2521  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we pass on our digital assets to our family members? on: April 11, 2018, 10:58:08 PM
When you die, your family will either keep or throw your things but the most important part is they will definitely look into it.

So maybe... you can just buy/make a notebook stating that your cryptocurrencies will go to the following person/s (with instructions included), but the problem is they might not view it's content so better buy a small vault that uses keys since it will give them the idea that everything in there is "important"

Lastly, I'm sure you know that these coins are volatile so better not rely on them too much cause the situation after a long time maybe not be great  Cry
2522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: increasing scam projects. on: April 11, 2018, 10:13:59 PM
Scams will continue to exist as long as someone is falling for it. Unfortunately, they are getting smarter while the investors are getting dumber-- or should I say lazy??.
If you're a scammer, you will choose a medium where there's a higher success rate. If you're talking about ICO's yes they are without a doubt a good method for a fraud as from what I've observe, people do tend to just ride the hype train rather than to dig and analyze data.

Oh and I forgot cloud minings LOL. Majority of them are scams
2523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Rate and Comment coin to Earn Btc on: March 31, 2018, 06:55:10 AM
It's not about quality only, you posted something about any coin  i read that  and it earned me 100x, then that post is helpful, that post is quality for me, I don't know what do you mean by high-quality post,

In general it means constructive/contributes to the conversation/has sense

Quote from: ziyush
but  there are many posts that need to be merited but no one does, but if anyone says, if you like it merits us then its consider as begging, because without mentioning this no one care also,

When situations like that occurs, you should be striving to improve your post not attaching a reminder to "merit me if this helped you" (or something similar) in your post.

Quote from: ziyush
in fact, many people dont know how merit work and how to give.

Sorry but I'm not buying that.

There's a noticeable amount of the word "merit" here which should lead them to research/ask about it.
If they're blind and they didn't notice it, they eventually will once they realized they're not ranking up
The last scenario is they don't care about it.

Quote from: ziyush
its like pay me if you like our service  do you consider this begging
Pay us if our product worked for you is that begging.
Many services ask for feedback after giving you service its like, " please rate us what u think about our service"  that is not begging
Merit us if you like our post

You don't really have to explicitly say it for it to count as begging as there are many ways to do it (implicit/explicit).

Quote from: ziyush
You need to learn the difference between begging and requesting, You have either posted this with a motive to insult that guy or someone in past have done same thing with you and you are following the same path.

LOL. Where did you get that?

Quote from: ziyush
And this category is for  Service Discussion, and I merit him for the service he is providing. i hope you will not mind this and understand what i mean to say.i can't change your mind i can only explain the difference and for me it's not begging.

They way you are defending op + emphasizing that you merited him for a good reason is hmmmm.....  Lips sealed

This has become a little off-topic, If you want to discuss this further, you can go open a thread on Meta
2524  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO now completely mobile, locking me out of my account! on: March 31, 2018, 12:56:16 AM

Forgive me, I discarded xapo a long time ago lol. (If I'll be born again, I'm pretty sure I'll do the same thing)

Anyway, You must be talking about this? https://support.xapo.com/how-do-i-log-into-my-xapo-account/view=faq
It is stated there that the verification code is automatic but not on ios which means you have to enter it manually there. That said, maybe it's possible to access your account by:

1. Hire someone to just receive the code (the SMS) - From what I remember, it cost $3-$5
2. Install an ios emulator = https://techonation.com/best-ios-emulators-for-windows-run-ios-apps/
3. Have X send the code to you via telegram or other chat platform.....
4. Enter the code manually.
2525  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: XAPO now completely mobile, locking me out of my account! on: March 30, 2018, 11:47:58 PM
What do you mean by completely mobile? You can't access your account via web browser?

Or is it they locked your account and now they want you to only access using their app? If so, What is the need of a phone number? Is it for verification like they'll send a code and you'll enter it? If it is, you can hire someone for that (here on forum). Furthermore, Are you sure they're not asking for a past phone number (If you had any)?

For the app access, you can just use an android emulator
2526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What sites gives latest Bounty Campaigns? on: March 30, 2018, 11:02:33 PM
I'm not sure If I got it right but basically, you want to be updated of the campaigns ahead of time? If so, That will be impossible unless someone is giving off tips/side info's

or you want something that notifies you everytime a new campaign comes out. Hmmm....If it is refer below:

There's a site where bounties are listed although I can't guarantee that they listing all of them at the same time (or near it) it is posted here.
If you'd like to check, here's the link: https://icobountyhunt.com

My advice to you is to bookmark the managers last post page and just check it regularly (Note that this requires you to spend a lot of time here)

2527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is telegram "cloud mining bot" Scam?? on: March 30, 2018, 05:40:17 PM
First time hearing this type of scheme and It' sketchy as it sounds, most likely a scam like 99.9%

But anyway, Can you provide some screenshots or link the bot here, I'd like to list some +/- but there's no enough info.

There's a new campaign although it is moderated by -neg trusted member, not sure if this needs to be added
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3207467.0

Closed

Bitwhisk decided to close this campaign so they will create a new campaign you guys can enroll there, Those users who got selected will get some $$ for bearing the signature.
You can remove the signatures thanks.

But now that you mentioned it, is sportsbet.io affiliated with World League? cause sportsbet.io is negged.

Yobit and betcoin.ag(had a campaign in the past) are both negged and from what I remember they have red (*) asterisk on their campaign here, is that because they were red painted or there really is a problem on their camp.?
2529  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Rate and Comment coin to Earn Btc on: March 30, 2018, 04:39:04 PM

The thing is, users don't have to say "If you like this, merits are welcomed" or something similar which is why if they do, it counts as "begging" at least indirectly.

Quote from: ziyush
i gave 2 MERITS points and why I gave because I like the project, when I was a newbie in crypto there is no way to detect or find coins details like this where people can rate separately and this is why i gave merit , i also don't see any reply where they have begged or asked for merit points , i dont know why you mentioned this , its simple if you like the project or content or anything is helpful in post  then you merit that post.

I'm not really asking for a reason though. Merits are intended for post of high quality but then again it is still subjective which is why you could still use it for posts you like as long as the content is not garbage and op's service? is not.
I mentioned this for the reason above^
2530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ecoinexchanger.com Legit or not ? Scam or not ? Reviews ? Feedback ? on: March 30, 2018, 03:49:01 PM
the thing is, the website doesn't look really professional.

The look and feel is certainly not an eye candy but it's decent IMO. The only thing that is gibberish is their logo, not sure why they didn't change that.

Yes you can determine a site's legitimacy based on the site's look and feel but it's not enough as other factors should come into play such as reviews, whoisdata, payment options etc..

Honestly, this site is still new (registered on 2017-06-24) which is why it's understandable why there's such a few reviews, not to mention it's from those site's where you can easily fake it.

But as mentioned above, you can somewhat trust it's payment options

At the moment we are dealing in Perfect Money, WebMoney, Payza, PayPal, Bitcoin, Skrill and Payoneer Only.

So all in all, If I were to place my trust on this, it would only be 50-50. Better to wait until it becomes reputable enough, you can still use the other sites.
2531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [[Important]] Newbie and beginner look here please... on: March 30, 2018, 04:17:11 AM
Yes, you are right. But as a bounty hunter i have to give my email in different bounty campaign.

There are certainly situations where you can't help but to display it publicly  Cry which is why it's better to organize your emails. In short make a separate email account per purpose e.g. ABC account for personal use, BCD account for 50/50 situations where you feel you'll be spammed etc...

P.S. If my memory serves me right, I have 6 email accounts lol.
2532  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Rate and Comment coin to Earn Btc on: March 30, 2018, 03:48:05 AM
We need merit to promote website by placing link in footer for this We need 60 activity and 10 merits.

We will pay user directly into there wallet.

For obvious reasons, begging/buying/selling merits is not allowed here in the forum so you better delete and stop this unless you want to receive a negative trust which should also affect your site's image here.

Also, There's an optional paid rank which is called Copper Membership, But I'm not sure if the link restriction in signature will also be lifted as they do said that signature styling will have a reduced limits so you might wanna ask them about it first.

- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions.

If it's about promotion, there are more effective ways on doing it:

  • Make an ANN thread (This is the basic)
  • Run a signature campaign - You can hire as many and as few as you want
  • Run a social media campaign

You can hire someone to make you an ANN thread from this list: Overview of Bitcointalk Designers
You can find an example of a signature campaign here: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns
Social media campaign is similar, the main difference is you are promoting in social media's e.g. facebook, twitter etc..
2533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am getting a hardware wallet ! - How do check if its been tampered with? on: March 30, 2018, 01:17:31 AM
Ledger uses attestation to prove a wallet's authenticity so if the device is tampered, you won't be able to use it as it won't be recognized.
Read this article for give to give you more depth about this topic: https://www.ledger.fr/2015/03/27/how-to-protect-hardware-wallets-against-tampering/

2534  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange: which one to choose to start trading? on: March 29, 2018, 09:13:52 PM
I would also agree that binance is by far the most decent exchange but please note, that they have a minimum withdrawal amount + transaction fee so if you are really trading with such amount, it is most likely that you won't reach those quota unless the coin(s) you bought pumped hard.

List of binance fee's: https://www.binance.com/fees.html
2535  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin "missing" from my Ledger Nano S Wallet on: March 29, 2018, 08:52:50 PM
Yeah better confirm first if the wallet really does have funds on it. The easiest way is to paste your address in any block explorer:

Guys can you remember that did you created your myethwallet with Email?Huh If not how did they have your email???

I didn't received this kind of email though. Anyway, If you are publicly displaying your email address on some social media platform or you are subscribing to a bunch of unknown email subscription, then you are most likely to receive spam emails.

I suggest reading some of the articles here:

https://www.google.com/search?q=how+do+spammers+get+email+addresses
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+prevent+spam+emails

Essentially, you should be fine as long as you don't click any unknown/suspicious emails.
2537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Telegram bounty issue on: March 28, 2018, 01:42:36 PM
Sir i wasnot sharing anything, but before when i got banned, i could see the date ,when will it over, but this time i coudnt

If this happened to you for the first time (and you are not an industrial scale spammer), most likely your account will be limited for a few days or so. Please wait and consider that people want a peaceful time using our messenger.

Repeated offences will result in longer periods of being blocked. If you keep writing unwanted messages to strangers, you may lose the ability to do so forever.

According from their FAQ, they could limit a user permanently but since it doesn't state the number of offences for that, I'm not really sure if your case is permanent so you might want to contact their support for that.

Try as many as possible: https://telegram.org/faq#telegram-support
2538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Telegram bounty issue on: March 28, 2018, 12:54:53 AM
Someone must have reported your messages. Maybe you're sharing too much referral links or something?

Anyway, From what I know it is just temporary and after XX days, your account will go back to normal.

EDIT:

It seems I was right. Read this: https://telegram.org/faq_spam#q-what-happened-to-my-account
2539  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I tell if a cloud mining business is not a scam? on: March 27, 2018, 10:25:21 PM
This should do...

  • Promises the following: overly high returns; No risk; (Too good to be true in other words)
  • No/poor reviews; Newly-created; Anonymous (A simple whois lookup will do: https://www.whois.com/)
  • No maintenance fee
  • Has the following on their site: a. false information b. copy/pasted info c. poor grammar

Still, The best way is to completely ignore every cloud minings  Wink. They're not even profitable anymore so why bother? Instead of buying contracts, it'll be more worth it to hodl a few promising coins.

the difficult part is how I can prove the cash I used was obtained legitimately,if I also took money
from friends to buy BTC with cash?

I have access to my electrum wallet and to the transactions I did years ago
but no papers about cash withdraws and my friends investments...

This is what's hard on personal loans, it's typically not documented  Cry

I'm not sure about this but maybe both parties could still make a loan agreement even if the loan's already over, is it though?.
Anyway, you can try asking bitfinex regarding that matter, explain that it's a personal loan etc.. ask them if it's still okay to make the agreement?
And yeah don't forget to also ask if you could DIY that or is it still needed to consult a lawyer.
