3021  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain problem on: December 07, 2017, 10:54:51 AM
No your bitcoin's aren't blocked, you just can't sell it directly because apparently they're experiencing some problem. Your bitcoins should still be transferable to other wallets.

There are a lot of exchanges/platforms actually where you can buy and sell bitcoin such as these

We also have our Currency Exchange section here. You can make a thread there stating what you need e.g. Buy bitcoins through N . If you're not dealing with a trusted member, you should ask for an escrow as scammers are everywhere.

First of all, u dont have wallet on blockchain its impossible, u have wallet on website called blockchain.info.
Never keep ur funds on exchange/online wallet. Its worst way possible.

This is true. You should look for a better wallet particularly if you're into HODLING.

Hardware wallets are the best choice in this and it only costs less than $100. If you're not into spending there is Electrum (Lightweight Desktop wallet), Bitcoin Core (Full Node) or Mycelium (Android Wallet)
3022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we possibly settle whether AsicWorld is legit or not? on: December 07, 2017, 09:20:52 AM
The site reeks of fraud imo. Better to stay away from them. The only legit sites I know are bitmain.com and https://www.antminerdistribution.com

Here's what I've found

  • Your connection is not even secured so all information you enter can easily leak.
  • It's suspicious that their S9 is in stock because as far as I know its out of stock right now
  • They have fake reviews on their site. The site was registered on 2017-10-26 but someone made a review at 20/10/2017
  • Unknown - No reviews are found if you did a simple google search about them
  • Only offeres irreversible and pseudonymous payment methods (Bitcoin/Altcoin)
3023  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain - Account emptied overnight? on: December 07, 2017, 06:38:05 AM
It's the classic compromised wallet which is very common in web wallets. What happened most likely is for some reason (Phishing links, Keyloggers, malwares, someone you know peeking at your seed etc.) the hacker must've got a hold of your credentials and transferred the funds in his wallet.

Unfortunately, Since bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous and irreversible once confirmed, there's nothing else you you can do. Lesson learned is to use a much safer wallet. I suggest spending a small amount of money to buy a hardware wallet e.g. ledger, trezor.  If not there's electrum (SPV - desktop) or mycelium (Android). But please note that most of the time you will be the one protecting your coins since your wallet can't protect it for example if someone did get a hold of your credentials e.g. seed, private keys, PIN etc.. A simple google search should help you with that.
3024  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 2 txs from Blockchain.info stuck for weeks due to low fee on: December 07, 2017, 05:48:06 AM
Hey guys, I wasn't around BTC for a long time and today I used blockchain for a transaction and when I choose their regular fee it was obviously too small and it got stuck Sad . If anyone can help, please do so.

tx id : https://blockchain.info/tx/b20b14ffd85e0dd8a1b18685991709618846dfca91b6ac9d33dd94a8081ef3d1

The included fee is not that low. It would have confirmed after a few hours if the mempool is not overloaded. Most probably its because bitcoin is pumping greatly.
I wouldn't trust blockchain.info's fee estimation as it is known for making stuck transactions if I were you. Better use guides such as these: https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx l https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Anyways, I quequed your transaction in Viabtc as well as on Antpool. It should received confirmations after a few hours or so

EDIT: It's now included in block 498042 by viabtc
3025  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet access issue on: December 07, 2017, 04:52:39 AM
I got similar situation, my main BTC address on blockchain.info is now watch only address but I need to get private key from address on blockchain.info to try getting BTG from that address?
By main  address I mean that was my address for long time and before and after BTG fork come where I was keeping few BTC. I don't know why I changed that before I took private key from there and now I can't get private key for that watching address or I'm doing something wrong?
Now, when I import that address in coinomi wallet I can see all my transfers but I can't manage to get BTG from that in Coinomi wallet. Is there some other way to get BTG from that address now?

Thank you in advance

Sorry please correct me if I'm wrong, but what do you mean by you changed it before you took the private key? Do you mean you deleted it in your imported addresses on blockchain.info before backing up its private key and now you imported it but it now becomes a watch address. If so, Most probably you did not imported a private key but a public key.

Do you still have an accesss from the wallet that it came from? Backups?

To claim your BTG you need your private keys, Since its a watch address you can't get it. After you get your private keys, Follow these steps:
https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000016909-i-didn-t-have-btc-in-coinomi-at-the-time-of-the-snapshot-how-do-i-claim-btg-

When I was creating blockchain.info account  2013' or 2014' I write down all I can on paper and .txt file for backup, with pass phrase and private keys. Now with pass phrase I can acces to my wallet and I got all info on coinomi about my earlier transfers and in time when fork happen coins were there. but when I create BTG wallet explained on their web site my balance is 0, dunno why.
I can give you address so you can look also, ballance there is 0 now but you can see history in fork time

As i know by that date, blockchain.info still uses their old version of wallet. They switched to a new version now which uses a 12 word seed. So how many words does your seed have?. Are you really sure you can access it? Meaning to say, you can spend your coins not just viewing your transaction history?

And yes paste your address here.
This was my address I used for long time  1349phVGx8ZHhXwbM8Q7iu3NLwcddFcaX1
this was my last adress with coins at fork time 1AsBHKGWVHVvnmjEaPmd51MPqYZSHztj5d which is now watch only...
I got 12 word pass phrase I think for this 1AsBH... address  1249ph... is my oldest btc address from year 2013 when I started mining etc
will this help?

The snapshot took place on block 491406 so if you have bitcoins at the time of the fork, you will have your BTG's. Now, If you look at Address 1AsBHKGWVHVvnmjEaPmd51MPqYZSHztj5d, The first transaction it received was included in block 496234 which was after the snapshot. Meaning to say there is no BTG in this address as well as bitcoins so you can ignore this address.

Address 1349phVGx8ZHhXwbM8Q7iu3NLwcddFcaX1 has too many transactios so I don't have time to examine all of them obviously. But I checked it on block explorers, It has a balance of 5.34429604 BTG. You can check it here: https://btgexplorer.com/address/GKu5EppDvzAan1EtH54E9fPGG7QUhQ49eZ. Bitcoin Gold has its own address format which is why if you enter your BTC address in other BTG block explorer's, They will find no result. It's fine in https://btgexplorer.com as it also displays the address BTC format.

So Address 1349phVGx8ZHhXwbM8Q7iu3NLwcddFcaX1 belongs to blockchain.info right? Is it an imported address or not? or is it an address included in your HD wallet in blockchain.info (Included in your Seed)

I am havng a similar issue, when i login it displays Welcome to your blockchain account and when i click on the Continue button, the page logs out and redirects to blockchain homepage, This is quite strange as my other blockchain accounts are working fine. I have the 17 word passphrase, Its there anyway i can still access the wallet?

Sorry man, Can't help much with the 17 word passphrase. Try reading this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1989044.0. He had a similar problem as yours but this requires you to have your .aes.json files.
3026  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has NIcehash been hacked? on: December 06, 2017, 08:10:01 PM
It's a pure speculation and nothing is concrete so far. I don't get why some people are making a big deal out of this when a lot of popular sites has been experiencing downtimes recently. Most probably to create another FUD again. Give it some time i suggest.

Here are some of them from what I remember. Check the dates!!!

3028  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet being smart again... on: December 06, 2017, 05:19:19 PM
First you have to unarchive it. There should be a button for that there.

To clarify is address "1DT2ttQ7kxBiPZngRyXcwodKjZ8Q6oxCgG" an imported address or a part of your HD wallet in blockchain.info?

If its part of your HD wallet in blockchain.info you can use your seed for the following:

I've successfully run an electrum wallet in the same system (Win7 - 32bit) before but I can't remember which version is it. I suggest running a standalone executable first and try the previous versions if it doesn't work. Import your wallet using your backup phrase in electrum. Just be sure to tick the BIP 39 Box in Options when electrum prompts you to enter your seed. After that you can sign a message.

You can also use mycelium which is a android/ios wallet or any wallet that supports importing. Here's a tutorial for that: http://bl4nkcode.info/bitcoin/how_to_export_blockchain_wallet_private_key

If its an imported address, After you unarchive it you'll find your address in the Imported Addresses tab. Click the More Options --> Private Key.
And you can now import it to electrum (desktop), mycelium (Android), coinomi (Android) etc.
3029  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to send a transaction to multiple addresses? on: December 06, 2017, 03:06:42 PM
How can I send my coins to multiple btc addresses in one transaction? Like is is usually done with campaign payouts. It seems like it is possible to paste more than 1 address to the address field but I still have only one field with the amount of coins I'm sending.

You have to go to Tools and select Pay to Many for that. After that the Pay To Field should be larger. Please read the text box that will pop-up

P.S. In such transactions I'm paying only 1 fee for all the inputs, right?

Yes since it'll be a single transaction
3030  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin stuck on: December 06, 2017, 01:59:56 PM
thanks to all for the help so far, is there anyway i can just make the network forget it, so it will bounce back to my wallet?

First of all, wait a little longer, I accelerated your tx at confirmtx.com

If this doesn't work, you will have to search how you make your wallet stop re-broadcastin (and forget) that tx. There was this question not long ago.
The network will also forget it in a couple of days. If you don't broadcast it again..

Confirmtx most probably won't work. They seemed legit at first but they're gradually showing their true colors. They received a lot of complaints recently from people who have used their free and paid services saying that it won't work. The most plausible explanation for this is because they're only re-submitting the TXID's on another transaction accelerator which is free. Try reading their ANN thread here and searching for some reviews on google. I feel sorry for those who paid for this.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if this also applies in blockchain.info but most wallets will stop rebroadcasting your unconfirmed transaction as long as you keep it closed.

@OP yes, Once it's been dropped by most nodes, it'll be like the transaction didn't ever happened so the coins should return to your wallet.
3031  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex stealing my coins on: December 06, 2017, 12:26:52 PM
I’ve been locked out of my poloniex account for months and I’ve sent several support tickets. They’re ignoring me now when I send support tickets. Is there any options I have outside of poloniex that will force them to give me my coins.

Lol there's no such option unless you hack their system. Only poloniex can help you regarding your problem. As I know, Exchanges like poloniex and bittrex really hates several entries of support tickets particularly if it says the same thing again and again. Support tickets should be concise, easy to understand and no unnecessary parts that tends to make your ticket a long essay, And of course it should be followed by proofs e.g. screenshots, TXID (If any).

Did they ever reply to you? If its okay with you can you share us your conversation? Just don't forget to censor the sensitive parts of course. If not just answer this:

Did they tell you why you're account is locked? In most cases its because of suspicious activity furthermore it's mostly occuring in users who transacted with large amounts of money. Did they asked you to do to something like to verify your account?

Man, you are a newbie that's why I'm not buying what you are saying. I've been using Poloniex with as much as 2,000 USD in my portfolio and until now they haven't stole anything from me. One more thing, why the hell did you get your account locked out?

So you're implying that your experience should be everyone's experience? How is that possible when everyone has a different account tiers, amount of money they are transacting with and trading as well as login activity?.

I understand that everyone is very wary of newbies but don't generalize them. There are still newbies who created an account here for the sole purpose of seeking help. It's one of the purpose of this forum I think. Please don't tell me that we have to be a legendary member for that.
3032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitblender support on: December 06, 2017, 09:44:39 AM
Thanks guys. . .
I am certain I am on the real bitblender site. I have been using them for a while now, have no complaints just wanted to be sure their support actually works, or if there were alternative means of reaching them.

They should be responsive on support, just wait a bit man. No need to start panicking if you've used them multiple times before and everything went smoothly. Plus, it's only been a few hours lol. They may be sleeping or whatever.

What's the problem anyways?

If you don't get a response just PM their forum account, though it's been last active 1 month ago so not sure if you can get a response instantly.

Yes bitblender is not that active here but I've seen a lot of similar threads where bitblender respond after Lutpin asked them to. If you want to get a response from their account here asap. It'll be faster to just contact Lutpin who manages their signature campaign here and has a direct contact to them. He's practically here everyday. You can ask him to have bitblender respond here

3034  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info not sending 2FA emails, locked out of wallet - recovery? on: December 06, 2017, 07:41:33 AM
Sorry I'm making this a monologue... I *was* able to log in to the wallet using the app.  I had to log in with the wallet ID & password after clicking that I didn't have access to my camera.  All my coin is safe.  Well... the ETH & BTC is anyway, the app doesn't support BCH, which is still going to be held hostage until I can log in via the desktop.

Thanks to stupid Blockchain 'support' I had 2FA turned off for the first time EVER for several hrs today & TOR addresses were enabled.  I'm lucky I didn't get robbed.  (Note that 2FA was 'turned off' for I suppose anyone but me, trying to use my registered email address!)

THANK YOU to everyone in this community for spreading the gospel of smarter wallets.  A lot of us really are reading & heeding.

That's why this should be a lesson to stop using web wallets. I assume that you're planning to move your funds now to a much more safer wallet.
If thats the case I recommend electrum. It's a lightweight desktop wallet.

When moving to a different wallet, It's more safer to sweep than to import it. Here's why: https://99bitcoins.com/know-more-private-key-import-vs-sweep-difference/

This should be helpful so here you go: a tl;dr of wallet types:

--Snip--
Safest:
  • hardware wallet: both reasonably cheap and easy to use
  • airgapped pc: expensive and a little bit harder to use (you always have to transfer unsigned/signed transactions between an online and offline machine)
  • Paper wallet: very cheap and very secure if generated in the correct way, but hard to use (you have to sweep and discard the paper wallet each time you use it, then transfer the remaining value to a new paper wallet)

Medium:
  • Desktop wallet: free, but you need a clean PC and you NEED to encrypt your wallet (using a strong passphrase). Virusscanners/firewall are a must have

Unsafe-ish:
  • Android/Ios wallets: I call these ones unsafe because it's harder to verify the wallet's signatures, many people know less about their phone's OS than they know about their desktop's OS, and phones can easily get stolen/lost

Unsafe:
  • Any wallet where you're not the (only) one in controll of your private keys. This includes exchanges and online wallets

Regarding on claiming your BCH, You don't have to wait for blockchain.info to fix their shits. You can use Electron Cash which is a forked version of electrum to claim it.

Create a new wallet --> Standard Wallet --> I already have a seed --> Enter your seed/Backup phrase --> Options --> Tick the BIP39 Box

Please be careful on phishing links and take time to verify the files.
3035  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info wallet access issue on: December 06, 2017, 06:56:48 AM
When I log into my blockchain.info wallet I can see a balance of BTC. I was successfully able to claim BCH in September so assume all the addresses are ok. However I recently logged into extract the private keys to claim BTG I got the following message, "Imported Bitcoin Addresses Not backed up by your Recovery Phrase. Transfer into a wallet to secure funds." Upon reading this message I attempted the transfer the funds as instructed, where I received a second message advising "You have no addresses with a spendable balance greater than or equal to the required dust threshold."

It means you have a very low amount of satoshi's in your wallet and blockchain.info is preventing you from spending these dust output/s. A little info regarding this: https://www.quora.com/What-is-Bitcoin-dust. But the transfer your funds advice is not necessary to access your private keys, It's just a safety precaution from blockchain.info  because imported address/es are not included in your backup phrase/Seed. Meaning to say when you import you wallet using those seed/backup phrase, your imported address/es won't be included so you have to make a backup for them separately.

This obviously concerned me but I continued on to the addresses section of the wallet to extract my private keys to which I can't find any. So my wallet is showing the balance I thought I had when I logged in but the wallet is telling me the addresses do not hold any funds and I can't extract the private keys. I am confused as to what has happened here, if anyone can assist it would be much appreciated.

Since its an imported address, it should be on the Imported Addresses tab if not have you looked into the Archive Tab?

What about your backup for your imported address/es? You don't have it?
3036  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I want to order a Miner from Bitmain but don't trust them. on: December 05, 2017, 07:13:31 PM
Bitmain is legit and thousands of people have already purchased from them unless you've used a phishing site which is very popular right now. Every week there will be someone here who will ask if this X site is legit and so on. But as the above users have mentioned, A pleasant transaction might not be guaranteed. Currently a lot of users has been complaining regarding their support and shipping as well as other things.

As an alternative you can try www.antminerdistribution.com. I've never used it by there's a lot of positive feedback about them. You can try doing a simple google search for that as well as visiting their facebook page which can be found on their site. Apparently facebook tagged them as "Typically replies within a day" which is decent imo. Reversible payment methods are also present so you're technically safe.

As far as I know s9 is currently out of stock so you might wanna subscribe on their newsletters for that.

Ok guys i can explain, i was doing a BCC transfer from my coin payment account to freewallet BCC account. However i was too quick to select my BTC address by mistake as thats what i normally use. Since Freewallet supports multi-currency, i got it mixed up. I contacted coinpayment support immediately, they said i could retrieved it back with my private keys. After that i realised that FREEWALLET holds out private keys. Since its stuck in my BTC blockchain, i can always get it back using my freewallet BTC private keys. The support had done nothing about it besides asking for more time. No updates, no status. I've attached their replies which you can see that they felt like copy and paste replies.

I really have no idea how long will the extraction process be, but i really think that i've waited long enough. Whoever is reading this, i really need help.

It still doesn't change the fact that you're at fault here. Next time if you don't know what you're jumping to, it wouldn't hurt to do a simple google search.

Try following it up on their social media sites which can be found on the bottom of their site. Bl4nkcode already contacted a user here that's affiliated with freewallet. Unfortunately, Only free wallet can help you in this. Well if more and more users submitted inquiries the amount of workload to be done will increase resulting in a slow response so this might be the reason why they're dragging this.

P.S. I quoted your image for other users to easily see
3039  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex : Name Mismatch on: December 05, 2017, 03:02:45 PM
Did you write your name wrong or when you were to open account did you write your name wrong on purpose so that it remained anonymous?

many people do not register with their real names, but when the time comes to deliver documents they get into trouble, it will be difficult for them to believe that you wrote their name wrong once you could have realized this and you could have created another account with Your real name

What if the name would be Donald Duck? Something that they couldn't take seriously to be somebody's real name. I just tested what was that 'basic verification' thing all about (with a cartoon name) and then of course the basic verification failed and am not able to do it again. Does this mean I've lost several bitcoins?

Informations asked on basic verification are verified through bittrex pubic record's provider and not all people's personal information are there. That's the main reason why most basic verifications fails which is why if it happens to you, you will be redirected to enhanced verification. But in your case, since you put a fake name obviously it will fail. On the other hand, If a person really has that kind of name, it wouldn't be a problem as long as you can verify it by documents of course.

It depends on you. If you want an access to your coins, you will have to go through enhanced verification although with bittrex current situation there's no guarantee because there's a lot of people who are enhanced but still get 0BTC withdrawal limit. But you have no choice anyway unless you want to donate your coins.

I tried to use this accelerator but it said your transaction fee was too low:
https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Only transactions with minimum of 0.0001BTC/KB (10 sat/byte) included fee are eligible in viabtc. Sadly Op's transaction didn't meet that as it's just 5 sat/byte

yes sadly this is not the first time, last time he recommended me to use 80$ !!! fee for 500$ transactions, i manually did 5$ and it got confirmed in 2 hours...

this blockchain fee is broken for sure.

how long shall it take for it to bounce to my wallet?

Miner fees are determined through the size of the transaction and the current network condition so the total amount you're sending has nothing to do with it. Most probably its because the network is stabilized and not overloaded with unconfirmed transactions.

And yes, Never trust blockchain.info's fee estimation as it is too far from accurate. Next time use these guides: bitcoinfees.earn.com l btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx

The network is getting busy and busier and if this continues it might get stuck for days.

I'm not sure if they are still doing this but it wouldn't hurt to try

Ask a miner for help

Some mining pools and miners offer services to allow you to prioritize your transaction in their mempool so that it is chosen sooner for inclusion in a block. You can contact the users Quickseller and macbook-air. These two users have access to F2Pool's transaction selector and they can help you with confirming your stuck transaction.

The chances are slim but I tried quequeing your transaction on Antpool
