Glad to see activity in ANC development.
Is the wallet @ Vircurex working?
What other exchanges are working atm?
In other words, where can I buy ANC and withdraw them?
Thanks!
Bleutrade and Bittrex have stopped to trade ANC and cannot be used. Vircurex has been involved into scam tactics and shall not be used. Cryptsy has the withdrawals stopped until the new version will resolve the issue. CEX.io is working well. BTC38 is also working well. To trade, you are welcome to use the last three.

Could someone please tell me the following anoncoin settings:
Minimum transaction fee Estimated block time in seconds daemon file Exact spelling of the conf file with path for Windows Mac Linux
You're supposed to have hundreds of people building a super network of coins that promises revolutionary features, and yet you can't look up four simple parameters in the github repo?

Some commits to github today? Anything significant?

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

FACTS: 1. Many ANC holders (including myself) have been disappointed by previous delays in the development schedule and remain cautious about future promises 2. ANC was the first to implement native I2P support (AFAIK) which is an area that has received increased focus lately due to weaknesses found in the more popular alternative Tor https://privacysolutions.no/3. The dev team has been communicating a lot less recently on bitcoin talk (perhaps to avoid another backlash from setting new deadlines for upcoming goals that are eventually delayed). However it is obvious that work is continuing: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Development_schedulehttps://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/tree/develophttps://wiki.anoncoin.net/How_to_generate_a_2-3_multisig_Anoncoin_addressWHAT IS NEXT FOR ANC? My guess is that Zerocoin will take much longer to implement than the last estimate we saw from Gnosis: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227287.msg9259153#msg9259153I think it will take much longer However I am still excited about the future of this coin because of: 1. The Anoncoin name and its fair launch 2. Upcoming multi sig support 3. I2P integration and the vast experience of meeh in this area I doubt many new merchants will start to accept ANC until "release A" ( https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Development_schedule) is complete eliminating all wallet bugs. However once that happens, I think we have enough to gain a lot of traction even before Zerocoin is ready (which I think will take a lot more time) The above is just my opinion. Review the github commits, etc and decide for yourselves.

You're supposed to have hundreds of people building a super network of coins that promises revolutionary features, and yet you can't look up four simple parameters in the github repo? Yes, would you be so kind and direct me to where I can find all that information? Min tx fee 200000 satoshi (line 53): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp3 minute block target (it's in the README.md): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoinNot sure what you mean daemon file... example anoncoin.conf (assuming github has correct spelling): https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/blob/master/debian/examples/anoncoin.confThe path for the conf file should be the same as any bitcoin clone: %appdata%/anoncoin for windows and ~/.anoncoin for mac/linux. That took all of five minutes, probably less time than you spent constructing your message and checking this board. If I had any UNITY I'd go dump it now based on your stellar sleuthing skills.

Or one might consider that SN thread is a friendlier place that is more welcoming to basic questions, instead of being met with a major bug up ones ass attitude attack.

You're right, that was pretty snide. I just found it somewhat surprising that he had originally posted asking for that information nearly a week ago, and then came back and asked again a few days ago, when it really only took several minutes to look it all up in the source repo, especially considering that he is supposed to be working on this supernet project that I've heard has hundreds or at least dozens of programmers working on it in their slack group. I don't own any, as I mentioned, because at the outset it seemed like a lot of other pump and dump scams (promise the moon at some unspecified date in the future but demand ICO funds immediately), and his behavior (apparent inability to quickly check basic coin parameters) somewhat reinflamed those suspicions.

My personal opinion is that no altcoin these days can afford to discourage people showing up with basic questions. As for SN, having been in the slack channel there a couple months, i can say without exaggeration that it has some of the most interesting and active dev work currently happening, and a refreshingly open atmosphere.
BTW Noahssh is pretty central in the scene there, he might have even been checking things out here with regard to possible supernet functionality. Would not hurt to show him around.

Is there a way to stop the alert windows 'Anoncoin is running on clearnet!' that open at start of anoncoin-QT 0.8.5.6 (i2p=1 in anoncoin.conf) under windows? Because for solo-mining when this open at restart of CPU it stop there waiting someone to hit OK button... hence I cannot start to solomine automatically anymore... maybe by putting something in anoncoin.conf or by using a command line argument?
Thank you!
Add the line stfu=1 to your anoncoin.conf to silence it How do I stop the "Failed to connect to SAM(111) Created a new SAM session (DMIOGTOX) from another (KQKRJ) Closing SAM session (DMIOGTOX) ... Failed to connect to SAM(111) Failed to connect to SAM(111) Created a new SAM session (NBQGUNY) from another (KQKRJ) Closing SAM session (NBQGUNY) ... Failed to connect to SAM(111) Failed to connect to SAM(111) Created a new SAM session (RARGXQ) from another (KQKRJ) Closing SAM session (RARGXQ) ... Failed to connect to SAM(111)" stuff? stfu=1 is in the conf and hides the 'I'm in clearnet' warning.

Where can interested parties research distribution of this coin? How is this coin/wealth spread?

Here is a list of blockchain explorers. At least one of them lists the addresses by balance.

Yeah, because they don't have internett in the Philipines, Meeh has to be permanently in Norway to work with ANC.

He will be living in a city with nine universities that among other topics specializes in IT and computer science, I fail to see the limitations of the location vis a vis his ability to code.

I underestimated the scope of this project and set too ambitious of a schedule for it. Zerocoin will be probably be ready within 2-3 months, but I don't want to give any more release dates (either for testnet or mainnet) until I am very, very close. I will not make this mistake again.
I will continue to give status updates, and I have made tremendous progress in recent weeks. As I promised, I will still work full time on this until November 1, and I expect to have a few hours a day after that to work on it.
(as a side note I'm still waiting for my cryptsy deposit for more than 3 months)

guys why are you even still here?
Shadowcash has ZK transactions in it now.
Anoncoin is dead, I mean couldn't even fix the difficulty algorithm by copying and pasting any modern algorithm released in early 2014? Much less hyper theoretical zero coin. You know the deal.
