2982  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: LOST ALL MY MONEY By BLOCKCHAIN EXCHANGE on: December 12, 2017, 07:05:35 PM
I have used BlockChain exchange from blockchain btc wallet to blockchain eth wallet
my transactions had 0/0 confirmed for like 3/4days but since today its shows as Succses but... i didn't receive anything yet Link: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xdf47a553b1f06f89eda6a48a894c01a8a3a43a1e8ecd772e367379377ec92af3

What can i do to get my money back

You can track the progress of your exchange in your btc wallet (If btc to eth)/Eth wallet (If eth to btc). Can you tell us what it states? Or better yet, Send a screenshot here.

If you don't know what it looks like or where to find it. This article should help you: https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005177623-Exchanging-bitcoin-cash-BCH-for-bitcoin-BTC-or-ethereum-ETH-  (It's the 4th picture and the 5th one is where you can find it)

And don't worry you will not lose your coins. If ever the the trade failed, they will send a refund to your return address if you had entered one. If not they will ask you to contact their support and reference your TXID as well as state which address you want them to send the refund.
2983  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does the Cryptopia withdraw fee .002 BTC includes BTC transfer fee? on: December 12, 2017, 05:33:49 PM
Withdrawal is an on-chain transaction so it has a fixed fee of .002BTC in cryptopia. As for transferring which only occurs within the users of cryptopia, there will be no fees although I've never tried it  Roll Eyes. If you want you can test it first as cryptopia always displays the "fee" before you actually initiate a transfer/withdrawal.

I'm not familiar with this exchange, but 0.002 for withdrawal fee is just too high IMO. I dont know why they charges that high while they are not so popular exchange.

Their popularity is at a decent rate but I think people use this exchange because of the coins listed there. But yes .002 is too high especially when bitcoin's price just increased to several folds. I guess they don't want users complaining about their stuck transactions over an over again although its useless as a lot of people have bombarded them with another problem and that is their high withdrawal fee  Cheesy
2984  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SpicePay.com is it legit? on: December 12, 2017, 03:33:38 PM
I can't really say if its legit or not but the site is definitely visually attractive and doesn't seem to be a scam although I would advice you to not use them until they've gained a good reputation in the community because as you said there's hardly no reviews about them and its weird since they've been around since 2011 (based on the site's registration date), although their twitter account was created in 2013. Their facebook page is inaccesible so I can't know.

If you're just after their integrated payment processor. You can try these alternatives:

2985  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NEW FORK on: December 12, 2017, 02:51:51 PM
I think you have "Super Bitcoin" in mind! the snapshot for this fork was at 498,888 block height which happened 45 minutes before this comment of mine.

here are those that I know with their block height in front of them. it is starting to look like a bad joke.
Bitcoin God (GOD) = 501,225
Bitcoin Diamond = ?
Bitcoin Platinum = 500,000
Bitcoin Uranium = ?
Bitcoin Cash Plus = 501,407
Bitcoin Silver = ?

It seems like bitcoin forks are getting trendy these days to the point that it's degrading everytime. To be honest, I don't care anymore.

Anyways, I found something that intrigued me in their site  Shocked

Please remember: "This is just an experiment."

We are merely implementing the proposals recommended by the bitcoin community.

Only when we put talk into action can we make bitcoin great again.

Here's a full list and with some details of the possible upcoming forks: https://hype.codes/bitcoin-possible-upcoming-hard-forks

p.s. I think Yobit already distributed something which looks to me like Super Bitcoin! because I have a new airdrop added to my balance there.

Well that's yobit for you. They will list any coin as long as the devs paid them lots and as long as there is a demand without even reviewing it. But Have the devs launched the mainnet? Although I will not be surprised if yobit listed it without the mainnet.

2986  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UK Members - Would you use a Bitcoin ATM? on: December 12, 2017, 10:29:44 AM
I'm actually thinking of opening up a brick and mortar retail business sometime next year and if I do I will definitely be putting a bitcoin ATM in it. Will be interesting to see if many people use it but hopefully it will garner quite a bit of interest because there's not many in the UK and especially up north. Does anyone have a list of companies that make them? Preferably European based. Need to start doing some research.

In that case here's a site where most manufacturers are listed: https://coinatmradar.com/manufacturers. There are other articles there that might be useful to you since you're planning on getting a bitcoin ATM so I suggest that you should spend some of your time to navigate the site.

To add on, Aside from the lack of awareness, bitcoin ATM machines didn't really boomed in my country because of the high fees so you might wanna adjust it.

Mind telling us what kind of business is it? What are you planning to offer? Just a suggestion, but I really think that a combination of a brick and mortar plus an e-commerce would be good.
2987  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ecoin and wirexapp scam on: December 12, 2017, 08:37:34 AM
E-coin was rebranded to wirex last year, And based from the articles I read, E-coin users will not be affected by the integration process as the accounts will just be migrated to wirex.

The company stated:

There will be no changes to E-Coin users – all bitcoin debit card services will continue as normal and will not be affected during the integration process. We will continually update our users via email, and our customer service support will be happy to answer any questions.

You should also do a quick search in your mailbox.

Anyways, If the funds were really stored in your VCC, The monthly fees can't empty your account as it only cost $1/month

And the recent halting of card services in October 2017 shouldn't also affect you because even if you're outside EU, your card services will indeed be halted because only European countries are currently supported but from what they said below, funds will just be transferred to your wirex wallet.

Those affected outside the EU will no longer be able to use their card(s) for any transactions. The remaining balance on your cards will be transferred to your Wirex wallet. You will continue to have access your Wirex wallet to make transfers.

Wirex is legit imo and they won't risk their company for just a few bucks or a hundred or so. The only solution for this is to contact their support as there might be some problems. It's also recommended to follow it up on their social media sites.

Submit a request here: https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wirexapp
Twitter: https://twitter.com/wirexapp
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wirexapp

Figured this might be useful for your ease of mind as their company's headquarters are stated here: https://wirexapp.com/contact/
2988  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex personal info has been leaked? What to do if it has? on: December 11, 2017, 09:44:55 PM
Can anyone tell me how can I tell if I've been effected by this bittrex leak?

Unfortunately, you can't tell it before it happens. There will be some speculations but nothing will be concrete. And if it really occurs, we still don't know if all the users documents will be leaked as its also possible that a portion of it might be not.

https://cryptovest.com/news/bittrex-leaks-passports-shows-user-data-over-unsafe-connections/

There's very little news about this currently or even if it's true which i bloody hope its not.

It's my first time seeing the site so I don't know it's credibility but by just reading the article, Their evidence is very circumstantial I don't even know if it can really be considered as an evidence as you can't confirm it and view it. And as far as I know bittrex connection is secured, you can check it by clicking the padlock symbol.

But its indeed a problem on why bitrex didn't give any explanation on how they will store the users documents so I guess we can just hold to the fact that they won't mess it up as it's basically a self destruction to them.

Reporting my passport as stolen
Registering for a credit freeze
Change everything associated to bittrex email address
Change phone number

Yes. This should be fine
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long does it take for a bitcoin address to become inactive? on: December 11, 2017, 05:46:03 PM
I was meant to receive a bitcoin payment of 0.0005 BTC, i had no access to my wallet at the moment to generate a new address so I used an address that I used to receive transaction months ago. The transaction was sent and was visible in the blockchain but did not get into my wallet. Below is the transaction detail

https://blockchain.info/tx/83ff7af47529089fca4f0d8b7b0ebabf69bb26d002f1533fdc5a9c9974944864

This means I cannot receive the bitcoin anymore so ibwant to know how long a bitcoin address is valid

Double check if the address is correct, if its is then the problem lies in your wallet's side. Mind telling us which wallet did you use?

And from what I know, Bitcoin addresses don't expire so rest assured that as long as you hold that address' private key you can access your funds.

P.S. Nothing on this post is related on the topics discussed here in Legal sub-board. This should be moved on Technical Support or your wallet's board (If any)

The address was generated from my blockchain wallet and that is why I am most concerned because its unusual and the first time it ever happened.

How do I move this to the right trend? Moderator, any assistance?

This is actually the first time I'm hearing this kind of problem in blockchain.info.

Anyways, Try importing your wallet in electrum. (* Please Note that, this requires you to have your recovery phrase. If you don't have it you can get it at Settings --> Security --> Wallet Recovery Phrase)

Standard Wallet --> I already have a seed --> Enter your recovery phrase --> Options --> tick the BIP39 Seed Box --> Leave the derivation unchanged --> Set a stong password

After that you should be able to see its balance at the bottom left and spend it or whatever but if its still shows 0, Check at the "Addresses tab" if the address which receives the N amount of bitcoin is really there.

P.S. There should be an option called "Move topic" at the bottom left. Rather than technical suport, I think its more fitted at the Web Wallets sub-board. If you're on the right board the odds are you will get a better response.

Thanks for the link, same one as I have been using but they are just not replying anymore. Had around 5 mails not replied to now and no idea what to do next.

Try to follow it up on their social media sites particularly on facebook as they have been tagged as "Very responsive to messages" and "Typically replies instantly" although I don't know if their replies can actually be helpful as you might only get automatic replies.

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/xapoapp
Twitter: https://twitter.com/xapo

*Try to ask nicely and make it concise, avoid making it into a long essay and as much as possible include some proofs e.g. screenshots etc.

No every wallet provider will have a access to their client's wallet

In xapo's case, they have an access afaik but the users are not allowed to access it so if they deemed that you've violated their whatever TOS, they can block your account and  you who doesn't have your private keys can only beg xapo.

but they will ask you for the private key check the wallet and what is the issue to have your bitcoin wallet has been blocked or hacked.

Oh hey that's pretty shady imo. Staffs shouldn't have any access to your wallet. If someone claiming to be a staff of any wallet says the exact same thing, It meant "give your private keys to us and we will check if you really have funds so we can transfer it to our wallet"

2993  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: stuck transaction on: December 10, 2017, 12:06:05 PM
The mempool has stabilized a little compared from the last few days which had 200K+ unconfirmed transactions. Right now its down to 100K+ but the included fee in your transaction is still not enough for miners to pick it up.

For now you can use this free transaction accelerator: https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator, It has a limit of 100 transactions per hour so you have to submit your TXID after an hour starts (XX:00:00)-- you can use the clock in our forum at the top right corner.

However one of your transaction has an unconfirmed parent so that parent must get confirmed first before it does.

Enter A first and once it received confirmations (I recommend at least 3) you can now enter B

I have heard that some people have access to F2pools or something like that and can push with it. any info about that ? again Thank you very much for reply <3

The only ones I know are macbook-air and Quickseller. There are some newbies who claims they have one but most likely its a lie.

And relax, Someone already accelerated your transaction in viabtc. If he really did, it will definitely confirm just give it some time. They also have their own block records on their site which I preferred to use for easy tracking. Here we go: https://pool.viabtc.com/pool/BTC/state
2995  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FOUND WHO IS BEHIND HITBTC on: December 09, 2017, 09:28:11 PM
Hi guys, does anyone knows has some info about who is behind Hitbtc?
I have two accounts, and from one week they are holding my transfers, my money are blocked into their platform!
So my questions is, i have seen a lot of people got scammed from them, does anybody had the same experience, did you solved this?

Let's gather some information all together about Hitbtc.

might be interesting to receive some private infos in exchange of ETH Wink

Of course you're not the only one, Every exchange has a bunch of scam accusations but you definitely have more chance of getting a reply from their support than finding out who's behind them. Just ask nicely and contact their support because you don't really have a choice do you? Even bittrex who's been swinging their ban hammer 24/7 hasn't even received any legal complaint.

People will likely spew out some speculations rather than facts in exchange for the ETH's

2997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Shed a light on my BTC not confirmed... on: December 09, 2017, 04:05:03 PM
It's a change address. Basically when you spent an output to sent an N amount to someone the remainder will go to an address generated by of course your wallet. The funds are yours.

Aside from the low fee, It's unconfirmed because it is spending from a chain of unconfirmed outputs. The unconfirmed parents should be confirmed first before it does.

It's in this order. In short, The first one has to be confirmed before the second one and the third one won't confirm unless the 2nd one does and so on.

Try the second tool that was mentioned here:

Try to drag and drop your .aes.json file in this page[1] to restore your wallet.

If it doesn't work, try to use this tool[2] to decrypt your file and get your private keys.

[1] https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet
[2] https://github.com/blockchain/my-wallet-backup-decryption-tool

And forget blockchain.info's support regarding that problem, Most likely they will either ignore it or say insignifant things. Never heard of a guy with a similar problem who got an actual help from their support.
2999  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Lost Bitcoin - Mycelium on: December 09, 2017, 01:28:31 PM
That's my Mycelium wallet. It is empty of BTC now (it wasn't up until the failed broadcast the other day). The wallet had received and sent a number of BTC in the past so not sure why it says there hasn't been any transactions

I've checked your address and it didn't have any transactions. Where did you get it? At the "receive" button? If so then you probably entered a wrong address because addresses at the "Receive" button changes once it received a transaction.

To view all your used addresses go to Accounts --> Click the account where the N address belongs --> Click the vertical three dots --> Sign Message

Check if its the correct address by pasting it in any block explorer

But what do you mean you cancelled your transaction?
3000  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Trade Failed - Btc to ETH on: December 09, 2017, 12:06:52 PM
How can my address could be wrong if i made all that in the "Exchange" field? If i was transfering btc to ETH, if for any reason the transaction fails, the money should return to where it started. Huh

You can't send a bitcoin to an ETH address it should be bitcoin --> bitcoin and ETH --> ETH only. That's the reason why they said that they don't have a valid return address for you. They will ask for an ETH address where they will send your eth after they have confirmed your deposit so make sure that you have only entered an ETH address for that. You can double check it at your ETH wallet.

"Your pending transaction expired before we received your deposit.

Most probably they set a limited time for your deposit like for example, 1 hour, if they didn't receive the deposit within that time your session will expired.
Please note that in most cases they will require a certain number of confirmations before they consider your deposit valid. The mempool is currently overloaded right now so if you didn't sent it with a very high fee it might take longer to confirmed or worse might get stucked in limbo.

Well, i've contacted their support and the answer wasn't helpful: ""If it eventually is rejected, then the funds would remain at the bitcoin address they were sent from. The only thing you can do at this point is to wait and see if the transaction is accepted into a block. Like all wallet providers, Blockchain.info has absolutely no control over this, and cannot expedite transactions. This is always dependent upon the bitcoin network of miners, which we are not a part of."

Can you help me on this? What can i do to solve this issue?
