341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 19, 2020, 09:54:45 AM
It's not just newbies that fall for different scams and frauds. Of course giveaways are always tempting and there is where we need to be extra cautious. Everyone is looking for the best and most favourable exchange but we ako need to have im mind that security comes first. And it's good for community to share every information about specificirati exchange or other service that is not legitimate.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will likely see a sharp increase then decrease in price on: August 19, 2020, 06:50:04 AM
If bitcoin pops to $10700 as swaystars prediction, I'll just follow his move and will get some profits at that level. And if it plummets to $9000, I'll push and use those profits.
It's going to be another roller coaster for sure.
Just after two months, we get to see bitcoin $11,000 and then goes $12,00 then with a little correction back to $11,000. We're on the right path but just as I've said a few months ago.
I took some profits just to have some cash on hand but it doesn't mean I'll be giving up holding bitcoin. The favor is within us.

Despite this favourable period I haven't sold my coins. I beleive this is not the peak yet and although it might not come this year I continue to hold. Now we are having slight correction that was expected to my opinion and after that the rise might not be sharp anymore but on long term holding is profitable.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian tool will make your transactions transparent on: August 18, 2020, 07:31:14 PM
For me Russia and transparency don't go into same sentence. I'm more likely to beleive that they will produce some tool for hiding. However, anonimity of Bitcoin is past tense and actually doesn't exist anymore. Even without such tool transactions are much easier to trace then before and it's hard to fully hide anonimity.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict top and your selling plan during this market cycle. on: August 17, 2020, 07:24:50 PM
I don't think that in this cycle Bitcoin price will go all the way to 2018 peak. 15000$ might be the max we will see now although before that value some corrections are possible.
Personaly I don't intend to sell my Bitcoins, I will continue holding. Maybe just some very small part but at the moment I don't need fiat money and the profit might be even bigger in the near future.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 17, 2020, 05:15:48 PM
when gambling is not safe, everything has a risk and the government should not be able to minimize that risk because the risk can be minimized by the gambler himself, so be careful when you want to gamble and as much as possible to be able to control your emotions when you lose, take a short break .

But only a few gamblers can minimize the risk by not using too big money, and they can control emotions while gambling. The rest of them will use more money to gamble because they can not control emotions. If the government can protect the gambler, maybe the government can prevent the number of addicted people in gambling. But still, that is hard to see that will happen because the gambler will search the other website to still gambling.

Exactly, addicted gamblers will always find their way to gamble and I don't see how this could be prevented in efficient way. Gambling addiction is aa serious as amy other addictiin so it's reasonable that governments try to find the way to keep that under control. However, I don't know how this could be possible in reality and not to cut some rights for everyone else which is not good.
346  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to become a millionaire, here is the secret formula on: August 16, 2020, 06:26:44 PM
There is no secret formula how to become millionare. Nothing in this world doesn't come easy and over night, for everything you need to.work very hard and have a bit of luck too. So, don't trust to those who will tell you they have some formulas and receipes, they usualy just try to get money out of your pocket.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 16, 2020, 04:26:05 PM
Gambling addiction can really lead to serious mental and emotional consequences if left unchecked, especially if the player loses a very big amount of money. The amount that was proposed is low but it is already, for me, an acceptable amount that can be implemented so that we can achieve the necessary aim of helping potential victims stay in good mental state. They can try to increase the amount depending on the players means, but I think the best is still to educate the gamblers and advise them to control the amount of money they put in.

It's true, addictive gambling can leave serious consequences. There are many attempts to prevent and control addiction but we have to be honest and admit that we can only help victims if they want to. First they need to recgonize and admit they have a problem that is why I think that education and prevention are the most important elements in the whoke process
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 and Bitcoin on: August 16, 2020, 08:49:21 AM
I don't see the connection of.Bitcoin price and COVID -19. I the begininig of pandemic Bitcoin price didn't rise, just the opposite we had a price correction. Yes, people are staying home more and buying online but many of them don't use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for shoping but fiat money and their credit cards. Many merchants still don't want to accept Bitcoin and that hasn't changed during pandemic. Maybe people got more interest for Bitcoin but since there is no official numbers and statistics that can't be proven.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think the house can counter your strategy? on: August 15, 2020, 08:22:54 PM
No, they can't or better to say they shouldn't although in theory that is possible. Casinos need to be fair and not misuse such situations. At first glance that might seem as disadvantage for the house but on the long run it's always the house who is on the winning side.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 15, 2020, 05:34:48 PM
Isn't that a clear thing? What makes a good bettor is his statistic! If his statistic is over 70% winning rate, and he is in profit, we can say for that person that he is a good bettor! Winning rate for itself doesn't mean much, he can win low odds and miss high odds, to lose more on his losses than he makes profit on his winnings. It's why except winning rate you need to take a look at his bankroll to have a full picture.

That is true, statistics and winning rate makes the good bettor. But what makes him achieve such results, that is the question? Is it knowledge, experience, luck or something else, what is the key? We all know that only few among us are really good successful bettors so what is the secret for success?
351  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 15, 2020, 12:13:34 PM
China is always one step ahead of US and Europe. To my opinion reason for that is their mentality and very different culture, social and political system. It's not the one they should be especialy proud of but obviously it works. They have a very strict defined strategy they follow and they don't care much about human rights and freedom. No matter all the progress and economuc success I don't think this will end well.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2020, 09:43:45 AM
This is not an easy task. Older people are usually not interested in new technologies, they think they don't need them and that are too complicated for them. I've tried with my parents but without success, they still have negative opinion about it and they don't think Bitcoin is something that is necessary for their lives so they are not interested to learn more.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when Bitcoin reach$20k? on: August 14, 2020, 07:56:19 PM
I will sell half of my portfolio off if the price reaches $20K and continue to hodl the other half while waiting for another pump irrespective of the price behavior bullish or bearish all I need to do is to wait patiently the mistake of not selling some in the last ATH in 2017 had taught a lot of us lessons while some hodlers luckly sold off some of their coins then thus making a massive profits, bitcoin hodling is for strong-minded people not for feeble-minded ones who fumbles and sell off in any massive dump in it price.

That is a wise decision, not to sell all. No matter how price good is don't ever sell all your coins. There is always a chance for bigger and better profit to be made later and it's always good to have at least something in your portfolio to continue with and to invest and hold further to grow. That is lesson that I've learned on my own skin.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Germany Continues Shutting All Unlicensed Bitcoin ATMs on: August 14, 2020, 10:56:03 AM
It may be a part of larger conspiracy against bitcoin or may not be! But if a government has a set regulation to be follower for all crypto related businesses, that must be followed! Businesses in Germany are lucky because they at least have a guideline to follow while in majority of the other countries, guidelines don't exist and regulators are free to make up any charges against the illegal business operators.

If the rule is very strict for a small business to follow, then that can be addressed through various legislative channels, but ignoring the existing legislation and continuing to run the business, won't definitely bring good results!

What conspiracy are we talking about? If the law and regulation say that Bitcoin ATMs need to be lincenced to be legitimate then everything is clear. So basicly, with unlicensed ATMs someone wants to make illegal profit so I don't see anything wrong that government.doesn't want to allow that and that doesn't have anything to do with Bitcoin itself.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will likely see a sharp increase then decrease in price on: August 13, 2020, 07:58:30 PM
This is not quite true. Yes, we had increase although not that sharp and then decrease but a light one I would say. Now it seems that we have some semi stable situation but that can easily change and to my opinion further corrections are possible although I don't expect to see some big drop. The price might touch 12000$ but to my opinion it will not cross that line so.soon.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 13, 2020, 11:47:52 AM
Stupid law to be honest. I know people are saying that they are "protecting" their citizen, but in fact it looks like they are trying to control their citizen. Why would an adult person would need the confirmation of the government  to gamble? If a person doesn't have money or can't afford to gamble, though he still wants to, but then being stopped by the government might feel really shitty. Instead of taking proper steps to help the unemployed or people in need, they are taking absurd steps like this which shows how incompetent the government is.

I agree. For adult people in their right mind this law is a violation of their individual liberties. I think it can be applied to sick people, or the so called "addicted gamblers" (maybe it even should be applied to them), but sane adults should have the right to do whatever they want with their money. Even risking all of it at once should not be prohibited in a free society.

I might agree with such opinion but how would you determine and check addicted gamblers? Do they have some medicine documentation about that addiction? I don't think so, most of them doesn't even know they have a problem. Also, who could monitor such limited implemtation of law? I'm not saying this law is the ideal solution but exceptions would be really hard to determine and performe.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy restart big Boom and prosperity Coming on: August 12, 2020, 04:57:30 PM
As long as a vaccine has not been found, I doubt that economy will restart the big boom, especially since prosperity is unlikely to come
in the near future. We have to think realistically about this problem, and give out huge loans is not a good idea in my opinion. Maybe the
economic crisis can be resolved, but only for the short-term. Whereas in the long term there will be new problems, such as debt everywhere,
there is high inflation and taxes will be higher too. This will make the people suffer and away from prosperity.

I don't think that vaccine is solution for economies. I mean maybe it might be but we can't wait that long, economies all around the world don't have that time. It might take a while for safe and efficient vaccine to be found and meanwhile we need to find the way how to live with virus and restart and encourage economies become life needs to go on as normal as possibile, that is important for all of us. Although I don't think that big prosperity will come that soon and possibly economies all.around the world would need to change from the basis.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a Fake Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2020, 01:46:20 PM
In the real world, we used fiat or physical money in our daily spending. And this physical notes can be use in fraudulence or a so-called Fake Money.
How about in Cryptoworld, is there also a Fake Bitcoin? If there's any, how can we identify it?

Al altcoins are Facke bitcoin, because they take the bitcoin source code and create new coins.

All the Forks are fake bitcoin too because they take the main blockchain and split it while getting a new coin.

Even we have fake satoshis, some users claiming they are satoshi. So, just don't believe everything you read Wink

I wouldn't say that altcoins are fake Bitcoin because they use the same source code. They are varieties of crypto they just use the same technology and source. They would be fake when some coins would claim to be Bitcoin and use the same name and they are not, which is possible only in theory because in real life this would be revealed instantly.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: August 11, 2020, 07:32:08 PM
I wonder how they come out with that decision, if they keep allowing woman to play football then soon there will be new rules to accommodate woman in this sports, football is a rugged sports and some men might take a chance on those woman or other will impose their physical superiority, not all men will support this move.

Maybe not all men will support that and in a way you have the point. On.the other hand I think they should give it a tryw, to see if this is possible and we need to fight prejudice. Although if it will work in Netherlands that doesn't mean it will in other countries, not all countries are so open minded as Netherlands.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin adoption really is. on: August 11, 2020, 03:48:04 PM
I don't think that there are any offical figures about Bitcoin adoption. Everything is based on subjective impression and evaluation but according to that the level of real acceptance is quite low. In the future that might change but the whole process is going rather slow and somehow I have the feeling that Bitcoin isn't following the path of other new technologies that penetrate much faster into our society.
