Go away, we'd rather stay with the bitcoin toppler...

However successful Blackcoin is. It will not 'topple" Bitcoin.

Blackcoin is not even anywhere near the first rung of the ladder on challenging Bitcoin's dominance and reserve status in the cryptocurrency economy.

Plenty of "crypto's" have trod where BC is treading now and none of them have even made a dent so don't start getting delusions of grandeur. Just ask anyone who's ever tried to get an ETF for a 'crypto' passed through the regulatory authorities.

Great rise but lets keep our hair on.

I say that in terms of long term hope/potential, and also as a point that NXT will certainly NOT ever do that, nor come close.

Haha, I'm also bald as a doorknob, so about the hair - too late.

And god help us it won't.

have you read anything about the upcoming developments! hahaha its guna blow every coin out of the water! i put money down your mining pool will be selling its coins on the nxt AE! lol i have no doubt blackcoin will do well.. i think all POS coins will.. as they will all bring out multipools and crush PoW.

this isnt even everything!

Quote
multigateway: (BTC, LTC, DOGE, DRK,...) <-> NXT AE (trading real coins, not iou's)
BTC bridge: automatically converts NXT -> BTC -> any BTC address so NXT is accepted everywhere BTC is!
NXTprotocol: websockets interface plus eventually dynamically loadable/unloadable handlers
NXTorrentplace: anon's cool project
InstantDEX: will totally amaze everybody (ability to trade coins/assets in AE at very high speeds.. not a clue how it works)
nodeminer: will get some cool features and ways to earn more than just nodecoin
NXThealth: monitors NXT network status, probably will get integrated into nodeminer
fiat support using Ripple
NXTdividends: sends out dividend proportionally to holders of an asset
NXTdatafeed: prices and other data compiled from external sources and published on NXT blockchain
NXTbetting: make bets based on NXTdatafeed
NXTmixer: nacl encryption based and also avoids timing attacks, the fact it was initial funded cannot be avoided, unless...
NXTcash: allows initial funding of NXTmixer anonymously (between nxtcash and nxt mixer its essentially annonymous transactions)

then you have

digital goods store
physical goods store
NXTtorrent.. (combines nxt protocol with torrent technology) not a clue what it will do but it sounds like it could do allot! :L
and more that i cant think of...

and all of it decentralised with no third parties invloved..

i have no doubt someone is going to design silkroad 3.0 ontop of nxt.. tbh i think some one is already working on it(not from nxt community.. some randomer was just asking loads of questions that sounded like he wanted to build it lol) and you know what? no one will be able to shut it down..

and you dont think nxt will take top spot?

the only thing making blackcoin rise is the multipool..

its a positive feed back loop. the more it rises in value the more miners the more miners the more it rises..

what happens when nxt multipool is fully launched and the features are live! Tongue

and when nxt delivers this emunie will be launched Smiley)))

Approximate annual inflation rates since Jan/2014:

Euro Area (Euro) 1%
USA (Dollar) 1.6 %
China (Yuan) 2%
Brazil (Real) 6.5%
Argentina (Peso) 11%
Venezuela (Bolívar) 54%
Bitcoinland (Bitcoin) 350%

O.k.  You are very selective with the period of time that you selected.

With this, you are attempting to spin and to spread FUD.

Why don't you compare the inflation or deflation over various periods of time to put your numbers into a more accurate context... for example compare the period that you selected (January 2014 to April 2014) with April 2013 to April 2014 and/or compare your period with January 2011 to April 2014.  You should reach the opposite conclusion that Bitcoin actually deflationary rather than inflationary.. which is likely going to continue into the long term future.. so long as bitcoin survives... and really may NOT be too fair to pick any currency, such as bitcoin over its adoption phase to be reflective of long term stability.  The adoption phase number (in which we currently are in) are going to be quite a bit skewed in the deflationary direction - much more than later.

I don't want to say that Russians are bad,Romanian did their mistake too and here i am talking about Stalin's Romanians puppets :Gheorghiu Dej and Ceausescu. I need days to explain exactly how much Stalin harmed Romania ,from the moment when Germans bombed several city's and the oil pomp's and forced Romania into war against Russia ,to the moment when Romanian people start the revolution in 1989.
And you all know  "the history is written by the victors" even if is not true .

We did make a lot of mistakes also during that period so we're not some angels but the problem is that because of some idiots : hitler stalin ceausescu lots of people died.
And those types of leaders are still lurking in the shadows waiting for the right moment.

That's why i dislike Putin more than Mombama.

Node looks to have gone down again Sad

um no,  mintpal is working just fine.
I think he meant the mining server of Blackcoinpool?
It seems to be down, I'm currently mining on coinfu.io (which is my backup pool)...

I did yes, Sorry.
Just this minute come back online

I thought the mining of blackcoin had finished. What am i missing here.

He is talking about mining at the blackcoin pool.  Not mining bc coins.

Let's have a somewhat civilized discussion.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: campaign to get Amazon to accept Bitcoin on: April 14, 2014, 06:46:58 PM
Do you know the impact of 3% price fluctuation on the scale of the Amazon sales?

do you know that in the hour a person pays for their goods, bitpay locks a price and gives the merchant that exact amount..
Quoted for emphasis. The illusion of the problem of instability is just that, an illusion.

I buy a 450 thing with 1 btc. Btc drops to 100 . Bitpay pays the merchant 450. Bitpay ends up with 1 btc worth 100usd.

Where will the 350 come from? Let's divide this by 100 , say 3.5 but multiply by 100 000 sales. And then another 30 days of continuous slide downwards.
Bitpay would have gone bankrupt from january till now.

In light of this article today,

hxxxp://www.coindesk.com/ amazon-exec-company-decided-against-accepting-bitcoin

can we organize a new push on this campaign or come together with a joint way to show amazon our support for bitcoin payment options.

if they decided against it after that much hype around it , they won't change their decision too quickly.

3 days of long hrs perfect uptrading and taking more coins off the market and mintpal causes me to be set back more than 300 coins by doing everything in their power to slow me down.

GOODBYE MINTPAL!!!

No time for trying fancy things in this market at this time. Best to just sit tight.

That's what I'm doing. Just sitting back and enjoying the view. Wishing I bought more.  Cry

I'm also sitting and watching , but i still have my buy more instinct under control.

Do you guys think that Bitcoins price is rising because of all the people wanting to get into blackcoin are having to buy bitcoin to get in? Looking at the volume I'm coming to this assumption.  Pretty crazy if it is true.

The volume of traded btc rose more than two times the whole marketcap of bc.
Unfortunately there is no correlation between those two.

It's just that we have a day with no threats of china banning bitcoin and a bit of the reverse of a bear market.

so unlucky started at 514 diff and found nothing
Is there something wrong?
Normally at launches I will atleast find a block that isn't accepted, but with this coin I don't get anything.
Is there anything special with this coin I need? I feel like at such a low diff I would find a block no matter what
retarget every block. Diff is 4 already

Are you sure you're posting in the right thread?

I love that map. But i think you can get a few more countries out of it:)

I laughed hard at Jewish Republic. It was a failed experiment of Stalin's (just like Ukraine is sadly on the way to becoming a failed experiment of Lenin's)
There was a joke, saying that the lowest concentration of Jews in the Soviet Union was in the Jewish Republic. Smiley

For Saami to be there, they'd need to annex a part of Norway. Saami were heavily oppressed in Norway up until recently, with people prohibited to learn and use their language, and being forcefully dispersed throughout the country. The king made a formal apology to them only a few years ago.

Lol.
First time when I checked those countries I though I saw MORDOR below Russia.

Now this is a war of information in full motion Smiley.

Well, it was bound to happen. I am actually surprised this forum got hit this late. Most other forums that I keep an eye on, have been under heavy siege for months.

So , are you actually reading or viewing all those links videos from both sides Smiley ?
I quit!

Hey guys,

I have been compiling a list of journalists that have actively reported on altcoins in the past several months, as well as reaching out to several personal friends I have in the media from my time studying journalism before I moved into marketing.

So far I have sent about 20 emails to various writers and editors at publications such as Bloomberg, USA Today, the Houston Chronicle, the Washington Post, the LA Times, CNN, and more. I will be sending more in the days to come. (actually as I was writing this I received a reply from a writer at Bloomberg asking for some more details on Blackcoin so so far so good!).

My whole goal of course is to continue to increase mainstream awareness about BC to help contribute to the building of a viable future for this coin. I will post any updates I receive from writers, and I might also reach out to some of you for contact information to be used as a source in future articles.

An FYI about me: I am a Director of Marketing & Communications for a large non-profit based in Texas, so media campaigns, branding, and awareness building are what I do.

Also, if you happen to have any contacts that you think I should add to my list and would like me to reach out to, please do not hesitate to PM me.

I'm doing all this in my free time (aren't we all) and would definitely appreciate any donations you feel led to throw my way BC: BQnTT3hY5Jq9vwgDRi5LkiXpuxM8U42xvy

How do you get the emails of those people?
