Not bad. The fact is the price will never hit its previous highs of $28ish the company is putting downward pressure on token price.

They 'diversify' to crypto.com to focus on other projects, and the value of MCO won't exceed much its current price.

At 50 MCO to get a ruby card, if the price were $20+ per token why would you pay thousands of dollars for that card? So I think the price will stay stable even if cards roll out. Also no news of anything else particularly useful the token can be used for.

So FUD and frustration (to a point) is justified if you're an investor, or a person that was expecting a crypto card in 2017. Even 2018 is looking unlikely for cards for most people.

The total mining hashrate has stabilised a bit, but hopefully with more news, more miners will come in and price will keep increasing. Although I am also happy with how stable it has been lately, great result for a new project minting a lot of new coins.

I get it, but if you're a bismuth dev, than do you have access to info that allows you to make a custom gpu miner, modded pool etc.

So maybe it's not necessarily just a case of 'anyone is free to do the same' if they don't have access to the same information you do to actually be able to do the same.

Yeah they'll probably try to time it so they go on more/bigger exchanges once more news and dates are settled regarding transition to include MN's/Pos. Will help generate/maintain enthusiasm for the project in my opinion.

I've actually found with alot of projects that transition to staking that they initially lose value. May have something to do with the fact that new coins are 'minted' without any corresponding costs to perform that minting (which you get under PoW).

This could be balanced out with demand for coins through masternode hosting, but it is definitely a balancing act.

Of course, delivering awesome features and clear long term goals that you tick off make the biggest difference!

Plus it's not all about the equivalency in USD. This faucet means you don't need to mine or buy genx to be involved in some way with the project, and can start sending coins to other people you know. Good for raising awareness at the very least and encouraging more people to download the wallet and get involved

They keep having security issues, which is a major concern, and should be to anyone who provides personal info as part of the liquidity pool.

We just had the breach of TIO cold storage, and today I received an email about not opening a fake spam email link from 'trade io' that probably downloads some virus.

I mean, how the hell has some spam company got access to their email distribution list to know we're part of the trade io exchange? If you can't protect something like that, why should anyone trust you with sensitive information through KYC??? It is extremely concerning and I hope the company provides more detail about this soon, and why it won't happen again.

Equipool has more than 50 percent of the hashrate now. Mix it up if you can, not good for network to have so much hash on the one pool!

I notice that they only have 20 odd miners, so must be a couple of big players pushing it up in that one pool but every bit of decentralization can help.

What's happening on the 31st exactly? I'm not sure what's driving this recent price jump (outside of perhaps a Binance listing recently?) - couldn't see anything else on their twitter feeds specific to 31 October.

Yea perhaps that miner was selling everything he mined straight away, putting downwards pressure on the price.

Perhaps now people are holding more of their coins and setting up nodes etc. Anyway seems to have jumped and stabilised which is a good thing, means it will probably last.

Yeah just read that. They must have always intended to eventually only have their native token available on their exchange, but probably didn't expect it to happen this quickly.

The breach probably made them accelerate towards offering Tio(x) exclusively on their exchange. They would have probably preferred to let it sit on other exchanges for a little bit longer to raise awareness of trade io.

Not that I'm complaining, with any luck I might even be able to mine enough coins to host a masternode (or probably more realistically contribute to a shared one!). I don't think there are any other coins out there where you could potentially still do that.

It should never have gotten to $24 really. I mean when you think about it, to get the Ruby card you need 50 tokens. So at $24 x 50 that would be $1,200 USD for that card.

Assuming they actually release cards etc, is that card worth $1,200? (even as a lifetime card)? No.

And they've already flagged that they went with this expensive 'crypto' name so they could do other projects, which probably will have nothing to do with MCO tokens.

So I think the token value will be staying put, even if cards do eventually come out in bulk.

I'm really liking that miners have naturally split the hashrate between five or so pools. Previously most hashing was done by one pool, so the split is probably better for network stability in case one pool goes down.

Also means there is a little more randomness with the bonus blocks, need a bit more luck but also more reward!

It was hanging around 50cents a couple weeks back, then up to 88 cents now back around 80cents. Can't find any 'news' to explain what is driving it.
