361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: UK PEOPLE! WHERE DO YOU CASH OUT / PURCHASE FROM! on: January 11, 2014, 11:32:14 AM
I'd say find a trusted member on this forum and trade with them - just beware of the incredible number of scammers out there!
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Bitcoin vault offering insurance on: January 11, 2014, 11:29:57 AM
The fees seem pretty high but this is definitely another step in the right direction!
363  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC is ok whats next??? Like to invest in future on: January 11, 2014, 11:17:19 AM
If only I knew  Wink

I'm keen to see what's going to happen when Zerocoin comes in to play alongside Anoncoin.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Decentralization Fund - now launching on: January 11, 2014, 10:35:40 AM

365  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: wts .5 BTC on: January 11, 2014, 08:32:05 AM
Would be keen - just looking on your trust, you just bought 22 BTC on the 10th of this month?

Would you accept escrow?
366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitstamp – a fraud or run by a bunch of pubescent teenagers? Be aware!! on: January 11, 2014, 08:26:40 AM
I've a had similar issues with Bitstamp - luckily mine came during verification stage. What this 'company' does not seem to understand is that in the country I live it is impossible to get a proof of address document. Electric and water bills are not sent in a persons name and banks don't send statements as they do in many countries - I have an address on my drivers license but no, not acceptable - avoid them like the plague!!!!!!
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage --- BITSTAMP---->MTGOX on: January 11, 2014, 08:00:13 AM
People should simply abandon Gox until they get their act together - it could be very useful if cashing out was resolved - how hard can it be to transfer funds to a bank account?
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the 0.0001 BTC unit - Final Poll on: January 11, 2014, 07:54:35 AM
Well congratulations to the winner but that being said that has to be the most unimaginative name anyone could have ever come up with. Fingers crossed it won't stick!
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most trustworthy exchange site? on: January 11, 2014, 07:38:03 AM
I've been using Cryptsy for ages now and have never had an issue that has not been quickly resolved  Smiley
370  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which of these ideas may turn a profit six months from now? on: January 11, 2014, 07:26:06 AM
I think it really is down to you which idea you go for - only you know where your strengths/weaknesses lie and what may work for one does not mean it will work for the other  Smiley
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do YOU want Bitcoin to do for you in the coming years? on: January 11, 2014, 04:12:03 AM
All this being said we could do with an easy way to buy BTC for debit card!
372  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 100BTC Casascius bar S1 Hologram error--- 500BTC bar 1 of 2 ever made by Mike C. on: January 11, 2014, 03:45:54 AM
Perhaps you may find a buyer at that price if the bar was still loaded, but this is just crazy.

Best of lunch anyway.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should I buy Bitcoins instead of PeerCoins? on: January 11, 2014, 03:38:55 AM
We need people to support bitcoin and get on board with bitcoin. Don't think about potential gains, think about the greater good  Smiley
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the 0.0001 BTC unit - Final Poll on: January 10, 2014, 07:56:33 AM
There seem to be no suitable options in this poll, sad as I firmly believe each unit should a different name  Embarrassed
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com's News on Accepting Bitcoin, Underwhelming Price Boost. on: January 10, 2014, 07:52:10 AM
It's good that BTC is becoming more widely used however the price may suffer in the immediate future due to the dumping of BTC back on to the market.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many kilos of sugar with 1 BTC in 2045? on: January 10, 2014, 04:53:01 AM
I'd say 83,213 kg - based on nothing but pure guesswork  Smiley
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merchants that accept Bitcoin and settle in USD are driving the price down on: January 10, 2014, 04:26:13 AM
Perhaps the negatives of the argument will only be short term but bear in mind at the moment people who buy with BTC with companies such as Overstock are in essence exchanging their BTC for USD. This can't be said in any other way.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merchants that accept Bitcoin and settle in USD are driving the price down on: January 10, 2014, 04:10:22 AM
Fully agree with the OP here. I made the same point a few weeks ago, if the companies accepting BTC then use this BTC to pay their overheads this will be a step in the right direction. What they're doing now could cause BTC to collapse.

Let's say 1000 BTC was spent everyday all of which was being dumped back on to the market there will be less buyers for BTC as it becomes a pointless exercise. Lots of people using BTC to buy going to one company who then sell the BTC for USD, where are the new buyers for this BTC coming from?
379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage alt movement to boost BTC holdings on: January 09, 2014, 01:58:14 PM
I've turned about .01-.02 btc gathered from alt giveaways into 1 bitcoin (estimated portfolio value from cryptsy) and thats with all of my holdings suffering from the alt coin drop currently happening. Can we call it a crash yet?
That's pretty good going  Smiley How long did that take you to achieve? I put 0.1 BTC in to Cryptsy and it's now 0.27 BTC after 2 long months!
380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Polish retail Wallpaper shop taking BTC, LTC and HBN on: January 09, 2014, 01:51:23 PM
Good idea, another way to spend BTC. I just wish there was a big electronics supplier accepting it.

Soon! Hopefully 2014 will be the year we can by things we actually want with BTC  Smiley
