I'm hearing on Twitter that Mustafizur, Pathirana gonna play today for CSK, if it's really so I am expecting tough competition between the two otherwise I expect thrashing from KKR. I'm sure CSK must have learned their lessons from the losses in last two matches and wouldn't want to repeat those mistakes again, there ought to be improvement in their game today.

India should be worried about its T-20 WC campaign.
Rohit is in his usual knick but consistently failing to play big innings. First choice opener Jaiswal is struggling with the bat, Kohli is looking good but a lot of questions about his SR. In the middle order, Hardik Pandya looks terrible because of the way he's batting. Our other all-rounder Jadeja is also not looking good.
IMO it's ok if Rohit plays rather small but quick innings, as in 40 off 20 balls and similar. For Jaiswal I agree, Kohli I'm ok with his odd 120-130 SR innings as long as on other end batsman plays aggressive and helps India to put up good total on board. On Pandya, I feel like he wants to prove himself as a captain for MI and is under pressure, hopefully he'll get out of it at least after IPL ends. For Jadeja, I never liked him as a batsman, as spinner he takes crucial wickets which I'm in for. Rinku Singh should be in t20wc squad, he has been supremely consistent. Other young bloods, I don't trust much, they usually choke. |

Gujarat has made 'should have been an easy chase' into a hard one after losing 4 quick wickets, now both team has equal chances to win the game. Gujarat so far this season looks likes mediocre team, might not even make it to the play-offs.
IMO, they should treat Omarzai as Hardik replacement, and idk about Shami's replacement but there are several bowlers in squad they could try and leave rest team as it is.

I'm still reminiscing Bumrah's yorker to get Prithvi out. What a bowl, what a bowler! Delhi keeping Mitch Marsh out in already a lackluster squad, that was surprising. Such sea of blue crowd that not a single cheer for either Prithvi or Stubbs. MI and DC are both weak teams of IPL 2024, we can find both teams at bottom of the points table. Today's game was good for MI in a sense that they finally had a victory after 3 straight loses and for DC it's just another loss. The way both teams are playing it's very difficult for both of them to qualify for eliminators.
Idk I feel like MI will make it to play-offs, for DC yes I agree, their case seems hopeless. |

FAF had poor form while coming into this year IPL and now it's clearly evident that RCB batting unit also struggling while their bowling unit may not defend even if their batters score above 200 runs.
All the blame should be on the team management who picked wrong players and not really into building a right team, even now they got a slight chance if they go with Will Jacks who is destructive opener and can bowl a couple of overs.
About this particular match again Kohli has to score all the runs while big names departed and struggled.
Do you really think that RCB management has enough courage to drop Faf and Maxi? Will Jacks would be an excellent choice, as you rightly pointed out. He is young, and destructive in T20 format. Two months back, he hit a century for Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League. He made 108 from 53 balls at a strike rate of 203.77, against an attack that included Bilal Khan and Al-Amin Hossain. Apart from Jacks, they also have Mahipal Lomror who is also a T20 specialist. Suyash Prabhudessai would be another option at the top. Since things aren't working out, it's obvious they need to shuffle things a bit, management should gather some courage and drop either Maxwell or Green. Lomror could also come up in order and play aggressive while someone like Kohli anchoring the innings. |

RR needs 107 from 72 balls and has 9 wickets in hand, looks like another lose in on cards for RCB. Jaiswal has been silent so far this season, what chances he has got for inclusion in T20wc squad if he continues like this? Butler finally playing a good inning.

Faf in particular has struggled to get into two digit scores so far. Maxi has scored two ducks in his 4 matches, and the only double digit score was 28 that he made against KKR at Bangalore. Green has got two single digit scores in four matches, and his only decent outing was against KKR where he made 33.
Not really, out of 5 matches Faf played, he has crossed double digits 3 times. He looked really good in first match itself against Chennai, meanwhile, Maxwell and Green are actual strugglers. RCB has 0 chance to lift trophy this time either, even if their trio makes runs they don't have bowlers to back it up. |

The batting lineup of Sunrise Hyderabad is well established. 165 was a easy score for Sunrise Hyderabad. Hyderabad isn't a normal team for beat under 180 runs. It's batting lineup and bowling lineup was so strong from any other single team.
CSK batting line-up runs deep as well, but they somehow went into their shell (did they lose their confidence with their defeat in last game? I wouldn't be surprised, mighty team getting defeated by DC can definitely be demotivating). IIRC, CSK gathered 36 runs in last 5 overs, which was not enough, apparently or otherwise, they could have accumulated much more than that, MSD could come up in order as well to bat if other batters had off day. |

If CSK's 165 score wasn't enough, Abhishek's early fireworks pretty much done the job for the SRH, had Moeen caught Head's catch in the very first over, SRH would have come under pressure and CSK might have had some chance but unfortunately he dropped an easy one, Mitchel Santner could be a better replacement to Ali.
Without Pathirana, Mustafizur — CSK's bowling dept looked weak, there was no intent or timing from their batters either. It felt like they came to lose from the very start.
