2741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 18-Jan-2018] on: January 25, 2018, 08:17:31 AM
I need to figure out how I can get a post of yours after mine Fatanut, so that you can keep editing that and so that people can give you merit as well.

Fatanut should be fine since merits are irreversible from what I understand. Quoting what Theymos said:

How about if the post merited is deleted? Will the merit count? Or erased too? Because somebody could just use merit for unreasonable purpose.

The merit is not undone if the post is deleted.

I guess we can test this after fatanut deletes his previous update.
2742  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 7.8 BTC lost due to an error in blockchain.info on: January 24, 2018, 10:06:33 PM
I go to the previous tab and nothing happens. Tried to clean cookies.

But did it download a file or something?

Have you already checked your email account?

mobnepal, thanks, but in my case this article did not help.
In my wallet there is no address 1573vMtM5nM6p9ce13hxQHfsuh31qEfit9. And I can not find the private key from him. There is an address of 1Dv4nM1eBpasjXssNvF9hb7dnXYoR8JLoZ and I have a private key from it.

I tried importing old phrases into Jaxx and Electrum wallets -- they do not recognize it.
I tried to import a new seed phrase (from the wallet blockchain.info) into Jaxx and Electrum wallets  -- wallets do not display imported addresses.

Are the addresses 1Dv4.... and 1573... imported addresses? or generated using blockchain.info?

How did you get ahold of the PK of address 1Dv4...? Is it viewable on your blockchain.info account?

Blockchain.info switched to HD wallets on Feb 3, 2016, are you sure you did not upgraded since there's also a possibility that you have generated the addresses from an HD wallet. Then again it seems that you have already tried importing the new seed from Settings --> Security --> Wallet Recovery Phrase --> Backup Phrase. But what do you mean they do not display imported addresses? do you mean they created addresses which you don't recognize?
2743  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Creating an offline wallet in Bittrex on: January 24, 2018, 05:20:44 PM
Are you asking if its possible to create an offline wallet in your bittrex account? Then No that would be impossible. Bittrex is a trading platform so it shouldn't be treated as a wallet. Sure there's a wallet for every coin there but it is for the sole purpose of "trading" which is the service they provide.

Now if you want to secure your coins as it seems like you're going for a long term holding, you should buy a hardware wallet such as ledger or trezor and store your coins there.

If a certain altcoin is not supported, I'm sure there's a desktop wallet of it which you can use. Just always maintain a clean PC.
2744  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 24, 2018, 04:02:03 PM
All done. Electrum worked perfectly with those 12 words phrase and I was able to get my balance out.

Hey, thank you very much. I really appreciated how much you helped me out on this

Well that's a relief and no problem  Cheesy. Now that you think about it, I should have checked it first if you're using the new interface or not  Cry

Anyways, Just a little advice for a much better security If you're gonna stick with electrum otherwise ignore this.

Create a new wallet in electrum and transfer the funds there (that were originally from blockchain.info) since you are still using the private keys/seed from blockchain.info which is why your funds will be accessible on both wallets (electrum and blockchain.info).

And always encrypt your wallet with a strong password.
2745  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 7.8 BTC lost due to an error in blockchain.info on: January 24, 2018, 03:45:38 PM
If not, could you check your email account?
Email account for this wallet was added a week ago. For check "Notifications - Get notified when you receive bitcoin - Receive by - Email". I sent a some bitcoins to the address 1573vMtM5nM6p9ce13hxQHfsuh31qEfit9  -- Notification has not been received.

No I mean check your email if there's a .aes.json file. Some users got their's on their email account.
There should be a search bar there.

if you don't have the backup or unable to find it, try this thing below.
https://blockchain.info/wallet/ {Your ID } ?format=json
How to use it?
"initial_error": Authorization required. Check your email.

Exactly as it sounds, Check your email and authorize it.
2746  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 24, 2018, 02:23:38 PM
No. I get 12 words there

Alright. I'm thinking that you must have upgraded or maybe it was forced?? so there must be an HD wallet by default and funds are there  Huh

Could you try to import it on Electrum and follow what's quoted below:

You can import via seed on electrum, Please refer to this thread: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/restoring-your-standard-wallet-from-seed/
Just don't forget to tap Options --> BIP39 Seed when electrum prompts you to enter your seed. Just to clarify you have a 12-word seed in you right?

2747  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 24, 2018, 01:51:28 PM
Yes. I`m using the new interface as you show in the image

If you're using the new interface can you go to Settings --> Security --> Wallet Recovery Phrase --> Backup Phrase and tell me how many words you're seeing? Is it still 20+ words? If so, Could you try what's on the below quote (Not sure if it will work)

if you don't have the backup or unable to find it, try this thing below.

2748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Literal crypto and the one that only in the computer? on: January 24, 2018, 04:06:32 AM
Guys I don't know if this is the right section for my question but hoping for some info.
Does the price of literal crypto is different than the other one that only in the computer?

Literal Crypto? You mean Physical bitcoins for example? *Like this

Have a look at bitcoin's list of exchanges and you'll see that for each exchange there is a different price and that is because each exchange has a different market (buys and sells/supply and demand etc..). So in short, it doesn't matter where you store your coins the market does.
2749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SUPPORT 2FA GATEHUB on: January 24, 2018, 03:02:39 AM
Have you tried syncing the app?

Go to Settings --> Time correction for codes --> Sync now

If it doesn't work, your only hope is to have them respond to your ticket. I'm not sure but they're probably having a problem, I tried to reset my password just now and It keeps giving me "Network Error" even though my connection is completely fine (I tested it)

I don't know WHEN they will respond but it will probably take longer. Read some threads on reddit  Cry

If he has wallet.aes.json then he could try decrypting it with blockchain tool? (https://github.com/blockchain/my-wallet-backup-decryption-tool)

That's also another method, Op can try it if the above method didn't work  Cheesy

if you don't have the backup or unable to find it, try this thing below.
https://blockchain.info/wallet/ {Your ID } ?format=json

Haven't heard of this. @OP in case you have your .aes.json file/s, could you do this regardless? since this could be useful
2751  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poll: Do you think a new plastic card issuer will be found after wavecrest off? on: January 23, 2018, 08:02:05 PM
Of course  Wink. The moment VISA banned users from outside EU, Wirex already announced that they will be looking for a new card issuer.

To follow, According to their recent article about the recent halting of service regardless of which country you live in, It is stated that they will be launching soon, not sure about the Q1 tho  Huh

We are moving forward with a new card issuer, and are very close to being able to release our new cards. We expect to deliver this in Q1.

They'll be also releasing new cards which are the travel card and contactless one which is I can't imagine to just be a virtual card so my guess is plastic cards will still be there in the future but I'm not 100% sure, so keep up with their announcements.
2752  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 7.8 BTC lost due to an error in blockchain.info on: January 23, 2018, 07:43:56 PM

Do you have your .aes.json file/s? If not, could you check your email account?

Maybe importing on multibit Classic v0.5.17 or below could work *https://multibit.org/release-info/classic/v0.5.17.html
2753  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining with workstation dell precision 690 on: January 23, 2018, 07:25:14 PM
Pretty sure you won't get anywhere as you need a powerful GPU in mining altcoins, forget bitcoin as GPU's no longer generate enough profits on that, you'll need ASIC's.
Also, if you're thinking of mining with a only one GPU, drop it as it's just a waste of time.

If you're interested in mining, you might wanna do a simple google search about them.
2754  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to Claim BTG from Blockchain.info ? on: January 23, 2018, 04:06:22 PM
A Beginner’s Guide to Claiming Your Bitcoin Gold (and Selling It)

Here’s what you can do with your BTG now that the blockchain is alive and well.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/beginners-guide-claiming-your-bitcoin-gold-and-selling-it/

Did block chain supported the gold fork because I had not received any mail form them stating that they supported it and the one can withdraw the gold now. Generally as far as I know they do send a mail and also checking the site I did not found any option or anywhere name of Gold. So how do you know they supported it or not?

If you can't see it on the left tab it means it's not supported. Now if you wanna know if they will support it or not in the future, Keep up with their announcements using SNS e.g. facebook, twitter. If the coin is finally integrated on their site, yes you will receive a mail (make sure you're not clicking on a phishing one)  although I'm not sure if you'll receive one before but most probably not.

IMO unless bitcoin gold gain a significant demand from users, blockchain.info probably won't support it.
2755  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 23, 2018, 12:37:51 PM
Well, the tool was very good but the file gave me only one address/priv key and my main address is not there.

So is there a way to export aes.json file for the current account where it has all the address and priv keys in it? I couldn`t find that option existed in the current blockchain account

Got a few questions

Do you recognize the address that was generated? Is it yours?

Are you using the new interface or not? Example

Quote from: BTC Turkiye
I just tried Classic, HD and Also a standalone exe file. But None of the give me the option to import a aes.json file. The only place they have to upload a file for priv key, accepts only .key file of multibit wallet.

Go to Tools --> Import Private keys and the tab with the same name will show up. After that tap the "Import from" and tap the drop down menu like what the below picture says:

You should be using v0.5.17 or below
2756  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying BTC in the UK on: January 23, 2018, 10:12:04 AM
In that case I would recommend Bittylicious since they're also UK based. See here how simple it is to buy: https://steemit.com/steemsilvergold/@silverstackeruk/adding-bitcoin-to-exodus-wallet-using-bittylicious-picture-post-step-by-step-181

But since you've said "cryptocurrencies", It'll be better if you can post here which coins you are interested in specifically, because only a few number of coins are supported in bittylicious
2757  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cannot order Payeer plastic card on: January 22, 2018, 07:48:12 PM
I found this on my Inbox in my payeer account. Which country are you in?

Code:
DATE	                         NEWS LIST
11 Jan 2018 14:03            Attention,

The notice of the bank that issues PAYEER cards for us about blocking cards issued not for residents of the European Union came into effect today, bank
has blocked cards, within 1-2 days a special form will appear in your personal cabinet, which must be filled and signed in order to Return money from
our card to the balance of your PAYEER account.

In the near future we will return the possibility to order cards for residents of countries not part of the European Union through another partner bank.

I'm seeing that payeer's card issuer is also wavecrest because recently, visa instructed them to halt all cryptocurrency debit cards. I haven't heard from mastercard but I'm sure they're having some problems with it which is probably the reason why plastics can't be ordered.

The card is issued by Wave Crest Holdings Limited, pursuant to a license from MasterCard International

At first visa only halted cards of the NON-EU users until it eventually come to this point hmmmm...
2758  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Privacy Problem] Antminer Distribution EU on: January 22, 2018, 05:58:44 PM
Hello ,

Can i find out who owns the bitcoin address 19LeBskvakvR8QbNURQpxwdbrYgyVE1DgG ?

This is the address i received for the payment, maybe i can se who it belongs to

Does anybody know how i can find out?

Thank you

That will be very hard since bitcoin is pseudonymous

I've been trying to report all the phishing sites I encountered including this but there's really no significant outcome.

Sorry for your loss. Next time, If you're not sure either ask here or ask google.
2759  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Okex Withdrawal address illegal on: January 22, 2018, 04:16:45 PM
Are you sure that the address is correct? Have you tried withdrawing from a different address?.

Anyways if the problem still persists, you have to coordinate with their support team.

Bad news

Even the 64 bit windows version just refreshes the page and doesn`t give any error upon uploading the file and entring my main password (I think the wallet/blockchain password)

Multibit doesn`t give an option in the tools page for importing private keys as people say it does. It only give an option to recover a wallet by recovery words of 12.

I`m sorry but do you have Any other solutions?

Which version did you use? Try using the classic: https://multibit.org/release-info/classic/v0.5.17.html

And did you try this conversion tool: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=610555.0
