341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: December 29, 2023, 04:06:08 PM
Would be fun to watch both legends but was more excited on Pacquiao coming to the ring again considering I'm not that familiar with Buakaw though it ring a bell. I think the favor would be on Manny considering it is his niche that they'll fight for but there's not much of disparity though on both sports. Will support Pacquiao all the way.
What's exciting about this fight is that we know what to expect. I mean, this cannot be a boring fight since Buakaw and Pacquiao are both warriors on their respective sports. I'm sure everyone knows that Buakaw is a kickboxer, so this is like an MMA fighter fighting a real boxer, same with Floyd vs McGreggor or Jake Paul vs the MMA fighters he beat, and of course, the boxers won.

Pacman is a sure winner here, just like his last exhibition fight with DK Yoo.
And, when Manny fights as we all know he fights his best inside the ring, it's more like he's entertaining the crowd as it is worth every penny that they paid to watch him fight.
That's why people loved him because he is an entertaining fighter, during pro and after retirement fighting for an exhibition fight, In fact, his first exhibition fight was a success as he won by KO against a youtube sensation. Promoters are willing to invest big money on this fight as they know people will come and witness this historic fight, legend vs legend, who would miss that fight?

Although Buakaw was way more younger I don't think Pacquiao is already out of shape, he has been in shape and probably prepare this fight as well.

45 years old vs 41 years old, not much of an age disparity, and they are warriors, so they love to fight.

343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 29, 2023, 12:18:56 PM
This year taught me something about the importance of trusting the projects we invest in. It means that as we choose this project, we also believe that it will grow and give us profit, and of course, we are willing to hold. But if we already have doubts inside this never happens, better choose to sell them and make another choice because that will only cause losses. That is why when deciding to buy this coin, we have done the research first, not just after. We don't need to hurry, try to spend more time searching and looking for the right one, and of course, it should be in good timing - buying low. All the effort will be paid off in the end.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seems it's alt season... Any suggestions..? on: December 29, 2023, 11:49:04 AM
The only coin coin I have to recommend to you is Bitcoin. Because the risk associated with Bitcoin investment is minimal when compared to that of altcoins. I know you are just looking for a way to make good profits within a short period of time, but that is just another term for gambling. Investing in new coins is something I don't do, though I cannot dictate for you, but it's better to stay on low risk than high risk. Hope you put in what you can loss without affecting you financial condition.
I think you forget about ETH and BNB, these coins are potentially profitable.
We could just say it was gambling if we choose shitcoins but we are choosing the leading altcoins and that is a different story. Well, can't hold on to people who only just choose BTC but for me, choosing a few altcoins is a good idea. I kept doing this for several years and I was in profit meaning, that altcoins are not as worthless as you may think, it is just a matter of choosing the right one and managing skills. But if you can't take it, then must stay on Bitcoin.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 28, 2023, 02:52:14 PM
One of my plans before is to continue my monthly DCA until bitcoin reaches $50k. I don't know but I already missed 3 months including this December. I felt bitcoin was already becoming expensive and that I thought I could buy at a discount. So far, the more I waited, the more the price increases. I think I had the opportunity to buy bitcoin at $26k last October but I insisted on waiting a bit. My October DCA would've been valued at 150% and my November DCA at around 125%.

I wasted some opportunities but it is what it is. Now I have to stick to my plan B which is to wait for bitcoin to drop below $40k to continue my DCA and of course to fill my 3 months backlog.
Consistency is a common problem of us, no wonder about it but it was not totally regretting since you have also accumulated some. Unfortunately, we have missed some opportunities that we can't bring back. Well, we have to accept that some of our plans are never fulfilled because of some reason and financial circumstances. That is why I practice following my plan as much as possible and take it seriously thinking that I don't have to lose any opportunities.
346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I see many users talk about trading but does anyone here actually trading? on: December 28, 2023, 02:06:21 PM
I was sure that many members here have tried trading but had quit after suffering losses and when they knew they couldn't make it.
Some of them are now become investors just like me. With my trading experience, I could say that trading is a tough job, it was stressful, especially during bear season. And aside from that it needs more time to spend on the market to analyze the price movement which is why if we don't focus on doing this, we'd rather choose to leave and shift to investing. We don't need to force ourselves if we feel doubts nor do we have to push through if we think we're incapable enough to perform this job because, in the end, we are just the ones to suffer losses and regrets.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 28, 2023, 12:37:54 PM
Almost every gamblers notably those that make use of online Casino's for their gambling have the notion that except from a license owned casino they don't use any  casino without a license, which I think is a cautious thing to do.

But have been wondering and wanting to ask, does a license guarantees that a casino won't scam it's customer's going forward.

For me, I think this is not a guarantee to think that we're safe, License is one of the requirements of a casino to our government to operates in a legal way, and that doesn't mean they won't fool us, Besides we don't know what their associates are doing behind the casino company. We all know that sometimes even those well known and legit gambling casinos still have problems like fraud and scams.

That's why there's never a guarantee that a casino would not cheat us because they have the license. I think we have plenty of casinos that has a license and yet they don't have a good reputation, still they won't be able to attract gamblers. And not all license casinos does not scam their customers, some are scamming customers but customers sometimes does not puruse to file a legal action, and that's the reason why they are still operating legally.

The most important is, reputation, then License.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What gives high winning percentage for you, spread or total? on: December 28, 2023, 11:55:52 AM
I would choose the spread though because that's where we will experience the excitement since we are rooting for a team. For total (under/over), I do some side bet sometimes, so I can't really tell which between the two are more profitable since my bets on total and spreads aren't equal.

If you don't want to get thrilled much, maybe go with the total, as spreads are very thrilling, stressful at times due to lead changes.
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is hard!!! on: December 27, 2023, 10:02:52 PM
Acquisition of knowledge is differ so if the person is an expert as well, and if you are not serious to learn, you can't make it and be like him. And when you are trading don't follow the prediction price but follow the real market or Price. If you follow the prediction price then you will miss track and all your funds in the trade will just lost. And as we said it before, don't just go into trading because you have gotten a very small or a little knowledge about it but join when you have gotten enough knowledge in it. And make sure you know your entering and exit point in any of your trade.

I have said it before if you have an expert instructing you to trade them always wait for him to give you signals if not you will lost you funds for trying to prove yourself as a good trader. As it is said, " trading is difficult".
Not sure what you mean exactly. However, it is true that each trader may have a different knowledge capacity/level. So, it may influence the way to trade, knowledge will have a big role in trading. Experts will never rely on people's prediction (signals) because they can make their own prediction. But for beginners or people who have lack of knowledge are very possible to rely on people's prediction (signals) to decide buying or selling. This is very risky because we don't know how accurate the prediction (signals) made by random people.

We mustn't rely on certain people or experts to get the signals. It never guarantee for profits! It is just a common prediction that has no guarantee for the accuracy.

That's the reason why we should not compare ourselves to others and question why I'm not successful or why I am profitable because of our differences,
 - handling the situation, decision-making, and behavior.

And more often we commit mistakes because we let our emotions decide. That is why if we want to succeed, we must deal with it. If we keep our mind positive, we can rip off our negative emotions but if we have doubts already, better not to continue as it only leads to failure. Trading is risky and stressful, so we need to prepare ourselves as well on how to handle it.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: December 26, 2023, 10:08:07 PM
They are not telling the truth behind this, too hard to believe this story. In fact, they make a lot of fake stories just to divert people's blame, yet all of these things are their plan. And this WHO had never obliged them to tell the truth but just unbelievable stories.

We heard a lot of rumors about another disease, another pandemic strike...sometimes we think that this is all about business. Someone created a virus and made money from it. It is proven during the COVID-19 time and still China is on the top of it.
351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 26, 2023, 09:44:59 PM
Just like in investment, in trading some have gone too far and succeeded, some have also quit and diverted their interest to other stuff. I could say that a trading carrier can't be forever, there is also a time to retire from doing this especially if you're not profitable anymore.
Honestly, trading is stressful, I know we can't live that way forever. Yes, some chose to become an investor just to stay in the crypto market and keep their coin. In fact, I'm doing this in real life and many others are doing the same granting that investing is less stressful and more profitable long term.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 26, 2023, 03:35:36 PM
But it is what it is, so history has been made today by Inoue. Let's see if Inoue is true to his words that he wanted to remain in this division and clean it up.

Names like Luis Nery, Akhmadaliev or even John Riel Casimero is potential opponent for him.

Maybe Akhmadaliev and Casimero had a better chance of fighting Inoue since the latter loves to fight in his own country, especially now that he is the champion. AFIAK, Luis Nery is banned in Japan, so for the fight to happen, it should be outside Japan, which is unlikely to happen.

That's correct, he is banned for life.

JAPAN BOXING COMMISSION BANS LUIS NERY FOR LIFE

Quote
Former WBC bantamweight champ Luis Nery might one-day develop into a major player at junior featherweight or featherweight but the controversial Mexican fighter, who won his title in Japan, will never fight in that country again.

The Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) announced on March 9 that it is suspending Nery from fighting within its jurisdiction indefinitely, a reaction to the 23-year-old fighter’s failure to make weight for his WBC-mandated rematch against Shinsuke Yamanaka on March 1 in Tokyo.

And regarding Casimero, I'm not sure if Inoue will still fight him because he wasn't impress with the last fight of Casimero. So with my own speculation, I think the closest fighter he'll fight if he stay is Akhmadaliev whom Tapales had already beaten. Again, I think this is just another a walk in the park fight.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 26, 2023, 02:54:29 PM
A very responsive representative is what I like to see. Not that they'll create an ANN Thread and will just leave it behind, it's still nice to see if there's a representative that will constantly communicate with the community with their updates and promotions.

In any business, marketing and customer service is very important, creating an ANN thread is their way to communicate and build a community, so that's what I like to see. If they communite, it means they value the community a lot that they considered one of the reasons for their current success and in the future.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is highly uncertain on: December 25, 2023, 09:38:56 PM
some people believe that cryptocurrencies could play a more significant role in the future, it's challenged to paper money for using in future but is it really possible to beat paper money for Bitcoin ? Prediction about Bitcoin is more complicated rather other cryptocurrencies.will it possible entirely replace traditional paper money in the next 10 years where few countries already taken step and work for vision 2030.AI and others developed technology already worked in it and people accepted happily.Public acceptance will heavily influence in every invention. It's essential for me to understand what will happen if the paper money is out of Bank how people survive with new currency ?
Well, we don't have to complicate the situation because, in the first place, the creation of Bitcoin was not to replace paper money but just an option.
The challenge of Bitcoin adoption as a currency was due to the support of the government as these business owners can't afford to take the risk of accepting Bitcoin if not officially legalized. In the current position of a currency that seems really far from it, sad to see that only a few people have considered their Bitcoin used to buy stuff or pay bills while the majority of holders are just considering this as an investment.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 01:10:22 PM

Tapales is underestimated, that's not surprising at all as anyone who would fight Inoue would always end up a heavy underdog in the bookies market.

Right now all of Inoue's opponents in his weight division are underestimated because nobody comes close to beating him, Donaire was the closest opponent but on their second fight Inoue knocked him out, Tapales in his last fight, he did not show a performance that can equal Inoue's skill and power, I hope he can put a good fight and Inoue will not hurt him like he did to Donaire.
The fight will be held tomorrow, it is the best gift for both boxers, the winner takes everything, prestige, all the titles if the fight proves to be close there could be a rematch, so let's see how the fight will turn out to be I'm hoping that Tapales could be the one to give Inoue the toughest fight of his life or beat him

Tapales is no exemption of being part of the too underestimated opponents of Inoue. Judging by the betting odds of his fights, you can see how sportsbook sees Inoue as a heavy favorite, this kind of odds looks like a sure winner already.

Inoue is a -400 favorite vs Fulton
Inoue is a    -8,000 favorite vs Butler
Inoue is the -800 favorite vs Donaire (2).
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 25, 2023, 11:57:04 AM

My question now is are there any moral, ethical or legal obligation to bar a person from gambling after physically observing that he is mentally unstable?

No, you can " never judge the book by its cover".. That's the Dhar Mann vibes. But seriously, as long as the person is behaving, he should be allowed to gamble, it's entertainment after all, right? so everyone deserves to be entertain as long as he can pay the play.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 22, 2023, 08:07:31 PM
I just took the Bulls at -4.5 and I was right about that it's a good bet as the Bulls is riding high on a momentum win and beating the Spurs by almost 20 points.
Great decision, betting against the Spurs is the easiest way to win actually. As of now, they are again on a losing streak, currently at 3 but this will increase like the last time.

There could be some games tomorrow night that might be "easier" to predict,

Sixers vs Raptors
Nets vs Nuggets
GSW vs Washington

Sixers vs Raptors, I'll pass, the spread is too high, and I believe Raptors are capable of covering that and even upsetting the Sixers on the road.

And this;

Nets vs Nuggets and GSW vs Washington... I'm all for Nuggets and GSW here, with the spread of course, which is -4.5 and -12 respectively.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 22, 2023, 07:13:30 PM
Oh happy Friday. Today we get one of my favorite NBA matchups, the Sacramento Kings vs the Phoenix Suns. With the Suns still dealing with injuries the Kings are the favorites and they also have the better record. The Suns arguably have the better roster though, maybe even with their injuries, so I’m expecting a close game tonight.

Without KD, I doubt Suns can beat Kings that beat them badly before. Suns best chance is for Booker to become in perfect shape to provide a massive score that needed to catch with Kings aggressive. Without Book scoring, I doubt that they can give Kings a close fight with Fox and Sabonis duo is always very consistent with their game.

I will go for Kings on this match up due to KD absence. He is confirmed rule out for tonights game so no more surprise on this match.

Do you have a source telling that Durant won't be available against the Sacramento Kings?

I tried to search some injury update regarding Durant and I can't seen to find one, so I'm thinking maybe he'll play tonight. Maybe what @OgNasty has told about injury was Beal being out of the team, but Durant and Booker are likely gonna play, with that, I think they still have a decent chance of winning as Kings were coming from a blowout loss against the Celtics.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big buying opportunity might be on the horizon on: December 22, 2023, 01:07:24 PM
SEC approval about ETF has nothing to do with market sentiment, I'd rather believe that FUDs are more influential than this. I guess, it was time to stop thinking about ETF approval, we are tired of waiting and being hopeless. Besides, without ETF the market will increase, and halving will do the work.

Perhaps, I buy Bitcoin because I believe that it will continue to grow and give me profit. Many people out there are buying Bitcoin without thinking about ETF, therefore, let us stick to that thinking and continue buying potential coins.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 21, 2023, 09:59:26 PM
Indeed, volatility can be a great way to make money for people who understand how markets work and are willing to take on risk. You're right; acceptance is growing, and online transfers can be used in places where offline acceptance is still low.

When it comes to safety, your focus on being alert is very important. Yes, hacks are a problem, but as you said, they can be lessened by being careful and using strong security measures. Also, your measured view on how decentralized Bitcoin is is right on the mark. Even though not all sites that work with Bitcoin are decentralized, that doesnt change the good things that Bitcoin can do. You said it right—knowing and understanding the world of cryptocurrencies is key.
Without the volatility of the market, Bitcoin would never have gained such fame and attention. In fact, nobody had seen its potential before until the time that it booms after hitting the ATH and people started to talk about it.

No risk, No gain...
Understanding the risk is a part of investment which is why we should not force ourselves to invest if we can't do it. Despite the risk, people made a decision to invest in Bitcoin because there is a bigger earning potential than the other forms of investment and this drives people to accept and deal with it. Nothing is safe but hacking can be avoided if we secure our funds properly...
