^ i meant what settings? -h ? -dmem ?
core/mem freq ?
-a 1 -h 896 core 1120 mem 1625 -----------edit -dmem default Thank you! Probably that's it, i figured 896 is the optimal hashcnt for those cards, but my core freq is much lower (900) lol. I get ~630 with 900/1580 View thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1619118.0. This will help you to reduce energy consumption and raise the frequency of core and memory. Good luck no need for this, got everything set up already, made a custom strap and bios mods. Just forgot im running core low because i mined eth before lol. Thank you for your time mate

This version is not so easy to use because you have to adjust "-h" and "-dmem" values often, I will try to improve it soon. 1. "-dmem 1" requires twice more memory, make sure you have enough virtual memory. For example, if you have 6 GPUs 8GB, set virtual memory to 6*8=48GB. 2. Check how much memory miner allocates, it shows something like "(Memory used: 5128MB)", make sure you have this memory on your GPU. 3. You can see low hashrate if you use almost all memory on GPU, try to reduce "-h" value a bit.
Guys if you are getting the "GpuMiner dk2an0 failed" error, be sure to note Claymore's comments above. I was initially getting the same error with my RX480 8GB rig. Lowering to -h 1024 will solve the issue but make the program only see 4GB on my cards. After changing page file to 48GB, the miner runs beautifully with default -h and -dmem settings. Ellesmere RX480 8GB, same modded BIOS, default miner settings: CryptoNote Miner 9.7 - 850 H/s CryptoNote Miner 10 - 987 H/s Thanks Claymore! so you say you don't use any flags but increased page file to 48gb and now you get 987hs ?

Let me help you guys with 4gb cards:
-h 928 -dmem 1
can't get better than this with 4gb.
-h and -dmem are related, so if you increase hashcnt and are using dmem 1, then it will try to initialize more mem than the card has.
ex : -h 1800 and dmem 1 crash a 4gb card because it tries to allocate too much mem

and another 6 hours of mining gone...enough is enough.
i don't get it why everybody wants dual miner dual miner, well if you want to mine 2 or more coins at the same time, then run 1 miner for 1 and a second miner for the other.
surpnova dies too often, don't know why is that, i like it more than MPH, but i lost 6 hours of mining last night because of that, so if that continues i have to change pool..
i think 29.6 is very nice too
Are you using the new bios (MING-8GD/F11/058A) or the old one with "normal" straps?
anyone else having problems on suprnova? it started last night, gpu miner accepts shares only every 5 minutes, only ~200 shares overnight, and cpu miner loses connection every 10 minutes, and 0 earnings over the last day.
+1 0 earnings from suprnova same thing. Connection to the pool drops exactly every 4 minutes.

XMR-Stak-AMD 1030 H/s "gpu_thread_num" : 2 "gpu_threads_conf" : [ { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 1728, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false } { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 1728, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false } ] 1728 is indeed the best intensity for 480 cards with xmr stak. Lol, i never tried to run 2 threads with xmr stak this way Because you ignore Vega thread ))) true, i won't have a vega card in the near future so im not really interested in that thread )

these errors you talk about, are they in HWInfo ? If you get 1 error/hour that is nothing. this bios does not contain straps after 1500, it's not that pbe is not showing them, it's just there are no straps after 1500 in the table they should be. I got a feeling that this is one step they took to move miners off their gaming cards. The data is probably there but maybe hardcoded in the command table I haven't explored this bios, but you really think they hide straps after 1500MHz? I tought they only not use straps after that. So if you change timing for 1500Mhz and OC more than 1750MHz or what the next step is it gets stock timing again? i don't have this card but i do hope you are right If i were them i would do this, to scare away miners from these cards, and force them to buy miner models.

i get around 925hs 1130/2050 approx 85-90w for the whole gpu for a sapphire 470 8g
That's very good, what miner do you use? sgminer 5.5.5 gm
