So it seems that businesses are themselves closing their terms with the Russians. Restaurants, Visa/Mastercard, Swift and lot of other companies are quitting their services in Russia. I wonder if there is any announcement by the gambling sites to stop there services for Russians. If the war continues and is prolonged, we may see gambling sites updating their term of services and adding Russia in their prohibited countries list.
If it were a gambling site in Russia, maybe they would move their hosting from Russia to another country that wasn't involved in the war. But since the gambling sites are on the internet and are not located somewhere in Russia, they will be easier to move. Yes, it could be that the terms changed on that site because they didn't want to get into trouble. But even though many businesses are shutting down in Russia, it looks like Russia can still survive because they still have resources at their disposal. Maybe this will create disturbances in other things that can happen considering that Russia has some resources sent to other countries such as oil and so on. Exactly my sentiment. If you wanted to really sanction online gambling platforms everywhere on the internet, you would need to sanction all online gambling coming out of countries where the russians could possibly relocate all their servers. And even then whats to say there arent more ways to relocate? What if they just used a third party for their relocation of servers or a third party to act as heads of gambling companies... What does this mean? It means sanctioning oil or gas coming out of Russia is possible, as it is something physical. But its not possible for online services. People are getting too crazy about sanctioning. Its all a hype now. |

That is quite messed up. Why would you deprive a people running from war from their valuables? I understand if they have coffers with millions of dollars with them, but a few measly thousand and a some nice jewelry? Thats disgusting. Shame on whichever countries do this. Another excellent reason why the people should move all their money into Bitcoin. Get your money out of the hands of the governments and never worry about having it confiscated.

They want to gtfo asap and don't know of any possibilities. Because the world is currently unfairly biased against all Russians, I doubt they will get refugee status in nearby countries and they might get arrested if found trying to cross the border. I wouldn't put it past Putler to put them all in Siberian Gulags for life...
Not possible to just go "on holiday" to china, flying out from there? Kind of like jumping out of the pan into the fire, isn't it? They even send North Korean refugees back to face their deaths in NK. Not a good bet to take. Get passports and fly to Armenia or some other country that doesn't require visas. Some allow staying up to 6-12 months, some (Georgia IIRC) will reset the counter if you leave just for a day, so basically indefinitely.
Kazakhstan (no visa up to 90 days) might be cheaper to travel to if flight tickets to other countries are sold out, which they most likely are.
Don't try smuggling, that won't end well.

Russia stipulates that passengers must be Russian or Finnish citizens, a visa is required, and passengers must prove they have an EU-recognised Covid vaccination, not the Sputnik dose which is most commonly given in Russia. Doubt that will work, they have the Sputnik crap and no visa. It takes ages to confirm for visa in Russia, and even then it probably won't happen. Ive been trying to get a workers Visa for my friend since January 2021. First attempt failed. For some reason which they refuse to say, they did not grant it. Second application still processing since 4 months or so. I see no hope with getting visas. So the Polish chickened out and passed the hot potato to sleepy Joe? Lets see if the US has the balls to actually deliver to Ukraine. |

As much as I understand the Bitcoin network, it would basically just adjust the difficulty appropriately and it would become easier to mine the rest of the Bitcoin. As far as price goes, I think, unless demand for Bitcoin goes up, we will see more supply with a stable demand. So this and we would also definitely see a lot of FUD and that would scare the price down. But there is no point in speculating just yet. Bitcoin is, was and always will be a safe bet as an investment option. Even if WW3 were to break out.
So, no worries just yet.

This made me go further in the article to find more about Gambling disorder, according to the current education, it's categorized under impulsive disorder, in the US they are actually treated with medicine like : Mood stabilizers, Opioids, antidepressants and antipsychotic pills. Is your country doing enough to inform people about the disorder? It's does require medical treatment first and foremost therefore I do think I would suggest anyone banning their accounts and asking help from social platforms to go to a certified therapist. It's not a joke and should not be taken lightly. Do you think the laws needs improvement? Do you think as the parents mentioned that Gambling industry has a *predatory* stance, is true? From what I am reading, it would seem that the Healthcare industry has a *predatory* stance. Why on earth would anyone give Opioids or antipsychotics to a gambling addict? Hes not private Ryan with his legs blown off or a schizophrenic. A gambling addiction is just like any other addiction. Fat people are food addicts, perverts are sex addicts, crackheads are drug addicts. There are ways to deal with them and help them out of financial trouble situations or offer medical advice, but an addict is an addict. Its just how their brain is wired. Not sure exactly what this is supposed to be. Aimless boycotting as a sign of solidarity is just as stupid as sanctioning Russians living in foreign countries as a show of solidarity. Do you really believe boycotting these casinos will in any way hurt Russia? Provide some proof for that theory. I see absolutely no point and all you are doing is jumping on the aimless boycott hype-bandwagen. China is going to watch both sides and take every opportunity to make a profit, no matter how inhumane. China has never done anything out of morality, so I would not expect them to start shedding tears over dead ukrainian children. But then again, these notions of mine come from a historical view of what China has been doing the past years and how opportunistic their actions have been.
In fact, if Russia wins this war, they will be on the Russians side. If they lose, they probably will make it seem like they were against Russia the whole time.
No point in saying I do not trust China.

Well friendo, sorry to hear about your bitcoin balance troubles. But I think we need a few more details before we can make an assessment of why your Bitcoin balance is not showing up as it should be. The first question that comes to mind would be: which wallet are you using? It might just be an user interface problem, most likely. In the worst case scenario you might have gotten hacked but thats the least likely thing to have happened, if you were careful with your passwords/keys/seed phrases. Depending on the wallet, you might have to wait a while and refresh. |

If you are planning on to use a VPN to use a gambling site then be prepares to get your funds frozen on the gambling site. Make sure you read the terms and conditions of the site before you register on it and find out if the site asks for KYC. At some point of time if they started asking KYC then you will either have to complete KYC or your funds might be as well be frozen. Even then if you want to go ahead then gamble with only an amount that you can afford to lose. I am afraid I am going to have to agree with the VPN warning here. Although personally, I have yet to hear of a VPN banned individual who was caught using VPN services or an online gambling casino which explicitely bans the use of VPN services, I would probably still play it safe and not use any kind of VPN. These online casinos do sometimes seem to endorse and enforce arbitrary rules on what they deem suspicious activity. And once they freeze your account and your funds, you will find it a hard time to restore them. Especially with, as you said, your somewhat questionable swedish KYC documents. I am not familiar with Swedens laws on online gambling. Best to leave the risky VPN stuff aside. |

To start a casino first they need good team who can solve any technical issues and make their site complete before starting any promotional works because if there is any glitch the iser or the casino might lose huge money. Be transparent is what the next option I will choose, which will gain trust and attract more investors so the casino can grow bigger since its not really possible to grow with your own money alone.
Then add games which is unique so user can play on your casino, if its just same as others it will take too long to bring the traffic.
I would probably have to disagree with you on the matter of what you need first, in order to start your casino. You need funds to start anything. Without funds, you have no team, no marketing, no anything. So securing people who would invest their time and money on you is hard. What we need is a gambling site which is as decentralised as possible and which does not store funds.
This idea is only good for the business, yes its somewhat secure the funds, but not a customer-friendly. If this is executed by a smart contract imagine you need to pay fee for transaction or gas everytime you bet from your wallet. This is not reasonable and no users will last not unless the fee is too small that it cannot affect enough your wallet balance. Since bitcoin doesnt have smart contract that works like that then the gambling site will only work using its token? Nah, I don't think it can gather lots of users here though. You cab call it a revolutionary or secured, but nevermind. Well, if you consider smart contracts and cryptocurrencies of blockchains like for example, the Binance Smart Chain, then you pay mere cents for each bet. That does not sound like a lot to me? So you pay 14 cents and you bet instead of 1 USD, 86 cents. if you want. Seems fair. Even for the poorest among us, that kind of gambling should be affordable. Most bet at least 10 USD so the 14 cent fee won't even be noticable. Perhaps there can be some sort of bonus system to even out the fees? i am in need for such developer that create such, but does it run like the normal non smart contract dice games? are there any examples ? Thats a question you could ask in the other subforums of Bitcointalk. Project development and services would be good places to start looking for people that may be able to help you with the answers. I myself am no expert on developing smart contracts or even gambling software coding. Services subforum has developer experts looking to get hired for a job and the project development subforum has many people like yourself, working on different areas of diverse projects. Less money? What is the point of banning sports teams that have nothing to do with whats going on in the world of geopolitical events?
Are the Russians everywhere in the world supposed to hang their heads in shame and not say a word against their bank accounts being frozen, despite having nothing to do with Russia, while living in a foreign country?
At this point, all the Russian hatred is becoming a popular social fad, and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. The most disgusting examples are celebrities who pretend to care about Ukraine but find a way to make it about themselves.

BREAKING: Visa and MasterCard are reportedly shutting down their services in Russia. Damn. Looks like a PR move. Most banks were already under sanctions so those cards already couldn't be used outside of Russia. And appears they already covered their ass and domestic transactions in Russia will continue to work. It'll only affect tourists trying to use their cards inside Russia, not sure how many of those are still in Russia.
