341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 30, 2023, 10:42:01 PM
With technological advancements, a gambler can now enjoy his favorite casino game from the comfort of his home and even on the go. Convenience, accessibility, and expanding selection of online gambling platforms are sure to entice more players in the coming years. What do you think will be the subsequent big adoption in the Gambling industry in the future?

According to my understanding, there are two important innovations that will be adopted by the Gambling industry.

These technologies will surely be integrated and applied (not adopted) without even being noticed by most gamblers.

I'm sure it's already live on some platforms. Virtual Casinos though might be a unique thing but for me, it's just an added attraction to the platform. Mostly, aside from the fun, gamblers will stay on their purpose to make a profit, not to test these virtual reality games. Entertainment-wise, it's an attractive way to lure customers.

Referring to the use of enhanced AI and bots might be really a big demand in the future as it will reduce the cost of work by real humans that are prone to errors and might give a good satisfaction rate by most users because of a much smooth and professional service. AI is designed to make things smoother, at any given and related work and that will give any company ahead to those who are not using yet that kind of technology.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 30, 2023, 10:10:10 PM
They further delay this fight and give Inoue lots of time to train and that would be bad news for his opponent because the more they prolong the preparation the more he can train and get used to his new weight class. In other words, Fulton has only a slight chance to win this fight and might never be asked for another rematch if he will be beaten badly or just get knockout.

Do you mean the injury on Inoue's side, which results in moving the fight date from May to July, is intentionally done just to give Naoya Inoue an advantage of a much longer training? Am I correct from what I understand from that post? If yes, that's not making sense to do since Inoue also following his own timeline, and a several months delay on his supposed original date fight can have a big impact on his roadmap.

Aside from that, there's no way Inoue's camp will do something to delay the fight, especially not with that kind of excuse. That's not how the Japanese Monster plays the game. He doesn't need to rely on that advantages as he himself already carries those advantages and we know his capability.

This fight is most likely the important one because the result will determine if Inoue is compatible with this weight division or not.

Naoya Inoue is no doubt already compatible with the 122 division and honestly seems looked overqualified even before entering officially that division. If let's say he loses to Stephen Fulton, it's just that he can't take the champion here but against anyone else in that division, Inoue can surely topped most of those. But I'm sure if he really loses here for real, the fight is a close one and a rematch is probably the next in line.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 30, 2023, 09:46:27 PM
The games of the third party providers offer different game play mechanics, different music, themes and art work which is enough to keep us hooked and new games are released weekly, that is why casinos, the big ones offer us over 50 providers and over 2000 slots so we have a huge selection of games.

Business indeed as usual and in order to keep up against other providers in the gambling industry competition. Most online casino platforms, regardless if it's crypto or fiat, surely won't use the service of a game provider if they are found sh*t in that industry.

In order to be recognized as one of the biggest slot game providers, it's really necessary for these companies to create more games with such interesting themes and features. RTPs or any related stuff about winning chances, random algorithm, provably fair, etc. are honestly being ignored in most cases as sometimes slot players are choosing games based on themes and those icons or logos with eye-catching "up to XXXX win" banners.

Personally, though, I'm used to keep playing at a game provider that gives me more wins in the long run "regardless" of what the specific game is. I will just continue lurking on that said provider until I feel I'm finally running out of my luck. Yes, in most cases, I do test lots of their games before considering jumping on other game providers. Seems effective for me in the long run.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 09:29:17 PM
You want to get cured of compulsive gambling because you are too deep into it and you are under professional supervision to cure your addiction, your physician asks you to undergo hypnosis to cure your deep-rooted addiction, will you allow it

Honestly, I do think that compulsive gamblers won't try any kind of cure as they are enjoying being like that.

Hypnosis as proven treatment or not, why should they care? Alright, if let's say at some point these gamblers allow themselves to undergo hypnosis or what, it means they recognized the problem therefore they don't actually need that kind of medication as what they will have to fight is the temptation to continue gambling.

I don't know the overall effectiveness rate of that kind of medication but I don't think that's really a big help when we talk about "treating gambling addiction completely". Curing gambling addiction does need a serious approach. It can't be overcome with just a simple hypnosis thing (no offense to believers).

To fully cure gambling addiction, the process requires a big dedication to the person himself with the help of his family and friends.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 29, 2023, 08:59:12 PM

Just a bit off-topic but I just want to share this article:

Naoya Inoue, Chantelle Cameron named 2022 IBF Fighters of the Year

Naoya Inoue was named 2022 IBF Fighters of the Year and he was rewarded with the organization's highest honor, "The Jersey Joe Walcott Award".

For the record, Naoya Inoue won the IBF title in 2019 and defended six times (against Emmanuel Rodriguez, Jason Moloney, Michael Dasmariñas, Aran Dipaen, and Nonito Donaire Jr. 2x - which was probably the highlight of his IBF Bantamweight Title journey).
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 29, 2023, 08:27:53 PM
I’m always bored playing same bet amount while my bankroll just keep coming back and fort to my initial bank roll.

I feel you and there's no other way to change the mood but to increase our bet and expect that winning will come next.

However, in most cases, the other way around happened which is losing most of the time and the result, will come back again on the initial bet and the cycle will just repeat, coming back and forth to your initial bankroll or worst, now playing lowered than your starting bankroll.

Honestly, there's no other way to handle it but to force ourselves to just keep and maintain the starting bet amount no matter how many times it keeps coming back and forth to our original bankroll. We will only consider changing our bet if somehow, the bankroll increases while in the process.

Patience is really the key.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 28, 2023, 11:58:18 PM
The way Denver sweeps the Lakers. I will go with both of you. The chance that they can also sweep whoever wins the East finals
might also take place, if both Jokic and Murray will play that same monstrous game when they beat Lakers.

Head-to-head comparison though, either who will win in Eastern Conference Finals, we can't deny the fact that Denver Nuggets is really the team to beat. Putting a defense against Nikola Jokic is already a problem and I don't see who can defend him "properly in the entire game" from either Boston Celtics or Miami Heat.

Remember when the Lakers are dealing with the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, Coach Darvin Ham executes different strategies just to contain Jokic, at least. He put Davis, one of the best defenders in the league, and seems not effective. He also puts Hachimura to guard Jokic but ended up tired as he also puts efforts on offense. Vanderbilt, Schroder etc. Nothing really works in the long run. Aside from that, when Murray got heated, he was nailing his shot anywhere on the field regardless if it was contested or not. That's how hot his hands are this playoff.

Take note also that Denver Nuggets is not just about Jokic and Murray. Michael Porter Jr. is one of the best contributors on the team. He's also one of the big reasons why the Nuggets were able to take down the 100% healthy Phoenix Suns in the second round of playoffs and one of the problems dealt by the Lakers in the conference semis.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crazy Sports Betting Idea on: May 28, 2023, 11:46:06 PM
So I was thinking, isn't there a way to bet on managers who will most likely be fired by their club management before the season ends judging based on their performance?

In my long years of being a sports bettor, or betting on future events, I never saw that kind of betting but honestly not impossible to happen.

However, that type of betting isn't under any category of sports-related events that's why low chance to see any related betting for that in the usual sports-betting platform. Maybe if some platforms offer betting on future happenings, we can see that bet. Aside from that, that kind of bet might be taking advantage of those people who are within the circle of that club as they have inside information of what will possibly happen and bookies just created their own disadvantage.

Another idea would be, you can start a form of P2P betting, maybe on your circle of friends or to offer a challenge to anyone.

Overall though, I don't see that bet as an interesting one. It won't surely catch my interest or see it worth betting my money.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 28, 2023, 11:36:11 PM
So what do you think about the list of instructions stated by the article, are they good enough to keep a person to have an edge against the gambling platform?

It's a good read however gamblers should keep in mind that it doesn't give any edge against the gambling platform.

The article states more of not doing suicide gambling or just relying purely on luck. Doesn't mean though that gamblers can have the edge against the gambling platform but it's more of helping a gambler to be responsible enough to take care of their respective bankroll to last long.

You are right that others say there's no perfect gambling strategy and it's true as we are dealing with unknown circumstances here in gambling. What we should take care of is how to manage properly our bankroll in order to take our gambling session in the long-run. And more importantly, once we already nailed some decent winnings, force ourselves to take a break and enjoy the profits we have made.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 27, 2023, 09:49:57 AM
As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?

I honestly understand being in that situation as I can apply that to me being a die-hard of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks for 2 Decades and still betting in favor of them at some point regardless of their winning rate or being an underdog. Take note, I'm a die-hard sports betting enthusiast but when it comes to my super favorite team, I'm against all odds and ignoring the risk factor.

But it doesn't mean I have to go always in a suicide bet. It stilll depends on how I looked at the game as being an underdog doesn't actually mean a pure underdog. Since I know my favorite team well, it helps me create my own analysis if a certain underdog bet is "worth taking a risks".

Experience is the key and that tell me what should I do as a; being a long-time fan of my favorite team + being a sports bettor for long.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 27, 2023, 08:30:34 AM
Allowing the Celtics to win the next game would certainly turn the tide against the Heat.

Actually, allowing the Boston Celtics to win the last game already shifted the pressure for the Miami Heat and I also previously pointed out that before. The Heat have no choice but to aggressively push on settling the deal with the Celtics in the next game.  Allowing again the Celtics to have another win, the momentum will now surely focus on the Celtics in the deciding game if ever, the Game 7.

I'm sure Miami Heat already knows what to do but it seems the right execution is a bit of a concern. It's now tough to play for them knowing there should be no room again for any mistake. I recognized Heat's impressive rally from play-in to Conference Finals but they should win no matter what next game and shouldn't allow Celtics to return to their beloved homecourt next game.

Hard to play in a pressure game but Heat should think that they are not ahead of the series but instead, consider the next game as a do-or-die game for them.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: May 27, 2023, 07:50:51 AM
Maybe all will differ on current situation of the market since majority will use bitcoin to gamble when the volatility of this coin became stable and no losing in value due to crash has been encounter by a user. We or other decide to use alts when bitcoin is doing some crazy actions and people cannot afford to spend their bitcoins that's why they look for alternative coins so that there hodl bitcoin will never get touch then be use for what they think much better way to earn more either trading it or just simply wait for the price to soar high.

From what I see, regardless of the BTC volatility and high-fee-related issues, gamblers will still be gamblers.

We don't even see a noticeable decrease in gambling activity, at least in crypto-gambling platforms using BTC deposits even recently, there's a high fee related to any BTC transactions. I don't really see that most gamblers really care about that as long as they can gamble. Alright, let's say they care for fees, they will just use coins that have low transaction fees but it doesn't mean they use that coin because that's their preference to use.

Aside from that, nothing really changes on the winning rate regardless of the coins used. For a much more convenient gambling experience, at least in my case, I like to show my balance in fiat value so that I know how much I'm putting into to any bet regardless of the exchange rates.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 27, 2023, 07:02:05 AM
I truly hope that this time around, the intentions are genuinely serious.

Referring to anything related to this fight, and there's already an official announcement, posted also on both boxer's respective social media platforms, even on the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) website, we can now expect that this fight is now 100% "for real".

No more bullsh*ts, no more crap, no more dramas, no more giving false hope, etc.

Terence Crawford: "If I get him hurt, I'm Going For The Knockout"
Errol Spence: "As soon as I get in the ring, I’m stepping, and I expect him to step too. We’re going to put on a great show.”

It was also reported that's there a rematch clause included in the contract:

Crawford And Spence Have Rematch Clauses In Contract For July 29th
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why choosing instant withdrawal casinos on: May 27, 2023, 06:40:55 AM
I had an experience that made me think about why everyone should choose instant withdrawal casinos I’m sure there are many reasons for that but for my experience where i was gambling in a not instant withdrawal casino.
I played some slots and won good amount of money so i requested to withdraw all of it right away. After 24 hours my orders still pending so i contacted the support to cancel the request ( which was so dumb from me Xd).
After playing again i lost all that balance and i was thinking if i was in an instant withdrawal casino this scenario wouldn’t happen even that it was totally my fault ( and please no need to mention that again )

In your opinion why you should choose instant withdrawal casino instead of regular ones that can take days to receive your winnings?

It's not that withdrawal should be literally "instant" but at least, the withdrawal processing time shouldn't take too long and is still within our tolerable zone. In your case, even if the site involved is crappy in processing the withdrawal, it's you to blame for being too tempted to gamble more which resulted in losing all your funds instead of pressuring the support to process your withdrawal.

Is that the first time that the site you are referring to processed that withdrawal too long but your previous withdrawal goes smoothly? If yes, then maybe there's a problem occurs and you deserve an explanation for that. 24 hours of waiting really suc*ks.

Again, you are the one to blame for that loss and not the casino, "technically".

Out of curiosity, can you mention the site you are referring to? There's no reason to keep it private.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 25, 2023, 11:52:49 PM

Boston Celtics defeating the Miami Meat 4 times in a row is really hard to imagine knowing how we see the Miami Heat rise up and keep their dominance starting from fighting their slots into the play-in tournament to having the ticket to the playoffs, upsetting the number 1 seed Milwaukee Bucks by 4 games to 1 in the 1st Round, entering the Conference Semi-Finals and finished with a 4-2 series against the improved New York Knicks and now having the 3-1 lead against the number 2 seed Boston Celtics that was 3-0 prior.

However, from what I see, if the Boston Celtics still win in the upcoming Game 5, that might give them more boost and confidence to remain alive in this series and possibly can tie the series even playing away at Game 6 before returning to their beloved homecourt in the deciding Game  7.

Miami Heat should do everything to now finish the business this Game 5. They will feel more pressured next game if they allow Celtics to have another win.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 25, 2023, 11:42:56 PM
Brave works great mobile to block any kinds of ads. If you are a pc user you can still use a chrome. Just install ad blocker plus (like I did) and you will now have a great browsing experience. There is no need to pay for youtube premium for this. That is only a waste of money and we can be able to use that money in gambling or investing.

In the very first place, that's not the purpose of users that is purchasing Youtube Premium lol.

They buy the premium version, not just because of ad-free but because users tend to take advantage of other features that the premium version offers.

But yes, I agree with you that there's a Google Chrome extension that is effectively working in blocking Youtube advertisements although I don't want to encourage users from installing any third-party plugins to their respective browsers without any idea of what they are doing.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 25, 2023, 11:31:52 PM
I have no doubts for Stephen Fulton and if we're just talking about the credits earned at super-bantam, then surely Fulton holds the most credits for being a true warrior and stood up without waving any signs of cowardness from him. Even this time, he could've already left the said weight class because he was already open that his time at 122 might be nearing its end but instead of doing that, he chose to stay and will face the WBO super champion, Naoya Inoue.

And as I mentioned before, Stephen Fulton already expressed his interest in sharing the ring with Naoya Inoue way back in the time when the Japanese monster was still not the unified champion at 118. It just happened that when Inoue decided to move up, Fulton is now planning on moving up to 126 but instead, keeps his feet at 122 as there's "unfinished business" to settle first.

Also as I mentioned, Stephen Fulton's legacy will be more standing-strong as defeating Naoya Inoue is really a big achievement knowing he is up against a boxer that no one in the 118 can defeat. Inoue is really a "big thing".

It's also good for Fulton to leave the 122 with no doubts and entered the 126 as a big star.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 24, 2023, 11:00:03 PM
I know many will find this hard to believe but I kinda prefer bringing in gamblers than investors into crypto, why? They understood the risk already, there is no talk and talk over again, there is no dealing with someone fear and confidence..

If that's your own preference, then so be it.

However, the risks you are talking about are just all about money and nothing else. The risks in gambling are different from what the usual investors are facing. These investors know well how to manage the risks since there's always a way to how to deal with those unlike in the usual gambling where mostly, luck is a main ingredient.

Obviously, those gamblers you are referring to and able to lure into the crypto world won't mind some risks since they entered crypto just because of the purpose to gamble with crypto, simple as that. I don't see they will truly care for the volatility and anything else in crypto or even to know crypto basics in general since they will just gamble on their usual.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 24, 2023, 10:33:50 PM

Board chairman Ricky Vargas and commissioner Willie Marcial are set to preside over the three-day meeting at the Warwick Hotel in France

While the PBA is currently holding their PBA On-Tour Series (or others called it as Pre-season Match), the PBA Board is busy planning some of the agendas that we might expect in this year's PBA season. As I previously mentioned and posted before, PBA might probably commence in October after Gilas PH settles scores at the FIBA World Cup and ASIAN Games.

Some of the agendas that will be discussed are:

1) The possible return of Bay Area Dragons

- I like the idea of having foreign teams again in the PBA as that really brings much tougher competition in the league while giving chances to those low to mid-tier teams the good experience of dealing with a foreign team. I hope, if not conflict with the Dragon's schedule, they can get a chance to participate again in PBA.

2) The home and away participation in the East Asia Super League (EASL)

- In a simple explanation, this means EASL games will be held in venues in all participating countries. Yes, teams have the chance to play with the support from the home crowd and on the other hand, also playing against an away crowd.

3) Format of the season's two conferences

- Because of the PBA's adjustment to the World Basketball Events this year for Gilas, only 2 conferences can be pushed this Season 48, All-Filipino Cup, and still undecided for the import conference. I think it was Commissioners Cup when Bay Area Dragons played at the PBA therefore, maybe they can choose that conference again so the same height restrictions for imports will be applied to all teams if ever they will join again.

Please share your views about these, guys. Smiley
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 24, 2023, 10:01:42 PM
I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.

I believed the advertisement shown per user is based on their activity, in most cases. Maybe you ended up in some specific category.

I have never ever landed yet in a gambling-related advertisement on Youtube, local or foreign, crypto or fiat, even though I'm browsing the platform every day. Mostly, general advertisements are what I'm encountering e.g products brands, commercials, infographics, etc. that are based, of course, here in our country, etc. Sometimes games related advertisements as I'm always lurking at some game streamers (not gambling-related).

Maybe you triggered Youtube's algorithm based on your recent activity that's why it shows advertisements that might be relevant to it. That's how reaching the target audience goes in marketing. I'm sure that most users will not just experience that surge of the same advertisement without any reason.
