2701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why have some Market Place no Transaction fees on: February 07, 2018, 12:05:20 AM
It's because cryptocurrency withdrawals are free on GDAX (transaction fee's are always showed before withdrawal). See it here:

Deposits and Withdrawals

Crypto Deposit: Free
Crypto Withdrawal: Free

I really have a feeling that this will not last long because aside from the other cryptocoins shouldering bitcoin fee's for a long time is just unsustainable.

I'm guessing this is just another strategy to gain customers?? nevertheless it's still a good thing so we should use it until it runs out  Cheesy
2702  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor vs some random hard drive? on: February 06, 2018, 11:44:28 PM
Well I'd just as well use this thread to ask a question about this forum. How do you set your avatar?

While it's not a rule, hijacking someone else's thread is still not encouraged so next time create your own thread.

Moving on to your question, you currently cannot add an avatar as it is only available for full members and up. For starters, I'll recommend you to read all the stickies here in this forum particularly on this board and on Meta.
2703  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: February 06, 2018, 04:14:26 PM
Does it work at the moment?

Yes it is and since the mempool is no longer congested, a lot of people no longer have to use it which is why you can still enter your transaction hash even if it's not exactly XX:00:00  (I just entered one at XX:04 and it was accepted).

Fee's are also way cheaper now compared on december or so when the mempool is still congested.

sorry, I also do not quite understand this,
but if we are not sure better not use this service

Seems like you're not familiar with viabtc... It's a mining pool and they have this service that will let you include your transaction in the next block they mine.
A lot of people have already used this but the problem is when there is too much people using it causing the service not to work or decrease your chance getting your transaction inlcuded in their queue which actually happened in the last few months.
2704  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of this site, are deceptive, all fake!! on: February 06, 2018, 06:38:32 AM
Bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous plus the sites listed are anonymous so I doubt that you're gonna get your money back.

Instead of buying an account, it'll be much better to just put an effort ranking up that account you're using.

And also If you're gonna do trades here in this forum, unless they're trusted always use an escrow as there are a lot of scammers.
2705  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How long will it take and how much will the fee be? on: February 06, 2018, 02:20:41 AM
If I send $100 btc using Exodus or Electrum how much will the fee be? How many days will it take to clear?
Exodus wallet: You can’t control the number of fees "set custom fee". In general, they use conversions such as this site https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/.
Fee will be about 170 sat/b "without segwit " High fee Not recommended.
How many days will that take to confirm?

If you're gonna go with the recommended fee on bitcoinfees then that will be included in a block very fast but you don't need to pay that high since the mempool is pretty much empty these days to the point that even the 5 sat per byte transaction's are getting through. Actually I made one a few hours ago with a 36 sat/byte fee and it got confirmed in just a few minutes.

Just to be clear when it comes to miner fees, the amount you're sending to has nothing to do with it as the factors that mainly affects it are: the size (how many inputs and outputs) and the current network condition (overloaded or nah). For instance, a $100 can be in 1-2 inputs which will be cheaper and it can also be in 10+ inputs which will require higher fees. As for the network condition, if its overloaded meaning to say if there's huge number of pending transactions to be confirmed, fees will be higher and lower if there's nothing much.

You can check the network condition here: https://dedi.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#2h.
And I actually use this one in estimating fee's aside from the mainstream ones: https://estimatefee.com
2706  Economy / Exchanges / Re: withdraw limit on: February 05, 2018, 11:26:37 PM
Some month ago we were allowed to withdraw crypto currencies of a value of 2000$ a day, if we are not registered with a proof or residence and we did not deposit a passport, ID.

Is this still the same? Can we still withdraw crypto currencies of a value of 2000$ a day in this case?

(I am afraid of the following fictive scenario:
I deposit cryptos in the value of 2000$ on Poloniex. I trade. I have now cryptos of 3000$. I try to withdraw 2000$. Now, Poloniex is freezing my 3000$ and says: "You can withdraw it as soon you give us your ID.)

Thank you.
They would act against their own rules and notification.
https://m.poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.12.27-Notice-to-legacy-account-holders/
"Withdrawals will remain enabled at the daily withdrawal limits prior to the deadline."
So you should have time to withdraw. Poloniex is not acting like Bittrex did and providing a fair procedure.

Its quiet odd that poloniex did able to hold that account and do ask to have a KYC procedure even op did tried to withdraw to its maximum withdrawal for non-verified accounts. If they are asking such documentation then they are really acting against their TOS which isn't right at all. I do have non-verified account on polo but I'm not being asked to have that verification. So this is just on random?

The latest press release about legacy accounts is just a pre-notice of about what to happen in the coming days (read it) and in fact there's still no exact date up until now.

And just to clear things, Only accounts which are created before polo changed some of their policies are entitled of $2000 withdrawal limit per day. Now If you'll create an account on polo today, you will not be able to trade unless you verify your account.
2707  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebtc.pro and btc-miner.net on: February 05, 2018, 06:45:58 PM
Actually both of them shouldn't be trusted

Freebtc(dot)pro is an obvious scam as it claims that you can generate bitcoins by just clicking a single button  Huh which is just beyond impossible because if that's true, people wouldn't spend their time mining (and that is not how it works) in addition to that how is the owner even earning when he's just basically giving away money because when I tried it the site claims that I can get .1BTC if I deposited 0.0045BTC. The reason is he's earning through people's deposit without giving a single cent back.

(Stay longer and you'll see that the chats are just repeating over and over again)

As for Btc-miner(dot)net, It seems like its a bitcoin mining software for PC and laptop. Sorry but if you're not gonna use ASIC's bitcoin mining is not even worth to try as it's no longer profitable and yet the site claims that you can earn 0.05 BTC in 4-5 days  Shocked

But actually, the software itself is not open source and the site is not reputable enough so that should be an enough reason to stay away.
2708  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC HELP! Accidental fee of $570 with ViaBTC Pool on: February 05, 2018, 04:50:28 PM
ViaBTC dont answer by mail !

I have a problem with withdraw funds and can't resolve it

CLICK FOR THE PICTURE

I decided to transfer all my devices from viabtc
No explanations and the money is frozen in their accounts for a week

How long have you been waiting? From what I experienced they're usually fast on replying but yes if you think about it, there might have been a huge backlog on their support since the other services has it.

Anyway try to also follow up your problem on their SNS below:

2709  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discord Escrow Service on: February 05, 2018, 12:56:02 AM
This isn't safe, because you don't know who people are on discord and your group probably will be accused of trying to scam.

Unless of course you have one of the reputable members from the forum in your group acting as the primary escrow, then I doubt that anyone is going to use your discord service. It's basically the same as sending someone that you don't know a large sum of money over the internet.

Anyone reading this thread and wanting to find a legit escrow, I recommend using someone on the forum that has dark green trust and has escrowed previously lots of funds for projects and individuals. Don't just find some random guy and tell him to escrow funds for you.
I agree with you 100% this is just meant for for small investments for altcoins escrow. That is why we are trying to build up the discord community to gain trust, we have testimonials so people can see escrows we provided for other.

I use discord from time to time but I just don't see it as way for doing escrows even as an alternative  Huh. How will you prove to your clients that those testimonials are true? since from what I know discord doesn't even have a feedback system or anything that is made specifically for trades.

But yes as mentioned above, it's another story if the trusted escrows are from here. You can just link their profiles there, sign a message etc... and also feature "quick trades" as one of your selling point given that you're in a group chat because unplanned trades which requires an escrow in the nearest time are always there but this requires your agents to be active most of the time Undecided.
2710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Finney. How to withdraw? on: February 04, 2018, 06:57:05 PM
Yes, 1000 finneys = 1 ETH.
To tell the truth, the app let you to withdraw only when you collect 1000 finneys. I collected 1000 finneys and tried to withdraw them to my CEX.IO ETH deposit. But I haven't get my 1 ETH to deposit. So, I thought that I must have special wallet for finneys. And decided to post a question here.
Or maybe I must wait more. It has passed two days after my attempt to withdraw.

I haven't heard of this finney's and it's somewhat fishy that you can obtain 1 eth by just collecting? How long did it take for you to collect 1000 finney's anyway?

So before anything else, Can you post a link of this app here? just to prove it's legitimacy.

2711  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info playing up, no visible input boxes for "from" and "to" on: February 03, 2018, 01:06:42 PM
--Snip--

Not sure about the average time but it could really take a long time like a month or so? and not to mention it doesn't guarantee that you will get an answer that you're hoping for, I've seen lot's of people who got crappy unrelated answers from them.

It's been really a while since this notice showed up and it's still there until now

Notice: Our support team is currently under heavy load and may take longer than usual to respond to your request.

You should seriously consider importing your wallet into another like for example electrum which I believe I posted a tutorial of in my previous post (#3). Just be sure to get the latest version.

2712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain’s S9 January shipments on: February 03, 2018, 12:22:49 PM
Again thanks for all the replies.

I sent a message to Bitmain via this link https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/requests/new inquiring about this order. Is this the correct place to ask them since this is not my order?

Yes that's the form for their support and it's fine since you can ask them anything as long as it's related to bitmain.

You can also follow up your inquiry in their SNS:

2713  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain’s S9 January shipments on: February 02, 2018, 10:17:33 PM
Thanks for the replies. The ebay seller provided an invoice today:

https://i.imgur.com/sTvjpMs.jpg

Does this look legit?

My understanding of the order process with Bitmain is you must watch Twitter for them to tweet about a batch and then you must go to the link they provide and commit before they are all sold out which happens in minutes. Is this correct? And you must pay by either USD wire transfer or BCH?

Yes If a new batch opens they will post it on their SNS so upon checking bitmain opened a new batch for S9's on: November 7, 2017 and Novermber 10, 2017. There's no openings on November 27 (or anywhere near that) which is the date they paid the order according from the invoice they sent. Also slots on S9's tend to be taken pretty fast so I doubt that Batch November 10 lasted until 27  Huh

Anyways, You can check the validity of this invoice by contacting bitmain's support  Wink
2714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can all crypcocurrency coins and tokens be stored on the Trezor Hardware wallet? on: February 02, 2018, 08:45:19 PM
Ledger supports more coins than trezor. Here's a full list: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/cryptocurrencies

As for trezor you can see the full list here: https://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-faq/overview.html#which-coins-are-currently-supported

Also all ERC20 tokens are supported for both but you have to use https://www.myetherwallet.com/
2715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitGrail - Withdraw is not allowed anymore for my Country. What now? on: February 02, 2018, 06:01:30 PM
Have you read the update on reddit? It says if you're unverified, you have to close your account first to receive your funds in BTC

The possibility to deposit and withdraw will be available very soon for verified users. Moreover, will be given the opportunity to withdraw their funds without converting them to BTC, both for EU and EXTRA-EU users. In this case they should be verified (or verify), withdraw and if needed close accounts. For the others, with the intention to withdraw without being verified, as written in the ToS, they will have to close their accounts and receive the equivalent of funds in their accounts in BTC.

One of the staffs said that account termination will start today but according to this, seems like no one has been terminated yet hence received their funds.

You can contact them via support ticket,

2716  Other / Meta / Re: Loyalty of the participants to their campaign? on: February 01, 2018, 09:50:29 PM
The thing is there's no written rule about that which allows users to jump from another campaign without finishing their previous one. It also depends on who's the manager on the particular campaign since some may allow it and some may not which can lead to being blacklisted but from what I observed most managers allows it as long as you will inform them beforehand.

So in short it is more like an etiquette here not a rule which is must.

*Bitotal Cryptocurrencies and Indexes Trading Platform --- Signature campaign

Bitotal's payment rates is most likely dependent on US Dollars ($) since I noticed that they changed it again but only in btc not on the $

Current:

2718  Other / Meta / Re: Were sMerits being wasted ? on: February 01, 2018, 06:03:17 PM
But what is the point when they were wasted into those old posts . sMerit are limited and with this problem,

You shouldn't look on the dates but on the content. If the post is really constructive enough to be given a merit then I see no problem.

it gonna becomes more and more rarely for people who really need it ? I know theymos added 49 sMerit resource but seems like it's still tough enough for members to get some sMerits from them.

Merits are supposed to be scarce  Wink

The new merit system was added to looking for an anti-spam and shitposting , yes i do agree it works but it makes things becoming miserable for those people who has an average quality posts ( they hardly to get a sMerits from their posts) .
I badly want to listen for your ideals much to help this merit system going to the perfect way.

I've seen your posts, They're not average but just a spam that doesn't add anything and yes most of them are in spam megathreads.

Friendly tip: Start reading because if you do, you have more knowledge to share. After that you can look for threads that are offering a post review to see if some of them are worthy enough to be merited https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2832127.0
2719  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo will start charging a fee to receive transactions on: February 01, 2018, 05:27:29 PM
To my mind that's a shame to earn money from faucet farmers.
I remember when I was still new to bitcoin and I started out with faucets although I'm still into faucets but xapo doesn't fit it anymore. You're profit from claiming satoshi's with different faucets will be gone when you are about to transfer it to an exchange or any wallet that you are comfortable with.

It's not just about xapo but the whole idea of "faucet" is not that worth it anymore.

If they don't have good profit from their business (which I doubt highly because a lot of people uses their service + rich ones).
They had a good profit, they had other service like debit card which has also high fee.

Despite their overflowing profits don't forget that businesses are always looking for "new customers" and the same also goes for xapo which is why they are still into these faucet things. If you're an owner of a business, you will be always on the lookout for new opportunities, you just don't stop at one point just because you're already earning enough.

sorry, but now i dont see any 7 numbers

You're missing a step  Cry you have to click the "Show the last posts of this person" option since you will be viewing your own.

As much as possible give all the above options a try first since this was already suggested above.
