361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why XRP Crash? on: December 24, 2020, 08:39:31 AM
What do you mean the market is stable? you can see in CMC that there's an ongoing bloodbath going on in the market right now. Almost all cryptocurrencies in the top 100 are down by more than 5% or even 10%. Aside from that, XRP is having a dispute with SEC. They just had the worst luck this month because they did some shady things this past few years and they are paying the price.
362  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Babagsak Pa Kaya? on: December 24, 2020, 07:38:02 AM

Though wag parin natin irurule-out ang regulatory risk.

363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sec vs Xripple and in the future vs BTC? Is it correct? on: December 24, 2020, 07:22:36 AM
XRP team should have seen this coming at their doorstep.
But this is too late for them. Remember, they opened their headquarter in Dubai recently.
They are trying to move away from their home base but still caught up with this lawsuit.
They should have done something before this happens.
Wonder how much they will fall in the market.

It's funny because they claimed to have expected SEC to move against them but looking at the situation, it seems that they aren't doing very well.

Quote
The lawsuit didn’t come as a surprise; Garlinghouse announced yesterday that the company expected the suit, and Ripple has already published its Wells response, a document that explains to the SEC that its actions were legal.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: A reward system for Covid Free people.... on: December 23, 2020, 02:10:23 PM
Also this sort of payment requires a regular thing and also stops people wanting to get tested.

But I think the government wouldn't let this happen so they will probably add a rule that people need to be tested first and wait for a period of time to get a reward. This reward system would actually force people to want the test.

But this reward system would be unfair to those who actually needs support which is the victims so I don't think it will work (unless they do the same with system with the victims).
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2021/2022 going to see a huge boom and crash like 2017 and 2013 on: December 23, 2020, 01:32:08 PM
This is what happened in 2013 with boom to $1000 Bitcoin followed by huge crash to $200 Bitcoin, and in 2017 boom to $20000 Bitcoin followed by huge crash to $3000 Bitcoin.

I really can't see any massive dumping happening in 2021 because compared to 2017, there was a huge scam events that happened in the past that completely reversed the trend of the market. Right now, we have the support of institutional money and more keeps on coming so I really doubt that there's going to be another 2017.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between XRP and XLM wish is best on: December 23, 2020, 01:03:59 PM
There's no future for XRP. Everyone is against this cryptocurrency so it would be wise to dump it now. It's even funny that both SEC and investors are witch hunting them.

I advice you to just go Bitcoin. More and more institution are trying to get their hands on the pie right which means smaller investors are eyeing Bitcoin too so expect positive trends lasting for a long time. We might even touch $50,000 just next year.

It is my opinion I don't see XLM potential coin because for me the better to invest is the XRP which is really potential and for sure many people will trust this coin that will rise in the future. Having XRP will possible for you to become rich you know why because the value is very low and once it pump like hundred dollars or if it's highest possible value if gonna happen your money will grow very high.

That's just wishful thinking. Stop luring more newbies into this scam coin.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to XRP market now that SEC is suing Ripple? on: December 23, 2020, 12:34:16 PM
Well, you can see for yourself here https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/xrp/usd

As you can see, XRP is not doing well right now. Best case scenario - they're going to get away with little to no money lost but reputation damaged and worst case scenario - exchanges delist them, to be honest, I expect the latter. I'm not going to be surprised if that really happen.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2020, 12:10:50 PM
This is one of the hardest decisions in the life of a bitcoin investors.

When bitcoin's price is in a bull run, it is really hard to make decisions, it is really hard to act because there are a lot of possible options to do.

That is true. Which is why there should be at least a planned percentage on how much we are going to take profit because along with those decisions, there's greed that will hinder us. I think greed is the hardest enemy especially during this times.

To be honest, it's wise to take profit now if you are a trader and bought below $20,000. At least a portion of your holdings if you need the fiat.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A little word of advice is enough for the wise on: December 22, 2020, 09:52:46 AM
do not be surprised if you are asked to pass KYC before you can withdraw your funds

The chance of this happening is slim I think. They would first announce that they will require KYC from now on and give ample time for people to withdraw their funds if they do not agree with KYC, at least that's what I've seen so far from most CEX. Like the case with STEX, they gave 1 month or so for people to decide before proceeding with KYC.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Uniswap platform gives unexpected gifts. Merry Christmas! on: December 22, 2020, 09:45:44 AM
Sorry, I can't provide Tx proof, believe it or not, but it's up to you. To be sure, I got a Christmas present this year.  Roll Eyes

and maybe I won't return it, because it's already mine. What if it's in your position man? I also wouldn't think you would return it?  Grin

It could've been an error, there was no announcement from Uniswap that there is a give away or another form of airdrop for this season. I wouldn't expect anyone in crypto to return what they have received since everything is anonymous. Congratulations on your Christmas gift, tho.

I'm pretty sure it's not an error. It's obvious that OP is trolling us with this to promote a shitcoin. If there really is an error in their server, they will advice their traders to stop trading for now to address this, but there's none.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: IF USDT would collapse what do you think will happen to the BTC price? on: December 21, 2020, 07:14:40 PM
I believe that if this happens we will see one of two things. Considering that most of the cryptocurrency transactions are associated with USDT, then we will not be able to quickly switch to a new stable coin, which means that the USDT will be exchanged for Bitcoin and other currencies, which will lead to a wild jump in their prices, and an equally rapid collapse in favor of other stable coins.

I believe so too. Altcoins like ETH, DOGE, or even XRP would have a sharp increase because they are the ones who are mostly being traded pairs in the market. Either that or investors would be forced to find an alternative stablecoin or an alternative exchanges that houses this alternative stablecoins. If not, then they would be forced to use fiats again.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn’t the correction happened yet? Or has it? on: December 21, 2020, 06:17:52 PM
Can't tell much. It's pretty obvious that we've had a little bump down today and this might be the correction that most people are waiting for. At this point, it's really hard to tell if BTC is going down since the trend is positive. We might not go down $20,000 again.

Well, you shouldn't worry too much about correction if you're a holder.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Received my first product purchased through bitcoin today on: December 21, 2020, 03:50:11 PM
That's really impressive. I've been also trying to buy stuff with Bitcoin online as of lately but not to this degree. It has always been being converted to fiat every I purchase with Bitcoin. Haven't seen any store that completely accepts Bitcoin as payment without being tied to fiat in my country so that's really impressive on your part.

Though I find those magazines kind of expensive.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 21, 2020, 03:25:27 PM
I had the same thoughts about my friends and colleagues in regretting themselves not buying Bitcoin early. I know how it feels not to grab the price while it’s still low. Even me myself, I regretted selling too early for quick profit and just remained it as USDT. However, if I could have hold it back then, I would have really enjoyed the pump and calling it the best Merry Christmas gift ever. The market is really unpredictable these days, as we may know that it may pump or dump anytime without warning.

It's okay though. The fact that you are here in the forum, supporting Bitcoin, and know its existence means you're already fortunate. Imagine if you didn't know Bitcoin before, our lives would have been much different.

At least OP had a change of heart now that Bitcoin has been getting a lot of attention from institutions and companies. Anyway, I heard that Trezor has been the most trusted hardware wallet out there so it's worth checking out.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Adam Back the real Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 20, 2020, 04:55:51 PM
Hotel? Trivago!

Again, there's no point talking about who Satoshi Nakamoto really is. First of all, there's just not enough evidence that Satoshi left for us to begin with except a few email and his engagement here in the forum. Even if he somehow got the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, there's not going to be much difference as the flow of Bitcoin is already in the hands of the community.

So why debunk anything? just let it be.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my safe word - Elon Musk on: December 20, 2020, 03:12:07 PM
I love his stand on cryptocurrencies. He's just memeing cryptocurrency but it's obviously a publicity stunt and it's effective. Elon musk is a living meme at this point. He knows what's trending and he knows how to gather attention to him. This is why Tesla has been gaining positive traction as of lately. I bet he's secretly buying cryptocurrency without making it public.

Look at how he meme the meme coin lol.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about altcoin long-term performance? on: December 20, 2020, 12:41:27 PM
It kinda suck that if you look that way but if you look at the start of this year, ETH had an initial price of $130 but look at the price right now, almost like 6x gained compared to Bitcoin. A year for me is considered long-term considering how volatile and fast the market in crypto is.

Anyway, that's only the case for the altcoins you've mentioned or altcoin who have been around for a very long time. Still, the price still depends on how the demand on the project is which is why some altcoins, even reputable ones, are dumping. Nonetheless, there were a lot of altcoins out there that gain more than Bitcoin or even more than ETH at the start of this year.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Us government about to auction 1.6billon worth bitcoin on: December 20, 2020, 06:19:48 AM

If this is actually true ,what is the US government actually trying to prove ?
With the increase recent increase in price the still want to auction 69,370 bitcoin.
Your thoughts on these.

this is too dangerous. what the American government has done clearly violates the code of ethics for bitcoin owners. auctioned in large quantities. while the market experienced a sizeable increase. This means that so far the US government has deliberately detained the confiscated bitcoins and took advantage of when the bitcoin price rose, then held an auction.

They don't care about that. They don't even care much about cryptocurrency. They can do whatever they want with those Bitcoin without considering anything since they're can and nobody can stop them. We can only hope that those Bitcoin gets into the right hands. It's better than US holding that amount of Bitcoin.

Anyway, I doubt that there will be massive dumping. Most likely these bought Bitcoin in the auction are going to get hold.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 19, 2020, 05:11:24 PM
I don't get it though, what do you expect from an unknown seller in the dark web? but the most questionable part is, who's buying this!? I mean it can't be the common people since most don't even know how to enter the dark web. It's probably some rich dudes who wants to try their luck or desperate enough to actually buy this vaccines.

This is kinda dangerous though because the fact that it's from unknown source, these vaccines are most likely not safe.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not everyone will agree with Bitcoin, you should know this! on: December 19, 2020, 04:28:00 PM
To be honest, they are actually supporting Bitcoin by saying they are not supporting Bitcoin, how is that? by making Bitcoin more publicized! Guys like him only makes Bitcoin more popular though so it's a win-win for Bitcoin either way.

IIRC, there's a gold supporter who's negative towards Bitcoin yet 50% of his twitter post are about Bitcoin lol (Forgot his name though).
