341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was fooled by Ether Classic on: November 28, 2020, 07:29:19 AM
If a team is of double standard, that is, saying one thing and doing another then it will be hard for them to be trusted as well as reducing their reputation in the crypto space. I do not have anything to do with Ether Classic neither do I know much, but I think at this juncture it would be wise for you to let go unless you have a passion for the coin, then you can go back and continue. Also, it would be wise as well to check from the team directly to be sure it is coming from them, this will go a long way in helping you know what to do.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: have you Invested DEFI liquidity pools ?? on: November 27, 2020, 08:40:50 AM
Everyone gets into Defi projects for different reasons, and also it is good to be wise with most DeFi projects because majority are just there for hype and nothing more. Another thing you should know is, having a good team is one thing and the team being trustworthy is another, such that, they will continue putting in their best to ensure the project moves on, hence the reason it is better to study the team and know their years of experience and know capable they will be in that project.
Also, talking about active telegram group; most telegram groups are only active during bounty programs and after that, they activeness might drop hugely, so when checking the activeness of a telegram group, try and know the difference in the level of contribution of the investors and the bounty hunters.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any holiday airdrop? on: November 27, 2020, 08:29:23 AM
If you check most projects today, especially the upcoming ones you might find some doing airdrops, but however, the main question is, how rewarding is it? Taking into account that most airdrops nowadays are not worth it. Well, since it is airdrop, you can check bounty detective, I believe they have an airdrop channel, they used separately for projects that also runs bounty programs; therefore you can visit their channel and know what they are up to. Lastly, check the new bounty programs coming up, you might see some that are running an airdrop.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum dropped 15% in only 1 hour on: November 26, 2020, 08:09:11 PM
Bitcoin pumps and altcoins starting with Ethereum follows and Bitcoin dumps altcoins starting with Ethereum again follows suit, this has being the trend for a long time. Also, not only Ethereum is feeling the heat of the dump the whole market is also dumping hence it looks like price correction is taking place after days of massive pump which attracted a lot of attention, in the same way, market emotions and sentiment can also have a role in the situation.
In the same way, since the market is unpredictable, it is why it's important to always take profit as at when due, additionally, no one can actually tell when this dump will stop or if there will be another pump, hence those in profit will likely be taking their profits now, which of course will lead to more dump; this to the best of my understanding is how the market works. In addition, irrespective of the dump in the market, most people will still see it an opportunity to get into their choiced coins.
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in Freefall, What to Do? on: November 26, 2020, 07:56:12 PM
Everyone can give you his own version of advice or what to do, but still the best advice would be the one you give to yourself. First, no one can correctly answer your questions, because it all centres on what the future holds and truthfully, no one can predict such; it might be a repeat of 2018 or we might see another wave of growth when bearing in mind the good attention coming towards Bitcoin nowadays.
Also, Bitcoin holders who have been holding for a long time hardly bothers about this, because they are already in profit but if you are not a long term holder, and you are already in profit, then taking your profit now might be a good idea while you wait to enter again. Therefore, in my own opinion, in situations like this, if you invested what you can't afford to lose and already in profit, then take your profit and monitor the market to know the right time to enter again.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where will it be by the end of this run? on: November 25, 2020, 07:52:14 AM
Predictions about Bitcoin growth or position at the end of the bull run? But no one can really answer that question, in fact countless predictions has been made and I can't recall any that was achieved so I think it is better we just let it be, let the market have its cause, at end, we will know but for now on one can correctly answer it. Also, with the growth happening now, it will likely attract many investors but yet, since no one can predict the future, it is therefore wise to invest what you can afford to lose and not by listening to any experts about what price Bitcoin will attain because they won't be there to bear the lose with you when it goes sideways.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: November 25, 2020, 07:40:10 AM
Everybody looks so happy and optimistic about Bitcoin bull rally, everything is going fine for the crypto king and many expect it to last forever including myself. Do you really think so? I'm not talking about some corrective retracement, which is healthy for the market too.
What do you think can be the biggest threat for Bitcoin in current situation? In my opinion it can be only some sudden governments shift in regulations and laws to ban Bitcoin (which I don't really think may happen), otherwise there are basically no obstacles or threats.

Everyone is really happy this past days, the market is green and Bitcoin is making it more enjoyable and rewarding, however, just as the crypto market is, there will be corrective retracement wherein the prices will drop, also just like you, I don't see that as a threat but as market reactions. However, asking if the bull run will last forever, I don't think anyone can answer that question because no one can predict anything. On the other hand, about threats that Bitcoin will likely face, I think it will still come from the government. The reason is, market sentiment and emotions will always be there, and once the government says anything unfavorable to the market, people will react to it and the result will be seen in the market. Lastly, there is no way to ban Bitcoin now, because it has grown so much, so valuable, so strong and out of control of the government.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP miracle on: November 24, 2020, 08:07:36 AM
Well, it's no surprise because once the market turns green, predictions will be flying around wherein many will get caught in between it, some others will be conscious of their profits; this is the crypto space hence everyone is meant to carry out his own due diligence to be safe. Nevertheless, XRP made a good pump and holders will be really be happy. One of the good things about XRP is that, it has a good team, a good number of partnerships and Integrations, hence the reason it has survived this long. However, in my own opinion, XRP reaching whatever price now will depend on the market and what the team have up their sleeves; no one can predict the future price of any coin thus we should understand that and always be careful of what we listen to and what we follows.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We need more bubbalexs and Hhampuzs in this space on: November 24, 2020, 07:56:26 AM
Let's start supporting jr member accounts managing new bounty projects, not all of them are scammers, the only way we can have good people like Hhampuz, Wapinter, bubbalex and others is to give helping hand and support new bounty managers, all pro bounty managers today starts from somewhere too, I have promoted few bounties from new bounty managers with jr member accounts and they are quit good, I even put one or two through about some headaches like POA and stuff, we need more bubbalex don't we? Before judging any new projects from newbies or jr members kindly check the projects out first, thanks

That is true and I agree with you, these bounty managers are really the best, not only them though, there are still others; and everyone knows that, they grew to such extent by doing their best to ensure they offer good bounties and not only that, but also having time for their hunters, answering the needed questions, updating the spreadsheet as at when due and many other reasons. However, in my own opinion, I think the reason why most people (hunters) are skeptical about new bounty managers or those with jr rank is that, they always ask themselves if they have the needed experience and so on, but just like you rightly said, everyone started somewhere, hence the Importance of giving every new manager the opportunity to prove themselves. Lastly, I think one of the attributes of a good bounty manager is being open to suggestions and paying a listening ear to hunters.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was told about a private coin sale, is it a scam? on: November 22, 2020, 01:27:08 PM
Some one gave me a tip to buy JSTB. I can not find any information about it online though.

The exchange they told me to sign up to buy it from is https://www.iedgex.com

I can not find anything on that either. The website also seems extremely poorly made.

Does anyone have any information on the coin or site?

That really looks like a scam because every research you made, points to that fact. That is, if a project do not have much information towards what the team are working on, then it is most likely a scam. Also, if the exchange a project is aiming to list on do not look good, it is also most likely a scam, in addition to this, the website of a project must have enough information to state the ideas of the team, because it is always the first place people will visit for information.
Moreover, private sale is taken very seriously by project owners and one of the attributes of it is that, it ends as fast as possible thus showing that the project idea is good and people are really going after it, but if a project struggles to get private investors what then will be the fate of the project during the public sale, let alone its long term success.
Lastly, since you did not find the information you are looking for, it will be best to forget about it.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: November 22, 2020, 01:17:30 PM
This is correct and it is also what has made many people to gain a lot while making others to lose a lot as well. Also, I think this situation depends on the type of coin the person is holding first and foremost, that is, people who are holding Bitcoin will hardly think of taking profits, because from the look of things, Bitcoin do not look like it is slowing down while others keeps making predictions upon predictions, but however taking profit is actually very wise. But from another point, most people who are long term holders will really not think of taking much profit now, because they know what they are after, hence confirming the fact that, it depends on the coin.
Also, this situation depends on the type of funds invested, if you invest what you can afford into the right coin, you will really be calm and in this case, it might not be seen as being greedy or emotional, but going for what you want.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some till don't understand crypto and bitcoin on: November 21, 2020, 07:14:58 PM
SoftBank CEO said crypto will be useful but Bitcoin is hard to understand, but what is crypto without bitcoin? And again how is Bitcoin so hard to believe? Is there anyone on here is find bitcoin hard to understand? What's your thought on this?

Cryptocurrencies can also be called digital currencies and they include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and so on, that is to say, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. However, in the crypto space, Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency is called a coin (I.e stands on its own), while other cryptocurrencies from Ethereum downwards are regarded as Altcoins or Alternative coins. Therefore, saying crypto will be useful also encompasses Bitcoin, also it is wise to understand that, this usefulness in question doesn't include all cryptocurrencies rather only those with good use case.
In addition, in my own opinion, Bitcoin is very valuable, and something can not be valuable if it is not useful. Also, Bitcoin is actually the easiest to understand; peer-to-peer transactions started with it, decentralization started with it , in fact it laid down the path through which many platforms and/or coins are following now.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used instead of paper money on: November 21, 2020, 07:01:50 PM
"Bitcoin will be used instead of paper money"
we all know about Bitcoin. Even a few years ago no one had any idea about the sale. At today's price of 18 thousand dollars, the price of 1 bitcoin. It is a remarkable revolution. Bitcoin needed only one thing. Big companies accept Bitcoin. But it has been
somewhat successful in 2020. Bitcoin is going to be the currency of the future. Its value will increase at such a rate in the next five to six years. Which no one could have imagined. One is just people believing in bitcoin. If you use paper money you can destroy that paper money. but you can never destroy Bitcoin. Which you can't catch. There is no question that you will ever destroy it. This is mainly due to the differences between Bitcoin and paper money.

It is understandable that everyone in the crypto space loves Bitcoin and highly values it, but it is also wise for us to understand that some things can hardly happen. Bitcoin will be the digital currency of the future quite alright but can not get to a point where it will be a sole currency, the reason is, the advantages Bitcoin offers is a threat to fiat currencies, and since fiat currencies is owned by the government, they can't allow another currency to overtake it, replace it or becomes a currency wherein transactions can mainly be done with it.
However, it is right to say that, Bitcoin can be used where fiat is also used, that is to say, Bitcoin can now be adopted and be used as a payment option together with fiat and others like Visa etc.

355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another billionaire just invested in bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 07:09:50 AM
This is a very good news for the entire crypto space, that one of the richest men in Mexico invested in Bitcoin, which then means that, those who doubted Bitcoin will be surprised, those who thought it won't grow nor get the required attention will be even more surprised, because this is just the beginning. Also, with more attention and funds going into Bitcoin means more growth and maybe new ATH will be reached soon, I wouldn't say this year though, because predictions is something that hardly works here, but with more attention we will achieve that. Lastly, this is also another clear proof that holding Bitcoin is actually the best way to get started with the crypto space.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is for you the best Defi Project for 2021? on: November 19, 2020, 05:24:11 PM
We are still in 2020 and predictions for 2021 is already out, what is the assurance that DeFi will still be looked into next year, bearing in mind that in the crypto space, there are different trends, it was ICO, IEO and DeFi even people are already talking about NFT, so one can't possibly know what will happen next year. On the other hand, DeFi hype is gone, and Defi projects are no long enticing people the way they used to, which also means that, once a new trend is out, attention will shift.
Nevertheless, looking at the DeFi space carefully, one will see just few projects which are really going to make impacts so far their team are steadfast, and the first is ChainLink, followed by Compound and Uniswap. A lot of most DeFi projects rose to their respective heights due to hype, and soon users will know how strong they are.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Artist is tokenizing his body. (What?) on: November 19, 2020, 05:14:38 PM
What really caught my attention was the fact that he is using cryptocurrencies as a payment method, and the question is why? Maybe he have come to understand that in order to achieve his aim as well as removing any payment restrictions, that crypto is the best bet. However, I do not know much about Tattoos, but how long will this tattoo last on his body, is it permanent or what? And if it's permanent, what's his gain?
Nevertheless, I am in no position to judge but it's clear that people are now seeing that unlike the funny things they heard about crypto, that indeed crypto can really help one achieve his aim. In the coming years, we will see different ways in which people will use crypto for their personal endeavours, this is just the beginning and mass adoption is just closer.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins I have in my wallets on: November 18, 2020, 07:00:30 PM
I currently mining or have mined these altcoins, I would to know which coin the board thinks has a ggod chance of higher advancement in the future long or short term. The coin are : Bitbar, digibyte, zero, komodo, zel, vidulum, einsteinium, Lbry credit, bitcoin gold, verge, beenode, ycash, gleec, bitcoin sv, litecoin, zcsh, verus, bitcoinz, zclassic, and safecoin

I must really commended your efforts towards taking this steps, however there are lots of coins listed there and I do not know about some of them or have the information to ascertain how good they are. Also, it is good to know that only few altcoins can really grow in the long term and this growth in question depends on the team and their commitment towards a better platform for users. With this being said, I can only point out two; the first is Litecoin which of course has been around for a long time now, having good team and good use case, hence have higher chances of long term advancement while the other is zcsh whose team are also trying their best.
This is the only two I can point out but doesn't mean others are not good, just that I don't know or have much information about them.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Kucoin Hackers on OUSD... on: November 18, 2020, 06:40:22 PM
A good number of these DeFi platforms are just showing that most team have a lot of work to do, what surprises me is that, most of these hacks are targeted towards Defi projects; does it mean they are weak or what. If the team of a project fails to secure their project, then that project is as good as dead, because in one sweep or hack, the project might end up losing a whole lot and even if it doesn't, hackers might still find another vulnerable point. Before now, I used to see most projects launching bug bounty, so as to test their platform for any loopholes, while I hardly see that in most DeFi projects (I stand to be corrected though).
I think it is right time and very important that project team starts taking the security of their project serious because without good security, investors will lose interest and that will result to the death of that project
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 17, 2020, 06:51:25 PM
Someone have to do this from time to time, I believe that many newbies are still victims to scam projects till this days, we gotta keep warning them, not all can be safe but as for those who want to learn, here you go

1. Learn to control your greed
2. Money making should come last, learning is the first thing to do
3. Do research on exchanges as there are many bad eggs among the good exchanges
4. Follow the crypto investment rule, don't invest more than you can afford to lose
5. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversity is the way of winners in crypto space

All the best.

In my own opinion, the first rule that is very important is, investing what you can afford to lose, there is no two ways about it; people who invest more than they can afford to lose are always the first to complain and become restless.
Number 1 is very much needed and must be mastered not only by newbies but by other members before now as well, this is because, it is greed that has made most people to be holders of coins they don't like, it is also greed that makes people to participate in fake giveaways etc. Another point that is very important is doing research before investing in any project, mastering this will make the person to invest in projects that are worth it.
