The Support page reads payments sent daily, but maybe that should read Mon to Fri only, as I requested one last Fri & at 10AM UK time Mon it still just says Requested - not processed or sent as yet, I trust that it will be sent this morning & am now opening a ticket for it.

#35880
UKWithdrawalRequest
requested
For between 1,000 & 2,000 GBP

It depends on the bank receiving, some don't process transactions on weekends, others do.

And what will Bitcoin Credit Rating Agency do ?

What does any credit rating agency do? Keep records of bad loans so future lenders or investors can make informed decisions.
344  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GLBSE 2.0 open for testing on: August 11, 2012, 07:06:40 PM
I now started to check the offers in the forum and the first asset i found interesting is MOM.GLBSE.COMPOSITE. But i found that it is discontinued since july 27 and that it isnt deleted from the list even though this was requested. Plus, the owner of the asset says that he paid out the shareholders but still there are 30 shares offered.
I think it would be a better user experience when discontinued projects are deleted so users dont buy dead shares. At the end it would help the marketplace i think.

This was a case of me not being informed of the death of an asset. I don't have the ability to keep track of everything.

No phone replies, either, but someone around him said he's actively working to resolve the situation amicably for all.

From what I've learned, those around him (not going to drop names here) have been covering for him for some time. To resolve a situation requires at the least basic communication, of which we've not seen for months.

346  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] ZipConf bond on: August 11, 2012, 06:40:59 PM
ZIP.A will remain frozen, the funds recovered from REBATE will not be paid out to ZIP.A, bitdaytrade have been excellent through this whole ordeal and I commend him.

Any chance that any funds from ZIP.A will be recovered and returned to investors?

At least it doesn't seem to be a scam, as dividends have been payed for a couple of months.

Maybe I was to quick...if the guy just runs away with everybody's money, I guess that is equivalent to being a scam..

If we can get JRO to return the funds for ZIP.A then yes, if not then no.
347  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: August 11, 2012, 02:38:43 PM
BDT has been unfrozen, bitdaytrade has been very helpful in getting this mess sorted out. He can explain things from here.

Nefario.

Woohoo!

Nefario: At first I was pissed about the freeze, but now after reading your post in the REBATE thread I see there's a good reason here - I didn't realize there was some recoverable capital in the REBATE issuer's account. I won't doubt your decisions again.

BTW, since REBATE is going to remain frozen and potentially go into liquidation, will you also do the same process for ZIP.A which hasn't paid dividends either?

Alberto: Can we expect dividends today?

Thanks guys for working this out.

ZIP.A will remain frozen, the funds recovered from REBATE will not be paid out to ZIP.A, bitdaytrade have been excellent through this whole ordeal and I commend him.

All that's waiting now is to hear back from JRO if at all, failing that he will be the first person to be listed on the Bitcoin Credit Rating Agency, all his information that GLBSE has, and all the BTC he has run off with will be made public (this was agreed to by him when he was verified on GLBSE).

I'm sorry for any confusion over the last couple of days, we couldn't release much information while these things were ongoing.

I've still to hear back from Jonathan Ryan Owens(JRO), have sent him an email for the second time, tomorrow I'll call him.

Someone should. Has he been active on the IRC? It seems all his projects are unresponsive, including the sites zipconf.com and kronos.io. He was online here just 12 days ago, there is too little time for the websites to go down even if he doesn't have Internet access. Were they already shut down? His latest post was on July 15.

He's not replying to anyone except those who are phyically beside him.

In the meantime I've been talking with Alberto in getting this taken care of and handed the asset to him.

The asset will remain frozen and funds (that can be recovered) will be returned to shareholders via dividend payments.

Alberto will post the details of what is to happen next and what has already happened.

The asset is frozen, which means that there is no trading happenin, so shareholders are not going to be losing out.

Your wife is in prison, I can't really tell you why but don't worry, we'll send her back sooner or later and you can be a happy couple exactly as before, you're not losing anything...

You're wife is at the scene of a crime, and has been taken to the police station for questioning, and later released.

The issuer contacted and trading of this asset has been frozen until further notice.

All attempts will be made to resolve this issue as soon as possible but is dependent on the issuer JRO, Jonathan Ryan Owens.

Great.  So now there will be zero trades in the contract-specified 120 hour window.  If a buyback is in the works, I propose it be priced at the IPO price.

If development is still ongoing, we need to hear from those involved as to whats going on.  IMHO the biggest issue is a total failure to communicate and set reasonable expectations.

If the project is to be abandoned, I'd consider taking it over.  Whoever's in charge can pm me to discuss if desired.

He can't issue a buyback currently. But I've not heard anything from him regarding this.

But with DT, and now Meni promoting it, I was willing to buy in.  I realize Meni has no real say over things, but if he's willing to put his name on it I believe that he believes its on the up and up.
playing neighborhood bully freezing people's assets willy-nilly.

We rarely if ever freeze an asset (usually at the request of the asset issuer), and never do so without good cause, while this is getting worked out we're not able to talk about what is happening in public.

It's certainly unfair to call us/me a bully when all we're trying to do is make GLBSE as good as possible for all to use. If we do nothing it turns into a ghetto, if we do too much we kill off good projects, it's a fine line for us to thread and we're doing the best we can.

I myself have been unable to get online since early yesterday until now when I started to get first communications from other parties.

As I have stated before, we're working to get this taken care of as soon as possible.

I'm confused, what was the issue with this asset?
REBATE is 50% JRO, 50% Alberto. BDT is 100% Alberto. REBATE and Zip.A have effectively been non-functioning with no communication from the Issuer, which I assume is the reason for the freeze. BDT, I suspect, has been frozen due to guilt by association.

Not really able to say more until I hear back from the asset issuers. As I said in my above post, I hope to get this resolved as soon as possible.

My withdrawal was processed yesterday, seems they've gotten through most of the backlog and Intersango.com is back on its feet functioning as normal.
360  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the next big thing in Bitcoin services? on: August 07, 2012, 07:06:35 AM
So like a service that you would pay bitcoin to and they would issue you your usps stamp or ups shipping label?
What I'm thinking of is a network where anyone with a bike, car, van, truck etc can sign up, get a message when a delivery comes up in their area, accept it and make a few b's. A trustworthy network would take time to build up so a simple 'deliver it now' service using UPS, postal services etc. would probably be the only way to get started. Eventually it could build up to a service as anonymous as bitcoin, no names or addresses necessary, just GPS co-ords and times with verification on delivery.

This would be pretty awesome.  I think this idea needs a whole lot of development, but could be one of the coolest services bitcoin could offer.

It already IS under development, it's called bitdrop
