Hi im a newbie in the cryptocurrency world so i have some questions:
How can I buy some NEM (XEM?) ?
How i store them ?
Do you have a guide a something like that  Cheesy ?

I just go to get supernode IP, when run wallet in remote mode and hit remote harvesting button.
Once it will harvest  and it will be enabled this is all.
You may git few times/check few supernode and you will find slot.

If you want permamet you will have to talk to with supernode operator to add your private delegated key to config so he will
harvest for you this is possible to do without restarting every new release but you need supernode operator to add you.
Kinda weird this isn't mentioned anywhere on NEM site.
Thanks.

Its here Smiley

To anyone thinking its a pump, we are seriously undervalued right now.

What does DASH do that is so special?

NEM is much more powerful, along with much more speed, reliability and functionality.

We should be at least $300M marketcap minimum.

$1 billion should be achievable in the short term.

And BTW...

XEM has a new ATH
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 18, 2017, 05:17:54 AM
I just cant get over how the bitcoin devs are too proud to think it does not need improving and fixing many issues such as block size (which was always meant to be larger) etc.

BTC is a dinosaur.

DASH is the same Dinosaur with a few upgrades and Band-aids stuck over it.

NEM is a whole new blockchain platform designed with the future in mind.

Wont be long before people catch on.

Can somebody explain if private NEM blockchain affects the public one we use.
Are they on a completely separate network and don't share transaction fees with all the public harvesters?
When Hitachi starts using NEM, will it be a private or public blockchain they use?

Private chains do not share transactions/blocks/fees with our public network.
And Hitachi sure is using a private chain, at least for testing.
So how will that help with growing this blockchain?
Everyone is saying "Hitachi new 150 mil users, to the moon etc." but it doesn't even matter in the end. Because all the serious tech companies are going to use the private version which doesn't do anything to increase the value of XEM and share bigger rewards for nodes.

Yes please explain how this will benefit us.

My understanding is that all private blockchain networks will eventually need cross communication publicly and this is where NEM can be employed to facilitate cross private [Suspicious link removed]munication
Yeah maybe. I would still appreciate if someone from staff or development team could clarify this.
I would also appreciate a verification from a dev or any staff member of NEM
This is only referring to between NEM and Mijin chains.
This could never work between other chains like BTC, DASH and ETH, etc as the devs for each platform would have to work together to make it possible.
Besides there is no need to communicate with dinosaur chains, by that time, they would be all dead anyway.

Blockchain 1.0 is antiquated. Bitcoin's 7 tps max, scaling issues, possible fork creating a bitcoin #1 and bitcoin #2, etc...

Even DASH is basically Blockchain 1.0 with band-aids slapped over it.

It ceases to amaze me that the Bitcoin devs have never bothered to make improvements.

They could have at least done something that DASH did.
Its almost at the point of no return for them to fix it...

One thing I don't understand about nem, maybe you guys can help explain it.
On our best days, we may hit $1 million in volume.. normally it's around $500,000 give or take.

All the other coins in the top 15 are at least $2 million volume, others are at 15, 28, 11, and 5 million

Why is the volume so low for a coin with a market cap of over $100 million? Not a whole lot of buying and selling going on obviously, so how is the cap so high?
or is that based on the value of the coin? Like if nem were valued at $1 each, our trade volume would be tens of millions, but since it isn't, volume is only 500k?

Most of the top coins you can trade on margin at polo.

NEM doesnt have this yet ... we're waiting for CryptoApex  Cheesy

zero inflation
and incentive to move coins out of exchanges (supernodes)
this lead to an enviroment that is less optimized for speculation/trading and more optimized for build a economy liquidity based on real services
this also means in fact when the actual walls are broken everything is possible.....

NEM can raise to the point when supernode owners start to sell their coins because they cant resist the marketprice

i dont know how high that will be

for me thats insane high.....

and at that insane high alone the supernode income alone make me happy so no need to sell the supernode base coins

By that stage we wont even need supernode rewards because the blocks should be full of far more XEM with the increased volume. Smiley

Can any one set out the differences / advantages disadvantaged of NEM vs DASH

BTC can handle only around 3-4TPS, DASH can do about 200, XEM can handle thousands

Careful there Smiley The private chain (Mijin) is ~ 4000 TPS currently with beta Catapult tests. The current public chain is hard capped at around 5 TPS or something I think but is theoretically capable of 15 or so but would need to be unlocked with a hard fork. Once catapult arrives, there should be some sort of measured increase in performance in the public network work once some of those features are folded in.

My question is if Mijin is based in NEM design, then is there any reason why NEM cant achieve speeds close to Mijin either?
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 15, 2017, 12:04:53 AM
ok thanks sounds good

one thing though

"Dash masternode will last forever and pay Dash while NEM masternode to live need NEM to be used widely"

wouldn't a master node that last for ever be better as it allows people to hang in there during down turns in usage

Please dont tell me that is quoted from Evan! lol

Looks like your quote is from some DASH fanboy.

There is no such thing as a NEM masternode, and if he/she is referring to a supernode, well there is not alot of difference is there? lol
Both types of nodes have to hold an amount of the currency, DASH masternodes being 1000 DASH, and for a NEM supernode, 3Mil XEM.

Dont know what they are even trying to get at! lol
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 14, 2017, 08:43:55 PM
As much as I'd like to applaud this new rise of NEM, I simply can't because it is artificial.

P&Ds have found NEM and it is being propped up on a false wall set up if you look at the exchanges (ahem, Poloniex).

This can be devastating for a coin when new people start discovering it and buying into these artificial highs creating future trust issues, we're not here for a short sighted profit. A lot of us are here to see NEM rise above all and find real utility in the real world.

Just a small observation because past times these walls were not set up, and now one appeared blocking a lot of otherwise naturally occuring trades.

Being critical of all coins, even the ones we are vested in is good for the growth of Bitcoin and all others alike.

I would like to see a natural rise of NEM built on a foundation made of marble and concrete, not a foundation of popsicle sticks.

I think ours has been very slow when you compare to the likes of DASH and ETH.
Those are too far high a rise for my liking and would consider those to be pumps, and any that bought in at that time will get burnt.

I dont see our new low being any less than $100 million for the time being.

If anything we are seriously undervalued so should be sitting at least $300 million right now.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: March 14, 2017, 03:44:48 AM
Just go with Monero, it has a big potential after the ETF rejection. People tend to make it as substitute and treats it as a subordinate of bitcoin. Well for me, this has the potential to keep on pumping and of course ETH will still remain always on my list.

Cryptonote coins are such a joke and non-user friendly its beyond a joke.
All my mined monero is worthless because the pools paid me out in small chunks.

NEM is very worth looking at right now while its still cheap.

What is the story with the official NEM app?

It was originally released on Android, but the iOS one seemed to have a setback for some reason.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 11, 2017, 10:40:34 AM

Your right, NEM is not mentioned, but people are speculating that they are looking at NEM (we sure hope so! lol)
but on the poloniex trollbox today there were others saying that russia had been looking at NEM.

Will wait and see I guess. Anythings possible.
Russia is the enemy of crypto and not a good idea, their regulator out there looking for a victim
Well I kinda agree.

Me thinks they would want to create their own blockchain anyway.

Not that the russians would be able to mess around with NEM Cheesy

I dont know if its really even important to get granted the ETF, would probably be a bad thing as it means the banks are happy with it.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 10, 2017, 09:05:22 PM
Huge buy waves on ETH and BTC, buying cheap before ETF approval [TOMORROW!]

How that would affect XEM price tomorrow?

I think its too unpredictable to say.
