361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a crypto bubble? Is a possible correction coming soon? on: March 02, 2024, 09:52:35 PM
I've been half expecting the market to dip and calm the hell down since back 50k. Seeing as it's in no way doing that, or any of the dips that did happen are rather insignificant since it just pumps right back up, hardly doubt we'd be seeing a correction anytime soon. Maybe at least till we hit ATH? I think most people are having the FOMO feels right now due to how much the market has pumped up in the past month or so. If we somehow breakthrough above 70k though then I don't really expect any correction coming anytime sooner.

We have been threading the needle at $62,000 and just like you, we thought that we will have a correction, but nothing has happened so far or at least the bulls doesn't want that as the market is in FOMO mode since last month and has never stop.

And with that kind of mindset and sentiment, this bubble might continue and will not stop until we hit new all time high before the halving?

What's important though is that even if we break $70,000, no one is going to sell. I mean, yeah why not, take profits, but if you are looking for more, then why wait and have the patience to see it get to at least 6 digits, IMHO.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 02, 2024, 09:21:57 PM
It will be a bad strategy if Canelo is reserving everything for a Bivol rematch. He is not getting any younger, and he should have rematch Bivol early, instead of going into John Ryder and Charlo fight, it will not add anything to his legacy (if he is still after it).
Maybe he is already content with his achievements now, and that is his legacy. For now, he doesn't want to take higher risks; he's done with that aspect. What he wants is just to cherry-pick and make money consistently. I know fans are upset as things aren't going the way we'd like for him, but, after all, this is business.

Beterbiev vs Benavidez could also be an intriguing match up. Both have power but Benavidez a bit taller and so we will see how Beterbiev can counter that height and reach advantage. But we will see, LHW division is looking to be very interesting division as Benavidez is moving up to challenge the two Russians.

And that will make Canelo slowly fade from the spotlight. Champions are seeking to fight for other champions, even moving up to have a better challenge. Unfortunately, Canelo has stopped challenging himself, especially after his loss to Bivol.

I don't think boxers will be contented with their performance or legacy. We have seen Manny for instance, time and time again comeback to box even after he losses to Marquez and Floyd and still chooses risk risk fighters.

If Canelo doesn't want to take risk anymore at this point in his career, then his legacy will not be cemented if he duck Benavidez or didn't give Bivol a rematch and avenge his lost to him. But that's what his call, and I'm sure that the people around him are advising him to do that, chooses less risk but in the end, he will be judge when he retires.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 02, 2024, 01:40:24 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

Just because you lost in gambling does it mean that you are going to divorce your spouse. It's a shallow reason to be honest, and it didn't happen to me although I have a friend who did the walk of shame because he doesn't have any money left and then the next day he was crying on my shoulder. So I did help him by loaning money and didn't go as far as the wife divorcing him.

The wife reach out to me as well, but he thank me and nowhere did I see reason from her to divorce my friend. Not everyone is the same though. But if the spouse is on the right frame, I don't think that divorce will be in the discussions.

And so I voted for: I forgive him/her.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: March 02, 2024, 01:20:13 PM
Anyone seen this before?

https://twitter.com/ABeterbiev/status/1718280626300760493

Beterbiev is funny guy, Lol, but you can look at the reaction of Bivol here. But at least we will finally see the undisputed fight.

And just like that, the odds are in favor of Beterbiev, @1.86, Bivol @1.88.

So most likely this odds are going to move as we inch closer to the fight.

I love the sportsmanship of both boxers..... They are not trash-talking, but we know what we can expect in the ring. I would say, this will be a real battle since these two are genuine warriors in the ring, and the way they behave suggests they are well-prepared for the upcoming fight. They are not disrespecting each other; it's just pure business. Surely, the fans are not going to regret watching the fight as there will be no boring moments here.

Probably it's because both are Russians and so they try to be cordial when they did that face-off. But in any case, the fight is already on schedule and for sure we might hear some trash talking but not like the American way of talking about their opponents.

Yes, for sure this is going to be one of the biggest fights in LHW in recent years. And as per odds, it has switch hands as well and obviously, there are gamblers who's putting big money already as early as this month as they want to take advantage of the early odds.
365  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 01, 2024, 11:02:58 PM
There are a lot of gamblers here, and each casinos are competing for that slice in a pie.

It's not just that. In addition to the gamblers that are on the forum, the signatures that we wear make the casino rise in terms of SEO, and we must also take into account the people who visit the casino without being registered, who are an important part too, and can access the casinos that are advertised here by clicking on the links in the signatures.

The good thing is that the pie they are sharing is a huge pie. The crypto gambling industry is already in the billions, and with the ongoing popularity of crypto, the numbers will just continue to grow. Each platform has its own way of introducing itself to the public, and the more they are eager to advertise, the more the industry will improve as a whole. This casino is quite new but is already gaining popularity here, and probably outside the forum too.

Right, traditional based and now online gambling is a big business, billions to be share around and it is just the beginning. And I'm under the impression now that online gambling is taking over from the landbase casinos, as they are becoming popular because ease of use readily accessible to the market. We even have seen a lot of promotions here in the community with faces of big sport athletes of our time.

There are a lot of social media or even forum that really focuses on gambling that this casinos can promote and advertised. But if it crypto based, this community is the top best place to promote their casinos.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 10:24:10 PM
-snip
Congratulations to her but I can't help but wonder how much will be deducted from her winnings because of taxes because as far as I know, the USA taxes lottery winners but I don't know if the tax % is different on scratch ticket winners and Powerball winners(or other lotteries they have there).

this winning could be extremely helpful to her, it might not be a million-dollar win but it is still a significant amount.

Here it goes,

https://tax.iowa.gov/iowa-tax-gambling

So I think it's just the same for lottery regardless if it is scratch ticket as it falls on the category of gambling.

Obviously, every winner is helpful to us, and even if we think that she needed money, there will be times that we need some extra to pull if necessary. So she is very lucky hitting that huge amount unlike the majority of us who even can't hit $500 when we gamble, LOL.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: March 01, 2024, 10:01:42 PM
If Tank's mission for his career is to preserve his unbeaten record then I reckon that he is only in this sport to make some money for retirement. He has the talent to create a legacy, however, his motivation will stop from doing this. There are only very few fighters who will take risks to become the greatest. Pacman in boxing and Khabib in MMA are certainly my favorite choices.

Everyone though is here for the business of making big money until they retired. Floyd has set that precedent already, there could be some who chases for legacy, but majority including Tank Davis wanted to be the next Floyd. But it's hard to blame them, they can just give us the reasons that they put their lives on the line when they fight and so they deserved to be paid more.

I do agree, Pacman's mindset is different, that's why he achieved greatness even though he has a lot of lost in his record. Khabib retired undefeated, but it's more on his mentality as his father died and he can go thru MMA without his father in his corner.
These two are champions who have a good reputation from the start. I mean, they are exciting to watch, unlike other self-proclaimed great boxers or MMA fighters, but in reality, the fans are not entertained when they fight. They are a good example of fighters who are willing to risk everything to be great; money is just next for them.

Hopefully though, we can see Tank stepping his game and fighting the champion in 135 lbs like Shakur Stevenson and the winner here.
That would be fun to watch. Although I can say that Tank is good, Shakur seems to not have any weaknesses based on his last fights, so it will be tough for Tank to win here and on how to land his power against a very smart and quick boxer.

Everyone has his weakness though, I think Shakur hasn't been tested in his career, same with Tank that's why we didn't see any flaw on their game as of yet. The best thing about this elite boxers is that when they face great boxers, they elevate their games.

So I'm expecting either we wins here and fight Shakur next, it will be a great matchup. It will be fun as we are going to witness great boxing, Shakur is defensive and his bread and boxer is his counter. But let's say he will face Loma which is hi-tech, both of them are going to stretch not just their skills, but also their boxing IQ and trying to outsmart each other.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 01, 2024, 09:34:03 PM
I will answer based on my experience:

I want to believe that we all agree that our betting budget should be within 5% -10% of our monthly income as responsible gamblers. However, our perspective on sports betting differs. Look at the gambling sentences and indicate which of the statements you agree or disagree with. You could also write a brief explanation for your standpoint

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.

This could be true if you just started your gambling session, so obviously you will not go all-in. But there are times that when my bankroll is going down, I might take that one big risk to go all in, at least to recover or just go home and exit.

2. Bet the same amount on every bet.

Depends on the game you play, maybe in slots, again, if you are just starting and trying to get a feel of the game, then maybe same amount at least in the next 10 or 20 spins.

3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

This is applicable for conservative gamblers, but for those who are hook and with the proliferation of online gambling, I don't see gamblers now playing just once a day. I have seen and in my case, play more than once per day and trying to hit that big win.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 01, 2024, 09:10:20 PM

That was a long time ago; a lot of things have changed now, and it's not relevant anymore. What is Ryan Garcia trying to deliver here? Does he want to convince the fans that he can beat Haney because he was knocked out by Tank when he was a teenager? Ryan has really done things to gain so much attention, but in the end, he is still the one who suffered a defeat against a great boxer like Haney.

I do agree, it was a long time ago, video shows nothing and as someone says, it's very old as Haney was young during that time and Davis was about to hit his prime and it seems that the crowd around is pro Tank Davis anyway. But I think this is the first time that we will see a fight that both has cross path in the amateurs so they really know each other already, and the record is 3-3. I haven't heard or seen a fight in pro level wherein the boxers have face each other this many times in the amateurs.

Also it will be interesting what will be the numbers here even if the fight is in Barclays, very far from Las Vegas where this two has a lot of fan based.

I'm expecting that it could go on a 1 million PPV buys again for Ryan? Cementing his as the next cash cow?
370  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 01, 2024, 08:32:30 PM
It's just the start of the month and after a minor dip, here comes the bulls again with all his might and pushing the price again above $62,000 and 22% in the last 7 days. It's scary to see this numbers, but what can we say? It's a win win for us, whether it will go on a higher ups again and see a new all time high, or there will be a huge drop or reversal. There were even some TA that says a 20%-30% dip is possible.

But I voted for a reversal, not to burst the bubble, but it seems it's hard to maintain this phase as we are not yet in the halving. It looks like FOMO for the outside. But let's see and hope that I'm wrong here.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Future of Gambling on: February 29, 2024, 10:36:59 PM
I think it would be kinda neat to pop on the Oculus VR headset and be in a virtual casino. It would obviously be more fun if you are betting real money while doing so and enjoying the whole casino experience, but I think people would still have fun even if it was just for virtual currency that holds no value. Maybe that could be a way to get addicted gamblers their fix without betting real money?

I don't know if we can trick our minds even it we are in VR that we are playing with "real money", I'm sure gamblers will know the difference and obviously the feeling will not be the same. But this could really be a trend, I think one thing we can get is that gambling will be more accessible to everyone, might be good or bad depending on how we see it.

And we will have different experience, it will open up possibilities for innovative and creative gaming experiences that go beyond traditional casino games. I just wonder though what will be the regulatory framework in case that VR will be accepted in the future in gambling?
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next higher bitcoin price on: February 29, 2024, 10:16:40 PM
for me personally, I'm waiting for it to hit around 78-80k usd$ to be able to proclaim we have made it past the the 2021 ATH.

The reason for this is because of all the inflation we have experienced since then. If you compare a dollar purchase in 2021 to a purchase say in 2024 then ~69kusd$ = ~78kusd$

I would like to say tho that reaching the last ath or the inflation adjusted last ath is not my price target for this bull market, its much much higher. My guesses, and they are total guesses, I dont have a crystal ball or any sooth saying skills, are:

Very Conservative: 110k
Conservative: 138k
Bullish: 170k
Ultra Bullish: 250k

Lets see what happens, keep stacking!

I like this approach, it's like a ladder and then slowly selling your Bitcoin to get that profit. I do agree that even in the bull run we can still go and keep on stacking sats. I had done it before in the last bull run, and regardless of the price of the all time high, it's good to see that your portfolio is growing. It might be tough for some, but if go pass this mentally you are in for a big surprise because it's going to be easy.

So in this case, I will wait and see at the conservative price and range with Ultra Bullish.

I'm also seeing that it's possible to see the price of Bitcoin hitting more than $200,000 if the scenario is ripe for a ultra bullish phase till 2025.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 29, 2024, 09:55:07 PM
Moloney loves a hard and grind fight, very close and then throwing everything. I think he will try to test Gaballo early with that kind of strategy and see how Raymart will respond. And if that happens, I think Gaballo will have the advantage. Unless Moloney started to fight in the distance and uses his jab and try to avoid the power of Gaballo early. But he is fighting in his country, and I think he will be carried away to fight toe to toe so that he can please his fans. One thing that might go against Gaballo is that if this fight goes on, he might round out of gas which is his weakness. So he should really be 100% condition here, and thinks that it's possible that this fight is going till the last round.

Being in his home turf might give him advantage on this one. Remember, Pacquiao vs. Horn, so if Gaballo wants to win this fight. Better aim for knockout at early rounds. If this will go the distance, Moloney, may possibly win via unanimous or split decision.

Gaballo should aim to win this match for him to wave his flag and redeem the recent losses of his fellow Filipino boxers. I understand Filipinos are aiming to find another boxing caliber like Pacquiao. And it seems, no one yet is following his footsteps.

For sure, a lot of Filipinos are voting for Gaballo, hence, leading the poll.   Tongue

Based on the poll, Gaballo by Knockout is the winner here. Majority is seeing Gaballo, although not as experience, has the power to win here via knockout. And when you mentioned the fight in Australia between Pacquaio and Horn, it's like a stigma that Australia has been biased but I do not think that is the case anymore.

But just to avoid that kind of controversy, Gaballo should aim and win by knockout here so that there will be no doubts about the result. Or at least make it a clear winner on the scorecard just like what Haney did to Kambosos so that there will be no "robbery" in this fight.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: February 29, 2024, 11:36:33 AM
I want to know how it feels among those of you who gamble using altcoins or bitcoins, basically the crypto you are using today has increased significantly, we know that in 2022-2023 coins that are small are not so valuable, and how does it feel today? Is there a little regret or do you not care because the money you lose in gambling is a necessity for you, so you don't care about the crypto you have lost in gambling for the past two years?

1 BTC = 1 BTC others will say. But obviously if we look at how big the value as compare to fiat, then you might have reservations of using them. As far as altcoins though, if we look at today's pricing they are still way off from their previous all time high as compare to Bitcoin that we might see next month that we might set a new all time high.

So the answer could be very different from each individual, on how they see the price correlation of Bitcoin relative to Fiat.

Not the first time though, every bull run we have this kind of dilemma, and still people are gambling with their precious Bitcoin.

376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 29, 2024, 10:11:44 AM
I don’t know anything about Devin Haney, but Ryan Garcia seems more and more cringe in every clip I see of him. I think for that reason I’m probably going to go with Haney to win this fight. I think the Tank fight broke Ryan Garcia mentally. I wouldn’t put money behind him vs anyone until he gets another win under his belt.

It's just typical for Ryan Garcia to act this way, he has tweet about his wife fighting as well, and he says that they should pay here a minimum $500,000 LOL. Yes, Haney is the huge favorite here so it make sense for smart bettors to go for him. ML is not that attracted though, but there are a lot options that can give us a good return if we go on Haney here.

Ryan has a history of mental breakdown before and that's why he quit for a while before making a comeback and taking a new trainer in Goosen. However, when he lost to Tank Davis, the switches again, this time he is under the tutelage of Derrick James who trains Errol Spence and a bunch of others.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trying to find a Sweet Bonanza Max win Video. on: February 28, 2024, 10:30:15 PM
As you know Sweet Bonanza is one of the most popular slots, a lot of streamers love to play it, and the max win is supposed to be x21,000. But when we try to find a video of a max win, it is hard/impossible.

Yes, it's really hard to hit that max win in Sweet Bonanza, however, this could be one reasons why a lot of streamers or even casual slot players are into this game because they want to hit that max win. But so far, none has been lucky enough.

If we compare this with Wanted Dead or a Wild, in Wanted we can find tons of videos showing a Max win. So, i would like to open the discussion.

It's really also hard to win Wanted Dead or a Wild to even get a bonus round, much more with a Max win. Maybe it's because of their RTP that's why we have seen a lot of gamblers hitting that big win by Hack Saw gaming.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 28, 2024, 10:10:45 PM
This type of trickery and the attitude of avoiding risk is making me speculate if Tank was really injured vs. Pitbull Cruz. I reckon if someone proposes a rematch, Tank will avoid Pitbull similar to Canelo and his avoidance of Benavidez hehehee.

He didn't give Pitbull the rematch, he has has move on. But we all know that he is fighting lesser and soft opponents. Again, it could have been because they want to preserved his unbeaten record like his mentor Floyd.

Tank avoided the rematch with Pitbull but when the latter struggled against the green but awkward Giovanni Cabrera in his last fight, a rematch was mentioned again. But maybe because of the many criticisms that Tank is just cherry picking and only wanted the rematch when Pitbull was showing weak in its last fight it failed to materialize probably because of the network unwilling to guarantee of a big purse.

Anyways, I expect Loma to win and become champion again. But I do not think he still has enough left to beat Shakur. Shakur just said he is fighting again but will only honor the last remaining fight with Top Rank. So I am not sure if there are networks and promoter that are willing to offer more money for a boring fighter like Shakur.

That's what I'm trying to say with Tank, he chooses easy fight, that it might look and close in paper but still he is the A-side and going to knockout his opponent. Even in the Rolly Romero fight, Rolly in relatively unknown, but they try to spin as if Rolly has a punchers change against Tank and that Floyd or someone from his team thinks that Rolly can beat Tank.

I think that will be the leverage of Top Rank for Shakur to sign with them again, he will be given the chance to fight Loma which is one of his dream fights. It will be a big test for him and let's see if he can get the belt, assuming the Loma wins against George Kambosos in Australia.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 28, 2024, 09:47:50 PM
And if we can say that this year is Japan's golden era in boxing, then we can conclude it as well that during Pacman's prime and Nonito Donaire it could also be very well considered as Philippines golden era. However, we all know that sooner or later those boxers are going to retire.

I do agree that this fight is still very close, but I check my favorite sports bookies, and as usual the odds is not yet listed.

Moloney though might be the slight favorite, but definitely Gaballo can be considered as live dog here.
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: February 28, 2024, 09:30:46 PM
Bitcoin is playing in a quite different way than in previous history. We have always seen Bitcoin reset before a mega pump. But this time we are witnessing the rapid growth of Bitcoin. Today we experienced a yearly ATH hit of $64K and a dump again as well. I have seen Coinbase users encounter a bug and see zero balance on their account. That's why people became panicky and dumped from $64K to $60K again. However, Bitcoin is still pretty strong due to ETFs and new investments.

Yeah, maybe just a hiccup but I don't think it will be the reason for a reset, price is still hovering on the $63,000. And everyone is excited to see this huge pump at the end of the month. Bulls are not resting till they got the price to a new all time high before the halving and I'm sure everyone of us here are thinking the same. It could be the first time for us to see that kind of push, and as you have said, it could be due to the ETF's and everyone is on the FOMO and doesn't missed the boat.

We still have a full month to accomplished that, going into $70,000 pre-halving. And for sure, those who have been holding for years are very happy to see this price, but I guess no one is going to sell till next year or see what will be the top price in this cycle.
