3282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Almost 24 hours unconfirmed on: November 09, 2017, 02:32:09 PM
Yes the included fee is not enough for fast confirmation with the current condition of the mempool [Busy and loaded with unconfirmed transactions] as well as for the transaction size.
You can use these guides next time. Your included fee should be dependent on your transaction size as well as the current network confition: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com l
https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx l

hi,
im in the same situation, more than 24hours and still nothing...please keep me updated of your issue..can't wait anymore Sad

Options depends on which wallet you're using but for now you can try using these transaction accelerator services

Antpool [An account is needed]
Viabtc [A minimum of  0.0001BTC/KB is needed]
Confirmtx [Only transactions under 500bytes are free]

I just checked OP's transaction and it has already been included on block 493760 and has 21 confirmations at the moment.
3283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 49 confirmations but not btc in wallet on: November 09, 2017, 07:07:55 AM
Yes I double checked, address is right.

They have their own mining pools it seems and and they're saying blockchain has to respond to them and lot of other users are also facing the downtime from yesterday. I really didn't get the technicalities and am still not known how much time it is going to reflect. Any help?
I've also never heard of bitcoin-india, I assume its a local wallet for people in india right? It might be worth discussing on your local board here regarding its legitimacy.
Anyways, I don't get why blockchain has to respond to them  Huh. Because your transaction has already received enough number of confirmations to be reflected so the problem clearly lies on their side in fact even unconfirmed ones should also be reflected. As said just like from the guy above, what you can do now is to contact their support.

3284  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is my Blockchain.info wallet hacked? on: November 08, 2017, 05:44:24 PM
I am seeing a lot of SENT transactions on my account which I did not do.

I am guessing those are the changes from my previous received transactions but Ive never seen those before and it only started this october.

If my account was hacked then why is the hacker did not withdraw all my BTC. So should I be worried?

Thanks

Screenshot of transaction below

I cant seem to embed images directly on my post, is that normal on this forum?

If you didn't remember sending those and the total amount of bitcoin you have has decreased then its possible that your wallet has been compromised. You should move your remaining coins in a much more stable wallet like electrum.
_______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________

Yes newbies aren't allowed to embed an image but you can ask someone with a higher rank to quote it for you. [I just quoted it  Wink]

Q: I can't post / embed an image and I'm a newbie. Why?
A: Embedded images have been disabled for newbies due to abuse. You'll be able to post images when you become Jr. Member. See more: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.0.
3285  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why do bitcoin Exchanges have different prices? on: November 08, 2017, 03:11:34 PM
I wonder why exchanges don't communicate with each other, instead of leaving arbitraging to users.

Btw I've noticed that price differences seem quite logical. For ex, BTC's price is currently a little higher on Bitstamp than on Kraken, possibly to compensate for the higher fees on Bitstamp, and it's 100eur higher on GDAX, possibly because of Coinbase's high 1.5% fees? Can't be because people are ready to pay more there because they will get their B2X, because price is normal on Bitfinex.

And also on Kraken the prices must be bs & freezing a lot, considering no one can trade at all. (like, RIGHT NOW)

Prices are decided by the interaction of the buyers (demand) and sellers (supply) furthermore each exchange has their own market [different buy and sells] thats why prices are not synchronized and will never be. In conclusion to that the exchanges can't just come up with their own prices.

When it comes to the number of buyers and sellers on exchanges, I guess it depends on the exchange's options/features e.g. trading fees, verifications etc.
And yah it might also be possible that they prefer to use this X site for B2X.
3286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinify.pro legit or scam? on: November 08, 2017, 12:26:03 PM
Any site who offers  unsustainably high returns on investments are probably a scam because if they are really doing it with that rates, How will it profit them?
Furthermore check their facebook page which you can click at the bottom right of their site. Almost all reviews are complaints about pending withdrawals. As for their twitter,
half of their followers are fake.

Didn't bother to search and read reviews on the internet as its just useless.
3287  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: excodus wallet 2 received payments pending on: November 08, 2017, 04:37:17 AM
Its probably because those transactions of yours are not yet fully confirmed. What you can do know is to monitor and wait for it to be fully verified. After that check if the transactions are still tagged as pending. If it is then try refreshing your wallet. Instructions are here: http://support.exodus.io/article/75-how-do-i-refresh-my-wallet but it should be fine after its fully confirmed as my wallet also does the same it'll only show the green check symbol if the transaction is fully verified. With 80+ confirmations the transaction is considered irreversible so the coins are fully yours.
3288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTC Gold on Bittrex? on: November 07, 2017, 12:56:02 PM
Same story here, haven't heard or seen any BTG from Bittrex yet.
Any news around?

That's because there is no actual bitcoin gold yet so your coins will not be credited until it goes live. What people are trading on some exchanges are just IOU's and these can't be withdrawn until the coin has been launched.

No wallets, blockchain not ready, impossible to mine (it seems?), so, BTG was a scam finally?
Wasn't the BTG blockchain supposed to be live already?  Anyone know when that will happen?  I suppose Bittrex will distribute the BTG once the blockchain goes live?
You are right. I don't think there  is a wallet which has given Bitcoin Cold to the Bitcoin holders. Because blockchain is not live and there is no wallet they can you use to access to Bitcoin Gold.

They are already on testnet. To participate as well as for updates. Its here: https://bitcoingold.org/blog/.
For wallets, There are a few listed on their site here https://bitcoingold.org/#ecosystem [Please be careful as there are phishing sites]
More wallets should be released. An example would be this one:

If you're talking about BTG fork, apparently, they also plan on releasing a forked version of Electrum for BTG, so you can follow pretty much the same process... get BTGElectrum, import private keys, send BTG to exchange, dump for free $$$ Tongue

3289  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Blockchain.info Android Wallet Error - please, help! on: November 07, 2017, 08:17:15 AM
I tried accessing my wallet through the android app and it works fine. Check yours again as it might be a temporary thing.

If you're still experiencing the same problem:

a).Check if you're using android 4.1+, if not then its not compatible
b).Check if you app is on the latest version 6.8.1, if not, Update it
c). Clear data and cache
or did you change your apps permission/s?

And your last resort is to obviously contact their support. Users above already provided some links. Make it concise and should be followed by proofs e.g. screenshots
3290  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum change addresses when importing private keys on: November 06, 2017, 07:26:20 PM
Can someone tell me why there is a need for change addresses? Can't we just send the "change" of the transaction back to ourselves?

Correct me If I'm wrong but I think its for the anomity which bitcoin promised, although its not completely anonymous even with the help of change addresses, I would call it pseudonymous instead.

Anyways, If there's no change addresses, It'll be easier to track your transactions particularly if you know who's behind a certain address because "change" allows your transactions to be ambigous as it makes the amount sent and the change indistinguishable.

I use only one address to receive my signature campaign payments and if I have something like 0.05BTC and want to send 0.03BTC to my local exchange, the remaining 0.02BTC is always sent back to my address. Is there is any issue on doing this?
In this case, It completely reveals the exact amount you sent as well as where did you sent them [which address]. Now if there is a change address, There will be a number of interpretations. From a strangers POV, you might have sent either .02BTC or .03BTC and at the same time there will be a two addresses (outputs): A). Local exchange B). Change address making him wonder which is which
_______________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________

If I create a wallet for the purpose of importing that private key, where will the change go? To the only address in the wallet? If I import two or more how does it decide which? I figure it's better to ask rather than experiment.. Smiley

Importing doesn't create a transaction so there will be no change because you will just be adding private keys to your bitcoin client.
3291  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What to do with BTC during SegWit2x? on: November 06, 2017, 01:08:34 PM
Thank you for the great information and suggestions.

If the SegWit2x fork is going to happen on or around November 16 what would be the latest date you would move the Bitcoin into a secure wallet such as Electrum, etc?

You should move your coins as soon as possible obviously. There's no need to leave things until the last minute right?, unless you want to experience thrilling danger zones.

How about coins.ph and blockchain.info wallet it is safe to keep our bitcoin? Because me i am planning to keep it my bitcoin in that two trusted wallet and if that is not safe i will withdraw all my bitcoin and re invest after the hard fork.

Coins.ph doesn't give you your private keys furthermore they haven't made any announcement if they will support it.
You can get your keys on blockchain.info but still its an online wallet thus its subjected to the common risks of it.

If you have bitcoin just transfer it where it safe i recommend electrum to hold your bitcoin during segwit2x a.. you can also claim a free fork coins after fork..
I would try this wallet, thanks for the recommendation and hoping that this bitcoin wallet is much secured and not lost my bitcoin after the fork.

Yah better store it with a wallet that provides your private keys as well as necessary features for security and convenience. I'm also using electrum and as for security its pretty safe as long as you keep it safe so coins won't be lost.
3292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: I just downloaded a bitcoin android mobile wallet. Where is my private key? on: November 06, 2017, 08:56:18 AM
After i entered the password and backed up, it created a dated file and then it asks me to archive wallet, then gives me 3 choices where to archive. If i archive doesnt this mean that my private keys will be sent thru an email?

You don't really need to archive it [There's a dismiss button]. Its just that the app advises users without removable sd cards to do it as well as people who only has their backup's on their device.

every time i enter a password it creates a new backup.

Well thats because, every backup is encrypted with a password so everytime you back up your wallet it'll ask for a password for that specific backup file.

i want to have my public keys and write them down on paper and its not letting me do that.

Its on Settings --> Diagnostics. If you want to write it down, click share --> Copy to clipboard and paste it in any notepad.

I still have not been able to retrieve the private keys thru this method.

If you want to export it follow this guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061691.0
3293  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Amazon accepting Bitcoin - What can go wrong? on: November 06, 2017, 03:52:10 AM
I think a high percentage of amazon customers opt for the free shipping option which can take 2+ weeks. Waiting for bitcoin to confirm, on top of a 2 week shipping time may not be that much of an inconvenience.

The "scaling problem" could be a good problem to have. One way of viewing it is: "bitcoin can't be used to buy a cup of coffee and isn't ready for a prime time, mainstream, role". The flipside of that might say that if bitcoin's network lacks the transactional volume to cover all transactions, retailers might expand their platform to include support for other crypto to fill the vacuum. One perspective is likely over-optimistic while the other is the opposite. The likely outcome could be somewhere inbetween the two.

Bitpay green lights transactions on the 1st confirmation which isn't too bad.

Amazon accepting bitcoin would be similar to an official endorsement. If the public sees amazon endorsing bitcoin while banker CEO's condemn bitcoin it will create a divide, a conflict of mainstream opinion as opposed to the typical unified front the media is often able to maintain. That could encourage the public to research and learn about crypto more rather than believe the mainstream media angle of it being a bubble, which could be a good thing even if transactions aren't instantaneous.

Thinking this way it makes sense. We are not talking about perishable food items that must be bought and consumed fast, we are talking about other products that don't have expiration date, so there isn't any problem in waiting some days or even weeks as you said to have the product sent. It's enough time to have the transaction finished paying a lower fee and if the transaction cancels because a very low fee reason, just cancel the package as well, it works fine.

And a big business like this can really make more people start thinking about Bitcoin and its advantages. There are many people who use Amazon services, but don't know or don't have interest in BTCs yet, but after an adoption like that it's possible that these people change their minds and spread the word about Crypto-Currency. It's good especially to make more sellers adopt BTC.

Still merchants won't process your order/s until after a decent number of confirmations on your transaction has been received so if you put a low fee and it took a few days before it reached the minimum confirmations, your order could be delayed and might no longer fit to the stated free shipping time frame.

So In conclusion to that I think its still a problem although I'm sure there are users who are still willing to pay high fees for fast confirmation.
3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: I just downloaded a bitcoin android mobile wallet. Where is my private key? on: November 06, 2017, 12:25:55 AM
To back up your wallet click the vertical three dots on the upper right --> Safety --> Back up wallet --> set a password  then press ok. It'll be used to restore your wallet so obviously your private keys lies there. Most wallets doesn't have an in-app tutorial but has a few ones on their official site although there are also ones which doesn't have any so your best shot is to navigate the app.

PS: I don't recommend this app. If you're into android/IOS wallets, better use mycelium for more security as well as ease of use.
3295  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are other forums for discussing bitcoin? on: November 05, 2017, 05:42:43 PM
Can you share with me other forum that exist for talking about bitcoin?

theres a lot of website now adays talking  about bitcoin but i think some of them are ponzi advertising link whenever  in internet . And also on facebook group theres a lot of people talking about bitcoin over there.  But ithink they are gaining bitcoin through  referrals as a commission every invited client.  Maybe legit  but if you want to join learn firts or read if it has positive feedback also.  Instead of searching on internet cause now adays theres alot of ponzi site made by scammers .be careful mate.

Almost all forums has a one or two ponzi/scam advertising link/s and there are two types of them [as far as I know]:
1). These are the advertised sites on the forum for the sole purpose of keeping the site up and running. Please note that these are not endorsed which is why there's a high possibility that a ponzi's/scam's/hyips etc. could be there;
2). These are what the members post and are typically prohibited.
As for the facebook groups, well yah theres nothing to argue as most groups are all about scams and other crap.

I've been to other forums and yes you can actually do a discussion there but most of the time there aren't many active people thats why a lot of them hibernates.
If you are dissatisfied here then I only recommend the sub reddit r/Bitcoin
3296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 5 days without confirmation!!! on: November 05, 2017, 04:13:25 PM
The miner fee you have included in your transaction was just plainly too low which is why its stucked. Please use this guide on your next transaction to avoid another situation like this. Here it is https://bitcoinfees.earn.com and Please do also check the current condition of the network because If its busy, it'll require you to add more sats,
Here it is: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Now, I quequed your transaction on Antpool and confirmtx.com so it should be confirmed within a few hours.

EDIT: Its now included on block 493214
3297  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: November 05, 2017, 02:41:26 PM

Hmm so i just deposited some byteball onto the exchange, never had any problems before now.  The byteball is confirmed from my wallet but not showing on bittrex.  In past its been super quick. What to do?

Theres nothing to do except to wait and contact their support because the problem clearly lies on them. Send a concise request followed by proofs e.g. TXID, screenshot/s etc. here https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Also try getting an invitation on their slack and ask there. I heard some users got replies there just don't forget to ask in a pleasant manner as they might ban you.
3298  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to move from Blockchain.info to Electrum? on: November 05, 2017, 11:11:12 AM
How did you export your private keys on blockchain.info? As the above guy have stated^^. There must have been a mistake.

Anyways, Correct me if I'm wrong but even on mac you should be able to import it on electrum just by using your recovery phrase on blockchain.info.
Just click the options button and tick the BIP39 Seed box when you are prompted to enter the seed.

3299  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transaction still pending in hitbtc on: November 05, 2017, 09:42:49 AM
I've read a similar case before where no transaction hash was shown until after the transfer was completed. Maybe you transacted with a huge amount of money because even if verification isn't needed for cryptocoins transactions, exchanges are still subjected to KYC and AML policies.

Well I know it sucks but still you have to comply with them and just wait for 48 hours.

However, some other people have said that there is fishy stuff going on with hitbtc.

Make sure in future, don't store too much on these exchanges.

Exchanges are always fishy imo, even if they aren't now, theres a high possibility that they will be someday.
Yah. Use it as an exchange not as a wallet so don't store much.
3300  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoin trading app on: November 05, 2017, 08:31:53 AM
People use apps most of the time for convenience but don't worry because even though localbitcoins don't have their official app yet. The site's mobile version is very responsive and has a nice look and feel. Have a look at this, I tried it on different mobile browsers but its looks the same. I use chrome in that

Just don't forget to always check if you're in the right site because there are many phishing sites of localbitcoins. Its usually found on the promoted sites on google if you search "localbitcoins".
_______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________

I know some legit apps on play store [well they also have their web version] but they're a local exchange so it depends which country you reside in.
Can you tell us which one?
