But Because even the amount of XMR sent is not known. Good point, I will try and get around to updating gif this weekend. I've been meaning to anyway, but that will be some extra impetus.

I think the easiest way is to get the deterministic seed words using the 'seed' command inside simplewallet. And recreate it on linux like so: "simplewallet --restore-deterministic-wallet *words*".
If your wallet is old and doesn't support the deterministic seed, you should just create a new one on linux and move your money there.
Error: The wallet is non-deterministic. Cannot display seed. Guess my wallet is too old. And if I move the money manually, isn't that gonna cost me a lot in transfer fees? Afaik you don't need to rebuild from the seed, you can also rebuild from the keys file. So, delete or move your bin file, and just launch as normal with only the keys file, and it should successfully rebuild the binary file.

Hi,
This is my small contribution the the community. There were some complaints we only had one block explorer so... Its a little crude but it gets the job done. ...
Very nice Do you mind sharing how you get all of the transaction info via RPC calls to the daemon, just out of curiosity?

Monero vein / seam (similar to in real mining, like a coal seam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_coal_seamHas anyone else encountered this, or is it just selective memory? It seems that sometimes you can get a run of found blocks. Granted, this has only happened twice to me, but still think its odd. monerohash's found blocks ... I'd guess this is just human propensity to look for patterns where there may or may not be any.

Could someone please tell me the following anoncoin settings:
Minimum transaction fee Estimated block time in seconds daemon file Exact spelling of the conf file with path for Windows Mac Linux
You're supposed to have hundreds of people building a super network of coins that promises revolutionary features, and yet you can't look up four simple parameters in the github repo? Yes, would you be so kind and direct me to where I can find all that information? Min tx fee 200000 satoshi (line 53): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp3 minute block target (it's in the README.md): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoinNot sure what you mean daemon file... example anoncoin.conf (assuming github has correct spelling): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/blob/master/debian/examples/anoncoin.confThe path for the conf file should be the same as any bitcoin clone: %appdata%/anoncoin for windows and ~/.anoncoin for mac/linux. That took all of five minutes, probably less time than you spent constructing your message and checking this board. If I had any UNITY I'd go dump it now based on your stellar sleuthing skills.

OK, got one connection working again and synced.
Question on an unrelated note about an inconsistency I noticed: How come if you go into debug console and use getinfo or getmininginfo the diff shows as ~6.7 atm, but if you hover the mouse over the check mark in bottom right of main qt window when synced it shows diff is currently ~0.004? How can we estimate the total network staking weight? Which diff is correct?

addnode=113.67.238.54:50557
I already had that one in my conf file, actually. After deleting peers.dat I see this in debug.log: trying connection 113.67.236.111:50557 lastseen=366940.2hrs connection timeout Also, seems like the IRC bootstrapping isn't working for me either (from debug.log): IRC connect failed IRC waiting 138 seconds to reconnect Not sure what else to try...

Swaphole has been dead for a few weeks I think, might want to remove it from the list of exchanges on the ANN post.

Isn't' it better to have the flexibility to opt out? Couldn't tell if you were citing this as a pro or a con. I still think it's important to have other strong coins such as Monero in the marketplace but more fore the reason of having alternatives if bitcoin ever becomes too unattainable. If they both have the same features and you can buy stuff with it then who cares if the feature you use was the result of a fork or add-on or whatever.
Monero already has this, and has had it from the genesis block. You can opt-out globally (for a particular address) by publishing your view key, as we have done with the Monero donation address on the OP. We will also add the functionality to reveal the one-time key on a per-transaction basis in future. Well in that case it's just a matter of doing what Bitcoin has done in order for Monero to gain value. Monero needs to be accepted as a payment method by more merchants just like Overstock, Newegg, TigerDirect, etc etc etc. I'm not saying that it would be a bad thing for Monero to be accepted as a means of payment at large online retailers like Overstock, Newegg, and Tigerdirect, but during the time period that Bitcoin has been accepted at these retailers, it's value (related to the USD) has been pretty steadily decreasing. So, maybe, just be careful what you wish for...

Above addnodes addded Deleted Peer dat
Maybe try to launch with the -rescan parameter.

Time to move to a modded thread? I don't think that's a good idea, but I also don't think the dev threatening people is a great idea either... I agree with CryptoJohn, if you need to, just use the Ignore button.

Down to only one peer ( 108.20.157.95:50557 ), but still on same block as multifaucet. Will let it run overnight and see what happens...

ColossusCoin 2.0
I can only trust something I have built myself.
And by built yourself you mean forked from Novacoin, which was forked from Peercoin, which was forked from Bitcoin. So really what you mean is, "I can only trust something that I tweaked the block reward structure for myself", right?

Weird. It's working for me here: stratum+tcp://birdspool.no-ip.org:5567 but my pool reported hashrate does seem to be generally lower than the miner reported hashrate, by anywhere from 10-50%, but occasionally pool reported rate is actually higher, but seems less often.

Is there any up-to-date listing of the best miners? I just started using maxdz8's M8M miner for qubit (which isn't in the ANN), and it is way better than pretty hate machine's version of sgminer. I feel like I remember reading about an upgrade of phm's qubit miner, but I can't find it atm (for computer's running linux, since M8M is windows only).
I tried running reorder's skein cgminer, and it seemed like I was getting accepted shares on bird's p2pool node, but my miner wasn't showing up on the list of people mining.
Also, one other kinda weird thing about M8M miner: I'm using it with a 270x and 7950, and they both hash at the same rate. Is this normal? Limited by slower card?
Also also, in the ANN there's no links for ccminer/nvminer for qubit, but you can definitely get versions of ccminer/nvminer that mine qubit now.
I'm trying M8M as I type and I'm getting almost 2x the hashrate I get with sgminer. Is there a way to run this from the command line with a custom config not in AppData? Dont u get very high stale/reject rate? I tried it and it showed about double the hashrate like you said but after awhile it always went up to about 30% stales with much higher power usage, which meant less hashes/watt and not as profitable as sgminer (for me at least). getting about 6% on p2pool after 24 hours, so it doesn't seem terrible... That seems ok, maybe I tried an older version Did you change anything from the default settings? eg. move the slider or write anything in Linearintensity? I'll try again with 0.0.520 nope, just running default settings, linearintensity was like 1520 I think.
