321  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] CoinLab Protected Pool on: November 27, 2012, 02:50:48 AM

I re-read the official post about it and honestly it isnt very clear. I believe they said that you just register on the "redeem" pool and just point your miners there, you would then get paid at the stated $0.00012427 PPS, once a week on "pay day" the USD is converted to BTC and paid out to your wallet.

Since it appears that the redeem pool is mining bitcoin, i would imagine that cgminer or whatever you choose to use would work...

To redeem your Loyalty Points (at $2.5 / GH/s / day), you must submit your shares to the "redeem" pool.  Protected is just a standard 95% PPS pool for now. PPS Pool is currently paying 98% PPS, but we might drop this down to 95% soon.

Note: we're setting up the "redeem" pool now.  We'll be doing some testing on it, and we strongly recommend that you don't submit any shares to this pool until the price drop.  It WILL "spend" your loyalty points, and it will pay you at $2.5 / GH/s / day, which will be less than you would get on 95% PPS before the price drop (assuming no crazy price movements).
Just so I understand, we should NOT switch to redeem pool until you say it is ready.
On loyalty points, how do they work when in redeem mode?
Will the points run out faster if the BTC price is lower? Or it is based solely on shares submitted?

323  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: imsaguy's Enormously Interesting Extended Investment Opportunity on: November 20, 2012, 10:15:50 PM
any news on the ASIC front? or the dividend?
324  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: imsaguy's Enormously Interesting Extended Investment Opportunity on: November 01, 2012, 10:33:51 PM
So, any updates on this?

I am happy to report that my full balance was paid out, including the dividends that had accumulated through September 6, 2012 when dividends were suspended.

I hope that this can put other investors at ease that they will eventually paid back.

The transaction in question:  http://blockchain.info/tx/0f695f9bbbbdce21a476ac7a425e39818297144a926a1bc571ff3343ba05fc15

How much was your full balance?
325  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: cgminer 2.8.5 always crash when internet goes down. Script to restart cgminer? on: November 01, 2012, 03:02:28 PM
Upgraded to 2.8.7. Will keep an eye on it. But somehow I have a feeling that it will crash too.
I've upgraded from 2.7.5 era, all the way up to 2.8.5. Upgrading on almost every release, and never solved the issue.
326  Bitcoin / Mining support / cgminer 2.8.5 always crash when internet goes down. Script to restart cgminer? on: October 31, 2012, 03:06:07 AM
Cgminer 2.8.5 always crash for me when internet connection got lost.
This is not 100% sure yet, but I am fairly sure. 3 machines always have cgminer crashing at the same time. Those 3 machines are plugged in at different places.
I read somewhere that someone wrote a script that checks if cgminer has crashed. And if it crashed, close it, and restart it.
The script need to be able to run in Windows.

Thanks,

it can work, if you have access to that, and don't need to pay electric.
328  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Hashkings Lending,Deposit 1.25% INSURED, ALL PPT ACCOUNTS CLOSING ON 8/19 on: October 23, 2012, 12:53:06 AM
Having issues with website.  Should be back up later this evening.
I think we are much more worried about the repayment than a website that shows our balance.
When can we expect the next payment?

Repayments appear to of dried up. Sad

333  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE Payment Claims (Announce your payment here) on: October 18, 2012, 04:33:22 PM
Is there a way to contact glbse?
Nefario have blocked all PMs. And the email that he sent out to me have a "do not reply" to this email clause.

How do I distinguish who sent me the coins? glbse or any of the asset issuers could have sent me the coins.
As the address I gave to GLBSE, they said they will forward those to asset issuers.
I have balance in GLBSE, and have shares on some assets. Now I am confused as to who paid me.
334  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] An appeal - .csv download on: October 18, 2012, 04:30:37 PM
definitely need the csv. Otherwise, some people will never know how much they have in there.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: October 17, 2012, 04:53:04 PM
7970: 21000 (sharethreads 2048 and threads_per_gpu 4, the rest the same as the above and using catalyst 12.6 and AMD APP SDK 2.6) (~700 kh/s)
Is that sharethreads 2048 correct??? That is a LOT of threads!
When I put that in, it would just crash my PC, or very unresponsive.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: October 17, 2012, 04:17:59 PM
Now I tried to use Reaper v14 beta 4, x64.
It gives me "Error 6 getting work", which I looked up and it seems that it cannot connect to the pool.

litecoin.conf file
Code:
host http://mine.pool-x.eu
port 80
user xxx.x
pass x

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
vectors 1
aggression 20
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 7168

Definitely remove the 'http://' from the host line as its not needed. If you get it to work let me know as I can't get pool-x to connect in reaper.
Worked after I removed the "http://"
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: October 17, 2012, 03:47:47 PM
Using Win7 x64. AMD 5850.
Cgminer 2.8.3
cgminer --scrypt -o http://yourpool.com -u username -p password --thread-concurrency 5600 -I 18 -g 1 -w 256

That immediately crashed the cgminer. Window popped up saying "cgminer has stopped working".
What am I doing wrong here?

yip its the same when he transfered the "200btc"
100 is transferred from his wallet to this address.. and money is still just sitting there.. 2 weeks later..
http://blockchain.info/address/14QZB6yt8y3b4z6wLGtgRQLn9jKbKqhTS6

I rekon he owes ~5-8k coins and the 18k is a made up number that he uses so when he does the calculations he can pay you all less.
strange how someone who apparently had $1000's worth of mining hardware now doesn't seem to be all that familiar with anything btc related.

I suspected that. If he actually have 18k with pirate, that would put him right under INAU and hashking.

would there be any more payments coming in these days?
