361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 12, 2023, 06:42:19 PM
Both 1/4 final games today were really exciting. Maybe Australia - France wasn't most beautiful, 120 minutes without goals, but penalty shootout was amazing. I preferred to see France going to semifinal, but after all, happy for Australia and all people who support them.
Colombia joyrney ended today. They were underdogs and achieved more than anyone expected. And even today, they gave good fight for England. It's bad for them that they didn't managed to keep lead for a bit longer, that would give more pressure for England.

I was expecting France to advance into the next round but that just didnt happen and Australia was able to hold on and get the win in the match and go into the semis and will go up against England that is an obvious favorite in that match. Plus Australia played more then 120minutes in this match so they will be tired for the semi final for sure.
Finally it's like lucky day for Australia, if not this win couldn't have happened against France. Majority of the viewers were expecting and had the belief that France will win easily, but the match went closer from the start to the end. Lets see if Australia can continue its winning and reach the finals. England is the favourite against Colombia and from the beginning of the match England leads and Colombia somehow made a goal at the last moment. I think the finals will be between Spain and England.

West Indies vs India
Today is the 4th T20 match which these two teams will play in Lauderhill. As everyone know that at this time the series is at 2-1. And if India will win remaining 2 matches so they will win the series. Otherwise West Indies can win the series by winning only one match.
It's really interesting to see how indian team played so maturely and spectacularly, changes of young talent Y.Jasiwal really help them to boost this moral and increase thier confidence because from recent previous matches performance they really lose thier confidence due to which they lose too easy victories, now both opening pair batter scored more than 130+ partnership with a half half century of both talented player. No doubt opponent side has scored a decent defendable target but today indian side performance almost crushed everything, it's really important for india to comeback other they will lose the entire T20 series which will be really disappointed but now they comeback and soon after match will equal the series by 2-2.

India completed the target set by West Indies without a wicket today. Jaiswal and Shubman Gill performed so well that West Indies responded well. In other respects too, the Indian team was the best as the West Indies players were not allowed to stay on the field for long. If the West Indies were forced to score more runs today, India would have packed up the runs in no time. A match was held today to the surprise of the audience.

Looking upon the target set by West Indies team, it looks like some West Indies will win the match as they defended Indian with a lower target. It was real surprise, and both the young players came to the crease with a mind to play aggressive shots and Jaiswal started with the four on the very first ball of the innings. This form continued till the last with the contribution of 84*(51) runs from Jaiswal and 77(47) runs from Shubman Gill. Match have been won in 17 overs with 18 balls left. A big comeback from India in the series where West Indies have got great opportunities.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks offering investing in Bitcoin on: August 11, 2023, 10:41:50 PM
Banking system try to suppress the bitcoin over a decade, but it was not possible one.Because the bitcoin had root the world economy now. Most of the people from various country had their investment in the bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. So the economy activities was purely depend on the cryptocurrency now. Most of the big shot had their money in the cryptocurrency,Elon was the big example for this.He made the huge influence on the doge coin.Doge coin  had huge investment for certain period of time.
People were looking for better things from the traditional money. The same have made people to go towards bitcoin and other investments. Bitcoin investment is always the best and people should have the patience to enjoy the goodness out of bitcoin. This doesn't happen with people who who lack the market movements as well as the people who lack knowledge about bitcoin. Now the awareness and education have given space for people to be aware and hard users of bitcoin. This is why banks have begun and the understood that delaying the acceptance would cost them big

Personal milestones are never bigger than team objectives. Hardik did the right thing. If Tilak wanted to reach the 50, then he should have kept strike. Why should Hardik risk a win for his team, so that Tilak is able to reach his half-century? Anyway, now the series shifts to USA. Remaining two matches will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill. I never understand ICC's and BCCI's passion with USA. Even after two decades of failed efforts, they still believe that cricket will become popular in that country.

BTW, the useless T20I series between New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates starts next week, with the first match being played on 17th August. Teams like New Zealand never plays any matches against associate nations like Nepal and Netherlands. UAE is special, since they have a lot of petro-dollars.
From your opinion, I am feeling it's biased because we need to encourage these big for playing against these associates which is important for the increase of quality and also these associates need experience as well which will helps them for the long run, and it's all ICC duty to create opportunities for these all teams on same level just not for the UAE as they are special here if they have better mind then surely a three teams tourney is also going to be good for them with having team like the Netherlands or Nepal, but they are not working on things like these and just giving opportunity to the UAE which is already having many luxuries like adopted players and not suitable domestic infrastructure as well.
It is a known fact that ICC stands in favour of the teams that have got good sum of money. Along with the same it is controlled by few cricket boards and they take decision based on the some rules that brings money for them. ICC should be independent, only then it can work without any interruption from cricket boards that are placed high. If not when making arrangements adding a team nearby could've been done. This could solve the problem, rather than a bilateral series it would be a tri series and a third team also gets an opportunity to improve their ability.

Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya batted responsibly from No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. They will try to maintain this consistency in the next match as well.
Hardik Pandya denied a well deserved half century of Tilak Varma when he smashed the ball for a six, he should have given Tilak Varma the chance to score his half century as he is a youngster and give him the opportunity to score the winning run and thereby reaching his milestone of half century and instead he wanted to go for a six and finish the match, so never say it was a responsible batting from Hardik Pandya  Grin.

Hardik shouldn't risk the win of his team for a player's personal milestone which is true. If there's no more balls left or the balls remaining is very low to score the remaining runs then it is fine. Two more overs left and Hardik could've given an opportunity. Throughout the series contribution from Tilak Varma is really big and the top scorer in every match and a needed one considering the match situations.

BTW, the useless T20I series between New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates starts next week, with the first match being played on 17th August. Teams like New Zealand never plays any matches against associate nations like Nepal and Netherlands. UAE is special, since they have a lot of petro-dollars.
Everywhere it is money that gives them the opportunity. Looking upon the upcoming match schedule of India vs West Indies and the New Zealand vs United Arab Emirates T20 series clearly pictures it.

For the upcoming T20 series against South Africa, it is Steve Smith to open for the team Australia. The chief selector of Australia Cricket team George Bailey have announced it. This change have been made keeping in mind the next year's T20 World Cup. Steve Smith have good records and stands as a solid performer in ODI and test format cricket have now got into the shortest form of cricket. During the announcement Bailey also mentioned about his performance in the Big Bash and expect similar thing with the international games.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 08, 2023, 11:40:40 PM
The only way to stop online gambling is, you must have strong self-control and strong desire. An alternative is to find a high-paying job. Most gamblers are playing because of profit. They want a higher income, more money. High paying job could fulfill that, not just that, a high-paying job will surely keep you busy. For me, these two is the most effective way to stop gambling but it still depends on someone's behavior.
Thats the real reason with most of the gamblers. When one have got a high paying job, surely he/she will not think of gambling. It mostly knocks our mind when we're in need of money. As stated when you're into a good job with good pay, surely you'll allocated with lots and lots of responsibilities. This will surely keep him/her busy and so there is no need to find an alternative to spend time. Strong desire and keeping ourselves busy could limit our gambling habit, but the complete stopping happens once after experiencing massive loss. From here majority used to correct themselves while some used to go for more with borrowed money and go into big debts.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: August 08, 2023, 11:34:59 PM
Today the market have moved good. For a long the price was around $29k and today it had gone closer to $30k which is a good rise in the price. People are more positive with the price movements. The small market progress have made people to think of reaching $40k. We'll see increase in the price over the coming weeks, but $40k isn't assured. In between there is more chance for price correction. Over the price correction the price could move on the bullish or it can get back to the bear market reaching the price from which it started to bounce.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Are short-term rentals to blame for the lack of housing? on: August 08, 2023, 11:29:43 PM
It is universal that the house rentals at the high around the tourist region/cities. House owners will always try to make the best out of it, because for most of the people residing in those locations their lives were dependent on tourism. Those are like seasons, for some time period they'll have good business and for the rest of the year they need to manage with what is being earned earlier.

Housing costs have increased and this is not just because of the short -term rental service providers. The rich ones were also part of it. Nowadays gated communities were the demanding one among the rich people. On the price order the rise in the value of gated properties will surely have atleast small impact over the small properties around the region.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 08, 2023, 11:19:04 PM
Only the end users weren't known. If we know a particular bitcoin address belongs to a specific person then we'll be able to see what all the transactions had taken place. The network is transparent in such a way, and the level of anonymity depends based on the user to making use of different services available. When it comes to bitcoin the intermediate is removed, which means the controller of our funds were removed and we've got the freedom to use it whenever required.

Even before the existence of bitcoin there is crime around the world. The number of crimes connected with cryptocurrencies were far less compared to the crimes that had happened with USD and other traditional currencies. Most of the time to make people get into fear the negative part of bitcoin were much projected.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: August 07, 2023, 05:59:26 PM
2023 is still more than 4 months and I think there is still a chance for rising, moreover many people are optimistic that the halving day that will occur at the beginning of 2024 will make a big impact at the end of this year so I am optimistic that the end of the year can reach at least 200% of the price now or about $58k.
It's hard to predict what could really happen. Think back to March 2020 when the price dropped tripple in a few days. That was just before the halving. Of course many believe that in 2023 the price could rise, but as long as resistance is not broken there could be a fall at any time.
It looks like the resistance won't break throughout the year. As we've got the halving to take place in the upcoming year, we can expect the price to be moving at the lower margin. Only then it is possible to reach new ATH price by halving. Till date the new ATH price have been reached by every halving. This time also such thing is expected. Many were expecting 6 digit value, which is possible and something beyond limits could go down in value. So, my prediction is bitcoin to reach around $80k by halving and for the rest of 2023 we'll be sitting between $30000 and $45000.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: New Research found Work from home workers to be less productive on: August 07, 2023, 05:27:36 PM
When one is committed to work from home he/she will be assigned with the proper eight hours of job. This keeps them productive, but these days work from home were like 24X7 work. This makes them really unproductive. Apart from that some companies have cut salaries, and the same will make them work according to the pay. Without reason employees won't go low in their productive work. Now most of the employees have got adopted to the work from home life style and so they don't concentrate effectively which could also be a reason for going low in productive work.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 07, 2023, 05:19:14 PM
People don't have statistics to play gamble and that is why some of the gambling enthusiasm do experience (shege in gambling... meaning much loses in a gambling) so it's good for gamblers to know a specific amount that should go out in their wallet weekly or monthly.

When you check the statistics of who is on constant gambling of different kind of gambling either casino, poker game and other gambling games, should check the funds that goes out of them monthly because of gambling and they funds they received in a month and annually in gambling if they are of the same amount.

If we planned our gambling bet we should not be going crazy after when we have not meet up our target in gambling, what i expected every gambler is to make table of how much should be spend in gambling and how much should go investment, because money we loses in gambling continuously if we gather it together it will sum up to start a little business. I'm say play gamble with experience, don't use all you have for casino gambling

     -    If you remember what most people say here who often give advice to those who gamble in the casino that "You should only gamble with the amount you can afford to lose" with advice like this not all gamblers have the same amount of money which we enter into gambling.

There are other rich people who will deposit large sums of money to make sure they gamble at the casino, and others who are not rich will only deposit a small amount for sure and there are others who will venture to grow the small amount of money they gamble with., you got what that means?
In gambling, most people suggest that you gamble with the amount of money you can afford to lose. But if a person is rich then he will have more money to gamble and he will want to try to win more bets within a short period of time. And those who are not rich, when they go to gamble, they gamble with the amount of money they have in various casino platforms. It is sure that a gambler always gambles with the intention of winning the bet but most of the time they lose the bet and go broke. Those who gamble with small amounts of money gamble with the goal of increasing their amount of money, but the lucky ones can only reach this goal. So for gambling, if a person wants to make more money with less money, he should gamble with experience. But most of the times depending on a person's gambling luck, very few people can turn small amount of money into big money.

Gambling with experience will not help one get lucky and win big prizes. it depends on how luck favors the gambler, if there is no luck there will be no profit. Someone who is rich with a lot of money also needs to think about how much maximum money is used for gambling, because that can cause losses as you say. Adjust gambling to the financial level, but regardless of the financial level, all must be managed properly. Gambling is not only a financial growth, but also just entertainment.
Experienced gamblers will be aware of the different strategies and know the tricks and tips to keep themselves under control. Luck is the main factor that bring win to a gambler. As said it is always good to spend based on the financial level and the same will make life comfortable without much impact due to gambling. Experience in sports betting will help with increasing the winning chance, and however we take care of our gambling habit we'll lose control which should be avoided for better gambling experience.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 07, 2023, 12:55:10 PM
Quote
India lost the first two matches of the 5-match T20 series. Shame on them I'd say. The performance of the West Indies team is now erratic. Still, this team is good enough in the T20 format. India management should have formed a more experienced team. India was defeated by their own fault. I will be happy if India loses the series.
Yes West indies One day and test performance was worst then Zimbabwe but in t20 field they are still very dangerous as they beat best indian team in both games. Now india will he enter with new strategy like England did in ashes to win this series.

West Indies team is slightly better in the T20 format. But since now the performance of their players is erratic. So I thought India will win the series easily. But due to the bad performance of the batsmen, India lost the first two matches of the series. BCCI should stop their experiment. Otherwise India will lose the series badly.

West Indies confirmed a 2-0 lead after a thrilling finish, and India faced consecutive loss due to overconfidence. It's now fact that without their regular players, India's performance is way below average. Hardik Pandya's team suffered a second loss in a row in the 5-match T20I series vs West Indies. Can West Indies get the series confirm in tomorrow's third T20I against India? I'd confidently say YES.
My inner feelings were the same, that West Indies will win the third T20 match and confirm its series win. Once after the first match loss, thought that India will make a comeback and perform well. It was the same performance in the second match. Most of the batsmen in the squad were power hitters and none had contributed good other than Tilak Varma who had played to his part in both the matches. When these players weren't able to win a match for the nation, no use of these players being part of IPL and making history.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2023, 12:45:37 PM
When traveling to a new country, it's important to be mindful of its unique cultural practices and customs, and Qatar is no exception. We must show respect for their traditions and way of life. However, with the world becoming increasingly diverse, it's essential to recognize that some countries may have different standards and cultures than what we're accustomed to. For example, while drinking beer may be allowed with no restrictions in many places, it's not permitted in Qatar due to religious beliefs. In my opinion, FIFA should consider reevaluating their decision to allow countries with such strict cultural limitations to host the World Cup. It's crucial to ensure that the event is accessible and enjoyable for people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

The world cup is a transnational competition so FIFA should consider other people's cultures or beliefs before giving hosting rights to nations. Most of the most influential or longtime sponsors of the world cup are breweries or brewing companies. The world cup in Qatar made them lose their advertisement slots. FIFA was not too concerned about the implication because Qatar had money to compensate for FIFA's financial losses. But the religious and cultural beliefs affected the world cup negatively. Host nations should be flexible during the world cup period and they can continue with their laws after the world cup.

After all Saudi Arabian government permitted Cristiano Ronaldo to cohabit with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez because they wanted him to play football in the country. This means that these laws can be readjusted or relaxed to suit world cup fans. These laws should be restricted to only the nationals of the country and those that have the same religious or cultural beliefs. But fans with different religious views or cultural beliefs should be allowed to enjoy the world cup without restrictions.

Yes, that is one example that rules can be bended for certain situations like Ronaldo being exempted with the rules because he is not a Muslim, and the league needs him to bring success on the club and the whole SPL. I bet FIFA have learned a thing or two about what happened in the last World Cup and that made them think that certain scenarios should be exempted even if a Muslim country will host it because it is expected that all kind of people with different culture will flock towards them to be entertained and enjoy the event.

As far as I can see it, only two things will happen;

1. FIFA learned their lesson and will not let these Muslim countries to host another FIFA event in the future
2. FIFA will still let these said countries to host an event given that they will flexible enough to accept that there might be some rules that needed to be bend

Either way, FIFA is still on the winning side because there are still many countries out there that can host an event successfully without having some problems. A country that is more open and can give freedom to the people that will flock to their country to watch the said event.

I won't personally blame Islam and other Muslim countries for what happened in Qatar because even though Saudi Arabia is a Muslim country but they give freedom to the people who visit their country and other than some religious places they didn't take hard about Islam rules in other places.
However, I think it's safe to don't let Muslim countries host the world cup anymore or at least ask them to make some special rules during the World Cup.

None can be blamed. As the countries follow Islamic law it looks more restricted than the European countries. Even the Qatar government made some arrangements so that audience from every part of the world enjoy watching football same as they enjoy in their home countries. Such decisions of not letting Muslim countries to host world cup is bad decision, they can be provided with some set of rules that need to be agreed being the host country.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 06, 2023, 11:42:21 PM
I think on the current situation of things across the globe, I would sincerely advise parents should give birth to a number of kids they can bring up in consonance with their income.
Because as an average income earner, you shouldn't give birth to children you cannot feed or take good care of.
gone are those days you need people to help work in your farm as parents.
Today, you have to spend money on school fees, clothing, electricity bills, feeding until they are up to an age to start staying on their own.
I feel rich people, can afford to give birth to as many as they want because the economy favours them.
Agreed, the global situation need to be considered before giving birth to a child. It isn't a task that could end in a short time period. Growing a child requires additional earning, compared to the past there is good awareness around and people have been giving birth accordingly. In my country the number of child have reduced to two and over time this could move to one as the parents are thinking wise and doesn't want their child to suffer. In the past the children grew by their own and now those opportunities have shrunk due to the difference in the parenting. Everything is on a cyclic process, and things could take a change with time.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can 1 satoshi be worth $1 in the future? on: August 06, 2023, 11:34:59 PM
How many centuries will it take for bitcoin to hit $100 million, I know it's crazy!

There is no higher expectation for sat = $1 but this is too far away so capitalists must be higher than anything in the world, I can't guess too far with this crazy prediction.

This may happen one day, we never know the economic conditions of the world and what is going to happen after 50+ years. Technically and theoretically it is possible for 1 Sat to reach 1$ and we cannot deny that equation.

Being optimistic about BitcoinBTC, I hope that Satoshi reaches this value very quickly in our lives. It would be great to see this bitcoin prices on these levels which for now seems almost impossible.
We need to be realistic with the calculation. As stated in one of the previous post the value could go high above cents, but this isn't an easy thing to reach a dollar. In my understanding such a growth could happen only if every country around the world agree with the one currency system and start using it. This is really impossible thing, so 1sat to reach a dollar is something unrealistic in my view.
379  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: August 06, 2023, 10:29:47 PM
I thank God that I am not alone on this topic. Wiwo I smile!!! I am not a chronic/addicted gambler but I know very well that gambling is beyond money and fun and it is only a real gamblers understand what I mean. I have seen and I have heard things about gambling so when we talked about gambling, it is very deep.
But more also I understand your point because sometime when someone is addicted it can lead the person into doing so many things that their ordinarily will not do and some time their can go over board just to satisfy their greed.
You have just said it all. Not that fun and winning of money is exempted but addicted gamblers take gambling to another dimension which they themselves too don't even know themselves again. They do everything to satisfy themselves in the process of gambling.
Addicted gambling alone isn't beyond fun and money, even the common gambler spending few dollars focus on winning little money. Just because they were able to win little money they come back and spend, if not the gambling platforms used to be really down. In my understanding gambling is considered as choice for fun and this could be something around 10% which means without money gambling isn't effective.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: August 06, 2023, 10:23:56 PM
most people, of course, want to get quick profits from investing in btc, and want big profits, but I don't think there's anything wrong if people want to get rich quick from btc and get big profits, because most human nature is like that, and I myself also want get rich quick from investing in btc and want to get big profits. and in my opinion it's not wrong as long as the condition is that as a btc investor we have to accept the fact that the btc price is hard to rise or we only get a small amount of profit, or get a loss.
It's human nature to be greedy, so we don't need to get upset with others because when we were newbies, we used to have such thoughts. it would be a lie if someone said that they have invested in bitcoin but they don't want to get bigger and faster returns. Bitcoin is considered risky but has the potential to provide faster and larger returns than other assets like gold or real estate.  That's why we take risks to invest in bitcoin with the desire to change lives faster, so don't try to lie that we don't want high and fast returns.  None of us is without greed and envy.

and that is the very reason why a lot of newcomers are going into crypto because they thought they can easily get profits. but our approach will change when we are already here and learn more about market movements. but of course, the hope of getting good profits is always there but the aim of getting rich quick will fade once you understand more about this market.
With most of the new person into bitcoin, this used to be a big problem. There is big expectation without proper understanding about the market. When the investment doesn't return profit within their predicted time period they start to think of it. Some used to withdraw in loss, which is wrong way of using bitcoin. While using bitcoin we should have the patience to hold and it is a must to know better about the market and make the entry than just suffering without profit.
