I'd say find a trusted member on this forum and trade with them - just beware of the incredible number of scammers out there!

The fees seem pretty high but this is definitely another step in the right direction!

If only I knew I'm keen to see what's going to happen when Zerocoin comes in to play alongside Anoncoin.

Think it's pretty cool what you're trying to achieve here, keep us posted with progress!

Would be keen - just looking on your trust, you just bought 22 BTC on the 10th of this month?
Would you accept escrow?

I've a had similar issues with Bitstamp - luckily mine came during verification stage. What this 'company' does not seem to understand is that in the country I live it is impossible to get a proof of address document. Electric and water bills are not sent in a persons name and banks don't send statements as they do in many countries - I have an address on my drivers license but no, not acceptable - avoid them like the plague!!!!!!

People should simply abandon Gox until they get their act together - it could be very useful if cashing out was resolved - how hard can it be to transfer funds to a bank account?

Well congratulations to the winner but that being said that has to be the most unimaginative name anyone could have ever come up with. Fingers crossed it won't stick!

I've been using Cryptsy for ages now and have never had an issue that has not been quickly resolved

I think it really is down to you which idea you go for - only you know where your strengths/weaknesses lie and what may work for one does not mean it will work for the other

All this being said we could do with an easy way to buy BTC for debit card!
|

Perhaps you may find a buyer at that price if the bar was still loaded, but this is just crazy.
Best of lunch anyway.

We need people to support bitcoin and get on board with bitcoin. Don't think about potential gains, think about the greater good

There seem to be no suitable options in this poll, sad as I firmly believe each unit should a different name

It's good that BTC is becoming more widely used however the price may suffer in the immediate future due to the dumping of BTC back on to the market.

I'd say 83,213 kg - based on nothing but pure guesswork

Perhaps the negatives of the argument will only be short term but bear in mind at the moment people who buy with BTC with companies such as Overstock are in essence exchanging their BTC for USD. This can't be said in any other way.

Fully agree with the OP here. I made the same point a few weeks ago, if the companies accepting BTC then use this BTC to pay their overheads this will be a step in the right direction. What they're doing now could cause BTC to collapse.
Let's say 1000 BTC was spent everyday all of which was being dumped back on to the market there will be less buyers for BTC as it becomes a pointless exercise. Lots of people using BTC to buy going to one company who then sell the BTC for USD, where are the new buyers for this BTC coming from?

I've turned about .01-.02 btc gathered from alt giveaways into 1 bitcoin (estimated portfolio value from cryptsy) and thats with all of my holdings suffering from the alt coin drop currently happening. Can we call it a crash yet?
That's pretty good going How long did that take you to achieve? I put 0.1 BTC in to Cryptsy and it's now 0.27 BTC after 2 long months!

Good idea, another way to spend BTC. I just wish there was a big electronics supplier accepting it.
Soon! Hopefully 2014 will be the year we can by things we actually want with BTC
