is, no doubt that Casimero will perform good at hostile crowds.

I think if Casimero was happy with MP promotion, he would stay with them, but it seems like he is not happy or not satisfied at all since he is not getting big fights under the promotion. With Probellum, maybe there's a bigger chance for him to fight Inoue which really is his main goal for now.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 01, 2022, 02:40:26 PM
We have the Phoenix Suns vs the Nets tomorrow.

Durant is out, Harden is questionable, but if he will play, he and Irving will tandem and they will give the Suns a good competition.
As per the betting lines, Suns are the heavy favorite to win, but I think nets would be able to give a great game here as long as Harden will play.
I'd be rooting on Suns here even if Harden comes to and I guess Suns will continue that winning streak of 11th game. They are 1st on FG%, 4th on 3P%, 3rd on Points Scored, and 5th on Total Rebounds, those are impressive stats for a team right now. Chris Paul will continue dominate the West I guess maybe a back to back POTW for him. By the way, their head coach will be the head coach of Team Lebron this coming All-Star and that's why they are the heavy favorite for this upcoming game with Nets.

They might be able to continue their winning streak but I doubt they'll be able to beat the Nets by more than 7 points. I'm talking about the betting odds as I will not only watch this game, I will also put a bet on it. Nets are in a 4 losing streak, so Suns are playing a desperate team here.
2013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: February 01, 2022, 02:21:44 PM
An exit strategy in my opinion needs to be a backup plan than a primary one. Because we don't know how exactly will be the market move. Everyone wants to sell high and get back into the market buying low. This can be made possible with time and not immediately. If the market is in large scale fluctuation, this might be possible. So, here we need to use the real exit strategy or the backup plan to cut the loss if market moves were against our prediction.

Hahaha, but I believe OP is following the wrong back up plan. In fact, he is following the WRONG PLAN. What he’s doing is selling his Bitcoins back to the market, back to the billionaires who will HODL them, so he can earn more fiat? He should constantly be saving, and bought the DIP during the day he made this topic. DIPs are opportunties.
absolutely right, it seems he made a wrong prediction, so he made a decision that made the sale wasted, the plan did not go according to his wishes and was too forced in my opinion. In fact, if viewed from the perspective of opportunities, this decision must be taken when bitcoin is almost strengthening, but the current situation is the opposite, there is no guarantee for the market to strengthen bitcoin.
Well, perhaps it does and most the holders will think that selling is the only way to save their money from losing it entirely.
No, nothing had made the assurance in the crypto investment and due to its volatility, the majority of our predictions went wrong. But then, we can't be hopeless of what we saw in the market today as this can be changed in the coming days, only we need to do is to have patience and stay calm.
2014  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: January 31, 2022, 10:51:55 PM
With the current conditions of the crypto market, I think there is a lot to think about before continuing to buy Bitcoin, I have unfinished belief for Bitcoin which is much more than $20,000 minimum.

Personally I'm not sure this is the lowest point, there are even more satisfying points in my opinion this year.
We'll determine the lowest point if it ever comes. But for the meantime, when it had to the lowest which was around $33k, that's already the point of others that have been probably set.

And right now, it had hit $38k and trying to force itself out of that line to get into $39k. But if you think that it's not yet comfortable to buy, you really have to wait for another low price point. It will be a matter to yourself if the recovery continues to push $40k upwards.
As seeing the market trend not to wonder that some people will ask "Am I late to buy?" I could understand that these people who keep asking when to buy and when to sell are those who certainly are in doubt about crypto. They become undecided as they new know well about the market and that kind of sentiment pished me off.
Because the point is that if we can buy at $40,000 during bullish, we can also buy at $30,000 during the bear market. The profit won't be instant and that is why we hold.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 31, 2022, 04:58:54 AM
The problem was their defense and that has been their problem for the whole year now. I do not know what they can do to fix it,

The Lakers' loss is not because of poor defense but Atlanta Hawks just really did a great job. There's a good Lakers defense but the Hawks always find a way to drain each of their shots especially during their run. Nailing shots even defended well is what they did.

In that game, I will prefer to discuss how the Hawks win, and not why the Lakers lose.

The Lakers also had a good field goal percentage this match. However, they grabbed fewer rebounds than the Hawks, and their free throws were awful. I would even say that the Lakers made free throws like Shaq. As for me, this was one of the main reasons why they lost this game. At least if they had scored 11 easy points from the free-throw line, then the outcome of the match could have been completely different.

Every time the Lakers lose we always have something to say, in short, they are not really doing well and they are disappointing us. Having a losing streak is not a characteristic of the Lakers, it only started this season because they welcome new guys and send their role players to the other teams which the other teams have benefited.

2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: January 28, 2022, 09:52:33 PM
I look forward to the day when BNB will be $1000. There are some stirrings after the recent regulations. $390 became the resistance point.

$1000 is not an unrealistic price, however, I think it won't be happening this year. We have to wait for the next bull run for BNB to break its ATH and I think this year is going to be bearish so save some funds for accumulation while waiting for this very wondering price to happen.

In the volatile market period, BNB is the only cryptocurrency that I have not lost hope for. I set a target of $750 for BNB at the end of the first half of 2022. We will evaluate this together in the future.

Volatility is here whether the market is bullish or bearish, but if the market remains bearish, that $750 is not going to happen as well.
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the end of crypto? on: January 28, 2022, 09:32:40 PM
Do not be too quick to make conclusions, because in trade, it is commonplace for prices to rise and fall. I think the currency is growing from time to time...
Normal to see people having their conclusion quickly.

But just look at bitcoin now, almost near to $38k again and that's a good price to see after a big correction that has been made. If it's the end of bitcoin then there's a chance that it will be the end of all cryptos.

Although there are the cryptos that are dying eventually because they have small volume and obviously the scam projects also dies.

As the price dump, people panic, when the opposite happens people get hype, that's a normal thing. However, the current recovery for me is not fully confirmed until bitcoin will hit $40k again, at this price range it's moving, I still have doubt that we are safe from a possible dump as for me, the bear season is already here and mostly the movement is going to be downtrends.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell us about the best altcoin in the current situation. on: January 28, 2022, 08:35:18 PM
The market has been going downhill for some time now. In order to get the best return in such a situation, which altcoin should we invest in that gives us the maximum benefit?
It seems like we know what. Actually, if you are willing to invest in the current situation,  you should learn how to minimize the risk and that is by diversifying your investment. Don't talk about altcoin, talk more on altcoins because there are plenty of coins in the market that could provide a return, just DYOR and you'll be fine.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 28, 2022, 08:20:51 PM
I see a really nice game between Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers tonight. Clippers are having a so unlucky season that they don't have Paul George and Kawhi Leonard due to long-lasting injuries. But they are still holding onto the playoff zone as strong as possible now. And Heat are just amazing now. They are the leader of their conference now. They are showing a really great performance this season and I already wonder about what they would do in the playoffs. As for this game, I'm favouring Heat to win for sure.

Heat will win this, I also favor them to win on their home court, however, the betting line or the point spread is very high, I think the Clippers will be able to cover it as they are still very competitive despite losing their 2 all stars (Leonard and George).  I know I will enjoy watching this game, I hope my expectation that it will be a close game will happen.  Smiley
