2421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: wnp.com scam? on: July 02, 2018, 10:31:18 AM
Red Flags I've found:

Sketchy domain name (heck If I were to start a business, I wouldn't name it like that)
Registration date is "1997-06-09" (Whois link) but only two reviews were found by me which are not really credible imo (First l Second), highly likely to be a recycled website.

Uses stock photos in their testimonials

This is from their site:

2422  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Tidex.com is Scam on: July 01, 2018, 04:22:24 PM
Is this site a scam? They muted me in chat for asking about my withdrawal, "closed" the market (key/btc) that I bought and "successfully" withdrew (it shows a TXID but says it doesnt exist ...)

put in a ticket, no response after hours ...

admin muted me in chat for asking about withdrawal twice

i am getting really, really nervous

it says theres millions of dollars in trading volume going on even now though ...

can anyone help

Trollbox in most exchanges are imposed with strict rules. I suspect they considered it as spam.

After hours? Give it a day or two at least although I can't guarantee they'll really respond within that time frame for the reason that exchanges these days have a turtle-like support. Then again, your problem could also be solved on its own. I'm guessing, the transaction is signed but hasn't been broadcasted yet. Whatever the case is, there's only one option but to wait.
2423  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain,info isn't sending autorizations emails. on: June 30, 2018, 02:03:37 PM
For the past 4 days i'm not able to login to my account because of not receiving autorization emails, also  already sended 3 support tickets and im not receiving any answer, i'm starting to get really nervous what u guys think i can do?
Just a rough assumption : Since the have changed domains and earlier the used to send through the emailer which was 'blockchain.info', maybe the new one is still not configured or is still in the process ? I'll be dammed if blockchain.info forgot to change their mailing servers lol

Someone please confirm their issue has been solved.

Tried logging in: First try >> Nothing >> Waited for 5 mins >> Refresh (2nd Try) >> Success.

Their newsletter's already: <newsletters@blockchain.com>
while the confirmation email is still: <no-reply@blockchain.info>
2424  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Verif withdrawal does not work in HITBTC on: June 30, 2018, 11:45:57 AM
I discussed the difference hitbtc, whether friends friends also experience it ?

I have verified up to 20 times, and nothing works. From a kind of token statement that I do remains the same.

This is about the verification email for withdrawals right? Not for accounts?  Cheesy

Can you make it clear what exactly happened? What token statement? The invalid token error?.
At any rate, inform their support about this.

Also, you're not in the right board. Move it in Exchanges . At the bottom left, tap the "move topic"

Hi

My Panel screen .

I can not take my balance. is Disable now ETH and BTC for this Coin.

Judging from the symbol it indicates, the wallet is in maintenance. If you don't know what that is, here: What does it mean when a wallet is in maintenance?

I checked their site for news and:

News & Updates

FXE / RMC / ETN
We have become aware of vulnerabilities in three similar Ethereum contracts (Remicoin, Futurxe, Ethernex). Until further notice we have halted the markets and the wallets will remain offline.
2018-06-30

Your money is not lost, once they fixed this you should be able to trade and withdraw. What you can do now is to wait for the news.
2426  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain,info isn't sending autorizations emails. on: June 30, 2018, 10:51:35 AM
Its a not a common problem, but it sometimes happens to blockchain.info users that use the less popular webmail services. I think Gmail or Yahoomail accounts usually have not been affected.

Not what it seems to me at least. The number of times I've seen this problem not just here but from other forums as well made me unable to merely call it "sometimes".

How many times did this problem occur for your account in this month, and what webmail service are you using?

That said, if its not "sometimes", then its "always". Then can it can happen to anyone for more than 50 times in one month?

Last time I check, common doesn't equate always. It is defined here as "a more likely occurence" while "always" means at all times. Clearly, I wasn't saying that this problem happens everytime a user logs in.

And I didn't arrived on the said conclusion because I was thinking of the number of times it could occur in single person (+time). I was thinking of it as a whole; how most users are likely to have experienced this problem at least once.
2427  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT steals my Marijuaha ((( on: June 29, 2018, 11:55:09 PM
Dont bother to sent tickets or contact them because it would take forever for them to reply a single ticket. For now you dont have any choice but to wait up until they do resolve it out. Lucky if they would but if not then its a disaster thing.

It's true they have a turtle support but getting your money after a year is still better than not getting anything.

The waiting game is so friggin' hard which is why if you're gonna do it, you ought to do everything you can to increase your chances. Spending 10 minutes for sending a ticket ain't that exhausting anyway.
2428  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pirate Bay warning: internet provider forced to hand over names on: June 29, 2018, 11:17:06 PM
Heres a question on file sharing. If I convert a song from a CD and copy it to my friend's USB drive, will that be considered piracy? Why arent the companies concerned with it? Its technically the same as sharing a file on Bittorent.

thats also piracy, i know a person sued for photocopying from a book of the professor who was teaching in same university, he saw first person doing photocopying and he asked him that the book is copyrighted, they had argument and the professor went to court. this was in London.

Aye, Piracy involves unauthorized distribution/copying of anything that is copyrighted. By definition, it is piracy.

While it's true that both methods are just "sharing", the results are different depending on which platform is used. If you upload it in any torrent sites, literally everyone can access it and get them for free, some popular torrent sites even get insane massive traffics. On the other hand, the number of people that could get their hands on the files in a flash drive is significantly lower.

Surely they are concerned but please do note that:
- Someone has to tip the authorities if person A copied something illegally. Let's take your example: If you copied and distribute something that is copyrighted, what is the probability of someone informing the authorities about it? Pretty low right?
- They are more focused in a method where they can halt the most number of users--exactly torrents
2429  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [NEWS] Blockchain.info has now moved to blockchain.com on: June 29, 2018, 10:06:17 PM
Potato chips used to give perfect update but I do not think it is needed to be here on this section. These kind of press releases should be press release section from here mate. I do not know this actually truth news from the blockchain team.
However by checking the Luxumberg secured we can take that to use the wallet.

First, This is a board for web wallets and my post is about it, It fits here imo.
Second, An email from them doesn't count as an article; hence, couldn't fit on press board
Third, If you're talking about the RBS blog post, it doesn't count as it's not about domain moving. I mentioned it to emphasize my "assumption" of the big change blockchain.info might be starting

You can always verify if it's true or not by accesing their .info site
2430  Economy / Web Wallets / [NEWS] Blockchain.info has now moved to blockchain.com on: June 29, 2018, 09:44:37 AM
I just received their mail so I immediately accessed their .info site and there I was redirected to ---->> https://www.blockchain.com
The look and feel is still similar from the old one and I think that's good aye.

We're excited to officially unveil a new and unified Blockchain!

Earlier this month we announced that we would be consolidating blockchain.info into blockchain.com to create a seamless experience for our users.

Some of you remember way back in August 2011 when blockchain.info was created with the simple idea to make bitcoin transactions and its ecosystem more accessible. Seven years later, we're now the most trusted company in the industry, thanks to all of you.

With your help, we've done a lot over the years but still have a long way to go in building the future of finance. We know your needs are ever-changing, and we want to be prepared to offer you the end-to-end experience you've been waiting for. That starts today.

In addition to creating a single home for all of our existing products, we've been working hard at perfecting some new ones. In the coming months we'll be bringing you new and exciting products and features you've been hoping for, so keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

In the meantime, you'll now find all of your .info favorites, including your wallet, on blockchain.com, which (we're excited to say) has a fresh new look! Find the new site for logging into your wallet below and bookmark it because this one's here to stay.

Sounds like this entire domain moving is only a start of something although I don't know what it is. Recently they launched this Blockchain Principal Strategies.
Read it here: https://blog.blockchain.com/2018/06/28/blockchain-launches-institutional-product-blockchain-principal-strategies/

Have you used that account to trade at least once? because if no, you can't vote.

Or maybe you have used your free votes?
2433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Facebook buy crypto exchange on: June 28, 2018, 09:52:48 AM
After all the effort of building a blockchain research team, they're just gonna buy a shitty exchange? meh that's quite dumb, probably just a rumor. We'll see...
2434  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain,info isn't sending autorizations emails. on: June 28, 2018, 09:16:53 AM
A very common problem for blockchain.info users

What about your spam folder? Did you check it?
Are you not using yahoo or gmail? If so, that might be the problem
I do hear from people that problem such as this solves by itself. What they did is basically to login from time to time. About their support, try your luck on their SNS e.g. twitter

Last resort would be to import your wallet into another for example in electrum. You do have your 12-word seed right?
Here's a tutorial: Restoring your standard wallet from seed

Since it's urgent (or not??), it's best to just contact a designer yourself.

Here's a list: Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar, etc) Last Update: 05-Jun-2018

Problem is, even shitcoins which are honest and not scams, overpopulate the market. Market overpolation may cause crashes or loss of morale. When the market is overcrowded it is drowning, exceedingly competitive.

We are in an insanely competitive world like everything you do you, you have rivals so it'll be more weird if cryptocurrencies doesn't have any significant competition going on.
In fact it's not as bad as you think, because of it people strive to produce good results with an intention of exceeding the other and we can also see how many people are supporting/interested in this new technology.

Quote from: Hedda Gabler
there are too many coins to chose from to maintain curiosity. Even if your coin is the next best thing, people will not feel hype, because there are so many others to choose from.

What? So they have the ability to produce this "next best thing" but doesn't know how to promote it? LOLOLOLOL

And don't blame the devs just because you guys have too many choices to choose from. It's your job to look and to search. Now if you can't bother to do that then maybe you're not suited for it?. I do understand that it's a lot of work but please do remember that making money from an easy-going-attitude is impossible now.

Quote from: =Hedda Gabler
This in turn devalues the value of all other coins, because people are spreading their money thin rather than putting it all in one hype coin.

It's called strategy to minimize risks. If a coin gets axed for not getting any decent volume, don't blame its rivals. The coin just lacked something essential to go higher that's it.
2437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to identify SCAMS? on: June 27, 2018, 11:34:57 AM
When in doubt, it's better to do nothing  Cheesy. And you can always buy those tokens once it hits the market, it's more safer that way. If you're thinking it'll be higher than the ICO price then, please note that it's not always the case as the price is out of the dev's control after it's listed on the market.

Still, majority of scam ICO's are not as polished as you think. The sad truth is these flaws are only revealed once it's confirmed they're a "scam", proves that people did only bother BG checking once they felt they might have been scammed.

Look back and see if you really did check the project throughly. There are a lot of great articles on google if you search "How to spot a scam ICO" like this one, you could use them as a reference. Doubt everything, verify if all the information is true, make sure that everything make sense not just "professional" and "smart" looking

I feel sorry that good people fall for scams but it also serves as lesson to be cautious in future.
yes they are an experience but I have never seen any project that provide you something without paying? like you want to buy their tokens then obviously you have to pay.
please tell me some projects which does not require any payment?

There's no ICO where you don't have to pay but most of them do offer bounties where you will do certain works (mostly advertising) for them in exchange for their coins.
2438  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is blockchain.info to be trusted? on: June 27, 2018, 06:24:13 AM
Isn't that fact alone proves their incompetence? I'm pretty sure this will have an effect on their users.

If you really want an up-to-date experience, you can't rely on blockchain.info as they are reaaaalllly slow on developments. They are more likely to add another coin or any for-more-profits stuffs than to actually fix an essential problem.

Use core or electrum.
2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of SCAM Airdrops on: June 27, 2018, 05:12:16 AM
Good information tho, well how do we know thats the airdrop wasn't scam, because I've seen a lot of airdrops on twitter and haven't do it one of them yet, and I would like to do. So what's your suggestions for this?

It is not possible to tell an airdrop as a scam. But always make sure not to give your private key to any one and always check the url of myetherwallet before entering private key to access your account.

How is it not possible when OP himself has done it? On top of that, he didn't even need to join and be robbed in order to arrive on that conclusion so I don't get where did "It is not possible to tell an airdrop as a scam" came from?

Imo one should need an understanding of the basics of cryptocurrency as well as a tad bit of common sense in order to have a good judgement. If you're done with that, this thread should be useful https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4435067.0 (and google ofc)
2440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a summary of bounties? on: June 23, 2018, 11:50:09 PM
I don't think that such stats exist. There are just too many bounties to collect this information that you want to know. We don't even know how many bounties starts each day/week/month. Offcourse, it would be interesting how many bounties paid, how many scammed and etc, but I wouldn't expect that someone will create such summary Smiley

In addition to that, It'll take a lot of work to make it as accurate as possible which is why I do wonder why OP needs this information aside from the reason that it's fun/interesting to know as I doubt that anyone would put such effort if it's just for that.
