Norrie vs Basilashvili, first set already, Norrie is the favorite but still a tough call, so I went over with this match and hopefully we can witness another three setter of a match, just like the ladies.

Still Norrie in the end, he lost the 1st set, but eventually recovered and then really outclassed Basilashvili 6-1 in the last set. I thought that Basilashvili could pulled an upset here after winning the 1st set.

Didn't check the odds live bet, but I think when he lost the 1st set there could have been shift in the odds in favour of Basilashvili.

Yeah, I also did went Over 21.5 in this match @1.8x with boosted odds so good win in the end.
3022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations for crypto currencies on: October 17, 2021, 02:07:52 PM
Regulatory issues for cryptocurrency have actually been around for a long time.  In fact, it was several years ago.  But it seems, in the past year or so, it has become a serious topic of discussion in several countries.  And it seems, some countries will soon implement it.  What I personally think is, if true, many countries start implementing regulations for crypto currency, will this change the nature of crypto, namely decentralization to not being fully decentralized?  What do your friends think here?  Please share, hopefully this can add insight for all of us 😊🙏

It's because we are about to cross another all time high, and that's why we will hear against regulatory bodies globally trying to put a clamp on bitcoin. This is so reminiscent of the 2017 bull run, and after, the same that we are witnessing right now, so it is also a cycle.

And with El Salvador making it a legal tender, no doubt that we will have the eyes of those regulatory bodies again. However, they can't do anything as bitcoin is too big to fall now. We have seen the worst regulations already so I'm not sure what more then need.
3023  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k price recovery achieved on: October 17, 2021, 01:17:18 PM
Yes, I believe this has been a good bitcoin recovery cycle since late April. In fact, it is clear that the market is reacting well and the value of the recovery has represented the complete elimination of the Chinese FUD, which is what which we have never done in the past.

Bitcoin is getting closer to the previous ATH, a moderate swing at $60k is showing that accumulation and holding efforts have formed consistently. The possibility of breaking out to the area of 68k - 70k when we have taproot in November is huge. But I doubt how the outcome of the bitcoin ETF will affect the market tomorrow.

Or maybe another ETF approval may have pushed the price to another all time high this month. And as you have said, the taproot is one of the most anticipated released for this year, so around $80k in November and then the "expected", 6 digits in December.

But it was a tough road to all of us since May, when the price goes down to $28k. And lucky for those holders who keeps on accumulating at that the price because it is already a realised profit today when we breach $60k. I'm sure though we are not going to sell until we have $100k or more.
3024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 17, 2021, 11:32:27 AM

Boxers do take it personally, like what Canelo is for the Caleb fight. And the same here, Davis will definitely go for the KO because he is capable of, and in essence shut the mouth of Romero and give him a lesson not to trash talk to him and any champion.

It seems they hate each other there were circumstances where they almost clash in the street, it's just right that this match is created people love to see bath blood between fighters so they will see if who has the better control of his temper, this Romero is very brazen and arrogant he is telling people that Davis cannot touch, that's impossible Davis is so good at hurting his opponent, even if the opponent has a huge height and reach advantage.

Is that what they are talking about? Saying that this two has history before?

I'm not aware of such clash in the street? Is it when they are still promising fighters or when they are already professional?

In any case, this could be a good story line and maybe this is the reason why the Davis camp chooses Romero instead of chasing the other champion in this division.

It was not in the street though, do some research and this is what I found out:

Quote
“When they were at the [Errol]Spence-[Danny]Garcia fight last year in Texas, me and Floyd had to pull them apart. They were ready to bump right there. We thought they were gonna bump. Hell, if we didn’t pull them apart it would have been a better fight than Spence-Garcia turned out to be.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-ceo-on-davis-romero-better-let-them-fight-ring-street--161163

So why not a better way to finished the animosity between the two but inside the ring. And the good thing is that both fighters are promoted by Floyd himself. So no problem to set up the fight and that what we are getting in December. But I think Romero is still raw talent and he might swallow more than he can chew against a prime Davis.

Ah OK, and since both are being under Floyd's company it make sense that they will somewhat create some hype because eventually they will have to fight it out. So good marketing, I think it was setup by Floyd setup to create hype specially on his new prospect Romero. Because he knows for sure that Davis can knock out this kid, but if Romero upsets Davis, then they can have a rematch. All money goes in to Floyd's pocket.

It was really stage by Floyd, Rolly might be good, but he needs Romero to be a household name in the US. And what better way but to pit him against his another prospect Gervonta Davis.

And even if Romero loss here, he maybe getting the recognition and down the line he might be given another chance to fight someone for the belt. And if he become a champion then Floyd as a promoter will definitely get big money from this kid.
3025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 17, 2021, 10:41:49 AM
^^ And you can't really compare the 2012/2013 Lakers to the current roster. So that argument is flaw in the beginning. The Lakers of today might be competitive though, majority of them joined just to have that one ring, so for sure they will do everything.

The only point of contention for the Lakers is the chemistry - but that's understandable, the season hasn't started yet and people are bashing them basing on the preseason games, Lol.

If we are in the middle of the season and the Lakers are like 20-20 then maybe there is a problem within the team. But at this point wherein the regular technically has started, we cannot say that they are doom to fail because of the chemistry issue.
Yes, you're right, but this 12/13 Lakers team technically speaking, was an excellent team, as virtually all of the top players were AllStars.
But unfortunately that Lakers team didn't have an expected result.

So, pre-season is a "warm-up" as I said earlier and fans can't take it off like it's a regular season or playoffs. Does not make sense.

Look, if the Lakers team in this season is very well aligned and has a good chemistry between the players and especially without injuries, I even believe that this team was one of the best teams the Lakers ever had, of course behind Kareen & Magic Jhonson, Kobe & Shaq and also behind the 09/10 team.

Yeah, but what I see in this season's line up, Lebron will still be the alpha of the team no matter what. Even if there is Westbrook or Carmelo, it will still be Lebron who will lead the team. And as we can see, Westbrook or Carmelo already acknowledge it in public.

As compare to the previous Lakers of 12/13, all of them wanted to be the alpha and that's the reason maybe the team crumbles and never make it to the finals even if they look solid on papers.

I'm tempted to back Norrie now actually, given the way he dismantled his (higher ranked) opponent in his last match.

it is really interesting to see four players in the semi-final, and neither is a bit of favorite
Norrie is good, Dimitrov is more experienced, and I expect good match, but Norrie to win, probably under games is good bet, since threshold is high, and Dimitrov is famous to give up, if lose first set, one turn-around on this tournament is more than enough for him

Norrie could win this masters as well

It was Norrie indeed, 2 setter win, 6-2, 6-4 and it was Under.

I was hoping that Dimitrov will continue his run, he has been playing good in this tournament overall. He was really cool in this game, as Dimitrov really tries to come back in the second. Norrie break him in the first game in the 2nd set, but it was not very easy, Dimitrov fends off 3 break points. But this is just want Norrie needed.

[..snip..]

So the stage are set: Norrie vs Basilashvili. Who you do think will win in the finals?

Norrie is the favourite @1.54 ML. But it might be good if he can cover the spread -2.5 @1.84

or over 22.5 @1.90. I think the game will be in 3 sets here as both are really playing very good tennis. Maybe Basilashvili will take the 1st set and not Norrie coming back to win the last 2 and be the champion of this tournament this year.

This is how I'm seeing the finals match, so goodluck to all bettors.
3027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 16, 2021, 11:29:06 PM
These $60k+ prices basically say that we are way too close to ATH and believe me that it will take some time.
I believe that we are just start of the bull run because that ATH breaking is a very hard thing. Did you catch what was the longest time that took for us last time we tried to break ATH?

You mean the $19k++ last all time high in 2017? it took us 3 years to break that and then we continue up to 2021's massive spike to $64k.

I mean from $10k to $64k the place we stopped was basically $20k price and it took us a long time to break that and eventually we managed to break that and from there to $64k it was a lot easier. Which means that whenever you want to break ATH it takes a long time because there are too many people end up worrying what is going to happen and that is the problem, if we are not sure if it will break ATH or not then we are not sure what is going to happen and that is why we are going to wait and see and not buy during the ATH price and it will become very hard to break that.

And yet we are now in the position to break $64k, just like $3k-$4k and we can absolutely breach that next week. So I guess it will be easier that we thought, there are a lot of good news around and no doubt that it will influence many investors, old and new to pour their money again because of the expectations that $100k can be hit in December.
3028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 16, 2021, 10:56:35 PM
Practice is different from the actual fight, although Canelo is exceptionally good we can never guarantee a win since Caleb would surely work to increase his chance of winning this fight. Canelo is getting better and better every time, but he is not perfect, he could also make a mistake that might cause him a defeat.

I agree with you that Canelo is not perfect but even Caleb is doing great from practice and working hard to increase his chance to win the fight, Canelo is also having the same. A great example that Caleb doesn't have that good reflexxes is when Canelo is able to throw a punch on his face at their press conference. That was actually easy to avoid but Caleb is not paying attention. Now that it happened, Caleb should watch for that.

He did not see the punch coming. What if they already inside the ring, and that punch got a good combo? He might suffer a KO by that time?

It's interesting and both camps are hardly prepared for this fight. Bookies are in favor of Alvarez, good for those gamblers who will side to Plant if upset takes place.  Wink Roll Eyes

He was slow and never anticipate that Canelo will throw a punch on him.

Caleb doesn't have good movement, maybe because in his previous fights, he was the aggressor early and his opponents keeps backing up. But this time he will be in the defense, he can't just push Canelo because he will be meet by those body shots and left hooks or uppercut.

Of course bookies are going to favor Alvarez, he is the A-side and the better fighter. Not underestimating Plant, but it is obvious that Canelo might get that 0 from him.

3031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 16, 2021, 09:31:27 PM
No update yet regarding the schedule of the fight? Is it going to happen this year or next year?
As far as I know they are planning to have this match this December, same thing with Casimero since they both now under one promotion team. They are already fixing the schedule and I’d hope that this match will push through this year, let’s wait for their final announcement. Donaire is still a good fighter as his age, he will continue to fight for sure so this is an exciting Filipino match!

Right, the target is still this year, it's doable and I think it make sense to have this fight on December as people are more willing to pay to watch this fight live or thru ppv.

Donaire is good as his last fight, so we will assume that he still has it because he was able to knock out Ouballi. Although a bit old and I would say slower as well, but the power is still there. As for Reymart, up and coming and wanting to proved that he is also a great champion from the Philippines.
3032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 15, 2021, 02:23:28 PM
I believe the drama between Donaire and Casimero is already water under the bridge now. Because I have seen in one of the YT videos, Donaire's father had even good times with Casimero before Casimero left the US after his fight with Rigo. So the past issue may just be misunderstanding. It is boxing, so being professional here will be a good factor if they want to grow their respective careers.

Casimero apologizes prior to the announcement of their new mandatory fight. I think the drama he started is just part of the marketing and it was effective I think. There is no way he will mock a fellow PH boxer in a serious manner. All about just attention but unfortunately, ended with the fight against Donaire got canceled.

About this mandatory fight, I have noticed that Casimero is still not vocal about the fight. Maybe he was advised not to throw trash talks for now?

Probably waiting for the final date before making some trash talks in the public.

Or he doesn't want to trash talk his opponents, because he knows that it might be not effective because they are not in the same league.

And it's good to really hear that they patches things up, and that they are now with the same promotional company.

Casimero is not vocal because this mandatory fight is not a big one, maybe he will just focus on beating his challenger and start searching for a big fight again. I understand Casimero, he tried to gain the attention of the people by his trash-talking technique but he was not able to get big fights yet, but he should not stop, keep winning and eventually, he would be able to fight with Inoue, and it's gonna happen for sure as he is under new promotion management now.

He can't really do anything because this is a mandatory fight. Yeah, definitely, he is now under new management so the first day of business is to really win this fight and not to trash talk but focus on his training and it will be better if he can knock him out. This will send message to anyone, including Inoue and thus will create hype if ever they fight next year.
3033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 15, 2021, 01:13:27 PM
^^ And with that said, hmm, I'm started to lean on Kambosos to make an upset here, LOL.

The odds are very attractive and who knows, George has so much time in this side to study Lopez  that him and his team has somewhat devise a strategy on how to beat Lopez here.

So the match is still intriguing that I'm tempted to put a small bet on Kambosos now.

Why not?

George is a decent fighter, we might not have heard him before, but looking at his previous fight in youtube, he seems to be a good fighter with a good heart.

So definitely he could be a live dog here, 6-1 underdog, that is already a very attractive for us. Even a small bet will yield good results. But I still wanted to see the official weigh-in so see them during face-off, 2 brandish fighter, hopefully there will be no scuffle and put all their energy in the fight.
3034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 15, 2021, 12:18:13 PM
I'm gonna take that odds, this fight will not gonna go to the distance, Canelo is motivated to knockout Plant because of the disrespectful manners of Plant during the press conference. Actually, I have never seen Canelo this angry during the press conference in his previous fights, and guess what, he still dominate his opponent so most likely this is an exemption, he would dominate and KO his opponent early, 1-3 rounds is my prediction.

Dude, no one is saying here that Caleb is going to win. But you are taking this too far. If Caleb was someone who gets knocked out in the first 3 rounds, then he wouldn't be fighting Canelo in the first place. What do you really think about this match? When was the last time we had a unification match where someone got knocked out within the first 3 rounds? Show some respect to Caleb, as he earned his fight against Canelo. At least he has remained undefeated so far at the ring (although it is not going to matter much against Canelo).

Haha, show some respect @Finestream, what is your basis that Caleb will be knockout within the first 3 rounds? I think that's unlikely since Caleb has never KO before and he also knows how to protect himself as a champion, however, no one can predict what would happen so let's see.

Well he already said it, Caleb disrespected his mother so Canelo should be extra motivated to knock him out early.

However, it will not be an easy task, and if Canelo's mindset is like that, it might backfire on him as he is looking for a knockout. And Canelo is known to be a slow starter, that's why the under 10.5 might be a good bet for us. He usually gets hot after 4-5 rounds and starts to dismantle his opponents. But probably 1-3 rounds is like "a get to feel your opponent and see how he react" for Canelo.
3035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 15, 2021, 11:31:40 AM
In other news knicks looking solid.  Got good depth this year hopefully they can stay healthy.  Got that Christmas game against the Hawks circled.  Should be an interesting game knowing how last season ended.  I'm sure Randle will be up for that one.  Think the Knicks can squeeze a couple more wins than they did last year with this squad (pending kemba can stay off the injury report too often)  it's like the Knicks are a graveyard of great guards with past knee issues.

I agree, who wouldn't forget the Knicks last year? They have pulled a string of victories, 8 or 9 and they've always been the underdogs. That's why betting on Knicks is really very good strategy last season as they always overcome the odds.

And now it seems that they are more complete right now, and hopefully DRose and Julius Randle can lead the team again in a tough Eastern Conference.

They have enough to be relevant but they need one of the young guys like rj to really step up.  If Mitchell Robinson can just stay on the court he dominates games underneath, he changes the Knicks.  Taj is alright but he has limitations.  Mitch, rj or IQ have to really step up for them to get far.  The vets are the vets they need someone else to be the x factor.  (Desperate knick fan here  Grin)

I think RJ did really step up last season, but probably fall short in the playoffs since that is their first time. So give them some time to adjust and get to the next level.

Taj is more of a defensive player now, not longer an offensive weapon but can still score if needed. Specially those mid range jumper. Julius hopefully can continue his run and play like an MVP. I mean consistency is the key here. They just come to life after the all star break, just image if they sustain that run and started hot.
3036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 15, 2021, 10:57:45 AM
Indian Wells is full of surprises this year and I am mostly skipping betting on it. I caught good handicaps yesterday on Dimitrov, Zverev and Fritz but lost my multi on Pegula anyway.

I believe this loss from Medvedev means Djokovic will finish the year as number one.

Lol, to be honest mate, I wanted to reach out to you by PM and see what's up with you, I haven't seen you posting in this thread for a while.
There was no high profile tournaments before Indian Wells and I don't like to post when I am not actually watching or betting on something.

Indian Wells is also at a time which is too late for me to watch, except for first matches and those are usually bad. Tennis is a sport which you have to watch in order to judge form properly so I am sort of out of it at the moment. Will be back when the tour gets back to more friendly time zones.

Ok mate, makes sense. Same here, I can only watch and bet on few matches and it's very early here, like 6 am.

As I have said previously, in the Norrie vs Schwartzman, I was really suprised that Schwartzman has reach the quarter, so I bet against him against Norrie.

First semis, Norrie vs Dimitrov, I call that this match will go on 3 sets so Over @1.89, very attractive odds already.
3037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Competition] Private Key for 1BTC wallet hidden in a music clip on: October 15, 2021, 10:28:38 AM
It's more like finding the recovery seed instead of the private keys.

Also, this is sounds like a new gimmick to get more views of the youtube vid, and there's no way people can confirm that recovery seed and bitcoin price actually exists, so its only a waste of time, not unless he/they proves that the price exists.

Most probably, looking at the youtube videos, is has 271k views already.

I don't know how google algorithm and analytics works but it seems he has making some money just on the views alone, so yeah, it's very effective.

They all are under the guise of "anonymous" donor and for sure the winner could be "anonymous" too.
3038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 14, 2021, 11:30:43 AM
And now we're retesting the $60k barrier.

Actually we are still just under 58k. We went to 58500 and then back to lower values.
And I think that one reason is psychological and related to European traders: the current "barrier" is 50k EUR  Wink
Let's give it a bit more time. We'll pass this too.

Yes, we have seen this kind of movement before, getting past the biggest resistance, but then followed by some sell-off. I think this was the case with $48k last September as well and if my memory serves me right, it took us like 3 or 4 times before we finally broke $48k and then reaches $52k.

So let's wait for it and let the market mature in the next couple of days. Just the regulars liquidating at $58k and then buying around $56k and wait for it to reach $63k or new all time high.
3039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 14, 2021, 10:49:31 AM
The latest news according to Kambosos himself is that the fight will be made in November 13.

Quote
“I am hearing the date of the fight could be November 13. I am ready to fight today or any date Eddie Hearn says. I am not the one who has been postponing the Lopez v Kambosos fight.”

https://fightnews.com/kambosos-lopez-on-nov-13/122250

It's still tentative date though, just a month away from today, not sure if this is viable. But we all know that they have been training for a year now and fans are eagerly waiting for it to happen this year. Both are confident to win, so let see how it goes next month.
3040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 14, 2021, 10:16:32 AM
I think that Kyrie will definitely come around, just give him some time.

He is known to be a bit idiosyncratic, and this is not the first time that he's pulled something like this.

But at the end of the day he will be out of literally hundreds of millions of dollars and he isn't stupid. Same deal with Simmons.

He would probably start playing in the regular season, but his attitude is unacceptable, it's not anymore professional, he and his team are bound into a contract and I don't think the organization has not done their part, it was only Irving who think he is the real superstar and has a lot of conditions that he wants to be granted.

His main problem is his ego and pride.
He always wanted to be more important than anyone else. He tend to just stick to what he believes and is very stubborn in changing his perspective.
Now, I guess it's just too stupid to sacrifice his career over his pride by not taking the vaccine.
Well, we have our own choices, but Kyrie's attitude is just too annoying and every NBA fan must also be annoyed by his childish attitude.

Irving's problem started when he is paired with a star player in a team, back when he was still the lone star player on the Cavaliers, we don't hear a lot of issues regarding him and his team. But, when Lebron played with them (which obviously bron is the main man), his real character showed up and that's the reason why he left the Cavaliers for Boston Celtics, and he was supposed to be doing well but still, he does not fit with the team, until he arrives with the Nets with the same problem.

He always wanted to be the alpha on the team, and that's what we saw in Cavs. He try to proved in again in Celtics, yet I would say that during that time, he didn't get the respect of his team mates. Not sure about the reasons, maybe it was his personality or something. Now with the Nets, similar issues have arise, he became now an issue instead of the one who will solved the problem of Nets by helping them achieved a common goal with Durant and Harden. I guess it's better for him to retire.
