321  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Need legal advice on: October 03, 2015, 05:15:58 PM
It would be better if I had an idea of what you mean. And how it relates to BTC. Are you looking to sue a Canadian Doctor for malpractice?

The first thing you need to do is contact the College of Physicians https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_College_of_Physicians_and_Surgeons_of_Canada thats their wiki, the specific links by province are at the bottom.

you need to bring their attention to your complaint. this is all part of the paper-trail you will need to proceed.

malpractice is tricky anywhere you need to prove it in court.

if the practitioner(s) really did a botch job on you and you can prove it, just get a good lawyer... both of you will get payed large.

proving it is the hard part. the "burden of proof"

i dont have any idea of what your actual complaint is though, so I have no solid advice other than reach out to the royal college of physicians and surgeons. they will give you advice on how you can proceed, if you should proceed, if you have any right to, and what you need to provide...

my friend lost an eye to cancer and he felt it was partly due to recieving the wrong treatment at first... but they told him all the medical history, plus history of specific treatment he had to gather... long story short... he had no grounds to sue, but the process put him at ease that there was no actual malpractice at least.

its not always as simple as "I went in for a tonsillectomy and they accidentally gave me a sex change" sometimes there's no guarantee in medicine. If the doc cant cure your cancer there's not much anyone can do... sorry

the college of physicians can help you though. good luck
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you consider this as a possible threat to Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2015, 04:48:56 PM
I'm more worried what will happen to the price of electricity.
323  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: bitcoin being used for Extortion; Bitcoin is an accomplice to criminal activity on: September 30, 2015, 03:36:43 PM
i was selling LSD to this cute teenage girl. she was buying tons of it and getting high every weekend. then i met her dad (a preacher) and got an idea. I told her that I would tell her church-y dad that she was a drug fiend unless she had sex with me. she agreed and blew my mind!

Now, I implicate sexual intercourse as an accomplice in EXTORTION

who's the hypocrite now?
324  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Take Action on: September 30, 2015, 03:28:26 PM
you really should use escrow. you can get it for next to nothing, and in the end it is just there to keep the honest people honest.

i would not consider doing business with you without escrow. Like yourself, I have been burned many times. better safe than sorry Wink
325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest and simplest way to keep bitcoins? on: September 30, 2015, 03:12:49 PM
Except that if I want to save a considerable amount of money, but in bitcoins.
there are hardware wallets you should check them as they are the safest

yes, these are the safest and simplest. not the cheapest though. the cheapest is paper wallets, but keep in mind your printer will keep the files in it and this can be hacked. there are steps to making paper wallets hacker-proof, but it is a bit of work and knowledge needed. since you are IT you will be able to figure it out.

i am assuming English is not your native tongue. i am sure you can find the information to create safest paper wallets in your language, possibly in the non-english parts of this forum.

if you do plan to collect a large amount of btc, I would invest in a hardware wallet. there are good ones as cheap as 35$ USD, they are simple to set up and use and you need not worry about collecting a large amount of paper, plus you can spend and save with it just like any other wallet, without the risk of being hacked. I use a ledger wallet and I am very happy with its ease and security.

welcome and good luck
326  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Should we or not create a social network for bitcoiners? on: September 30, 2015, 03:53:25 AM
unfortunately, even with the best intentions, if you build a btc social network it will just become much like bitcointalk. a ripe hunting ground for scammers to target suckers. also, if you offer any sort of btc rewards for posting content it will also become what bitcointalk has become, a cess pool of shallow shit-posts that serve only to gather micro-earnings for semi-literate bottom feeders.

there is already a social network for core devs, its a private mailing list. if you arent on it, you dont belong there.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI Agent Threatens to Kill Silk Road Architect, Ulbricht’s Family for Bitcoin ! on: September 29, 2015, 04:34:05 PM
I guess if VJ is unable to dox this agent than he knows how to cover his ass, but there are only so many agents working the case. Is there such a thing as "internal affairs" in the FBI? If they have a rouge agent I'm sure they'd like to shut him down. That is assuming the whole beurae isn't corrupt
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Blood Moons – BTC Price: It’s not China, Mt. Gox, or anything else in the news. on: September 28, 2015, 09:27:02 PM
Ah superstition... The last bastion and safe haven for those who possess zero knowledge.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish News Thread on: September 28, 2015, 09:16:08 PM
Hello,

As I'm a Permabull and highly optimistic regarding Bitcoin in terms of technology and price.

I decided to open this thread to share every bullish news, tweet, or whatsoever that mentions Bitcoin in a bullish matter.

I like and love to spread optimism in the air, it makes me as well as other people feels euphoric.

Hopefully I will update this thread everyday, once or twice.

Thanks.

N.B. : The thread is self-moderated for obvious reasons

Very nice thread you have going here mate! Smiley I can't believe there is already 18 pages in less than a month. I've been reading through it today and I have found many great articles. I will keep an eye on it!

Long live Bitcoin!
18 pages isn't too difficult when every post quotes the last 10 posts. This makes every page hold only 4 or 5 posts.

I'm bullish too, but this thread is hard to read. Maybe moderate out some of the repetition and cheerleading and stick to good old bullish news.
Just a suggestion

331  Economy / Securities / Re: Fishing enterprise in Far East Russia. Colored coin IPO. Monthly dividends. on: September 26, 2015, 03:01:17 AM
i admit its a pretty good one. the long con.

you'll notice there are no actual investors posting in this thread. why bother. there's nothing to really see or tell until january 2016.

plenty of time to collect little bits of bitcoin from confused dreamers, none of whom can really say anything, then poof

its gone, and no one who lost money will have the guts to say anything and look foolish in front of everyone else

i cant believe these things. so scam. such bullshit

but man. those test divs are BALLIN'

and yes i am 100% responsible for these words
332  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: September 26, 2015, 02:51:47 AM
thinks; "hmmm, Anything Sustainable Worth Investing thread. That might be interesting. I wonder...."

40 minutes later &

15 pages of scam accusations and arguing.

There's your answer!
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else feeling like they should keep away? on: September 25, 2015, 10:55:18 PM
there is also the major public btc businesses who fall apart and take their clients money with them like mt.gox, bitpay, bitfunder etc etc etc

the list goes on and on and on...

if it isnt a hack its internal fraud

and that doesnt even consider the tens of thousands of ponzis, scams, rip-offs

or the plain old simple malware exploiting hackers who simply steal your coins

and what do victims get?

"Whoa n00b, stupid people shouldnt get to use money. sux 2 b u lol"

tell me...

how is this going to help btc go mainstream? the regular joe out there who is just hearing about btc will google it and see only 2 sides to the story

1. total rip-off wild west style lawless risky flaky shady weirdness

2. blind-faith believers who appear either idealistic to the point of delusion, or simply touting more scams

it just looks like a bad idea

it actually makes regulation look really good

i used to believe, but now i only think btc is fail

a great idea destroyed by opportunists
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Rising on Reddit] Bitpay Reportedly Lays Off Most of Entire Staff on: September 25, 2015, 03:50:38 AM
News like this again and again. And people wonder why there's no mass adoption...

It seems like there are no success stories.

Gloomy
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin billboard on: September 22, 2015, 09:23:14 PM
good one. much better to get the message out to noobs than honey badger. (most noobs have no idea what honey badger is)
336  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-17] EXCLUSIVE: President of main Russian bank admitted he owns bitcoins on: September 18, 2015, 06:46:55 PM
That's as about as bullish as it gets. Especially considering how resistant Russia has previously been toward BTC. It is connected, powerful finance guys like this that need to be the voice for BTC. Actors and sports personalities aren't the sort of people I want financial cues from.

I'm still waiting to see how BRICS pans out and how btc will figure in it all.
337  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Roger Waters: "Donald Trump is pig-ignorant" on: September 18, 2015, 06:15:19 PM
If you shave trump's head he resembles Mussolini. I really have a hard time figuring out just what it is he's doing in this election. Is he there to make the other guys look credible? Is he there to scoop up the huge "crack pot" vote? He has no policy. He runs on no platform. His personality is toxic and his diplomacy is non existent.
All things considered, he should win by a landslide. And after 4 years of the absolute worst leadership imaginable, he'll get re elected once more.
Americans should be ashamed of themselves. I can't wait until China ascends to the top and enslaves the entire western world. A totalitarian despot will be preferable to the type of megalomaniac lunatic that trump is.
338  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Strategic Begging | Sounds interesting! on: September 18, 2015, 01:30:07 AM
To make serious money begging you need to get some kids. They don't have to be your's just ragged and dirty and pathetic looking. A dog or cat is good too.
On top of that you should chop one of your legs off. You can get an extreme body mod guy to do it for you. You will elicit so much sympathy from little old ladies and well meaning citizens that you will earn enough for many bottles of cheap wine every day.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Atlanta based Bitcoin giant BitPay hacked for nearly $2,000,000! on: September 17, 2015, 06:30:31 AM
Stories like this should BOOST mainstream adoption of btc about 1000%
Where else can you rip off a couple million with three emails? It's stupid-simple. Everybody should be getting in on this crazy train. Lol @ bitpay... Retards
340  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VOTE / Police news / Funny or not? on: September 16, 2015, 07:43:26 AM
not funny. cops not doing their job right is a nightmare. shooting kids, throwing the wrong people in jail, you name it. they're all assholes, they never admit when they're wrong and they all stick together. god help you if you're their target in one of these mistakes, cuz no one else will.
