341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: January 28, 2024, 06:44:41 PM
I see people selling their pis but no one is interested on buying them, where it is actually listed and are there real market on it?

IIRC, there's an exchange that made one copy cat of it for it's trending and that has became popular for a while but it's not the actual pi that these people are mining but it was just an exchange made token with the same name.

Well, with that exchange, it has able to manage to ride on that hype and made lots of money.
Actually i see many non-crypto playing pi network as their hope to get rich.
Dispite i know it's a possible scam but there is an opportunity to earn money because they have alot of crypto newbie in their community.
The opportunity is on the team and not on the users. Just as the same when the time that I've said on the quote, still, what's the progress? If there's any progress then that's good for the hopefuls of it but if there's none, they need to start thinking of what's the right thing to do.

And that is to just dispose and forget about it because their hopes might shatter when they see the reality of it that the opportunity they're hoping for of becoming rich through this project.

Well, it's their time being wasted on this one so if they're holding on and waiting for it to get some value, wishing them luck but hoping that they'd knocked by the reality.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hey Gamblers, Here's Some Questions for you. Would Love your Responses on them on: January 27, 2024, 11:25:12 PM
1. I am off with the advertisements that I see on banners on search engines and video sharing platforms and even social media. Because the links can be tricky and you don't know the genuine ones and not. Therefore, going onto the forum is my best option.

2. Neutral.

3. Yes. Because we're in a community and everyone helps out the others in finding the one that suits their gambling needs and the freedom to choose.

4.What do you mean by that? But in my understanding, they've got reminders at most times that we should gamble moderately and they've got feature about being self exclusion.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple looking for ETF, would it be the second one? on: January 27, 2024, 09:42:02 PM
That might be the next rolling sequence for the altcoins if it's about the ETFs. We've seen go first for Bitcoin, next is with ETH but not yet approved and then delayed again.

And that's pretty interesting to see with XRP. Although, it's no longer a secret that it is centralized and it's for the regulations. It's likely that we may get the 3rd and then might be followed by any preferred altcoins again by these institutions.

I have no idea to myself if I'd be happy or not with this when we're mostly seeing institutions is like gonna be the dictator of these ETFs from the crypto market.
344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is top bitcoin competitor? on: January 27, 2024, 02:30:41 PM
what stops them from building a coin on the block chain that'll bypass the total sum of bitcoin users, and regulate it?
Bitcoin being established and loved already by the community is prolly one reason why they're stopping. Or, they have probably made already a few but then it doesn't make sense to compete against the one that has started it all.

They just can't go with the people when everyone has already made their choice by investing in Bitcoin. And in fact, if you go around with the market and see the various altcoins there.

Who knows if one or two or several of them are like watch dogs and backed by government but even so, none of them can stop and compete against BTC.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 02:23:07 PM
It is the older men that gambles more for fun. They don't have anything to do anymore and that's what they're living their lives being at that age. They've got more money as well because they're retired and probably have a lot of wealth through their working and professional days.

Whilst for the younger ones, they're on the side of accumulating and working for their future. And they've got a lot of distribution of their money and it's hard to start honestly. So, if it's just for having fun then there is no doubt that it is the older folks that gambles for fun.

They wouldn't mind losing today and going back again tomorrow in the casino and have some fun again. You'll see a lot of retired folks trying to do the things that they've missed during their younger days.
346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social engineering a risk to security on: January 26, 2024, 06:15:38 AM
If you fell on a phishing link, the hackers are patiently waiting for their victims to fall on it. And with that, it's important to check the characters of the website that we visit and where we login.

First, about the links/urls and check them first if they're correct because that's how people fall for these phishing websites. When you just search them through google and lazy to type directly the website.

Lastly, about where we login, if you're using public WiFi. This has been told many times that don't do it and never connect to any of them if your device is important to your crypto activities and it's got your important apps like related to finance too.

These things are also related to security, simple if we're going to think about it but many fails to protect themselves by simply being informed.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 25, 2024, 10:41:07 PM
They want an all Filo players to their roster and it's a major achievement if ever they win some majors.

I heard some rumours about this, well not really a rumours but more of a statement from 23savage iirc. Something that says, if you let more than 1 filipinos in the team then slowly that team will turn into an all filipinos team. So yeah I guess filipinos loves to stick together in a team huh
Yeah, it hit the social media and the Dota 2 community for the SEA for months and even until now. He's known for flaming that situation because he was kicked on the roster and I think that was with T1.

and personally I dont really mind this as long as the teams are showing great results
I also don't mind that. What I want to see is everyone winning and showing that they're the greatest players and teams currently. This is all about competition and it's understandable for 23savage when he's said that because it's painful when you got kicked after being with the team you helped.

But don't forget that it has also helped you back then. Anyway, if you watch contents about him from other dota 2 streamers, they always get to flame and startle him because he's easily pissed off in the pubs.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What memecoins are you holding atm? on: January 25, 2024, 03:49:58 PM
I'll just wish you all the best for holding these meme coins. I don't hold any of them and I am done with them. It's hard for me to check on what are the next potential meme coins that might be the same as Dogecoin.

There has been a lot meme coins lately and everyone tells that they can be the next big thing if it's with the meme coins. Yeah, you guys are right and just make yourselves rich by holding these memes.

If you earn a lot from them, congratulations but if not, lesson learned.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: January 25, 2024, 05:03:39 AM
I'd avoid paxful because they have been closed before but then they have returned with a new management IIRC. And having that kind of attitude towards the business and that is why I wont be using them.

I have used Binance and I have good experience there but I was forced to comply with the KYC when they have changed their policy.

Right now, if you like to use decentralized p2p platforms. There is the bisq that's very known here.
350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crypto & Older Generation on: January 24, 2024, 08:47:37 PM
It is different in the past and of today and that's why many of the old generation are reluctant of investing to the current modern world asset which is Bitcoin and any other cryptos.

But for those that are of the same age but hesistating as well, they won't judge as long as they're keeping themselves informed by simply doing their own research to understand why many younger people are in it.

I don't think that there's any relation about jealousy or what, they have their own ways of determining an investment for them if it shows or doesn't shows any red flag.
351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding privacy and security on: January 24, 2024, 06:39:56 PM
Data is everywhere when use the internet and as a user, we unconsciously filling those things up. We thought that it's fine to give those details especially in a social media where it's like a public forum and data miners are everywhere there as well.

If you happen to post your phone number to any comment section, don't be surprised if someone will approach you to offer such things. Privacy is still not that talked much on the internet for the normal users.

But for people like us, we're all aware of how important it is to keep ourselves remain with the privacy of ourselves that we protect.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 24, 2024, 03:20:22 AM
As we're just talking about the first removal from Nigma.Galaxy, there goes the two new additions for another qualifier. They're not going to do good if they keep on changing roster and I think that they're aware of that when they will be just with these players for a very short period of time.

Good to see kiyotaka back on 9Pandas. And for Raven, I think that there will be a lot of opportunities that will be open for him but isn't he playing other roles in the pubs lately?
In my view, this change was a must for Nigma when their previous roster couldn't even beat the other MENA teams like Winter Bear and teams don't have the luxury to wait this season in hopes of improving their teamwork when the qualifiers can be scheduled a few months early.
I guess that I will just wait until what happens to this new roster that they have and that is because, they're also doing everything they can to get back on track and be at the top again. It's been so long that we haven't watched them with major tournaments and they are experimenting continuously for years but, I just wish them to have a good run this season.

I don't follow Raven, but I did see some comments mentioning that he initially wanted the offlane role, and he had no other choice since the org already got Gabbi.
I have heard that there's the "CEO" player on the roster for Blacklist and that is Tims. He's like the one who makes decisions on who's going to get kicked and hired if he does like or doesn't like the performance of his teammates.

IMHO, they're past with their prime expect for Gabbi and Abed. They want an all Filo players to their roster and it's a major achievement if ever they win some majors.

As for raven, I thought that he's playing some pos 4 pubs or it was just a meme that I've read. I think that he's doing the right thing of transitioning into an offlane just like what Gabbi did. He might be taken by some other teams that lacks an offlane but he has to prove himself first since the pos 1 category has a lot of new, younger and aspiring talents.

Maybe guys you haven't noticed it yet, I've just seen that the ESL One Birmingham open Qualifiers are happening right now. While the main event is far from the date now, they're setting these qualifiers.
I haven't watched any of the recent open qualifiers, but i'll check on it once the closed qualifiers start next week.
It's going to be a long tournament although the first phase is done, the open qualifiers #1. Now, we're heading to open qualifiers #2.

We've got some team announcements earlier today.

The L1ga team with Ramzes probably didn't work out that's why Kiyotaka moved back, and Nigma Galaxy now has a better lineup. If it works, they could maybe take over PSG.Quest in the second spot and give Team Falcons a competition.

I am not a good poker player but reading oshambles review, I feel that the effort and feeling exerted on the article was great and full of excitement and joy.

On the positive note about mentioning the addiction, that's the point of why he's coming back because the vibe of what betcoin social poker has brought to him and some may think that it's on a negative tone but it's not.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can AI Games Break Through in Crypto? on: January 23, 2024, 03:16:27 PM
IMHO, we're glorifying AI as if it can do anything. What's more applicable to it is that it automate the processes and becomes more productive to the tasks that it's assigned for. Like the ones you've mentioned for building and coding.

Whilst for AI projects, I don't think that we're going to see them shine this time because IIRC, they've got some glimpse and runs already on the last bull run and it's always different for every new bull run that comes.

Comparing it with the other niche for games like NFT games or Play to earn games, I don't see any difference on it with them.
356  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trouble withdrawing from Kucoin? on: January 22, 2024, 08:47:10 PM
My heart aches while reading this if you really paid 65k for what they've asked you.
He has not paid them. That is why he is asking the question but he was thinking that it was Kucoin exchange, nit knowing it was a fake exchange that cloned Kucoin website.
Yeah, thanks my bad. I thought that he already did it.

My guess is they want to see how much they can milk me for. If I can show them I have 130k, they might let me withdraw some in order to keep me playing. I'll try to play them at their own game, but i'm not going to be giving them any more money.
No, if you think that you can outsmart them they won't bite with that screenshot unless it's already reflected to the blockchain and has some confirmations.

You may try but IMO, you can't outsmart them. But just make sure that you won't give them any penny or just stop wasting your time on them.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best way make your Bitcoin anonymous right now? "Mixers"? on: January 22, 2024, 06:50:23 PM
Well, infairness with the governments that have tracked down some of them. There's a likely that they do have some tools/technology.

Going with the monero conversion, no one argues about the cost of it because it's effective to hide your privacy as what everyone is telling about it.

As for OP, I'm sure that he's got the ideas already that have been mentioned by every member here which were the same.

Yeah, I converted to Monero using the method described in the first response, moved it between addresses, then converted back to a different crypto to send to the CEX. Worked great. Thanks everyone for the advice!
That's good to know.

Use mixers, if you can't afford to do that, you can make use of the gambling organizations, lastly, try to engage the use of bitcoincore over Tor.
Expect that you'll be asked to comply for KYC when you do that with the casinos. They are aware that users might be using them to mix their Bitcoins through them.

And if a user is new to them, that's why they're going to ask that user to complete verification if ever it hasn't been done yet.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 22, 2024, 11:07:42 AM
Usually if it's with captaining, what I have noticed with pro players. They like to be captained but as for another captain to secondary captain, there's the beef starts for one having ego of not being commanded.
With Kuroky that's probably the last thing to happen when he seems to be the guy that would easily de-escalate those heated situations.
While I admire about him with his attitude based on the interviews from his teammates and former teammates, he's got one good getting along with other people.

Maybe guys you haven't noticed it yet, I've just seen that the ESL One Birmingham open Qualifiers are happening right now. While the main event is far from the date now, they're setting these qualifiers.

The main event will happen obviously in Birmingham at the Resorts World Arena on April 22-28. Still a few more months before we get to see another major.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 21, 2024, 11:04:38 PM
Who is agreeing with me that Kuroky needs to retire? Just look, after rebuilding the roster of Nigma Galaxy and falling short to the qualifiers for the Dreamleague in Mena region. Ghost and RMN have departed ways with the team. I know that it's just like a part time contract for the two but Kuroky needs to give that spot of his to someone else who's better and has more quick and active reflexes.
As much as I agree, he probably won't step down since he has the power to do what he wants for the team, but I hope they've already found a decent replacement for the next qualifiers.
He owns the team so basically, he'll just do whatever he want. He's like the Dendi but support version, I have nothing against them but it's acceptable that they've got their own prime and for Kuro, he's past that.

Better no matter how the cores are yet he's still there as their lackluster, that's like a 4v5 matches at most times.

They don't have to find a support player with good reflexes when those are better for the core roles. IMO, they need a support player who can influence the team as a whole and maybe become the secondary captain for the team to help Kuroky fix their long-time problems.
Usually if it's with captaining, what I have noticed with pro players. They like to be captained but as for another captain to secondary captain, there's the beef starts for one having ego of not being commanded.

But no one's gonna grow with that attitude and last long on these teams.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best way make your Bitcoin anonymous right now? "Mixers"? on: January 21, 2024, 09:55:16 PM
Mixers don't work anymore, stay away from them.
Most likely because the forum has banned them? I am assuming that you've said that they don't work anymore because of the recent ban that has been implemented about them here.

I'd agree that one way is to convert your BTC into Monero and going on with coinjoin.

@OP, https://kycnot.me/ might help you.

Nothing to do with that, it's just widely assumed now that Chainalysis and governments have technology that makes them obsolete, that they can track transactions through them.

Monero is open source and only costs 1% to convert to, 2% max if you convert back, so why not be safe and do that instead?
Well, infairness with the governments that have tracked down some of them. There's a likely that they do have some tools/technology.
