341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why can't the current Ethereum price keep up with the Bitcoin price? on: November 20, 2020, 12:16:49 PM
We all know that the price of Ethereum will grow when bitcoin is growing, everyone knows what happened in 2017. When bitcoin hit the price of $17k - $18k then the ethereum price was already over $1k - $1.2k, but now when bitcoin price is $17k but the ethereum price is very difficult to break the $500 price, shouldn't ethereum current price should is $1k

Actually what happened to ethereum?

There is a wide difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum, Bitcoin is the first and most trusted coin while Ethereum is the first altcoin and trusted as well, also when someone want to get started with crypto investing, the first coin he is likely to start with is Bitcoin. In addition, when you check most of the interest and/or attention the crypto space is getting, most of them are towards Bitcoin such as that of PayPal.
Moreover, going down memory lane, as of 2017 there were just few blockchains wherein almost all new projects were leveraging the Ethereum blockchain but now, we have many other blockchains thus upcoming projects are now spread over many blockchains unlike during 2017 when it was majorly Ethereum. Nevertheless, Ethereum price will grow more with the upcoming upgrade but I can hardly say if it will pass $1k or not.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 500 Altcoins with actual usecases and strong fundamentals on: November 19, 2020, 08:20:33 AM
Hi guys,

Maybe we can have a discussion on Altcoins with potential based on their fundamentals and usecases? In other words, shill me your top 500 coin and explain why it will gain investor interest.

Let's discuss!

Top 500 coins? Isn't that much and what can someone be possibly doing with 500 coins, will he be able to keep track of it in cases like swapping etc, well in my own opinion it's much. Also, I do not think one can also see top 500 altcoins with actual and applicable use cases, most of the coins in coinmarketcap have nothing other than hype which gradually fades and the project forgotten. Nevertheless, I do not hold many coins, I only hold those which have something to offer and hence can last long term, and of course, the first in my portfolio is Ethereum, we know how it has been growing and how the team have been trying to upgrade it and so on. Secondly, Binance coin, this is an exchange coin whose team are also experts in bringing in new features. XLM, Tezos and ADA also made my list because their teams are one of the best, and to me, once a team is active and serious then the coin will be a valuable one.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think will become next Ethereum? on: November 19, 2020, 08:00:19 AM
Ethereum? The best altcoin in the crypto space, how possibly can any coin replace it when the team are not taking chances and are also working hard to ensure the continuous growth of the platform. How can another possibly replace it when it is obvious that the number of users of the blockchain is much, when it is also obvious that the number of new projects using its services are much not to talk of old projects. I think we need to understand that the Ethereum blockchain is not like most blockchains that offers one claim or the other with no tangible proof, also we should remember that Ethereum upgrade is coming soon, maybe with that, we can understand that with the activeness of the team, that no blockchain can possibly replace that of Ethereum nor any coin take its place.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What' is yours opinion on BNB coin? It's incredible the valu on crypto Market . on: November 18, 2020, 04:44:54 PM
First I don't think the supply is much or very high when compared to others. Secondly, Binance coin (BNB) is not like other altcoins,  that is, it is a coin with good utility values and the Binance team are always on the lookout to implement and support more features which will attract more users hence more use of their coin and more growth in all sense. Also, another good feature of BNB coin is that, it is based on the Binance blockchain with very low transaction fee but fast transaction speed as well. Therefore in all, I can say the BNB coin is one of the major coins in coinmarketcap and with the Binance platform growing even more will ensure more growth of the BNB coin hence retaining a good rank on coinmarketcap.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO, market has IEO. After DeFi, market has CyberFi. Be cautious! on: November 18, 2020, 04:31:11 PM
In as much as it is true that in every phase of the crypto space, there were scams but however it is also good to note that, there were good projects which used different fundraising methods to achieve their aims; that is, be it ICO, IEO, or DeFi, there are still good projects. In addition, many projects will still be coming up, where there will be those that have good ideas, there will be those that comes with scam ideas, hence whichever be the case, it is our sole responsibility to study every project, while looking beyond the hype to ascertain their level of seriousness and genuineness. With all these being said, I don't know much about this project in question, but it will be wise for potential investors to study it before investing.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: any project with coin distribution?? on: November 17, 2020, 12:11:35 PM
Is there any current project distributing free coins or having Airdrops?

Or anyone giving free coins as start up.. let me know I will message the address

Airdrops are not worth much in recent times, that is, unlike years ago when the value is worthwhile but nowadays what we see mostly are airdrops that are used to scam people either through asking for payment to be used as gas fees to send the token or by asking users their private keys with nonsense reasons as to why they (scammers) need it. Nevertheless, once in a while I always comes across projects that runs bounty in addition to airdrop, so you can also check new bounty projects to be sure. Also, there are bounty platforms, I think the likes of bounty detective that have an airdrop channel, so you can also check there. And lastly, always try to check out the airdrop to know if it's worth your time or not, in addition, always secure your private keys.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Neblio good investment? on: November 17, 2020, 12:00:53 PM
One of the facts or features that makes a project worthy of investing is the continuous improvement of the platform by the team, take Binance as an example, if the exchange hasn't been developing, supporting many features and so on, will it be the best exchange out there? NO. Hence, Binance is a clear example of what most projects should do, and not just listing on top exchanges. Talking about listing on top exchanges, if the project isn't living up to expectations and hence a constant decline in price, top exchanges like Binance will delist it, so don't use listing on Binance as a criteria to know a good coin. Lastly, I don't know much about the project hence I can't say if it is scam or not, but if the team aren't doing anything serious within the platform taking into consideration the number of years they have been in existence, then look towards investing in another coin to be on the safer side.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we getting better over the years on: November 16, 2020, 08:18:15 AM
Are we getting better now after 10 years, after ten years there are still hacking going on, there are still many scam projects and the market is still volatile but on the lighter side the adoption is progressive, the market always recovers from any situation, and there are good project coming in.

Yes I agree that hacking and hackers seems not to be relenting but the question that matters as well is, why are hackers not relenting? The answer is, it is because crypto is better and more valuable now, hence since this is true, in addition to attracting more potential users and investors, it also attracts hackers and scammers. But with these scammers and hackers still not relenting, has it in a way made crypto look less attractive? No, rather is encourages us to be more careful with our assets and its security.
When you also talk about volatility, you also talk about potentials as well, and this Potentials bothers around good projects, so it means that, with investment in good projects and major coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, gains, profit, growth and mass adoption is always sure.
Also, from another side, if crypto is not getting better, I do not think big organisations will be looking into it, but nowadays, gradually they are coming in, in order to participate in what the future holds as well as serving their users well.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super-Expensive Bitcoin Cash Wristwatch on: November 16, 2020, 08:09:18 AM
Looking at the features, it is a clear understanding on why it's kind of expensive, however it is good that people are now looking into that aspect of connecting the material world with crypto, also taking into account that wrist watches are highly used by people, it is also a good way to spread the word, knowledge and advertisment of crypto. However, security is very important in this case, because going about with such wrist watch with your assets in it, might be a good idea to some people while it might also be a bad idea to others, but whichever it is, everyone's opinion is different, hence the need for the security of those wallets to be paramount such that even during theft, a third-party can't access it. Furthermore, I really like this, as it shows crypto to gaining more attention with each day.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: November 15, 2020, 05:45:13 PM
The team are always in the best position to make their choice about the fundraising method they want to go with but over the years IEO seems to be working well, although its hype has dropped with the upcoming of Defi, but I think it is safe to say IEO is quite better. I don't think STO ever had a chance because there was little to no success about it. IDO came out with the emergence of DeFi but with DeFi hype going down as well, what will be the fate of IDO? Also, even most DeFi projects are carrying out IEO on centralized exchanges, hence a further backup to my answer that IEO till date has proven to be better and somewhat safe. In addition, the success of IEO mostly depends on the exchange hosting it, also most projects now carry out IEO on more one exchange in order to record good success; hence I think I can say that from all ramifications, IEO is the best fundraising method and a good choice for the team to take.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lebanon to launch digital currency in face of economic and financial turmoil on: November 15, 2020, 05:23:56 PM
Lebanon,  another country working on getting their own digital currency, I think it is safe and right to say that sooner than later, many others will join the race. However, on one hand, this is a good move as it will expose more citizens to digital form of payment or better put, digital money while on the other, since it is still run by the government, it means there is little to no change in their quest for control. In addition, I also believe this news brings a good opportunity and that is, since it will succeed in exposing citizens to digital form of money, the curiosity that comes with it will make users to venture into the crypto space, and once gotten hold of the unique difference between the crypto space and the government owned digital currency, they will get involved with crypto as adequate.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Post-COVID World Powered By Blockchain Technology on: November 13, 2020, 03:43:06 PM
Have you ever wondered what our world will look like after the demise of COVID-19? As we enter an era where the mainstream economy becomes "digitized", Blockchain technology will be at the forefront of innovation. From keeping track of the supply chain, to proving ownership, Blockchain will be finally integrated in our daily lives. Already, we're seeing a boom in demand for decentralized cryptocurrencies. Banks have announced they'll launch CBDCs of their own, enabling a truly cashless society in the not-so-distant future.

On the other hand, more companies are beginning to offer remote jobs as a means to prevent mass infections of COVID-19. Doctors are even recurring to "telemedicine" at a fast pace. With how quickly the world is evolving, it seems to me that we're heading into a digital era never before experienced in our lives.

What impact will Blockchain technology have after the demise of COVID-19? Will everything be automated without middleman? Will people resort to physical cash once more or adapt to the new monetary system powered by CBDCs? Or is it still too early to tell? With how successful crypto and Blockchain technology have been since their inception, it's likely our world will adopt Blockchain technology to the fullest.

Thoughts? Huh

It looks like, before talking about blockchain technology and its mainstream use, one need to first address the area of mass adoption, that is, how many people even knows what blockchain is all about, how many people can access cryptocurrencies easily and so on. During the pandemic, it was evident blockchain and cryptocurrencies are needed in order to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and all that, but the challenges that kept coming up was that, not many stores or platforms accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, hence the depending upon fiat over and over again.
However, I believe that with constant development, at least many platforms are coming onboard, that crypto will be adopted and with that, more people will be educated, crypto will be easily accessible, therefore people will use crypto for payment of services since there will be more stores or platforms that will accept them.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seriously Valuable tokens listed on uniswap?.. on: November 12, 2020, 10:42:29 AM
It's hard to understand you but to the best of my knowledge, tokens are listed on different exchanges based on what the team want and their preferences. Nowadays, most new projects gets started on Uniswap to gain more growth before moving to other exchanges. Also, talking about Uniswap and valuable tokens, first I would say it is easy for projects to get listed on Uniswap, that easy part is what makes most scammers to list their scam tokens as well. In addition, some can even list fake tokens in order to deceive investors into thinking they are investing in the correct one, as usual this is what the easy listing on Uniswap causes. But nevertheless, just like there are fake tokens or rather invaluable tokens, in the same way, there are valuable tokens as well on Uniswap, you only have to get the correct trading link from the project team. This fact about valuable and invaluable tokens on Uniswap is also found on other exchanges, or better still more in smaller exchanges.
About coins and tokens that are failing, a good portion of the blame can be moved to the team because just as theirs is failing some other coins and tokens are also growing. And for DeFi tokens, one of the things that attributed to its growth is hype and Uniswap exchange, but with things taking a different turn, Investors are losing Interest as the hype is taking a downturn as well.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects can still deliver on: November 12, 2020, 10:20:45 AM
First, I would say, new projects can still deliver if the team change their thoughts and perception towards the crypto space, that is, changing it from aspect of personal gains to the aspect of more developements, with this, attention will be gotten and growth will be achieved.
Secondly, I would say, new projects can still deliver if the team starts looking towards good exchanges for their IEO, or looking towards good exchanges for token listing. It must not necessarily be top exchanges, but there are still valuable exchanges which can help a new project grow, so listing on that sort of exchanges will help them to grow and hence deliver.
Lastly, I would say new projects can still deliver, when the team stops unnecessary competitions, hype etc and focus on bringing about unique products and services which will push the project to success.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin pump and dump on: November 11, 2020, 10:23:04 AM
I think altcoins pump and dump are highly seen in newer projects as the team can once in awhile show they are still around, some will only pump once and that's it while in major projects, their developments spikes the pump and the dump is not as bad as those of the newer projects, which is also mostly as a result of market reactions. Now about knowing if a coin will pump and dump, it is always hard to tell because no one can correctly predict anything in the crypto space, hence whatever coin or mostly new coins you are investing in, with the hope of pump, you might only end up risking your money. Lastly, my humble opinion is, check out major coins like Ethereum, ADA and so on.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: November 11, 2020, 10:14:10 AM
That is just it, ICO had so much success even many old projects which are still with us today once had ICO but the high number of scams is what lead to its death. Even ICO rating platforms, I have forgotten their names, which were made to try their best failed woefully hence the advent of IEO. IEO however, is a bit better although it has similarities with ICO, but yet till today it is still functioning but no much hype like before. Also, although there are scams in IEO but these scams occurs in smaller exchanges. Hence, if I am to choose, I would choose for IEO to come back, since it is better and have little scams. As for DeFi, the hype is gone and only few good projects are coming up.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will YFI go down again? on: November 10, 2020, 02:11:09 PM
In my own opinion; from  $24 down to 2$ I don't think I would be wrong for saying the price difference is much and thus do not look like a good investment to me, also taking into account all this happened within a week. Also, from another side, the good question is, what is the chances of buying and the price will go up later in the near future? Besides, considering it is a new project and giving reference to many new projects nowadays, the token might not even rise and might even continue going down. So I would suggest you kindly go for top coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc, and be satisfied with your investment. Lastly, most DeFi projects are just hype projects.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is DeFi ❓ What Do You Need To Know About Decentralized Finance? on: November 10, 2020, 01:56:08 PM
Decentralized Finance (Defi) is another way to show that the crypto space is filled with a lot of potentials and possibilities, thus contributing to the growth of the crypto space in general. Also, currently Defi can be considered to be the latest trend in the crypto space whose emergence brought a lot of attention both to some decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and some blockchains like Ethereum and Tron, although majority of them are all based on the Ethereum blockchain. Furthermore, I think DeFi have a good concept but too much hype lead many people into not seeing the true worth of it, and also this hype lead to the other scam Defi projects. Nevertheless, overlooking the shortcomings, scam Defi projects etc, and focusing on the potentials, the good DeFi projects if properly worked on can achieve their aims of bringing about a Decentralized Finance ecosystem.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who would have thought that music projects still have a chance? on: November 09, 2020, 06:39:52 PM
Honestly I never thought that there would come a time when a music based crypto project wi actually works, tell me how many of you guys knew that audio (AUDIUS) can be this successful? The token brings over 400% gains for investors, I always have thing for crypto music projects but I've been failed too many times, the last one that broke my heart was Moozicore, do you guys have any in mind? What's your thought on this?

I totally agree with you about music based crypto projects; I do not think I have come across any which was successful, during the ICO phase many came up and are nowhere to be found now, and I think Moozicore was the last of them I ever come across. But seeing this growth recorded by AUDIUS shows the team did something others failed to do hence the massive success. Also, in as much as it is still early to judge the long term growth of the project, I think the team has succeeded in building a good foundation they can base on to work, Improve and offer use cases which will make their project attractive thus becoming the top music project based on blockchain. Lastly, with this success recorded by this project, I won't be surprised when others starts springing up with different ideas or comes up just to scam.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency? on: November 09, 2020, 06:23:11 PM
I always think when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency and I've thought of several methods for choosing the right time to buy cryptocurrency, that is :
1. buy coin during ICO, IEO or STO;
2. buy when the price down (dump);
3. buy when the project has a good news;
4. buy when the price starts to increase (pump);
5. buy when coin from the project listed on big exchange;
6. buy when the project already has a product.
Then from the methods I have mentioned, which method is the most appropriate to buy cryptocurrency or is there another method that you can suggest to buy cryptocurrency at the right time?

This is right, it just shows the different times different people tends to buy cryptocurrencies but where a person might be lucky in one case scenario another might not be lucky, how? Talking about buying through token sale, that is, IEO, ICO or STO, those who buys from top exchanges can record some profits but those who buys for other small exchanges might not. About when the price is down? Is there any assurance that the price will go up after buying or will it dump more? Those who this favours most are those who buys Bitcoin or Ethereum or other potential high quality altcoins but same cannot be said for new altcoins. Point 3 don't normally work nowadays unless the project is one of the major altcoins, while point 4 through 5 can still go sideways as it looks more like FOMO. And lastly point 6 can also be likened to point 3. So from all these, what I understood is, what works for one person might not work for another, some might take their time to invest in Bitcoin alone while some might think altcoins are more better, thus showing that, one can just stick to what works for him.
