that ssl thing is only good for mining software makers, plain old users don't benefit anything from it.
i would say it only slows down things a little bit because of the encryption-decryption process.

I don't see it being necessary at all, considering how it doesn't affect any good hackers.

This is protection from government spying.

mixing threads eh ?

That's ok but any benefits (faster speeds, better stability) for mining?
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.4 (Windows/Linux) on: December 10, 2016, 02:41:10 PM
Why does it say that using a local stratum proxy causes more stale shares ?
Is that true?

I have a few machines on my lan and don't want to setup every machine once i change a pool, that's what a proxy is for.

On the contrary it should reduce them especially if you have multiple miner on the same network.

Well yeah, that's logical for me too, but try to point claymore miner to a local address, and see for yourself what it says Smiley

or do this

if you have a modded bios AMD turned on drivers signing  so you can do one of two things use a modded version of the Drivers or sign your own bios which is possible but harder to do over patching the atikmdag.sys kernel .

you can by pass it like this

http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx480-rx470-rx460/1050#post_25699216

 and it does work .

I'm using The new AMD driver with a modded bios after i patch the driver, i Like the new driver and using it with no issue at all other then the driver signing junk .

Why would i do all that patching stuff ? Is it worth it ? Those drivers are better for mining or ?

no one else except me is bothered with the fact that it takes waaaay too long to confirmed mined coins ?
2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 07, 2016, 09:33:04 PM
Sapphire Nitro Rx480 8gb 255h/s .  You are the best Claymore.

how do you get 255 ? I get 222 on sapphire nitro 480.. Do you have bios mod ?

Try 1420/2195

its the 1420 that is working here, the 2195 is useless it could be 2050 would be almost the same hashrate
2989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 07, 2016, 09:32:05 PM
470 8 gb nitro = 220 sol with 1300/2000

If something happened with your system or hardware - it's Claymore! I saw messages that my miners destruct GPUs, PSUs, crash Windows etc. I won't be surprised when someone discovers that the milk always goes bad because of using my miners.
If you think that I write viruses instead of miners and you are the one who finally discovered it, it's a good idea to read OP or Readme:

......
- Windows 10 Defender recognizes miner as a virus, some antiviruses do the same. Miner is not a virus, add it to Defender exceptions.
I write miners since 2014. Most of them are recognized as viruses by some paranoid antiviruses, perhaps because I pack my miners to protect them from disassembling, perhaps because some people include them into their botnets, or perhaps these antiviruses are not good, I don't know. For these years, a lot of people used my miners and nobody confirmed that my miner stole anything or did something bad.
Note that I can guarantee clean binaries only for official links in my posts on this forum (bitcointalk). If you downloaded miner from some other link - it really can be a virus.
However, my miners are closed-source so I cannot prove that they are not viruses. If you think that I write viruses instead of good miners - do not use this miner, or at least use it on systems without any valuable data.
......

wow, didn't know that software can destruct PSUs Cheesy

I think there is something wrong with Ethereum and Claymore's miner...

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY MY CONSPIRACY THEORY, AND I COULD BE WRONG!

1. What if Claymore is a programmer from Ethereum team?
- He or they can create the most efficient Ethereum miner closed-source software.

2. What if he or they hide the real hash rate and get more than 1% developer fee?
- I have proof of this, one of my cheapest Sapphire RX 470 4GB (from Overclockers UK - £150 on Black Friday) has 35.15MH/s and NO REJECTED SHARES!

Using the same server with the same cards  I should get 27.75MH/s on every card, but on one I get 35.15MH/s (working for 43 hours!)
If this is true, one person or group can receive not 1% but 21% of our Ethereum AND THIS IS FRAUD ON A GLOBAL SCALE!!!

My screenshot, I can upload a video on YouTube...

More coming soon on my website www.FirstEver.eu and my Youtube channel...

sir,you are stupid.

price dropping, confirmations slowing.
No reason to mine anymore.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 02, 2016, 09:57:14 AM
OCMiner, why did xzc confirmations slow down so much??

I had mined xzc on suprnova and the xzc confirmation was too low . it's over 24hours but no any confirmations.
Please check it now Ocminer. Thanks

Sorry there is nothing I can do about confirmations, they are set by the coin/network.

Thanks for the info. So we need an answer from the zcoin team.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: December 02, 2016, 09:56:35 AM
sorry for such uncomfortable question but... for what do you want to mine XZC? for dumping it currently at low price near of 0.3 dollar? XZC each day makes new low.

Haha, this one is good. I mine it because i have hope in good days Cheesy

Alright, coding is done. I need to tweak parameters quite a bit to get optimal performance, though.
I will keep you guys updated.
we are waiting Smiley
Could be possible to get better performance than optiminer6?
There is no more Optiminer due to an idiot trying to sell workaround with devfee...

there is optiminer, if you downloaded it before Smiley

i guess this is not possible with clymore right? so it was something that optiminer did wrong with his fee in his build

i would say it's possible, if communication protocol is plain json.

optiminer version has dev fee ?
I got this at the same time on all my miners with different workers :

This looks like you specified a wrong username.worker and password?

No, i think it was a pool problem because this happened on all the computers i am mining with, at the same time, but all the computers have different workers.
